I've been coming here for the last few months. I love this place. Yesi is my favorite tech. She is wonderful. Their drinks are also very good!

Two weeks later!

Excuse the photo of my feet -- but I had to show off the flawlessness of this pedicure (with regular polish) two weeks and a vacation full of pool time later! The experience was excellent: my pedicurist was meticulous and careful, and the bartender was generous and outgoing, adding to the vibe. I also splurged on the head massage and facial. At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about it -- the technique felt a bit brisk and not as relaxing as I'd expected. But by the end, I was impressed by the quality of the products used, and it included a quick blow-dry as well. The real surprise came the next morning: my skin and hair were incredibly soft, and my scalp felt refreshed and free of buildup and dryness -- like a true reset. Overall, a great experience with results that exceeded expectations!

The shape and color requested.

Extremely disappointed and would not recommend this salon. We were rushed from the start, even though the salon was nearly empty. I requested 2 organic pedicures, 1 organic manicure, and 1 acrylic set, but was hurried to pick a color immediately. The technician cut my cuticles multiple times, leaving them sore and bloody, and my nails ended up uneven and shorter than expected due to constant reshaping. As we neared the end of our service, I asked about my spouse's manicure, but we were ignored until the very end, at which point we just asked to remove it. It would have been better if they simply told us they couldn't accommodate us. At checkout, I mentioned an online special but was told it no longer applied. After asking for an adjustment due to the painful cuts, he brushed me off and added \$40 to my bill for a forgotten gel charge, with no apology for the confusion or poor service. We won't be returning and suggest visiting other salons in the Gates of Prosper area with better service for the same price.

Ruined nails. She took off the surface

I had beautiful natural nails. I only wanted a polish and a pushback of my cuticle. Instead, she used an electronic drill to take off the entire surface of my nails and cut all my cuticles. I'm so mad my nails are ruined. It is gonna take months to grow them out. I just still can't believe that this is why I don't trust anybody to do manicures I just wanted a basic manicures and she has ruined my nails. And the checkout guy forced me to tip! She even tried to polish without a base coat and then she says she doesn't do manicures normally. Terrible!!!!

Definitely not worth spending $130 for just six days of use.

First visit on Saturday $130 for medium nails that lasted only six days. Not worth it. I don't mind paying, but they should last at least three weeks. Won't be back. The customer service is good The quality is a -zero

Wonderful experience here! Great customer service and they definitely met all my needs and requests. I got a pedicure by Kim and manicure by Tina and I will definitely be back.

I had been going to a different nail salon for months where the service had been declining nearly every time after my fourth visit. After having a nail tech almost make me cry, I decided that I was officially on the scout for a new salon. I'd seen Universal Nail and Spa on TikTok and Instagram and immediately wanted to try it out, so my mom and I made appointments for Friday, June 27. My nail tech, Crystal, was incredibly kind and checked with me several times throughout the service to make sure I didn't need any changes and if I liked my nails. She pointed out that my thumb may look a little different compared to the rest of my hand because the nail length was naturally shorter than the rest of my nails. Totally fine -- it had nothing to do with her but I appreciated that she still made me aware. And again, at the end of my service, she checked with me once more to make sure I was satisfied. Even though the salon is further away than my old place, I think it's worth the extra 20 minutes of driving to come here. I highly recommend Crystal -- it's obvious she's talented but she also has a wonderful personality and made my visit all the more better. My mom also had a nice experience with her nail tech, Tobi. We couldn't stop staring at our nails the rest of the evening.

Sunday funday at our new home for all pampering services. 10/10 stars all the way around. Complimentary drinks , cleanliness, and hospitality. Not to mention the endless amount of options for color. We had the best time!

This is what I'm walking out with

Got a decent pedicure but tried to use the polish to paint a couple of my hand nails. Didn't think it was a big deal. Wanted a couple of nails to match toes but didn't need a full mani. Was told I couldn't do that. No biggy I understand and stopped. Then needed one nail to be fixed and as she was doing it, I wanted a more specific shape so I asked to do it myself. As I was filing it, I got told I needed to leave as I wasn't allowed to use their file to do it myself. So I paid (was fully charged even though she didn't even finish) and left. So No, I'll never go back and DEFINITELY wouldn't recommend if you want something specific.

Fun nails for the start of summer!

I got a pedicure and dips on my fingernails. I did the $99 head spa and I really enjoyed my visit.

She brilliantly removed thick layers of gel and nail charms from another salon which took time and patience.

I booked her the bridal package, and I did the Hama session and a massage - both were incredibly relaxing and left me feeling refreshed. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, and the staff made the whole experience feel really special. It was the perfect way to slow down. Definitely recommend for a relaxing self-care day or special occasion

I wanted to see if DFW had a place that was adjacent to my out of town services. The facial was just ok, but the body scrub performed by Preeti was underwhelmingly done. There was no consultation about allergies or sensitivities, no hair covering offered, and the exfoliation was incomplete. The service felt rushed and I left feeling unclean rather than refreshed. She kept offering me a massage due to a cancellation that I said no multiple times. I didn't show my displeasure by being rude being I'm urging this new zen thing. I just noted subpar services are an overstated norm in North Texas. Also, it was stated if you have a service the steam sauna is complimentary it is not. I was not asked how my services went at check out and even though I called prior to 24hrs for initial appointment I was charged $30. Because of the experience, I called the spa the I Monday Feb 23 to cancel my membership/appointment and spoke with Ishma. She stated Preeti never received this feedback and I could come back. I declined due to lackof accountability and my time being completely wasted in this experience. The cancellation was agreed upon and she stated it would be done Tuesday since they are closed Monday. I followed up again the next day (Tuesday) because it had not been processed yet being I did not receive a confirmation text. After calling again, I received confirmation by text that my membership/appointment has been canceled. Despite canceling and receiving confirmation, my card was still charged fraudulently on March 6. That charge was not authorized, and I ultimately had to cancel my debit card because of it. At this point, the issue is no longer just about service quality but about billing practices, respect for a customer's time, and cancellation request. For those reasons, I cannot recommend this business and will continue my services where integrity, attention to detail, & quality of service are the norm.

Thoroughly disappointed…read more It's been years since my wife and I last floated. We used to go often in Austin, and we've been searching for a good spot closer to McKinney. The closest option seemed to be The Float Spot in Frisco. After months of talking about it, my wife surprised me with a booking for both of us this weekend for my birthday. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. Our area was under a WeatherCall NextGen alert instructing residents to seek higher ground. The street in front of our house had water flowing like an actual river. I called to explain the situation and see if we could move our appointment. The woman I spoke with, Crystal (who identified herself as the manager), seemed to take satisfaction in telling me we'd still be billed for half the booking. She said other customers were coming in without problems, as though we should risk our safety to do the same. When I asked about escalating to another manager, she repeated that she was the manager and even encouraged me to leave a review, pointing me to the other ones. So here I am. I haven't left a Yelp review in over five years, but this interaction pushed me to do so. We wish there were other float options in the area, because after this experience we'll never use this facility. Not because of the floats themselves, but because of how the staff handled the situation. Expecting people to put their lives at risk during literal flooding is unacceptable.
