Fantastic work on my nails. Honestly thought I found my new salon. UNTIL I CHECKED OUT! Tipped 30% on a $195.00 charge for 3 of us and "Peter" looked at me and said you had five people working on all of you. I said yes I understand. he held the cash in his hand and responded, "5 people worked on all of you ". I asked how much of a tip are you wanting?" He kept staring at me like he was insulted at how much I gave him. I COULD NOT BELIEVE HE HAD THE AUDASISTY TO ASK FOR MORE THAN 30%! HE EXPECTED IT! DO NOT GO HERE under any circumstance very rude and terrible service. the place was dirty, poorly lit, and somber most notably had a very weird smell, specially the primer that they used was so strong it made my eye water and physically sick. I'm pretty sure the product they used where very expired. went here to get a simple nail fill and my they we so rough on my nail and at one point the it felt like my skin was burning. My nails came out uneven and extremely thick, my nails were all different lengths to the the point where my thumb nail was 1/4 of an inch longer the the others. when I ask the nail tex if she could fix it she said there was nothing she could do and flat out refused when I told her I was unhappy with them and still refused to fix her clear mistake and argued/ talked down to me. my nails look so gross by the end, I was so upset I ended up going to a different salon the next day to get the completely redone. read more

We had a HORRIBLE experience at this nail salon. They gave me the wrong nail color and didn't confirm the color, they also left paint on our hands and toes. My mother got dip and they filed most of the color off. We spent $145 dollars on a gel manicure, dip manicure, and 2 classic pedicures. The nail tech saw me looking at the menu and pointed to the most expensive option and said "you need this one." I went along with it as it had been over a month since I had my toes done. He rushed through the whole process. Even exfoliating the bottom of my feet took less than 10 seconds per foot. From start to finish it felt rushed and sloppy. So I paid $65 dollars plus $20 dollars extra for gel for a bad pedicure. I certainly won't be back. read more

I took my niece on Friday for us to have a little pampering day and it was the worst experience ever!!!! I started going there in December 2017 and they have always done the best job (I like taking pics and they have been able to use the pics and design my nails perfectly!) but Friday was the worst! I asked a question and I felt like it got turned into the biggest ordeal and was just embarrassed and didn't even get to relax. It usually takes them an hr maybe a few mins longer but it was over 2 hrs and my poor niece that is 10 had to sit there and wait bored out of her mind due to miscommunication (or language barrier). Now, less than 48hrs later my nail broke this morning while putting on my makeup...seriously!?! Everyone has always been so nice and done an excellent job so I'm not sure what happened Friday maybe they were having an off day... Arrived on a Wednesday at 4pm. Got directed to a chair and immediately started relaxing. My daughter got giddy when she saw the kid's pedi chair and hoped right in. I got the deluxe pedicure and it sure was deluxe! Includes parafin foot treatment and hot stone leg massage and hit towel wrap. Good selection of polish colors. OPI and China Glaze. I would prefer Essi but no big deal. I had all 3 kids with me. The technicians coo'd at the baby and asked my son a couple questions. They didn't mind at all that I brought them in, stroller and all. The pedi was great and even a week later looks like brand new. The total cost for me was $32 and $10 for my daughter who got toes and fingers painted complete with a flower design and little jewel on thumbs and big toes. Will absolutely return! read more

i've been to this place multiple times but today was the last... i showed the lady a picture of what I wanted and she said she could do it.. i could already tell when she started it was going to be challenging so i asked her, should i just get something different & she pleaded she could do it.. once she got to the detailing i was not pleased so i asked her to modify it to look a little better. Once i got into my car, i was not happy with them at all. I called and asked if i can get something different and she said come in and we will look at them. I went in there & the lady who did my nails was like you told me you liked them & you should've told me at the beginning. She repeatedly told me she could do it. So they wanted me to pay 50 more dollars to get them redone.. never going back here. so upsetting. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! My daughters and I went and my nails were terrible. Supposed to be ombré chrome but still gummy feeling a week later. Had to file them myself too. One of my daughter had 4 nexgen nails (no tips added) pop off within 3 days. Another of my daughter's had a horrible experience & has inflamed and cut up cuticles and her nails had to be completely redone by the owner. They also waxed her eyebrows when the appointment was for tinting and she kept trying to tell them. We were charged fully for all services. No discount given for the terrible work. The first time I came in I was in a hurry. They greeted me and got me in a chair with a color picked out and wine in hand I was good to go. They were nice helpful and my gel Polish stayed on for a good amount of time. I got many compliments on it. Second go around was not as wonderful. The service was okay. Had to ask for wine this time and the lady was rushing on my nails. The next two days the gel polish starts to come off of all my nails. I noticed it felt thin. Third time I come in I'm the only person there. I tell the lady I want white finger nails and toe nails. After it takes her 15 minutes to set up she starts my nails. No wine. Didn't even feel like asking. When they are done I notice my toes are a yellow off white color and my finger nails are a light blue shade. I've sense gone back about 6 times and have had really great experiences. All the people who work there know how I like my nails, wine and they are very friendly. Besides the service the product they offer is nice. They have great powder nails and a large range of colors. I brought a friend here and she absolutely loved the power nails. Love My Nails!!!!!!! Been searching for a nail salon that do designs and finally found one. Coworker recommended her guy, Vu. Said he is "da bomb". She was right!!!! I've been there twice and have been very happy both times. I'll definitely keep going back. Vu does great designs and is extremely creative. I am currently shopping for a nails for my wedding day in March and I can promise you that my 5 friends and myself planning to do manis, pedis, waxing etc are NOT coming here. I got my nails done one week ago by a lady that did not say one word to me other than saying coffin nails are extra, long nails are extra.. EVERYTHING IS EXTRA! The website says acrylic nails are $25? Right? LIE! I got white acrylic short Coffin nails and walked out with a $37 total without tip. Walking out of the salon I was livid because she did not paint all of my nails fully, my nails are all different shapes and sizes And a week later my nails look horrible. Not to mention that when done with painting the color she said "wait and ill be back to do a top coat." She did not come back. She moved to the next customer and had another guy do a top coat on me. HE DID NOT EVEN LIKE HOW MY NAILS LOOKED!!!! This is my nails one week later. And this is what I wanted It should have been a $30 total because $25 for the nails and $5 for coffin shape. So where did the extra $7 come from? She did not even do what I asked! I am so upset because this place had high reviews and my nails are currently yellow now. read more

Ok...I'm a fan but it's hit and miss. They have a few new nail techs that can barely paint polish well. I understand people need on the job training but when I'm paying $35, I'd like that on the job training to not show on my nails. With that said, they have a good number of really good talents here as well. The pedicure selections are the best I've experienced in this area. (I'm in McKinney a lot.) The salon is clean and they are big on sanitation. The customer service from the owners are OK. The customer service from the nail techs are top notch. read more

If I could give less then 1 star I would. The people who work there are rude and impersonal. The guy who did my pedicure said 2 things to me. Which pedicure you want and in a chastising voice telling me not to move my toe when he was putting my flip flop on. When he was done he got up, walked away without a word and that's the last I saw of him. Then there's my daughter. She got a pedicure as well and the guy didn't give her the time of day. She also got her gel mani. It was the worst polish job I've ever seen. She asked one employee if she could have the woman who did her nails to fix it. She never came back. She then asked another employee if she could get some nail polish remover. He stood there like he didn't know what to do. He asked who did her nails, she said she didn't know her name. He asked 3 times before he finally said something to someone and finally the woman who did her nails came over. The problem was is she left some of the old gel on her cuticles and it looked just horrible. Very sloppy and amateurish. This woman had the nerve to tell my daughter it's to hard to get gel off the skin. It was seriously the most unprofessional, rudest nail salon I've ever been to. DO NOT GO HERE! I have been going there for 4 years once a month if not more and the past few times I have gone have just been horrible. Specially asking to get your nails cut short (just alittle bit longer than your actual nail) they will say no and that they don't wanna cut them and they don't wanna work on short nails or they'll refuse a shape because they don't think it looks good. Today when I got them done was the last straw, Peter was the worst nail tech! He started by putting tips on my fingers that were way too big, when he asked how long I wanted them I hold him mid length and showed him where. He barely snipped off any nail and started hacking at the others until I had to stop him again to ask for them shorter which he again barely cut any off and then once more. They seemed fine ( could barely see my hand cause of the way he had them bent which wasn't comfortable but I didn't notice the length until he went to dip my nail and it wouldn't go all the way in and he slammed the nail into the bottom of the powder which also hurts. Once the powder was on my nails I just didn't have time to have them start over. Then he started flicking, not tapping but flicking my fingers to shake off the powder. He pulled out the Dremel and turned it on to such a fast rate that the moment it touched my nail it felt like someone shoved a hot poker in my finger. Also to mention he had a really nasty infected looking sore on his finger but still didn't wear gloves. He tore up my fingers with the Dremel, my skin is red and looks like someone took a weedwacker to them. Once he got to the stage of the buffer pad he was buffing them so hard the table was shaking and it was burning the sounding skin on my fingers. He was bending my fingers in such uncomfortable positions it felt like the nail was going to fly straight off. He never apologized for breaking my skin or hurting me. Just to charge me $50 for what I normally pay $40 for! I'll insert how my nails usually look and what I ask for VS what I got today. I hate being the bad guy and hate confrontation but this was ridiculous, my next step is the health department and the better business bureau! The pink set and the white set are beautiful and what I normally always receive, the black and red set are what I got and how they ended up when I clipped them myself and filed them self at home. read more

This is the worst nail shop ever! The only one where my big right toe swelled probably from an infection. They are overpriced for less quality work. When I showed the manager my toe which was swollen for 1.5 weeks, she stated I hit my toe and needed go see my doctor. How ridiculous!! Her resolution was to remove the nail polish and reapply; she absolutely had no remorse. This nail place lacks empathy and customer service. I will never return. My daughter had an appointment for an eyebrow wax with Lyn. When she got there another woman told her "Lyn is too busy I will do it". She repeated told her don't make them thin don't do an arch - and what did she do exactly what she wasn't supposed to do!! Tried this place on several occasions since I lived around the corner, the location was great. Had nails done the first time & they looked nice. It was a bit pricier than other nail salons. My next visit was a bit disappointing because my male nail tech seemed ill & couldn't quit coughing. My nails were uneven & the application on powder nails didn't seem to last more than a week (this was about a year ago). Over a spring weekend this year my girls were bored so I decided to try again because they had openings for all of us. Well I have specific instructions about my 8yo daughter & her friend to the nail tech. Given my back was to them as I got my nails done. To make a long story short, I got charged almost $200 for all 3 of us. Apparently the children's "pedicure" allows add ons (nail art, stone massage, & a manicure!) by children no matter what the parent instructed the nail tech. VERY disappointed & will never return! read more

It's so hard to find a good nail place these days because there's one on every corner. I have a problem of getting consistent service from them. One visit is fantastic and then the next is terrible. I will say that my pedicures are usually good, but it's the manicure that I really hate. All that I want is for them to clip my nails as short as possible, file them round and then buff them. I always end up with dry and split cuticles in a day. The buff is dull and I felt like why did I even bother with getting a manicure. I guess the problem is that I get a different person each visit and really can't remember who did my nails the time before. They don't have name tags or business cards so that I can request them again. read more

Best salon in McKinney!!! For all the people complaining about not "getting a drink"? It's not a bar, not everyone drinks and some people get offended if you ask if they want alcohol. For the people complaining that they were "rushed" , did you have an appointment or just walk in. If you were a walk in, beggars can't be picky as they were probably fitting you in between actual appointments. This place is always busy and if you are that picky about your nails(which I am) you would have a specific person you go to all the time, and wait if they are busy or out of town or even better you can make an appointment(most days they can get you in the same day if you call ahead). Or you would say something at the time. Why didn't you say something before you left if you didn't like the nail job, you could have asked for someone to fix the issue(although it does look like you picked at the polish to make it look bad) How do we know you got it done there and that you just don't work for another salon? Walk ins usually get the newbies, that's just the pecking order.. I have followed Dana and her family from their previous salon and I am always happy (for years) with their work(when you find a good person, you stick with them, not look for the discount of the week), they fit you in if you need a fix and treat you like family. You get what you pay for. You want cheap, you get cheap. You want quality, you pay for it. They are a business, open to the public, not just waiting for you. If you had such horrible experiences,don't go back, plain and simple. They are always cleaning, but it's kind of hard to clean and mop when people are in the salon and they don't get a break in between clients( they do clean the pedicure chairs and sterilize everything before the next person sits down) . You try working 7 days a week from 9am-9pm(sometimes earlier and sometimes later) with no break, no lunch on most days. That is how busy they are. They are very sanitary and always cleaning, if there is an issue, tell them and they will fix it plain and simple. I gave Diamond Nails three tries at doing NextGen on my nails before I decided I would need to try someplace else. Every single time, regardless of who did my nails, they were subpar. The salon is clean and the workers are nice, but that is not enough of a reason to go back if the nails don't hold up. One time, after having my nails done, I asked for an eyebrow wax. The woman did not completely wax/shape up the area on the underside of my brows and never offered me a mirror to double-check the work. She also did not clean the wax off when we were done.
