Expensive for simple mani pedi service ($75). Technicians are not skillful nor artistic, they don't know how to file and shape my nails nicely, I had to file myself to my wanting. Technicians don't know how to design flowers on nails either and just rely on stickers. Massage is very quick and whatever so I didn't get to enjoy it. First visit and last for me. read more

Returned to my favorite nail salon after re-opening with the COVID-19 quarantine!! They are definitely practicing safety precautions with social distancing, hand sanitizer, & wearing masks!! Rosy always takes great care of me with a deluxe pedicure & manicure, hot wax & hot stones & massage!! And waxing my eyebrows!! The location received great reviews so I thought that I would try them out. The shop is conveniently located. Upon entry I was pleasantly greeted and asked what service needs I was needing. I relayed that we wanted manicures and pedicures. We were immediately seated and asked what kinds of manicures and pedicures we wanted. I relayed that we wanted the classic manicure and spa pedicure. We were offered drinks. I first received my manicure session and midway through someone else started my pedicure session. Sitting in the he massage chair and receiving both sessions was quite relaxing and was just what I was looking for since I wanted to treat myself for my bday They took their time and I feel that I received my money's worth for the sessions. All that assisted us were professional and friendly and did an excellent job on my and my daughter's manicures and pedicures. The location was clean, quiet, and had lots of nail polish options. A few people came into the location while we were there but it was not overly busy. I plan on visiting the location again due to the excellent service as well as the price..$20 for a manicure and $30 for a pedicure. read more

Yea this place is not for me try Legacy Nails & Spa instead!! I've given this place 4 tries hoping for a lucky day to have the perfect service but still not there. The first time I came, the nexgen nails (powder nail and tip) were cute and loved them, but they were thin and broke within a week or so. Came again for the third time for the nexgen nails and they were very sloppy done by the guy who does them on weekday afternoons. Fourth and last time I came giving it just another try but the nexgen nail tech is still not good (it's the same person) nail shape is horrible. Some nails are bulky and shaved down unevenly after choosing the most basic square look. The worst part is he leaves the glue all over ... very upsetting. See images so you can reference to. The glue eventually came off, but not because they did it as part of the service, I had to ask for them to clean it. The pedicure options are fine. They hardly clean the nails, basically just cut down and massage type of service, FYI. Don't ever think I'm coming back because it's not even a "cheaper" option, same price as other ones. It's a nice nail shop and the staff is nice but the quality is just not there. Same price as a better nail bar. read more

I had free time while my dog was getting groomed and I called this place and got an appointment in right away! Full set gel nails is $30. The guy that did my nails (forgot his name) was super nice and very attentive! He was so detailed and did very well on my nails, I was impressed! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and when it wasn't the way I wanted, he did not hesitate to redo it. He did not seem annoyed at all either. I've been to many nail salons that charge a lot more but I really enjoyed getting my nails done here! It lasted for 3-4 weeks without ANY chips!! Awesome value. read more

Probably one of the poorest nail sets I've ever gotten. I feel bad about writing this review because the techs were so friendly. First off, my cuticles on two fingers were cut and they were stinging every time I had polish applied. I asked for coffin nail shape and I got fat rectangles. I got nexgen dip set and my nails are extremely thick and feel "blocky". I have very small, dainty fingers, so it looks awful. The fake tip was also glued on crookedly. Overall, it looks poorly done. Rhinestones I had added were glued unevenly and two of them fell off 30 minutes after I left the salon. The nexgen set is $27. I pay $60 at my main salon and the money is so much more worth it. You get what you pay for. I won't be returning even though it's cheaper. Would give one star, but the extra star is for how friendly they were. read more

I've been here 3 to 4 times, and the last visit was in preparation for my engagement shoot. I normally neglect my hands, and for $12 or $15 (can't remember), they gave me an extensive manicure. The staff are always kind, and although my nails began to chip in about a week, I'd say it's to be expected considering I only asked for a simple polish and also due to my lack of hand care. Many of my friends go here as well, and they always have great things to say for the staff and their skill. read more

After a full day of appointments, I decided to give this nail salon a try for a gel pedicure and dip nails. What a fantastic decision! I called to see if they could squeeze me in. Andy and Jessie, the owners, were so friendly and accommodating. Jessie did my nails while Helen did my pedicure. My nails and tootsies look fabulous, and I was so relaxed that I dozed off a number of times. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't be sorry! read more

The people who work here are very kind and do a wonderful job - with lots of attention to detail. I loved the vibes in this salon, especially the calming music. Prior to coming in, I had broken a nail, and the nail tech at Malibu Nails was extra cautious and careful as to not make the injury worse. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the color selection is slightly lacking. Otherwise though, a lovely place! read more

This nail salon was very clean and a good atmosphere. I'd say I got an average gel manicure. My nails aren't the same shape and the polish did not cover my whole nail. By the time I am writing this review, I got my nails done almost a week ago and the polish on the nail tips are chipping. I might go again to try a different type of polish since their service was very nice. I'd recommend if you are looking for a nail place with slightly lower prices than other places in the area. read more

My pleasant experience was cut short due a violent outburst from a flamboyantly dissatisfied customer. Her rude behavior was almost confrontational, I was genuinely concerned for the well-being of the owner and fellows employees working at that time. She was incredibly difficult during her time of her service and at point was ASKED to leave, by that time she had received half an hour worth of services and did not pay for them. Everyone working at the salon were kind and helpful to every customer that entered while I was getting my nails done. And even after she'd harassed the owner , he was still as kind and helpful as ever!!! Great job Malibu Nails, super clean environment and amazing customer service!!! One of the worst pedicures i have gotten. The lady was not even trying. No effort at all. It seems like she thought i did not know what a real pedicure was so she half assed every step there is. Definitely never going here at least not the lady I had. I didn't get her name but it was an older woman and wears glasses. Horrible that I had to waste money on this. Smh. read more

I have been going here consistently for around 5 years and I'm definitely a fan of Malibu nails! Service: The service is good! I learned my lesson to make appointments on Saturdays and Friday after-work hours when there is a rush of people wanting to relax. So if you make an appointment, you are safe and will wait for less than 10 minutes. They are super nice as well and like to talk to you if you want to talk. They always have a smile on their faces :) Pedicures: This is the primary reason why I go to Malibu Nails. I go here about once every other month and get the spa pedicure. The colors they provide are awesome. You won't find any color lacking. Also, management has changed the past year and I can say that this place has improved! The spa pedicure involves way more services and is more relaxing. They apply a lime to your toe nails, provide you a complimentary water bottle, and massage your legs for a longer period. They massage it longer because they wear gloves while taking care of your feet. You could tell that they are more attentive to sanitation techniques too! Manicures: I only got a manicure here about twice. One was acrylics for prom and the other was gel polish for fun. The man who was working on my hands told me not to come again to get gel or acrylics right after they fall off. He said he was watching out for the health of my nails hahah! so nice! Usually nail salons tell you to keep coming and coming after getting gel or acrylics just for the money/business. However, Malibu nails cares for your nail health and gives you valuable advice on how to take care of your nails after the nails fall off:) Waxing: They are super nice and quick, however the only reason why I don't go here for waxing is because of the high prices. Overall, I will keep going to Malibu Nails. Super nice service and good results for pedicures and manicures!! read more

On the northeast corner of Hedgecoxe and Ohio in a little strip mall. For $37 I got the deluxe pedicure which included mud, sugar scrub, paraffin, hot stones, and lotion massage. I wish the little girl doing me had stronger hands but oh well. I did have to have her go back and fix a few nails to even the polish up and clean up the edges. It was a little too warm for me when I came in so the turned a fan on me and turned the AC down. Which was a huge help as I get hot, quick! read more

It's a good nail salon, with really good prices. The only downside is how hot or miss it is. Sometimes the nails come out exactly how I want them, and sometimes there's small imperfections that my OCD self cannot handle. I wouldn't recommend coming here for anything fancy, or intricate deigns. But would definitely recommend for everyday nails/ basics such as a solid color!! read more

Went to Malibu nails to get a new nexgen set. This was my second time coming here. First time was a great experience but second time not so great! The lady who did my nails made me bleed twice! & on top of that I said square shape and honestly look like she was trying to do coffin shape. Will not be returning here! I'll stick to going to M Spa nails even if they charge $25 more than here at least they're really good at doing nexgen nails or nails in general. read more

Such a great job!! I came here after reading the reviews on Yelp, and I can honestly say they exceeded expectations. I got the Nexgen nails with tips, and it was only $35! I could give 5 stars for the price alone. Andy did my nails, he was super friendly and kind, and really took the time to make them look perfect. When one got a little messed up he even took the time to put on more polish and rebuff it. Andy also mentioned if one breaks they will fix it for free, which is a plus. I definitely recommend this place, especially if you're on a budget like me. read more

Honey was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to educate me about my nails and explain the different services they offer, which I genuinely appreciated. My technician, Tia, started my appointment right on time. She was quiet but checked in with me to make sure she understood what I wanted. While the service itself wasn't bad, there wasn't anything that stood out. At other salons I've visited, the experience typically ends with small finishing touches--like applying lotion or a brief hand massage--but this service felt very basic. I still tipped Tia 20% because Honey worked me into the schedule during what would have been Tia's break, and I appreciated that accommodation. Unfortunately, once I got home and removed my contacts so I could see my nails more clearly, I noticed several details that became more apparent over the next few days. It appeared the polish wasn't properly sealed, and one nail had missing polish along the side before I ever left the salon. Since my nails were completely dry when I departed, I believe those issues should have been caught before the service was finished. For me, the overall experience wasn't worth the drive or the price I paid. The video of my nails tells the story better than this caption ever could. That said, based on my interaction with Honey, I genuinely believe booking with her could result in a different experience. This is one of the worst salon I have ever visited.The manager Andy is so rude and racist always ,pamper white & African American people at the same time he is very rude to Asians especially Indians and other middle eastern people.He is very disrespectful and doesn't know how to treat his employees. Excellent customer service! Andy does awesome nail art! Jimmy does a great job with acrylic nails! Many gel colors too. I noticed they had many regular customers. They repair anything for free! I would recommend this salon to everybody in the Plano/ Frisco area. They don't have any specials or coupons because they have low prices everyday.
