Vivi and her associates are always so nice so it truly pains me to leave this review... my sister and I went here to get our nails done for vacation and sadly we're going to have to get them done AGAIN bc the work was unfortunately non satisfactory.. I will attach pictures below... my advice is they need to pay better attention and also arguing with your associates during work hours is not okay... very very disappointed; I love each of their personalities and they're so incredibly nice but I work hard for my money too and it was a complete waste of time and $200 between my sister and I.. This was my first visit to Virginia Nails. I recently moved to the McKinney area and have been looking for a place to get my nails done on a regular basis. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The experience I had was that amazing! Vivi & her daughter Amy took really good care of me and saw me as an actual human and not just a number to get me in and out. The water scalded my legs and the salt scrubbing hurt! The French manicure was horrible. I could have done a better job on my own nails. I do not recommend this salon. read more

I've been having a little trouble finding a nail salon in the McKinney/Allen Tx area and I just so happened to run across this location via yelp. I think I have finally finished going through trial and error with other nail salons as I am very satisfied with the prices, work, and location of this salon. Rachel did an amazing job on my nexgen nails and wax service. I'm very indecisive so I did ask Rachel for her advice on color/shape and she was open to helping me make that choice. The owner VeVe was very sweet and welcoming. Both of them have very good personalities and make you feel comfortable during your service. I highly recommend this salon. read more

I'm really sad I just found this place! I've been driving all the way to West Plano and paying more $$$. I came on a pretty busy Saturday morning. Luckily I beat the rush and was sat immediately. I usually do acrylics and they have some really fun and bright colors. They have tons of sparkly colors as well. Regular nail polish seemed decent since I saw lots of OPI and China Glaze. Ben did my nails and he is amazing. He is an absolute perfectionist. He notices things before I did. As long as you're vocal he'll do whatever you say without hesitation. I think I spent about 2 hours in there just for my nails. That's a little longer than what I'm used to but if it's for quality work then it's worth it! Prices are really reasonable. I paid $33 for my refill and even with adding a $10 tip it's still cheaper than going my previous salon in West Plano. I will come back for sure! Even though I plan to move to Plano at the end of the year... it will still be worth driving back down here. read more

I stumbled upon this nail salon because my car broke down outside of Happy Donuts next door in the morning. When I came back to try to fix it during my lunch, the manager of Virginia Nails helped me diagnose my battery issue, and when I tracked down the part I needed (after many back-and-forth trips that the manager always stepped outside for), he even installed it for me (he had a toolbox and everything). I was so thankful for his help, so I wanted to return the favor by coming back to get my nails done. Now for my nails! It was such a nice and relaxing experience. Despite multiple clients getting their nails done, too, it was quiet and I was able to truly relax. My pedicure massage was incredible, and my two-week-old NexGen manicure still looks fresh. I highly recommend Virginia Nails for their impeccable services and kind people who are willing to help strangers at the drop of a hat. read more

Eh. Not terrible but not great. My nails were left looking kind of a mess. Once I wash my hands a few times I'm sure it'll be fine but I'm used to getting cleaned up after a dip manicure which leaves the powder stuck on your finger tips. I also got a basic pedicure which was $25 and they were going to charge me $20 extra for a gel pedi. I stuck with the regular polish because I thought this was steep. My toes wound up unevenly polished and just not what I wanted. There's even a knick in my big toe that she tried to fix but it's still there. I just wanted to get out of there quickly. The staff was very friendly, I'll add! More talkative than most nail places I go to, which is nice. All in all, not terrible, but I think I'll stick to some of my other regular places. read more

If you try to say what you want and go against her words, she goes insane and starts getting very angry at you. I had a very unpleasant experience here this past Sunday September 1st. Some friends and I came in to get our nails done , all I wanted was a nexgen removal because my nails had become super fragile after getting them consistently for a while . I wait at least 40 mins to get my nails done (honestly I thought they forgot) and when the lady calls me over she very visibly didn't want to do my nails and had absolutely NO customer service. I try to explain to her that my nails were fragile and to please not drill them too much because it will hurt . She then proceeds to look at me with a blank stare and drills my nails . Each time I tell her it hurts she looks at me with that same blank rude stare. It was my second and LAST time ever using their services . I've been searching for a decent nail salon for YEARS and thought I'd found the perfect spot last year when Ben perfected my Nexgen. The next time I needed my nails done I called and made an appointment with Ben, but he put me off on someone else when I got there saying he had somewhere to go. Trying to be understanding, I let another young lady do my nails and they were okay, but I was charged $10 extra dollars for a glittered nail and told that was a design. Hmmmmm okay...so I haven't visited in a while and thought I'd give it 1 more try yesterday, which proves to be another mistake. I got NO design, but different colored nails and that was also an upgrade which I was not told until the very end when Ben kept asking how I wanted to pay and demanded payment while I was in the middle of getting my nails done.
