Found this on Yelp while in Texas visiting my daughter. I love the shop. Very cute and decorated all girlie, lots of pink which I loved. Was greeted kindly. Offered complimentary snacks at their snack & drink bar. Even offered mimosa which at first I declined but then was told they are very good. They were!! Such a great idea putting orange juice in the ice cube and adding the champagne. Love it!! The gal who gave me my pedicure was wonderful!! Everyone who worked at this salon was nice and attentive to their customers. Plenty of parking at least in the weekday afternoon. The bathroom was clean as was the business. The first time I came here, I thought my nails looked great. However, within 10 days my builder gel nails started breaking in half. At my second appointment, another technician told me they likely didn't cure properly because the light used wasn't strong enough, leaving the nails soft. Not only did this cause them to break quickly, but improperly cured gel can also increase the risk of nail infections. They were fixed, but I wasn't offered any compensation for the original service. I also was not very happy with how my second set look but, I chalked it up to maybe they looked weird due to her having to fix three broken nail. At my most recent appointment, my technician was 15 minutes late and seemed rushed once her next client had arrived. I didn't like how my nails looked and another technician had to restart them. I only got builder gel with a French tip, yet the total was $80. My cuticles weren't cleaned and the underside of my nails wasn't addressed. Considering I didn't even get the technician I originally booked with, the price and experience were disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning I always try to give salons the benefit of the doubt but leaving unhappy 3 times is ridiculous. Reply to owner. I appreciate your reply, but it doesn't change the fact that my nail tech was late and seemed rushed at the end because her next client had already arrived. I also tried to say something before the chrome was finished being applied that I wasn't liking how it looked, but she assured me it would look better after the top coat, which it didn't. I understand that the type of French tip I asked for requires more skill and time, but paying $80 and leaving with color on my skin and builder gel overflowing onto the sides of my nails isn't acceptable in my opinion. My biggest concern is that two appointments ago a nail tech didn't fully cure my gel, leaving my nails soft and susceptible to breakage and possible fungal infection. Check your receipt! When I first discovered this place, I loved it and went back for a second time. Only to find out I was overcharged $30. I questioned the pricing as I only got the basic pedicure and the basic manicure. In my head when I did, the math shouldn't have been more than $90 but when I was charged, they rang up $130. When I asked about it, they said that's the correct pricing and as I'm reading the pricing on their menu I just felt disappointed. Will not be going again only because I don't feel comfortable knowing that I will get overcharged if I'm not paying attention. I never write bad reviews but I really wanted to share this to help others and also to hopefully have the salon not let this happen again. I went for a manicure and spa pedicure. I never treat myself to this so I really needed a peaceful experience. This was not that. I had Lena for my nails and while she was lovely, she rushed me the entire time. Rushed me to pick my color. Rushed me to pick my services and tried to push me to upsell my pedicure service. Rushed my massage, basically non existent. Rushed the nail color, was a sloppy job. And cut one of my cuticles in the process so it bled. When I asked to fix the sloppy color job, she cut another cuticle and it bled profusely. So 2 bloody fingers which hurt tremendously. And then she asked if I had diabetes because she cut me. Totally unacceptable to gaslight a customer because you are rushed and cut them up because of it. My pedicure was fine, I didn't get the woman's name. I didn't get the nice massage my sister got for the same service but my toes look nice and no bloody parts. Compared my sister's experience, sitting right next to me, to mine - she had great massages and great people who didn't rush her. She left relaxed and happy and I left not relaxed and bloody. I wanted builder gel and not dip nails. The owner did not try to pressure me or change my mind, and I appreciate her approach. I wanted French tips, and my nail tech, Min, worked hard to get them just right. I will be back here next time! The whole experience was lovely. My family and I had a great time at this nail salon. They were able to accommodate 5 of us on a same day reservation and they even went the extra mile to prepare us some cake and charcuterie! They made us cocktails which were delicious, and offered popcorn and hot cocoa too. As for the nails, 3 of us did Cateye which was executed beautifully. One of us also requested a French style with some nail art which also came out flawless! We were very impressed by the skills of the nail artists. Hana was my manicurist and she was awesome! I went here a week ago (just now having time to review) for the first time. I typically go somewhere else but they were packed so I decided to give this place a try based on reviews. I called before I came and they told me to come right away. On Easter weekend, I was surprised they had availability. I was seated almost immediately which was nice and offered a menu of drinks. They had so many to choose from. I chose their Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious. The place seemed clean and well taken care of. I chose a gel manicure and while these typically don't come with the normal "massage" / there is some type of massage. Unfortunately, as nice as my nail tech was - it felt like a very rushed job, there was paint al over my nails and I didn't notice until I was in my car leaving - it wasn't a clean paint job. Also, she put lotion on my hand and I thought she'd massage a little but nothing. It wasn't the best experience for the first time. So as nice as they were, I won't be back. I really liked this nail shop based on the reviews. I must admit, the customer service is great; however, the last two experiences were a little lackluster. Today, I went in for a Nexgen service with pink in place of the French/white tips and TWO nail designs... 1,2... The lady who started my nails did them once before. She's not bad at all but she takes a long time as a couple of others there. They do a good job, but just plan to be there a while. I literally fell asleep while she was doing them. I didn't ask for an intricate design. Literally pink tips with 3D flowers on TWO nails... it ended up being $87 plus I tipped, which brought it to $105.00. Got the itemized receipt: all sorts of nit-picky charges. I did not ask for "deep French" tips... extra $20... $5 to "shape" my nails the way they already were?!?! I came in with an almond, slightly stiletto nail... I've had this same shape for at least 7 years... $5 extra for "long nails"?! Here's a picture of my "long" nails. Then, Alex, who is very talented and accommodating by the way, finished the design because the young lady who started, Mint, was struggling to bring it to life. Please let the people strong in nail designs do those. Nail veterans like what we like! I arrived at 2:02 pm, did not struggle picking a color because I knew what I wanted BUT, Alex told me "the lady spent 1 hr and 30 mins on my nails. It was no fault of mine she was moving at a snail's pace. I had to pick up my son 30 mins late from school because of this glacial experience. Again, this is a rant because I really like the customer service and they have talented techs but trying to make it seem as if I delayed the lady doing my nails is frustrating. And, that itemized receipt... my goodness! I almost wish I wouldn't have asked for it. And, I ALWAYS tip because it the right thing to do but I should have not. Alex is as good as they come! As someone who has gotten their nails done religiously since my college days, I don't say that lightly. After moving to Dallas I struggled to find someone I liked and trusted to do my nails, but after randomly getting Alex at a previous salon, I knew she was my girl and I'd follow wherever she went. We're 5 years deep now and she's still the best. She shares her opinion but will do what the client wants. She does amazing nail art and is up to date on trends. She never shies away from something challenging or something she hasn't tried before.
