I have been coming to Nails & Lash Room for my Russian Manicure for a few months now. What I love about the Russian Manicure is how natural my nails look yet they are still very "durable." I will say it is pretty pricey, even more so since they went up on their prices, but it's cheaper than some other places that do Russian Manicures. Ellie always does great work and perfects the shapes I'm looking for so at least it's worth it. She is very precise and very sweet as well. Each appointment takes an hour+. The salon itself is extremely clean and the ladies at the front desk are always so nice! I book online, appointments always seem to be booked out a few weeks so be sure to schedule early! They do offer sodas or water but another plus is the salon is right next door to Summer Moon which has amazing coffee if that's your thing! She is very detail oriented, professional and does an amazing job. I have a standing appointment with her every two weeks. I can barely count the number of time I have done a manicure or pedicure and mostly because the places are not well maintained and are not clean. But Nails and Lash room is the only place so far I have found where I saw a white towel truly being white without any blotches or fraying threads.Their tools looked clean and everything is clean and neat. I went around 5pm and was serviced right away. I asked for the charcoal pedicure, which was $50. It's $5 or $10 more than I normally pay but I was eager to try based on photos I had seen online. It looked really nice in the Room, same as the photos I saw online. It gave a very high end nail spa vibe. They barely massaged my legs, maybe two minutes and it said light callus work and that's what they did, barely anything. I could have done better at home. My toes looked good. When the lady was done, she sprayed my feet with the drying spray and told me I could leave. I paid and as soon as I got to my car my big toe hit my pedal and the polish came off. I walked back in to ask her to fix it and she was gone. No wonder she was in a rush for me to leave. The lady at the front told me she would have to call her to come back. I was irritated because why if she asking her to come back to fix one toe when there are two other techs in there that could do it. So I asked can someone else do it and one nail tech said she could. She was just sitting there and not with a customer so this should have been what happened in the first place when my nail tech left. I left here and went to the grocery store. I looked at my feet and ankles and they were ashy. I have never been to a nail salon and this happened. Never will I go back. The work they did was more like a basic pedicure and they charged $50. read more

I love this place! It is pricier than other places I've been to but they are meticulous, super clean, very cute, and the techs are talented. I get Russian manicures which focus alot on your cuticles and are a gel overlay. There are very few places in North Dallas that do Russian manicures and I think they're worth it because I'm normally really rough with my nails. I lift weights, garden daily, and I don't like not being able to do every day things because I'm worried my nails will chip and break. With the gel overlay I have been able to go about my life without worrying. I have not had a single chip or breakage! Highly recommend! read more

UPDATE: the proof is in the pictures. The condition of my nails or how they got that way is completely irrelevant. There is still pink polish that was supposed to be removed and you can clearly see that the filing was not done properly or the shaping nor was any lotion offered or applied. No one expects pampering during a polish change but I do expect the actual polish to be removed. As for your comment on the book I was carrying ... "I simply said I hadn't started reading it yet" but nice attempt to avoid the topic at hand in your response which is the poor service by your tech. I totally get that this place may cater to a different level of clientele than the typical strip mall nail salon. However, they also charge $15 for a polish change vs $5-$10 you may elsewhere. It was absolutely apparent that the nail tech was less than excited to serve my request for such a simple service as a polish change. She failed to completely removing the pink polish, didn't shape and file my nails decently, only put on one coat of clear polish which doesn't even cover my full nail on majority of my fingertips. She didn't apply lotion or offer lotion at the conclusion of my service. This experience certainly doesn't make me want to return for premium services in the future. Attitude is everything in the service industry. I may have only needed a polish change today, but next month I'm vacationing and in the market for a mani/pedi and lashes. Exceptional service is what makes a business thrive. So to the business owner, if your techs don't have an owner mentality in the way they serve your clientele, they are costing you so much more than what you pay them to work for you. read more

I researched places to go for the coveted Russian manicure and pedicure. I was really excited to try it and have it done correctly based on the cost. I came here after reading a yelp review suggesting certain people to try. I booked a manicure for 10a and pedi for noon. I chose the recommended person for the pedicure but had to do the first available staff for the manicure. I booked online. I arrived at 9:55a. I was told that the manicurist was told she didn't have to come in until 11am for staying late the night prior but she would come just 15-20 mins late. Ok. No problem. My day is free because through research I know "Russian" services are 2+ hours. I asked would that be an issue for the pedicure. No. Not at all? Ok. She comes in about 10:25a and appears visibly anxious. I told her it was fine and i had time to get her to relax. The first issue was shape. I requested a short contoured almond. Nothing fancy. The shapes were from long and thin to short and fat...others were leaning off center in an obvious way. I pointed this out and she tried to fix but i think she took too much off so there was no way to "fix" without starting over. So shape was disappointing and inconsistent. During this service the front desk lady came back twice to let us know the pedicure person was waiting and ask how long it would be. I thought this odd because when she asked me to wait because the manicurist was late she assured me the pedicure being late would be no issue. We finished the manicure at 12:32. Now the pedicure.... I was looking more forward to this than my hands for a relaxing experience without the earlier anxiety. It was 3 times worse. She was rushing a lot...hopping from toe to toe so fast it gave me anxiety. I stopped looking at my phone and just watched her because it felt like she would be done at any minute the entire time. I pointed out to her that the corners of my toes looked discolored and not the color of the polish she was now placing less than an hour into the service. She said "it's dust. Do you like the color?" As if i was causing her irritation for asking. I've typed this now as she's finishing up. Done and in my car by 1:55p. Cost: $270 + $54 tip. I was so looking forward to a relaxing luxurious experience trying a new service and was prepared to pay 2 times the cost for just that. I am sadly disappointed. I did all that I could not to sit in my car and cry. My feet are soft but i don't feel I received all that a Russian Mani/Pedi service should've and could've been based on all that I've read and heard it should be. I've been cheating myself all these years getting manicures at other places! It is pricey but you get what you pay for. My technician was meticulous - really focused on making the shape perfect and the cuticle work was very much needed. I feel like I have fresh out of a magazine nails - they are so perfect. I want to add that she didn't start with a clean slate my previous manicure was awful so thick and messy looking - this was a fix job literally got a terrible manicure and immediately booked the fix with nails and lash room. After going to many many other salons I noticed that the bags they used to bring to the service they didn't have the proper of color seal., WHICH MEANS, THEY DID NOT SANITIZE THEM!!! I can't recommend this place enough - I've been coming here for almost a year, have had a few different women do my manicures/pedicures, & they turn out perfect everytime! Yes, the prices are more than your average nail salon; HOWEVER, they last twice as long + the results are better! My manicures are somehow essentially bulletproof (I'm very hard on my nails lol) + last at least 7 weeks (so really ends up being cheaper vs. if you get your nails done biweekly/every 3 weeks elsewhere). My pedicures last so long that I honestly lose count of how long it has been, & my feet have never felt more smooth! The owner Marina threatened me for leaving a one star review on Google and then harassed me by sending me multiple emails asking me to take down my review and saying she would post pictures of my lashes that she took after damaging my lashes. I refuse to take down my review, because I was treated horribly and my lashes are damaged now. The owner never showed any concerns towards me and didn't offered to make it right, nor did I receive an apology. The owner is claiming that my lashes were damaged prior to me having them done here, but thats simply not true because I didn't previously had my lashes done and they were in great condition prior to them damaging my lashes. If they were in poor condition like she claims they were how was her lash tech able to do my lashes? I literally have a patch of missing lashes from this salon and they are trying to hide the fact that they damaged my lashes, and are now looking for excuses to justify what they did but I won't stay silent.
