My usual salon is closed on Mondays so we came to JoLi. The lady was nice and took my 12yr daughter. We showed a photo of pink and white French top nails with tiny bows near the white tips. She said yes I can do this. She got to work adding tips and dip for my daughter's nails and I took a phone call. It was 6:30 when we arrived and 8:00 when she finished. She struggled with the bows and when I went up to pay my daughter had basic ALL WHITE nails, no French tip, with big blue bows. Not what we requested at all. Joli nails is now under new ownership. It used to be such a staple for East Plano. It wasn't frivolous, a great place to get quality service. The new owners make you feel so rushed and I could tell weren't experienced. I spoke up about the color of my nails not being dark enough and I could tell after that they were talking about me. My manicure felt rushed and once Jenny was done she sat down to watch her phone. A new customer came in that had an appointment. Once he got there she rolled her eyes at him because she had to work. Seriously this is not professional. The prices have increased. It is still not too expensive but I would advise going somewhere else for a better overall experience. read more

Absolutely love this place! I went in for the first time a little over 2 weeks ago for a dip manicure with Lynn and they are still going strong!! She was amazing! Throughout the entire manicure she was thorough and made sure every step was nearly perfect. I even had a chip on my natural nail and she used the dip powder to give me that tip back so she wouldn't have to trim the nail. The nails look very natural and she takes her time to ensure the nails have a natural curve. They are taking covid precautions very seriously which I really appreciate. There's plexi glass between the clients and the techs in both the pedicure and manucure stations. As soon as you walk in they welcome you and ask that you wash your hands. Valerie did an amazing job. I thought that it was just good luck but have since learned that everyone at Jolie is amazing. My mother has been frequenting this nail salon for as long as I can remember. She will never see anyone else, and they expect her there every other week. So its funny when I pop in with her. Lots of fun conversation, and very warm and personable. Its a husband and wife team running the place, They love it when you make an appointment, but will take walk-ins. You have to speak up with these people, tell them exactly what you want, and talk to them... they will do it, and listen to your needs and take care of you. Its good and bad... I have never felt so awkward or uncomfortable at a nail salon before. Awful experience. All of the techs were busy when I came in (there were a total of 3) so they pointed me towards an empty pedicure chair and told me to soak my feet in the cold water they provided. They don't even include anything else in the water. I sat there for over 40 minutes while no one acknowledged me. Finally someone came over, barked "where is your color?" She then took my feet out of the water and starting working. Again, not speaking to me. I ended up opting to leave out the manicure because I was just so anxious to get out of there. I have been here regularly for the past 3 years and get my nexgen done by different people every time and i have to say it can be a hit or miss depending on the person but i'm not too picky and give everyone a chance unless you constantly do a bad job. Anyways, my nails have always came out looking great but the experiences are different every time and sometimes i can feel the rushed energy, and have gotten file burns and been lucky to not get infected. I came with my friend and I had an unusual experience but she had a terrible one. Long story short- there isn't polish on my entire nail, I have uneven lengths, rough texture on a few nails and the conversation the man (johnny) engaged me with was awkward and slightly rude. My friend had the owner do her nails which was a painful experience, long and imperfect. I'll start with the worst of it. The woman doing her nails was not gentle at all and caused my friend to "yell out" a few times. The quality of the next gen materials seemed poor because the polish wouldn't set and the women blamed it on the powder. They had to redo some nails multiple times and even in the end it was easier to just stop them from trying that to keep letting them try to fix it. I on the other hand had Johnny who seemed good at first but had awkward conversation with me. I should've been ticked off when he said "don't listen to what other people say, who cares." Welp, people do care especially when it's not positive. He told me he thought I was 16 or 17 years old but when he saw my engagement ring he said oh you're married. When I corrected him and said I'm only engaged his response was "oh well excuse me." Then he talked about his parents pressuring him to have kids and him not wanting them. He later received helped from the owner for two nails he couldn't get right which led to wiping off part of the polish on 2 nails and painting. They should've wiped the entire polish off but didn't and now I've noticed I have rough ridges and uneven surface on those two nails. Avoid this place. I won't be back again. read more

I went about 3 weeks ago and had a pretty great experience. I got gel polish and it's literally the best I've ever had. I've tried multiple places in Frisco that were less than stellar. Usually lifting or peeling on the sides, even chipping within the week. I work with my hands daily, typing and paperwork, even chores and dishes! So excited they STILL look great and have yet to chip or peel. The only downside is I had to wait quite awhile for my turn at the salon. But I know better for next time, I'd definitely call ahead. No nonsense approach to nail salon work - no chit chat - get in, get out, get on with your day... Mom and pop place with what appears to be a bunch of regulars. Basic mani and pedi for $40. Other options offered as well. My nail technician did a fabulous job with cuticle clean, shaping and buff. Could have done a better job with cleaning polish off edges but not a big deal. Decent hand and foot massage but no use of massage chair. I wonder if the chair is not used with a basic pedicure. The only issue is that the nail polish used was old. There was hard, dried polish at the top of the bottle and polish remover was added to the bottle to thin it out. Fingers crossed the polish stays on without early chipping. All and all - efficient, professional, clean and reasonable. read more

I wanted to love this place so bad because it's a walking distance from my house, however had too many bad experiences. First, I met Helen, she is a sweetheart, very nice, kind and sweet, but to some reasons, every time she did my dip, my nails were not lasting a week, she was very apologetic and suggested Lynn to do my nails because she is supposed to be the best with dip. Oh My goodness, Lynn looked so mad the entire time she was doing my nail, she did not talk at all and I was even scared of looking at her stone face. she did my nails good and I thought may be she was tired.
