I stopped into Resort Nail Salon in McKinney and was so impressed! The space is sleek, stylish, and has that modern upscale feel the second you walk in. I was served quickly, everything was spotless, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They did a beautiful job on both my manicure and pedicure -- super precise and polished, exactly what I was hoping for. It's exciting to find a new go-to spot, especially in such a bustling development right next to the new Whole Foods. Even better, it's right beside Kiki's Breakfast Club, which I already love, so it's the perfect spot to make a little self-care day out of it. This is the single best nail experience ever - they really try to get it right every-time and have for me - because the new manager Alex is a kind, attentive and fantastic business man. It is hard to run a customer service business and take care of customer expectations - there will always be someone expecting perfection and not give people a chance to fix it, some are one and done and don't communicate real time with people, but put them on blast immediately. I have always felt welcomed and supported at this nail salon (and I am very picky and my husband being diabetic, they care for his feet perfectly) - but I have walked away feeling satisfied with the quality and stellar service each time. Alex goes above and beyond and works really hard to be creative, has an amazing personality and truly care about customer satisfaction and people period - give this place a chance with an open mind, communicate your needs upfront and experience that you don't want upfront( even if you had a bad one elsewhere) he listens and ensures you walk out happy. In my opinion, the quality is not worth the price. A few hours after getting my nails done, my chrome was already chipping. And a few days later, it looks absolutely terrible, extremely messy, and most of it is coming off. I was also charged a "long nail fee" on top of a nail tip fee and a shaping fee. So in total, 3 fees on top of the nail price and what I was charged for getting chrome. I don't know if we are looking at the same nails or not, but these nails are not long enough to be charged an extra length fee. I asked the front desk lady about this extra fee and she couldn't explain why I was charged extra. Overall, not worth what was paid. The workers are also very pushy with getting the more expensive pedicure, getting gel toe nails instead of regular, etc. This should be a relaxing experience not one where you feel pressured to spend more money. I am unsure if they might be trying to upsell and overcharge because of the 30% off special they have going on right now. Either way, if I were to pay full price for the service I received I would have been extremely upset because my nails would have been $81 for this absolute mess. I wish this business the best but if they want to compete with the amazing salons we already have in McKinney, they need to make some changes. read more

This is easily the worst set I've ever gotten. I feel he should have known what he was doing. I get gel-x all the time elsewhere. I'm someone I like my nails perfect not half ass, rushed. Jackie did fix my nails but I still wouldn't recommend maybe only go to Jackie. I'm used to going to places where everyone is on point with nails. Not you having to find someone good in that nail salon. It was inconvenient coming back to get a new set. I am a mother and work literally almost everyday. Apparently there were also more colors as well for the base since I did French tip. That made me upset because I wasn't shown those colors till the following day by Jackie. I got my toes done to match my hands now my toes and hands are different base colors. Staff is nice though. read more

Amy was very sweet. She took a lot of care and time with my pedicure. I suffer from eczema and have very dry skin. She was so sweet she pointed to vasoline after the entire pedicure and put it on to help with my skin. Appreciate the care and she was always smiling. My feet are not in the greatest. Waited to post to see condition of my nails after 4 wks..Will not be back.. incredibly overpriced... even with the 30% discount for new customer it was still $220+ dollars.. maybe I'm out of touch but $300 for regular nails and pedicure is a bit outrageous in my opinion. Travel regularly, this is not New York! Also, ridiculously hard sell on new "super gel" that completely ate away my beautiful nails! Remained barefoot 5 hours following my pedicure that was to be regular nail polish..still have no idea what they put on my toes! I decided to try this new salon since it's close to home, but I was incredibly disappointed with both the service and management. When I visit a new salon, I usually request a basic manicure as it's a good way to see how they treat EVERY customer, regardless of how much they spend or how extensive their service is. From the start, the atmosphere felt insincere. There was a lot of exaggerated compliments as clients walked in, and the staff pushed for upgrades. Many customers agreed, but when I politely declined and stayed with a basic manicure, I was assigned an unfriendly, unmotivated technician, who spent less than 15-20 minutes on the service. The manicure was not great, she wasn't able to find a basic color I wanted and didn't bother to ask for help and she even discouraged me out of the hot towel wrap. Overall, it wasn't worth the $22 charge, plus tip. I will be going back to my favorite salon for my pedicures and dip nails, even though the drive is twice the distance. read more
