This was the first and last time I will be going to Diamond Nails on Virginia Pkwy in McKinney, TX. I went in for a basic manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was decent but the manicure was horrible! The nail was not filed evenly, the cuticles were not tended to correctly and the clear clear nail polish was on the fingers. When I showed the person at the register the manicure they said they could fix it. I took the time for the fix but as you can see in the attached photos the fix was horrible. All they did was file the nails and as you see the nails are still horrible. They gave me $5 off but now I have to go somewhere else to fix the horrible that was fix and was still horrible! I wanted to give them zero stars but the system wouldn't allow it. read more

I have been coming here for a few months to get pedicures. I recently got one and paid over $60 for it with gel polish. It started falling off within two days. I went back in to get it fixed on day 4 and they told me I would need to know who the person was that did it or I would need to have a receipt with the persons name on it or they would charge me again for the gel. I offered to show them the charge on my account if they did not believe me, but that was not good enough. They told me i could come back in an hour and talk to the manager if i wanted to. If I could give Diamond Nails zero stars I would. It was the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. I felt like I was in a factory. They want to get through as many customers as they can as fast as they can which means nonexistent customer service and poor quality. My husband & I just moved to McKinney and this is the first negative experience that either of us have had here. The price was 25% higher than I paid in Seattle which I found shocking. I see split on this nail salon. Some are great some are NOT. For me, the place was filthy and dirty. There were layers of nail dust all over everything. The place was in shambles overall. The whole time I was there I felt like I was sitting in a dirt pit. If the shop is that dirty then the tools and hygiene overall I put into question. Ann, the owner did my nails they were done great. DO NOT GO HERE under any circumstance very rude and terrible service. the place was dirty, poorly lit, and somber most notably had a very weird smell, specially the primer that they used was so strong it made my eye water and physically sick. I'm pretty sure the product they used where very expired. went here to get a simple nail fill and my they we so rough on my nail and at one point the it felt like my skin was burning. My nails came out uneven and extremely thick, my nails were all different lengths to the the point where my thumb nail was 1/4 of an inch longer the the others. when I ask the nail tex if she could fix it she said there was nothing she could do and flat out refused when I told her I was unhappy with them and still refused to fix her clear mistake and argued/ talked down to me. my nails look so gross by the end, I was so upset I ended up going to a different salon the next day to get the completely redone. read more

The technician doing my pedicure left off several of the additions that I had paid for .... no bath salt added, nothing callus removal even tho I asked, no paraffin wax. The technician changing my nex gen sliced the side of my finger open with the drill. Was any of my price adjusted for the omissions or injury? No. I was told sorry and the provided the price. My daughter and I brought in a simple French tip pic with 2 little hearts, told me they could do it...then told me it would be $80 which is insane for what I was asking for. They ended up telling me $55 (much better and completely reasonable). When they finished my daughter was almost in tears bc of how terrible they turned out. They then tried to charge me $65 not $55 when it was time to leave. they proceeded to argue with me, even after seeing how badly they turned out. They left polish ALL over her nails, the lines are crooked, they didn't paint the sides of the nails, crusty all around. Completely unhappy!!! I've been to the salon before, but this will be my last time ever going again. I went for a simple gel pedicure but then proceeded to ask the women upfront if they were aware of what I C curl nail was. they seem to not understand what I was asking so I showed a picture. They advised to me that they did not have the tip for the nail but they would be able to create a nail design that I want it so I decided to give them A chance. When she finished with acrylic it was nothing like the shape I previously showed. So she tried to fix it but it was again not the nail shape that I was looking for even though they said that they could re-create it not using a tip. The nail could not be came back from so I told her to take the nail off and I would still pay for her time and she then angrily ripped off all of the nails and squeeze my finger so hard with the foil and acetone. I even advise that I will pay her for her time but then when she started to squeeze my finger unnecessary hard I decided that she was not gonna get anything from me I paid for my pedicure and left. I will never return again read more
