My nails turned out absolutely beautiful, and TIA did an excellent job. TIA was extremely professional, very skilled, and so friendly and welcoming throughout the entire appointment. What really stood out to me was how much TIA prioritized the health of my natural nails. First, the positives- most gorgeous nail salon ever. Everything is SO cute, props to them for investing so much into a gorgeous, whimsical, pretty spa. I love that. Also, they do great work. Talented nail techs and really high quality manis/pedis! Third, I see the owner working really hard. She's dedicated and very hands on and I see her trying and caring. I can tell she wants her customers to have a nice experience. But ok- serious scheduling problems & it's a pattern. We called to book appointments, they told us 345 would work, then texted to push it to 4 which wasn't an issue at all, but then we got there at 4 and my daughter waited in the chair for 30+ mins before they started. The whole time I'm on edge because I can already sense we're not going to get out of there by 5:30, and I have kids to pick up from daycare, so coming was a huge mistake. Please please please next time just don't say you have availability for us at 4 if what you really mean is 4:40. It's about being clear and managing expectations. So I stopped the girl at the front desk as sweetly as I could, and said I need to leave by 5:30, if that's not realistic then let me know and we'll have to come back. I told her I was getting really worried since they hadn't started on my daughter's manicure and it was this elaborate design that also required tips and dip. She was just like "ok, I'll tell them.." MEANWHILE! A very flustered woman is storming out of the salon and ~rescinding her tip she left~ and sort of made a spectacle of it, going "she's been sitting there for an hour!" (In reference to her daughter) SAME STRUGGLE. I watched after she left and there was definitely a trace of snarky giggling between the 2 staff members at the front desk. (What's so funny??That's on you guys) The last thing you want to do when you're paying for a relaxing experience is get into confrontation or conflict, but that happens here! It's uncomfortable. I want to come in and be a respectful visitor, tip well, have a nice time, and leave happy, leave feeling like we were welcome and not in the way. The OTHER issue.... t h r e e times during my pedicure I asked my nail tech if I could please put rhinestone jewels on the big toe. NOPE. He kept going with the pedicure and nodding his head. I guess he wasn't comprehending. I tried to stop him 3 times to add the jewels on! Maybe it's coming, I thought. And I know it's a first world problem, but still, I just wanted the silly accent nail done. At the end he's like "done. You like?" And very sweetly I asked if I could have the jewels added (that's #4). Only then when it was over, did the manager/owner come over to intervene, and don't get me wrong she WAS kind and gracious about it, but she said that the nail art jewels needed to be done sooner and "next time tell the front desk person that's what you want" I just nodded and said ok thanks no big deal... but I DID TELL THE FRONT DESK GIRL! I showed her the little box of rhinestones and said please add this on to the service, I know it's extra, thank you! She said ok and then that was it. I could do her job better than her and it's her fault for not taking initiative and not paying attention, not relaying that request to the nail tech if the sweet nail tech gentleman I had doesn't speak English. For me, paying for a nail service but then just flat out not getting what you ask for is a dealbreaker. What did I get? A polite & earnest excuse masking a lecture at the end as I'm paying, that next time I should ask for it better. Uggggghh. If it was my business, I'd fix the problem then and there vs telling the customer what to do differently next time. I do respect the owner like I said, she has good people skills and was all sweet and telling us we can get the nail design on a future visit and then something about taking 20% off today's service. How can you argue with that. But ya, I just left sad and defeated and not exactly enthusiastic to come back. I respect them, I think they do beautiful nails, it's clear their heart is in it and they're trying, and like I said the salon is gorgeous. Let's talk about how my time at Nail Boutique was a blast! As soon as I walked in, I was met with a beautiful AND CLEAN interior with beautiful decor. Beautiful art work and fixtures. Customer service from the time I entered and throughout my service was top tier. I was seated immediately and got my services started. I came in for a gel manicure and pedicure. My tech for my pedicure was the sweetest gentleman. I don't know about you guys, but sometimes the pedicures can hurt and you have a rough tech. Not my new friend, he was so gentle and did a BEAUTIFUL job. My mani tech started soon after and when I say, she ate down on the quality and quick service. After leaving I realized there were a couple things wrong with my acrylic refill. I reached out to just show what was going on with my nails, not expecting anything to come from it. Jackie said to come back in the next day (3/3) and she would fix them! This isn't something I've experienced with a nail salon before, and I truly appreciate their willingness to fix/correct what went wrong. I've been a customer at Nail Boutique for years, always getting my trusted pink-and-white dipping powder with Rick. This time, I wanted to switch it up with a white acrylic fill. Instead, I was persuaded into trying their gel builder, being told white acrylic would look dingy and not refill well. I trusted the process, but after a day, I was not impressed with the overall result. It was thick, uneven, and lumpy. When I called Jackie, the owner, she had a curt tone from the start, with an air of annoyance. As the conversation went on, it became condescending. She told me I should have booked with Rick if I expected a certain outcome. I didn't call to be lectured. I called to have an issue fixed. She refused a refund and only offered to redo the same service I didn't want. After years of frequenting the salon with no issues , I expected them to remove it and offer something I actually liked. Do not go here unless you are absolutely certain of what service you want and know you'll like it. Don't let them steer you into something else, even if they say, "Don't worry, we'll fix it." Let me start off by saying I'm a NY girl! When moving to Dallas, I knew I needed to find a nail salon that could do the type of nails and provide the quality of service I was used to in New York. Nail boutique has EXCEEDED my expectations. The vibes are immaculate, all of the staff are so nice. The owner Jackie is very sweet and you can tell she cares about the clients. Shout out to my nail guy Rick who is meticulous and always has my nails looking amazing. I'm so happy I found this place and didn't have to try out a bunch of places before. I get gel fills with the occasional nail design and they can do anything any everything you can imagine. The price point is comparable to NY except here they do charge you for nail shape even if you came in with the shape originally but I'm told that's standard in the area. A few things other things I was surprised by is being charged to cut my nails and also being charged extra if you have longer nails. Those are the only few things that they don't do in NY. Nonetheless, it's not something that will deter me from continuing to come and get my nails done here. read more

First and foremost, let me open with saying what is the purpose of booking online if the staff is not going to refer to the booking notes? I went to this place today, Saturday, April 26th, after booking services online for dip powder with design and a basic pedicure. When I arrived, the manager on duty, who I presume to be "Jackie" asked me what pedicure service I wanted. I asked her what the difference was between the basic and the Mai Tai pedicure, and she claimed that it was using a callous grater and a longer massage. She then asked if I wanted a gel pedicure or a basic polish, and I responded saying I wanted a regular polish. She then invited me to pick out the color that I wanted. As far as the Mai Tai pedicure was concerned, neither of the discriminators between basic and Mai Tai "Jackie" claimed would happen happened. Next, it took about 20 to 25 minutes before my dip powder specialist came out. I immediately showed her a picture of the design that I wanted, and she proceeded to pick out colors. After the initial steps of removing my current dip powder, and another 10 to 15 minutes, this specialist admitted that she does not do design and was getting someone who could do the design. At this point, my pedicure service had ended, and I asked the new manager on duty how long it would take before I could get my nails done. He told me that they were getting someone who could do the design, and I politely informed him that I had booked a service with design. He immediately responded placing blame on me, claiming that when I was asked what dip powder I wanted, I showed a solid color. This is simply untrue. I never was asked to show a dip powder color, only a pedicure color. I promptly corrected him, and he informed me that the lady who would do my nails was wrapping up with another guest. As soon as she was wrapping up with the other client, she promptly came over to start servicing me, and I offered that we move to a regular nail station since my pedicure was now done. She did a good job and was sweet; however, there was a blemish on my nail, which I was willing to overlook in the interest of time. When it was all said and done, I ended up being there two hours and 15 minutes, when my services combined should've taken no more than one hour. At check out, there was no acknowledgment of my long wait or apologies. I responded saying that they needed to address their mistake. The manager on duty was only willing to offer me a 10% discount. I told him he could do better than that, and his response was that it would be taken out of his paycheck. He was also quick to place blame on the earlier manager, which is fine; however, I told him that the customer is always right, and he should not have blamed me for their mistake when I first alerted him to the issue. He attempted to call the manager, and when he could not reach her, he restated to me that the best he could do with 10%. I insisted that he could do better. When he was able to get ahold of the manager, come to find out it was the same manager when I first arrived. He repeated to me that he could then do a 15% discount with my total coming to $113. That meant my very simple dip powder and nail design was $75 and my pedicure was $38. Unacceptable. At this point, I said I was not paying $113 and the manager on duty handed the cell phone to the staff who was in training to talk to the manager over the phone. The manager insisted that she was not doing anything more than 15%, and even told me that I had never booked a service with design, and they had only recently changed my service to design when they realized that is what I wanted today. I quickly corrected her, telling her that that was untrue. I told her I had an email confirmation from the day prior confirming that I had booked dip powder WITH DESIGN. At this point, she kept repeating untruths. I told her that at this point, I was going to write a bad review if they didn't admit to their wrongdoing & make accommodations for it. She continued to ignore the fact that I had evidence to the contrary, & when I told her she was gaslighting me, her response was very disrespectful. She then warned me that services were rendered & I needed to pay. I told her & the staff that this is not the type of service that you pay for, and there was no reason for me to have stress for a service that is supposed to be relaxing. Quite frankly, it was very embarrassing to have to talk to professionals about their unprofessional behavior in front of other guests. This country has had a very awful behavior towards minorities and people of color. As a black woman, who pays and tips well, I did not appreciate this demeaning behavior. I was willing to pay for services rendered, but I should not have paid more than $100 for what I received, especially given the long wait for THEIR mistake. He can shape very well, he does amazing nail designs and I haven't brought an inspo picture in that he didn't deliver very close to the same thing. I came in for a simple builder gel fill, but ended up wasting 2 hours of my day with a slow, confused tech who clearly didn't know what she was doing. Product was dripping down the sides of my nails, and she had to scrape off a ton of it. Not a great start. Then came the real kicker -- they charged me for a full set without telling me. When I questioned it at checkout, they spoke with the tech, who suddenly claimed she did a full set. Funny, because we literally had a conversation beforehand where she asked what I wanted and I told her I only needed a fill (my nails were intact with no chips or cracks), and she agreed. If you're going to decide mid-service that I needed something extra, that's fine - but communicate it before you do it. All she actually did was remove the polish and patch one small area of lifting -- there was no full set done, no reconstruction, nothing close to what they claimed. If you're going to charge for a full set, then be honest about it before you start. Don't halfway do the job and then expect me to pay top dollar for a service I didn't agree to. I explained all of this to the male manager, who barely listened and then insulted me further by offering a whopping $5 off. Thanks for nothing. Very unprofessional nail spa. I came in at 1:20 for a fill in and up front was a "training manager" Peter who was on the phone. I was not greeted with a hello or anything until about 20 seconds later. The "manager" told my daughter, someone had already used the card!!!! EXCUSE ME?! What? This salon is corrupt! The "manager" claimed the gift card was used 3 times since Feb this year. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! I had to speak with the manager over the phone and ARGUE with her so she would honor the gift card. I was at home but was ready to drive to the salon to show the receipt. The worst part- the gift card was $60 and the service was $50 and the manager gave the $10 tip to the nail tech without my permission. In addition, this salon treats people of color poorly. I WILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER DIME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! But now to get to the nails... and I'll speak on behalf of my three friends and for myself. For me, the pedicure was absolutely phenomenal! It was pricey but well worth every minute. My manicure was great too. I guess the only minor complaints I have is on my thumb, in the corner, it's missing the dip (since perhaps the cuticle wasn't cut prior), shape of nails a bit off, and snowflake design could have been a bit more precise. But overall I think my experience was good since my nails somewhat matched the picture I brought in! Now for my friends.. one of them had a picture as well and it looked somewhat like it but a bit sloppy. And my other friend and husband agreed hers looked sloppy too as well as the tech not taking as great of care and time on her like mine did. Oh well it's a hit or miss I told her depending on place and person. But the one thing that bothered me most was a few techs talking in Vietnamese about my other friend. Well that wasn't nice. My sister and I can understand Vietnamese pretty well and we have been to a few places that have done this as too. I would go back and give it a try but right now I stand at a 3 star. Upon check out I was told it would be $55 for my Nexgen/Dipping Powder of my NATURAL LONG & WELL SHAPED NAILS + a classic Pedicure for a total of $82.00. NOTE: The 10% Promotion for M-Wed. Was also not given to me. When I inquired on the price I was shown that I had been charged an additional three times of $5 listed as "add length." I inquired further hoping they had forgotten these are my natural nails and was told by the manager it was due to "extra time and materials." Despite having finished at the scheduled end time for a regular dipping powder & NO communication about the charge until I asked about the inflated price at check out. I smiled back & replied "I've never been charged extra for having healthy nails & inquired on the CENTIMETER difference of up charging someone for natural nails. All the while my nail tech, Hu, sat beside her and said nothing, knowing it took no extra amount of time or materials used. After singing praises & Knowing my nail bed and nail shape is naturally square and well manicured. Recognizing the BS + value of my own time as a Finance Manager: I said ok, paid & kept it moving. Someone smiling & being polite does not mean fairness or honesty. Nor does it override the Principle. A woman with naturally strong & healthy nails being up charged as if they are fake is illogical! It takes THE SAME amount of time to dip my NATURAL fingernails into the dipping powder; As it would if they were whatever CENTIMETER DIFFERENCE they deem a woman's fingernails nails "should be" to avoid an extra $1.50 per finger charge. No additional materials required. Compared to nail designs, adding on tips, gel-x extensions or acrylic nails which IS more time & materials. What is the centimeter difference a woman's natural nails should be to avoid being charged an extra $1.50 per finger?? Below are my fingernails, natural length shape straight after soaking off my old Nexgen & finished outcome. As you can see- my nail bed and NATURAL nail shape below requires "no additional time" let alone filing or "material's." "More time and material" for a woman with naturally strong & "long" fingernails, natural nail bed & shape is wrong! More importantly: Withholding Price change information for ANY business & surprising the customer with it on the bill is deceptive at best. I chuckled in my head at the HUGE lack of awareness to each woman's individual health & lifestyle & how that DIRECTLY influences their nailbed nail shape, nail strength & NATURAL nail length within the nail salon industry unfortunately. I did not enjoy the passive discrimination, dismissiveness, no communication of an up charge, & overall lack of customer service shown. [E.g oh she's "complaining" because she can't afford the extra $15 with no knowledge of my lifestyle, salary or personality.] Again-- someone's politeness doesn't mean honesty & fairness. The Nail Boutique is welcoming from the minute you walk into the door. You are greeted almost immediately and checked in promptly (if you've made an appointment). I booked a dip nail (with tips) and the lavender pedicure with gel color. Front desk staff was amazing, I came in with a picture from Pinterest Of what I wanted and they were kind enough to be honest that they would try their best to get as close to the picture as possible but colors may vary. I appreciated the honesty and loved that they were helpful. Lam was my "nail artist" he provided me with excellent customer service and went above and beyond to really mimic the look I wanted as well as trial and errored through color options. The end result was perfect for me and he really stayed patient and focused with me through my experience. Hanna gave me my pedicure and helped me pick a gel color that matched the pink color in my nails. They turned out perfect! She also gave a really great pressured massage. The lavender pedi experience was definitely relaxing. Five star review and I will absolutely be returning!! I have been coming here for quite some time now. I do love the ambiance of the nail salon. It's clean, new, and well decorated looking. I have maybe come here 4 times or so since they have opened around pandemic time. They have great COVID measures when it comes to washing your hand when you come in and mask mandates when needed. Dipping powder is all shared here. It would be nice if they poured out the powder used separately for each client since COVID nowadays. They normally do a good job and will correct if needed as long as you tell them. I only had one time where there was pricing miscommunication but Jackie, the manager, still honored the price discussed between me and nail tech. It was in regards to nail art design. Normally I just show a design picture and they can always do it. Every time a nail has chipped or broke, they also honored fixing it as long as it was within a day or so. I believe there was only one time I've waited a tiny bit like 10-15 minutes even when I made an appointment. This spot is pretty busy normally so I don't complain if it's only 10 minutes or so. They have a great waiting area. I always make an appointment than just walking in, so unsure if they take walk ins. My only thing is if I want a design it has to be on dip and not gel. I can go to other locations that do design on gel, maybe not on regular of course. I understand the reasoning to prevent a customer to come back and say it chipped off because dip is more longevity and will stay on better than all other types of service. However, I do not like the process of dip nails. It's the same time length of service to get done since they have to dip multiple times. I normally go for gel or regular polish/services because cost. At this location, I basically don't have an option to save cost since I want a design and it has to be on dip. I also did acrylic nails for the first time here. I loved how it looked but again was not a fan of the process. I wish this location offered gel x extension nails, which I know is not common in TX. read more
