I recently visited Lavender Nail Bar and overall the space itself was genuinely beautiful. The interior is very well designed, clean, and extremely "Instagrammable," which definitely makes it a nice spot if you care about ambiance and aesthetics. When I arrived, the staff initially seemed friendly, and I did make sure to clearly explain my nail injury on my right thumb. That part felt acknowledged at first, which I appreciated. Kim did my pedicure and Theresa did my manicure, and both of them did a good job with the services themselves. However, what really disappointed me was the lack of attention when I asked multiple times for a cotton ball and foil for my injured nail. I asked three different people and kept getting overlooked, which was frustrating given that I couldn't properly soak or file that nail due to the injury. Another concern came up at checkout. I noticed the price for my manicure was changed at the register compared to what had been written by the nail technician. That felt dishonest and left a bad impression at the end of the visit. I look up the reviews and one name kept coming up, Tee. So, I started going to Tee for about 5 yrs. At my last appointment with Tee, , I asked how much would an ombré would be. I was quoted $35 and I repeated, to make sure I heard it right and it was confirmed correct. There was a client of his waiting, so he had a client sit next to me, while finishing up with me. But just a heads up- they had loud (almost rave?) music and literally like strobe lights, etc. It def wasn't spa vibes, more party vibes. The place was packed and there was a decent wait. I'm used to getting very intricate designs on my nails so I was looking for a place that could do that and I stumbled upon this place but when I went in, they didn't just have people who were able to do designs. This is a walk in business for pedicures and manicures! Their hours for one are amazing! My girlfriend gifted me a pedicure for my birthday! Even better she came with me to get our feet done together! Such a great treat! I've not been to a lot of places for pedicures. All basin are cleaned prior to use and they use plastic covers for each new customer. Norman was my technician for this pedicure. Nice fella. He did a good job. This place is Super busy! I have been coming to this nail salon for two years and I have never had many issues they're busy most days but today I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT A NAIL SHOP!! When I arrived I had to wait an hour which I understood so I got in line and when I returned they say my daughter and I down in the pedicure chairs. I sat there and got my nails done for 2 whole hours which I only wanted short French tip nothing crazy. The whole time they were doing my daughter's gel nails and full set. I arrived at 630pm & They closed at 9pm and didn't even try to turn my water on my feet until 915pm. The "manager" DANNY brought me a post it note with a total amount for my daughter and I that totaled up to about $240. My daughter specifically requested that she not get a full pedicure or the man to rub her feet and he insisted and continued to put lotion on her feet so he could charge me for a full pedicure. The lady that was on my toes Rosa didn't listen to anything I asked her to do.. I got no massage, no water, no scrub, nothing. Then DANNY brought me another receipt totaling up to $340 I explained to DANNY that neither one of us got an actual pedicure, we both got gel polish and she got water. That's it. And he still wanted to charge me for two full pedicures at 915pm when I didn't even get my feet in any water. When I told him no he threatened to call the police on me at that point I just paid and left. I went here on Sunday to get Gel X nails, and it was honestly one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. The technician used the electric sanding tool directly on my skin and ground into my cuticles. He cut my ring finger so badly that it started bleeding, and completely tore open the cuticle on my right thumb. That area has been swollen and infected for days now. It was clear he had no regard for being gentle or sanitary. I shouldn't have to deal with an infection because someone didn't know how to properly handle nail tools. This place seriously needs to retrain their staff and learn basic hygiene and safety. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. Even after my nails were done and I was still bleeding they not only charged me full price but then had the audacity to ask for a tip-- save yourself the pain and go somewhere that actually cares about their clients' health. read more

The only redeeming quality of this salon is the work and great relationships I have been able to form with the ladies who perform the services. Other than that, just go somewhere else. Let's just say do not use their online booking system. I have been told by management multiple times that the services I book are somehow mistakes. For example, I book a pedicure and dip powder session and on more than one occasion, the manager has told me that the services cannot be done at the same time, despite me BOOKING them to be done TOGETHER because the system scheduled them consecutively. So I sit there for an extra 1-1.5 hours to do the services separately. Additionally, on more than one occasion, I booked a combo appointment again a week in advance and ON THE DAY OF the salon calls me to tell me the person I booked is on vacation. The day of? And then anyone else I may want is booked up. Also, answer your phone because they won't leave a voicemail, no matter how many times you to tell the manager to, so sometimes I don't get the message that the person I booked has been on vacation until I am walking in the salon. I get stuck with whoever is available and, if you're anything like me, is picky with who does their service, as I get cut regularly by the drill. And lastly, the pricing. I don't do acrylics and I feel that is important here. You want a soak off of dip powder? $10 in addition to the price of any other manicure you are booking. You want ANY shape besides square on your natural nail? An additional $5. And this includes my natural nail that is ALREADY ROUND. You want matte instead of a shiny top coat? $5. Even though you are getting a top coat regardless... They nickel and dime you for every little thing. I made an appointment at a new salon. A soak off of dip powder is $5. Manicure, $22 with hand massage. I will miss Joyce (wonderful lady who deserves all the tips) but management just made me leave. read more

Best Manicure I Have Ever Received 10/10!!! I came in for a dip manicure and was immediately assisted with picking a color based on a photo I had (second picture). My nail tech's name was Ann and she did an AMAZING job. At first I was a bit skeptical that my nails would turn out well since instead of using the electric nail file in between dip layers, she did multiple dip layers first then filed my nails so neatly and beautifully to my desired coffin shape. I feel like for the price they charge the service should be a lot better. I got my nails done by amber and she makes them very thin. I don't mind that personally. I broke my pinky nail two weeks later and called to see if amber was available to fix it. The guy who answered the phone said she's available now so I told him i'd be there in 10 minutes. When I walked in there was a different younger guy up front and I told him I'm here to get my nail fixed by amber he says amber isn't working today. I said you must not know what you're talking about because I just spoke to someone 10 minutes ago. Then the other man who I spoke to on the phone (the one usually at the counter) came up and took me back to where amber was. She had just taken a walk in and was about to begin a soak off. She looks at my broken nail and says "i've fixed one for you already right?" I told her she was mistaken and this was the first nail i've broken. She brought that point up multiple times pointing at the chair where she originally did my set, basically arguing. I said don't worry i'm paying for it i don't understand the issue? She then asked "can you come back in 30 minutes so I don't rush your nail and it will look good." She explained that the guy at the front desk didn't tell her I was on the way and she wanted to start her new client. She basically told me if i made her do my nails in that moment she wouldn't do a good job? ?? I told her that wouldn't be fair to make me come back as I called and confirmed before I came. I told her i'd be more than happy to come back later if she wanted to do the repair for free which of course she did not. I got my nail fixed ($10) but I will never be back. Go somewhere where you are valued as a paying customer. Arguing with me on whether you've fixed a nail before or anything else was completely unacceptable especially after I tipped her so well on an already over priced set (130 plus 20) . (she charged extra because she had made them all different lengths and I made her shorten them to the same length after she put acrylic on because that's when I noticed it. She was very clearly upset about it and said I should've said something before the acrylic because it's more work for her) honestly, just do what you're getting paid for and be quiet. If you go here, Vivian is beyond amazing and will make sure your nails are perfect every time But I can not say the same for the other nail techs I've had while Vivian has been on vacation.. my nails are either lopsided, uneven, bulky, or a combination of the three. I'm currently sitting here now for a "pedicure" with COLD water just barely above my ankles. I give up on speaking up at this point told them the problems with my nails, she attempted to fix them and blamed it on the brand of nail polish when there's no correlation. GEL X nails only lasted 10 hours. They injured me twice, seem rushed, gave them another chance despite 2 "not amazing" previous visits. I prebooked a two person appointment, for 9pm, spent nearly $350 on mani pedi for my husband and I and also Gel X nails for me. This time was extra disappointing; straight away the tech cut me with the drill while taking off my previous set ( done somewhere else and lasted a month). This morning not even 10 hours later I noticed my left pinky nail is already lifting and this evening others are lifting as well.
