3 months ago I went to this salon for a regular manicure. Karen convinced me to try a gel instead. I was impressed with the final outcome of was beautiful and it lasted 3 weeks. So I went back for the same gel manicure. Karen complained continually about how terrible her life is as a single woman. While I did feel bad for her, I had just endured the death of my husband a few weeks before and didn't need to hear her sob story while trying to make myself feel a little pampered. The mani looked good, but 1.5 weeks later the top half of two nails just popped off for no reason while I was on a walk. When I returned to the Bellagio nail salon and showed Karen what happened she told me that has never happened and was not interested in doing anything to fix it. I told her I just wanted the gel removed and wanted just a regular manicure as $55 plus tip was way too expensive for 1.5 weeks. Karen instructed Tony to do the service for me. Tony was awful. He was extremely rough, and grinded into my fingers twice. The end result was ugly thin split nails that were lumpy. He applied a clear nail polish over the lumps and told me I was finished. I am trying to let my nails grow out enough to fix them. It's been 1 month and they are still splitting and look awful. I will never go back to that Bellagio nail salon in Plano. read more

Let me start off by saying, I usually don't post really bad reviews but I have to be direct and give details because I had the WORST pedicure EVER!! and now have to go get my pedicure done again!! The water was cold for starters. Than she was touching my feet with her cold gloves (it was freezing that day, I really wanted to be warm and comfortable and relax.). Then she took off my polish and began to drill my nails. I don't have GEL! she didn't want to take off the polish with acetone I guess. But she drilled so hard it hurt. No one has EVER drilled my toe nails in all the years I've been getting them done. When I told her to stop she got mad and went to cut my nails. She cut my nails with a CUTICLE CUTTER!!! Didn't file them correctly. I have sharp edges on my nails and then she proceeded to apply the polish with the color SHE wanted because it was "BETTER"! I wanted a soft white. Not a harsh white. But she said she couldn't open the OPI polish I wanted so she grabbed another one. Put 3 coats if thick polish on made it look clumpy. I will NEVER go here again! read more

I cannot say enough good things about my recent experience at Bellagio Nails Bar. Apparently, they are under new management as of October and I can see that a lot of improvements have been made. First off, let's start with the stellar service. Upon arriving, I was promptly greeted with friendly smiles and immediately led to my chair (I did have a reservation), where they took my drink order and set up the massage feature on the chair. Ensuring that the water temperature was just right, they I soaked my feet as they prepared the materials for my pedicure. I brought my husband's grandma because she was in town and we wanted to have a girls morning (she also has never had a pedicure before!). Both of us were in heaven. The pedicures were thorough, the massages were indulgent, and we both loved the how the colors we chose turned out. I also added on a gel manicure just because I didn't want my experience to end. Overall the experience was great and I cannot wait to go back for another treat myself day. It is also located in a strip mall with some great food choices so we were able to grab lunch after our mani/pedi date. I recently moved and my old go-to nail salon is simply too far for me to drive anymore. Let me start off by saying my experience started great. The woman who did my pedicure did a good job, but the polish was a little thick and smudged even after I left my toes out to dry for over an hour. What I'm really unhappy about are my nails. With every other nail salon a base powder is used with Nexgen. This isnt the case here. He never asked how I wanted my nails shaped. They were clearly a coffin first and now they're just tapered. on top of that, they were so thin, one broke the next day and another chipped day 2. When I went back to get them fixed, I waited over an hour for two nails. The lady who did them rushed through, one is shaped all funky (see photos) and the other is way longer than the rest. The top coat wasn't fully dry and she rubbed it, leaving my nails with a weird texture. My thumb even chipped again (see pictures). As if that wasn't enough, I got my nails done Monday, and by Thursday they started to yellow. I was expecting a great experience considering all of the good reviews, but mine has been anything but. I love the ballagio nail bar. I was visiting town and my nails started cracking and so they fixed it for me. Cindy at the front desk is so nice, and was super accommodating. They did a great job fixing my nail. The culture here is really great, clean, and just a relaxing one stop shop :) Highly recommend! I have been traveling for work and desperately needed a mani/pedi that I haven't had time to get at my usual place at home, and this was near my hotel with decent reviews. So I thought, why not!? While the staff were very nice and the facility appeared clean, it felt like a chop shop that wanted to get you out as fast as humanly possible. The manicurist was rough with my nails, fast and sloppy. Even with gel I'll be surprised if this lasts me the 4 days till the weekend. Uneven, sloppy and careless paint job. I'd give it a C rating at best. I have gone here many times, but the last time manager, I believe, With the Gucci-like watch band indicated that the white nails I wanted were boring and wanted to use her own color. She didn't match up my nail links, didn't let me wash my hands until after she was completely done and I had gel remnants all over them, and then she put some glitter stuff on when she was all done. They were pink. She did not use the color that I asked her to use specifically from the book. My mom & I came here as soon as nail salons opened back up after COVID 19. We had an appointment at 1:30, we showed up at 1:25 and were seated instantly which was great. Everything was going fine until my mom notices one of her nails isn't covered all the way in the dip powder. She asked her guy to take a look at it and he said "no, it's fine. I'll file it." Meanwhile, I asked my nail tech 3 times to make my nails shorter and when it came to pay, he charged me for "extra long length." My mom also showed the desk guy her nail, he asked her nail tech to take a look at it again, & he told my mom "it's just your skin." I was cut multiple times and then had to put the oil on my cuticles MYSELF. Definitely not coming back here. UPDATE- The manager, Kim, reached out to my mom and I, apologized, and offered her services free of charge. She was so kind, understanding, and did an excellent job. I had a terrible experience at this salon last night. The young girl who did my gel pedicure was great. The young guy, don't know his name who did my dip nails was awful. He was constantly pulling on my hand to reach closer to him, I was in a chair getting a pedi at the same time. Not once did he try and rearrange himself so i was comfortable. He did one hand at a time. The whole process then did the other hand. It was strange, I never had anyone do nails like that. I tried to wait until he was finished but I knew no matter what he did he cannot fix my nails. You could see through the polish, he didn't do enough dip. He didn't file properly, and he over filed on the sides, taking off all the color, but leaving my nails jagged. They were absolutely the worst dip I have ever had. I showed my daughter and she couldn't believe how bad they looked. Then I guess the owner or manager came over and started trying to correct them. She made them a bit better but you can't slap something on top of something bad and say all good. So I finally get up to go pay 2 hours later, and they charged me $120 on my credit card. No discount for the waste of time, no discount for having a person who clearly does not know how to do nails. Then they hand me $5 off my next visit if I spend $50. I left $20 in tip for the girl who did my pedi. I will never go back to this place. Unprofessional, overpriced, and obviously do not care about customer service.
