Today I had a mani/pedi appointment; I needed gel removal from a mani/pedi done by a salon in another state & then wanted buff shine on fingernails and regular polish on toes. Unfortunately, May gouged my finger while trimming a cuticle, drawing blood (see photo). She did not tend to it & shortly after left without a word to work with another client. Because my nails still had a lot of gel residue, Belle finished up my mani, applying a medical cream to the wounded finger. Total to remove gel on all nails and basic mani/pedi (buff shine on fingers, regular polish on toes) was $75. It's good pricing and seems on a par with other salons, if not less expensive. I didn't think to request a discount for the damage to my cuticle, and it wasn't offered. A mixed experience overall. read more

I think this may be a first five star review of a nail bar I've done I've traveled to catch up with a friend in Plano, Texas and I thought it would be fun to have our nails done. My friend had a pedicure and manicure and because I just had a pedicure back in California. I decided to have my full set of nails done. I did a quick yelp search and found the reign salon had really great reviews and mental note to self. Don't judge a book by its cover. This is a humble looking nail bar in a modest strip mall loaded with food places. I can assure you they have great staff at this location. Communication is excellent because as hard as it is to say, it's often difficult to communicate with people when their English is not that great both my friend, and I had excellent experience being able to articulate what we both desired. My friend was super pleased with her regular pedicure and gel manicure. She gave me time to figure out what I wanted while she began working and I still couldn't figure it out so I just to start flipping through my phone and I find a shape I like and then I find a color that I like and then I was like you do whatever you want we'll go from there, and I came out with an amazing design not only that the experience was top-tier and the place is always clean. So my mom went to this place March 8th to get her nails don't the same day not even the next the same day just look at these photos just please don't go here at all. Not only did they mess up my mama nails they overcharged her 72 dollars after quoting on the phone and in person again to make sure of price 42 dollars so when she gets to the register they tell her oh it's 72 because we had to do some nonsense bull and of course she paid it because it just doesn't look good going back and forth and your from a different ethnic group. Going away this weekend and needed a pedicure. Was searching on Yelp and this pop up. Saw that it had good reviews and close to the house I decided to give it a try. The place is nice and small but had a bad smell. When I arrived I was ushered quickly to my seat. Any color selection was done by the sample colors they had for gel/dip/acrylic. I decided on a classic pedicure priced $30. Not too bad. However when my nail tech started my pedicure, I did not like it. At all. She barely pushed my cuticles I don't think I even feel her do it. I see hands moving but felt nothing. Then when it came to cutting the cuticle it felt like she just tap my toes with it and moved on. She was very light handed as if she was new and didn't know how to do it. She then proceed to do my heel scrub and then sugar scrub on my legs at the same time. Like after she scrub my heels she'll rub my legs back downs to my heels and then scrub my heels again. Which I've never had done before. Usually heels are scrub then place in the tub and then the sugar scrub is done on the legs. After all that came the massage. It was alright. A little disappointed at the end when instead of a hot towel being used, she used a dry towel and wiped off the lotion. I guess every salon is different. Overall, this experience has done it for me as I will not be coming back. Now excuse me while I go clean up whatever she missed. read more

And did I mention the hot stone pedicure??? holy mole - it's a massage for your feet. I HIGHLY recommend spending the extra money and pampering your tootsies. These women work exceptionally hard to run their salon, they pay attention to cleanliness and detail - and they are such a joy to be around for a couple of hours.
