Hanna is the usual girl who attends to my wife. We were new in the city and my wife is trying to find the best person who would service her nails. In the first few sessions, all the color choices were my wife's choices and the last one (the white) was a suggestion from Hanna. My wife was really happy with the color, it is by far the best choice. She just doesn't like the color of pink with glitters, it's too light and when Hanna did her nails, it didn't really fill everything around her nails. But all the rest of the works she did, were ok. The only thing that they don't get to understand is the length of my wife's nails. Hanna always shave it too short for my wife, which she didn't like. Even if my wife says that she want a part of her nails cut short, it becomes really short. I think this is the 4th time my wife did her nails with her. She is charged $30 for a little bit of length for her nails as next generation or dip. But when her nails a bit longer, she was told they will charge her oft $35 already. So she isn't happy with that knowing she can't have her nail length right. My wife is trying to keep her nails long but each time she does her nails there, she comes out with a shorter one. She is unhappy with the result each visit. Until she decided to stop coming back. read more

First off I want to say I've been a customer for over 10 years! Yes 10! I've been to other places just to see what's out there But I always come back! Lily does an Awesome job on my nails & toes! I really appreciate her attentiveness to my nails as I can be picky at times! Her fun & outgoing personality & Great work keep me coming back time & time again! My 7 year old daughter and I walked in at 5:10pm- this salon closes at 7:30pm. We asked for pedicures and we were told to pick out our color. Right when we got our colors picked the girl comes up and says "oh I'm sorry we don't have time today" we had been in this nail salon for 10mins total. They were not busy and had plenty of open chairs. They had a little over 2hrs left to be open. If they didn't have time they should have told us when we walked in the door! This was very bad customer service and we won't be back to this nail salon. read more

Let me start by saying this review does not reflect the techs at all. They are all wonderful and the sweetest. Especially B! My mom is a regular there and always requests for her. The review is about the new manager and his "customer service" he gave us today. They are under new management and because of this new manager, Instyle just lost two customers today. My mom invited me to a pedicure today. I had my son with me, who happens to be almost 9 months old, but he did terrific while we were there. My pedicure finished before my mom so my son and I had to wait. No big deal. I had my son sitting on a pillow covered by a towel on my lap. Well he had a blow out. He's a baby. These things happen. It got on him, me and the towel. I had to wait for my mom anyway, so I scooped my son up in the towel and went to go change him in my car. The owner was sitting at the front desk glaring at me as I was walking out so I stopped and told him I would pay when I got back and that I needed to change my son. I literally had left everything with my mom. My phone, my wallet, my stroller, everything but the diaper bag. Well by the time I had finished cleaning my son up, my mom came out with everything. Of course she had to pay for me. The manager wouldn't let her leave the building until she did. But when she was paying, the manager was upset I walked out with a towel gave my mom a hard time and charged her $2 for the damn towel!!! My mom offered to wash it and bring it back (knowing it would not be accepted back) to which he replied "that is gross! I have to watch for the health of my customers." My mom told him to shut his mouth before he lost a loyal customer. He then didn't say anything else. Here's what really infuriates me. If he's so concerned about the health of his customer, when we got there and they sat us for our pedicures, there was still the drink and trash from the person before in my mom's seat. So that means they did not clean the tub or chair in between customers. Also THEY HAVE A DOG IN THE BUILDING. They owners have a French bulldog they keep in the back of the building. They brought it to the the front of the building off leash to let it go potty outside. You want to talk about unsanitary?! What if the customers are allergic to dogs?! Pretty sure the health department would not like to hear about that. Second of all, the owner obviously does not have children or he would understand that babies poop and these things happen. It was not like we planned it and there was absolutely no reason to be so rude about it! Had my shirt been soiled, I would have gone back in there and he would have heard a mouth full from me. So because of his rudeness, he lost two loyal customers. (We're sorry B! We still love you!) Since the new management change, everything is about money. The poor ladies now have to push and try to up sell you when they never had to before. They don't communicate with the techs when they have appointments. They are just there for the money!! read more

I've been getting my manicure on lately... NextGen. I'm not one to get my nails done. I would always just do them myself. That being said, I started getting them done with my girlfriend because she said I'd love them, and I do. Tomy is my guy when it comes to my fingernails. He listens to me and cuts my nails the right length (my nails grow way too fast, and I type a ton... So it's nice to have someone cut them and shape them the length that I want). Definitely suggest having him do your manicure. I also get pedicures here. They're delightful as well. Chill with a glass of wine and just relax. They also have a ton of colors to choose from which is a plus. PS... Love that they have glow in the dark NextGen colors. read more

Decided to drop by to get a pedicure and I should have known when the guy was too gentle removing the dead skin + calluses from my soles that I wouldn't be happy with the end result. My soles still have so much dead skin, I'm gonna have to just finish the job at home. The leg scrub + massage was nice, nail polish was messy. Gave this place a chance, but won't be back read more

A couple of things... the staff were not wearing masks when I walked in and did not use gloves other than doing my pedicure. When I asked about it they said if they know the customer then they don't clean... they didn't know me so not sure why they said that... Then I asked for a triangle paint style on my nail from the guy there. As you can see in the photo the design direction was clearly not executed. First he tried to accomplish this with dip but of course it came out uneven because you can't control powder in lines. Then he tried to correct with paint and it still came out uneven on most nails like this one. On top of this he turned the UV light up way too high and burned my nails. I'm sure it killed my natural nails underneath the dip. When I went to pay he tried to charge me extra for the additional paint he had to use to correct his mistake. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before. I've been coming here every 3 weeks for about 3 years to get NextGen (dip) nails done. It is $35, they have TONS of colors (they have new ones almost every time I go!) and the nails easily last three weeks. Susan, Lily and JoAnn are my favorites, but most everyone does a good job. Every other visit, I'll get a pedicure as well. The Deluxe is $27 (I think) and includes callus removal, paraffin wax, hot towels, a massage, the whole thing. Plus, they got new chairs a few months ago and they are so comfortable. I refuse to go anywhere else. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

I love coming here. They are so nice to my sons. If I want to get a pedi I have to bring my sons with me. They sit at the front and play on their iPads, but they are in the nail salon while people are trying to relax, so I always feel bad. The women that own the salon are alway so nice to my sons. The deluxe pedi is always so relaxing and feels so refreshing after a long day at work. I do not have one bad thing to say about them. read more

Great nail shop! Was super impressed with the staff and how well they treat their customers. They took time with my pedicure and even asked if I wanted anything special painted on my toes. For context, I've been getting pedicures and various forms of nail treatments for the last (gulp!) 30 years. I've been going to this salon for about a year after moving to the area from out of state. The staff are professional, friendly, offer helpful style and color recommendations, and do a fantastic job. I'm offered a beverage and provided a clean and comfortable spa chair for my experience. I have zero reason to try out another salon for my nail needs. As for scheduling and wait times, I expect that occasionally, I'll have to await a chair during busy times (I do make appointments); however, only once was I not invited to be seated in an open chair immediately. I've seen walk-ins accommodated as well. And finally, their overhead audio sound- track has the best mix of 70s, 80s, and 90's music, that I've heard customers singing along with abandon! InStyle Nails meets all my expectations and I highly recommend. read more

This place is a hidden gem in the outskirts of McKinney! I live in uptown Dallas but I come all the way out here to get my nails done. Every lady there will do an excellent job for you! I don't take very good care of my hands, so a typical manicure for me only stays pretty for about a day or two. But when I get my nails done at Instyle, it stays put for a WEEK-no chips or peeling. My pedicure stays perfect for AT LEAST 2 weeks. They also all do an excellent job cleaning up cuticles, which is mainly what I go for. In my experience it's hard to find a nail salon that will take the time to do a really good job at that, but these ladies do. I've gotten my nails done at the Crescent spa, and the ladies at Instyle do nails just as well for half the price! read more

I came to this place a couple of months ago and my experience with this place did not match these raving reviews at all... I felt like I was being tortured for government secrets rather than getting a pedicure. Going into this pedicure my toes were fine, they don't need a lot of attention during pedicures. The reason I even get pedicures at all is for my heels and the polish. But the lady I had at this place must have felt that I had buried treasure hidden inside the flesh around my toenails because I've never had anyone dig so much into my toes before. I was grimacing through the majority of my pedicure and my toes hurt and were raw after the pedicure. I also have never seen polish chip and flake off of toenails after a couple days...typically polish on toenails can last until the end of time, or at the very least 72 hours... But this polish was so cheap and/or watered down it was flaking off by day 2. Needless to say, I won't be coming back and have since found a different wonderful nail salon on the other end of Lake Forest. read more

Looked to fellow Yelpers in the area and was not disappointed!! A new usual place for me! Lily was happy and enthusiastic for being 20 minutes before the posted open time. She was super helpful and easy to get along with/talk to/understand. The prices (for waxing, anyway) were lower than most other places and the environment was nice and clean yet still inviting. You get to go back into a private room and lay down for the wax, unlike some places that make you sit in a chair where everyone can watch. Embarassing! I will be back for sure! read more

I came here with my mother in law, sister in law, her daughter, and my 7 yr old daughter. My mother in law called ahead to see if they would be able to reserve a time for all 4 of us to get a pedi done at the same time. She was told yes. When we got there, we had to wait a bit, then I went, then my daughter, and then the other 3 got started. I found the ladies, except 1, to be rude. They didn't smile, they didn't look happy, and one lady even commented to a customer (who seemed to be a regular) how annoyed she was that she has to redo the nails every time the lady comes in. The way the nail tech went on about it and her tone of voice sure didn't seem like a joke to me and the customer wasn't laughing, either. They also talked to each other in their language the entire time. When they look at you and then start talking or make their looks to each other after looking at you and start talking, sure doesn't make a customer feel comfortable. I was not offered any drinks, but I did see a different nail tech (the sole one that wasn't rude) offer beverages to someone. I found the nail service to be just ok. The lady didn't get all rough edges of my feet completely gone. I go to Nail Expo and love it there, but came here b/c my mother in law picked this place to try (when she was visiting), as Nail Expo couldn't get us all in. After my experience there (even my inlaws agreed the women were rude), I will continue to go where I've been going and avoid this place. read more
