Unfortunately, May gouged my finger while trimming a cuticle, drawing blood (see photo). She did not tend to it & shortly after left without a word to work with another client. Because my nails still had a lot of gel residue, Belle finished up my mani, applying a medical cream to the wounded finger. Total to remove gel on all nails and basic mani/pedi (buff shine on fingers, regular polish on toes) was $75. It's good pricing and seems on a par with other salons, if not less expensive. I didn't think to request a discount for the damage to my cuticle, and it wasn't offered. A mixed experience overall.

I had never been to a nail salon that played jazz, but it was so great and only added to the whole experience. Annie and her mom recently took over this business and are extremely honest and kind. While I was there, a new customer left his wallet behind. The owner (Annie's mom) actually ran after the guy, but she was too late. Whether intentional or not, it made me feel insecure, unwelcome, and judged. Additionally, I was denied a drink at 6:15 PM because "the manager had left" despite the salon being open with several lounging employees. Then there was the manicure. At first I thought "maybe she's going to clean it up?" But when she started packing up and left, I realized she was actually leaving my fingers like this. This was not done to a professional standard, the cuticle care was rushed and poorly executed and the polish was streaky and uneven. The woman who worked on my feet attempted to fix my fingernails but it quickly became clear it couldn't be corrected without starting over- which wasn't possible given it was 15 minutes to closing and I had my birthday dinner reservations. Feeling drained and just done with the whole experience, I asked her to remove the polish and I documented the process to show that I gave the salon the opportunity to make it right. There was no offer for me to come back another day to have it redone, and I left feeling significantly worse than when I arrived.
