OMG. What the heck just happened? I usually come all the time but today is my absolute LAST TIME EVER. I spent $122 on a terrible experience. First of all, I have anxiety so it's really hard for me to speak up when I get services rendered. I actually did and boy was I sorry. There was an off comment that was made about me changing my color that I laughed off. But then all I said was that the color on my big toe looked darker than the other toes. They said no it didn't and another person came over and she said "How?". They went back and forth with me and then I just shut down and just told them don't worry about it because now people were starting to look. She was like well we can just add another coat to the other toes. Like if it was such an easy fix why make a big deal about it? It's not like they painted all my toes and I was like I didn't like it or wanted to start all over. You mention I've been coming a long time which is an even bigger reason to not treat me that way. Then it made it seem like the ladies didn't do a good job and they did I was happy the color just looked off so then I felt bad for them. Maybe things would not have panned out this way if the owners were there today but I'm not sure. When I was done getting ready to pay she actually made it worse and had a slight attitude with me and was bringing up stuff I never even had a problem with and was like "we worked to make you happy". I feel like adding the extra coat should have been the end of it but to be honest I don't think they wanted to do that in the first place which is why I got the rebuttal. I can't support a business that makes the customer feel guilty or not want to speak up. I was very uncomfortable and just wanted to get out of there. I wanted to add chrome so I really didn't even get what I wanted but I'll just find another shop to see if they can do it. I usually am also offered a water or just something to drink and they didn't this time. All of this was said in a very nice way btw. So I'm not sure why I was treated that way. There are so many nail salons to choose from so...I would give one this another thought. Go somewhere else guys! read more

I spent $112 for a terrible service; the lady who attended to my toes was sighing throughout the entire process. She was quite rough with my feet. Additionally, the gentleman who performed my manicure did a poor job on my nails, and I had to ask him to clean up the excess mess he left on my skin from the gel nail polish. Not only did she give the most thorough foot/leg massage ever, but my toes look so cute! I was literally in foot massage heaven. The owners are literally the nicest people you will ever meet they clearly care about each and every customer. I went in there asking for a manicure and a pedicure. He misunderstood what I was saying because I only wanted a manicure on my fingers without nail polish, but I still wanted a pedicure. He asked me two more times and I felt like I made myself clear, but when I sat in the chair, she wasn't going to start running water or doing anything. She simply started taking my nail polish off my toes, so I reiterated that I wanted a pedicure and he literally raised his voice to me in front of everybody in saying I asked you that three times and I said yes, I told you I wanted a pedicure anyway it was very rude and unprofessional and they did a crappy job and it wasn't the first time I haven't been 100% satisfied but my normal place was booked so I went to the next closest one which was them and I'll never make that mistake again read more

Have to update. As nice as the owner was, the nails did not hold up. Several broken nails and that's never happened to me with any salon after only a few days. The tech did not get all of the color off my nails and now it just looks like there's dirt under my nails. The nails that needed length look nothing like my natural nails like she didn't even try to match them. I paid $80 for something that didn't last a week. I do not recommend. They are overpriced and do not use products that last. I was very disappointed and cannot recommend. read more

I've been here twice now thanks to a recommendation by a friend who said she tried nail salons all over McKinney/Allen, and this is the best one. They proved it! You are greeted with friendly smiles and a welcoming attitude. I like to cut my own nails short before I get pedicures, and other nail salons scrutinized me for it, but not here. They did not judge. My feet always feel soft when I leave, and if you are used to pedicures, you know that is not always the case everywhere. Hands down the best place to get Nexgen nails in the area. The owner is super friendly and remembered me after i went about twice. She knew my name and who I'd want as my nail tech. Ask for Alex! She's the BEST. The owner and my tech would also remember my favorite color since I'd only get purple nails lol. They're pretty flexible for walk-ins. You have to wait a bit usually cuz they're always pretty busy, but not bad of a wait. If you make an appointment it's much faster. Reasonable pricing- i dont think it's much different from other places. They also have a rewards program so you can get a discount after ur 5th visit or so (or every x amount of $ spent) read more

My nexgen nails weren't the best I've ever had done but, I'm willing to give this place another go. Price wise it's about the same as most other places so that doesn't deter me. The pedicure was great and I have no complaints about that! The owner & techs were super friendly and welcoming. They carry on conversation and, offer suggestions on your nails. The middle finger (in my pic) also has a clear spot where the nexgen was buffed off. I intentionally did not say anything about this to see if the owner or tech who both looked at my nails would notice it. I have only been here twice and I have gotten Lindsey both times. I can honestly say that I am more than pleased with my outcome. I typically am a big tipper, but even I feel like I don't tip them enough for their great service! The owners are amazing and VERY hands on. They know everyone on a first name basis and keep a watchful eye on their customers to make sure everyone is in good hands! As for my nail tech Lindsey, ASK FOR HER!! I don't like to give bad reviews but I had a bad experience here! They were in a hurry to finish up and messed up my hands. I asked to fix it and then they rushed again and messed up again. After I left and waited one hour to dry my pedicure, I changed my sandals and my nail polish come off! I've never experienced this ever in my 30 years of getting nails done. I should also mention they were not wearing mask or asking their customers too. Seems like they have no courtesy to others that expect everyone to wear a mask and that too properly. What a bogus response! I waited over 30 mins for the nail polish to dry so stop lying to me and people. I do have a regular salon and recommend everyone go there. Oscar Nail Salon on McDermott. Today was my first time going to Nail Trends in Allen. Let me first say that the customer service and overall experience were both amazing! I left feeling pampered and relaxed! I requested the Ice Cream pedicure with gel color and powder dip for my nails. The pedicure was beyond relaxing and he did my toes beautifully. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that did it as he was awesome! My nails turned out beautiful, as well. The lady that did my nails was named Thy. I took off one star because there was a little confusion on the colors I wanted. The owner knew what I wanted and even picked the colors but unfortunately there was a little bit of a language barrier and the tech didn't do exactly what I wanted. I also had asked for tips but she didn't understand me and I didn't correct her (this is my fault for not speaking up.) Alas, it's nail color, not that big of a deal! My other reason for taking one star off is that after my nails were finished she began the most epic scrub, massage of my arms/hands/neck and upper back and paraffin for my nails. It was wonderful and I just kept thinking wow this place just keeps on impressing me! The only problem is, I was charged $45 for the "crazy manicure" that I didn't ask for. I just assumed that it was standard. I was also up charged for doing different power dip colors on my hands. That's fine, I just wish I had been made aware of it. All in all, I would go back because the customer service and job they did was great, I just wish I would have known I was paying for and extra manicure I didn't request. read more
