I had a service here on February 19 that included a custom facial and hamam body scrub. I have had this type of scrub, Korean bodyscrub, & facials before. I wanted to see if DFW had a place that was adjacent to my out of town services. The facial was just ok, but the body scrub performed by Preeti was underwhelmingly done. There was no consultation about allergies or sensitivities, no hair covering offered, and the exfoliation was incomplete. The service felt rushed and I left feeling unclean rather than refreshed. She kept offering me a massage due to a cancellation that I said no multiple times. I didn't show my displeasure by being rude being I'm urging this new zen thing. I just noted subpar services are an overstated norm in North Texas. Also, it was stated if you have a service the steam sauna is complimentary it is not. I was not asked how my services went at check out and even though I called prior to 24hrs for initial appointment I was charged $30. Because of the experience, I called the spa the I Monday Feb 23 to cancel my membership/appointment and spoke with Ishma. She stated Preeti never received this feedback and I could come back. I declined due to lackof accountability and my time being completely wasted in this experience. The cancellation was agreed upon and she stated it would be done Tuesday since they are closed Monday. I followed up again the next day (Tuesday) because it had not been processed yet being I did not receive a confirmation text. After calling again, I received confirmation by text that my membership/appointment has been canceled. Despite canceling and receiving confirmation, my card was still charged fraudulently on March 6. That charge was not authorized, and I ultimately had to cancel my debit card because of it. At this point, the issue is no longer just about service quality but about billing practices, respect for a customer's time, and cancellation request. For those reasons, I cannot recommend this business and will continue my services where integrity, attention to detail, & quality of service are the norm. read more

This was my first time ever getting a Hamam bathing experience, and I chose the MHS Signature Hamam. It was absolutely amazing. I scheduled my appointment the night before, but they needed to move it up. They text me first and then called to confirm, which I really appreciated. Check-in was smooth, and the receptionist was welcoming. She explained everything clearly, including how to get dressed beforehand and how the locker worked. The lounge, the décor, the music, the overall ambiance... just so peaceful. I'll be honest I wasn't prepared for the noise the steam makes in the sauna room (lol), but once I got used to it, it was incredibly relaxing. I was also given a bottle of water prior to entering the sauna.Preeti (hope I'm spelling her name correctly) did an amazing job and was so accommodating. She checked in often to make sure I was comfortable, asked about the water temperature, and made sure I didn't slip when turning over. I also loved the tea and the baklava afterward. I was in absolutely no rush to get back to the outside world. Thank you so much for such a wonderful first experience. I was really excited to try this place as I've been to Moroccan baths in the south of Spain. This place was underwhelming at best and ruined my skin barrier. My friend and I both booked a package with massage and facial plus 90 min usage of the steam room. Any professional and experienced aesthetics place would know to schedule your steam room first and then the massage and finally the facial. This place did not and that should have been a huge red flag. The girl who greeted us and walked through our waiver forms kept rushing us and I wondered why. They only have 3 dedicated facial/massage rooms come to find out. She hurried us into the locker rooms and quickly told us to undress and I was to get my facial first and my friend would start with the massage. First of all, getting your facial first?? You'd ruin the facial and all the products put into your skin if you do the steam room last?????!! There was no room to negotiate the schedule so we just went with it. My facialist Roha was nice. However I had mentioned to her that my skin is sensitive because I use retinol daily. I do have some pore congestion around my Tzone that I'd like to focus on when she asked me if I had any issues I would like to address. This is where it went downhill. She proceeded to exfoliate my face 3 times using a face scrub and was really aggressive with the scrubbing and then suggested that I do a hydro facial for $20 more. I thought why not, since a hydro facial is moisturizing after the aggressive exfoliation. She was also incredibly aggressive with the hydro facial machine suction. Afterwards she put an "all natural" mask on my face that included vitamin C. If you over exfoliate someone's skin, you do not put strong actives on it afterwards!! My skin stung and burned so bad so a few minutes and then it felt ok. However my skin got progressively worse after I left and is now extremely dry and I have red marks all over my Tzone. It feels like I have a thin layer of scab all over my Tzone area where she went so hard on the exfoliating, literally scrubbed off a layer of my skin. My skin barrier is now ruined and I've been applying calming masks constantly to try to hydrate and repair it. I literally can not recommend going to this place for any aesthetic work. They are not knowledgeable on skincare. My massage therapist was decent. It wasn't the best massage I've had but it was pretty good. She got out a lot of the tension in my shoulders and upper back which is what I requested to be focused on. Afterwards we were rushed into the steam room where all the skincare products dripped off my face. I really wanted to like this place but sadly it was not good and I don't trust that the people who work here are experienced in skincare. read more

A 6 step body scrub and a massage for $175? Yes, please. I went to Maroc as a Valentine's Day treat for myself and it did not disappoint. They have facials, waxing, massages and even a med spa! When you walk in you are greeted at the door and then taken into the changing room where you are given disposable under garments in a towel. You then go to the waiting room until your service provider comes to take you back. My service started with the srcub and it was absolutely amazing. I did not realize that it began with a dry scrub so I was a little caught off guard by that, but it still felt amazing and I was even shown my dead skin lol. In the massage, the oil went on like butter. It was probably one of the better massages I've had just because of how easy the masseuse's hand were able to slide over my body. After the completion of all of your treatments, you are taken back to the waiting room and served a small treat and tea to finish your wind down. Overall, I had an amazing time and will definitely be returning. Such a great experience! The staff was really nice and will fill you in on just about everything. If they didn't, they were happy to answer any questions I had. My skin felt exceptionally soft after my visit. I loved that they have shower caps for those who don't want to get their hair wet/washed. The only two minor complaints I have would be regarding the massage and the dessert they offer afterwards. The massage was a little too soft; I'd would love it if they offered deep tissue with the scrub package. The dessert tasted stale - like it'd been sitting around for a week. My friend was visiting and we wanted to do a relaxing spa day! We found Maroc Hamam Spa on Yelp. I love that it was a women's only spa. I think there is one day of the week they have a day for men. We made our appointment via phone, and received a confirmation via text & email. Overall, I had a great experience and I would come here again! We both opted to the MHS signature Hamam body scrub. Scrub: 1) You are given paper disposable bra & underwear to change into. Your personal belongings are stored in a locker with a 2 digit passcode that you set for yourself 2) The attendant will begin scrubbing you with down in the private shower room 3) Afterwards, you are sent to the steam room for about 10-15 minutes to detox (they give you a cold water bottle to stay hydrated). The most intense steam room ever! Felt really good afterwards 4) You are then escorted back to the shower room where you are cleansed with another scrub, and manually scrubbed by the attendant. You are then washed off of all the dead skin 5) she will put a clay mask all over your body and then she will make some bubbles/suds to cover your whole body! It was truly magical! This part was my favorite!!! Pros: 1) My whole body still feels silky smooth after 3 days post-scrub! 2) super relaxing experience! I love how each person has a private shower room for the experience 3) the tea and baklava were delicious! A great way to wind down Cons: 1) The woman working the front desk was very frazzled. I have been eyeing this place for at least a year and finally decided to go ahead and try the services here! I opted for the MHS Combination package with the signature hamam and the massage, you could swap one of those for a facial instead. This location is women only except for Mondays, which is when men are allowed to get services. When I arrived, they invited me back to the warm seating area where people wait in between services. I was given a locker to put my stuff in and they give you disposable underwear (these are very small so just prepare yourself if you're curvier) to wear under a towel you wrap around yourself. I waited there until my masseuse came to get me around 12:10. The tables are not adjustable for shorter people, so we had to roll towels to support my neck when I was face down on the massage table. The massage was good and ended right at 1pm, she was great at getting out all my knots! After the massage I went back to the waiting area again and another women brought me back to the hamam shower area. First they put a body mask on you before bringing you to the sauna, where you lay down on your towel for 15 minutes for the mask to solidify. After that, you're brought back to your room and go through an exfoliating scrub and two more washes before getting covered in a literal blanket of sweet smelling bubbles! While you lay down under the bubbles, you get your hair washed with shampoo and conditioner before getting washed off one more time. My skin was soooo soft afterwards and everything smelled amazing. They have blow dryers and lotion available for you after. They'll bring you to the waiting area one more time to drink some hot green tea and have a small piece of baklava before redressing and paying at the front. It was truly a unique experience and everyone was very sweet and stayed on schedule. It's definitely a splurge but worth it every now and then! read more

Finally found my spot to de-stress and relax! I've been in for a Swedish massage as well as gotten a Brazilian wax. And I'm definitely going to continue to return for their other services offered. The moment you step into the spa you are welcomed with a relaxing atmosphere - dim lights, soft playing background music, aromatherapy. Once checked in, you are brought into a changing room where you receive your locker that you can program your own code. You change into a white robe like towel and rubber slide on slippers. This just adds onto that spa experience. After your service, you are directed to sit in their Moroccan decorated waiting room where you are served hot green tea and baklava. And oh my the green tea is soooo good! I was told they have it shipped from Morocco. I highly recommend massages with Esmeralda. She's very attentive to your requests for massage pressure and preferred focus areas. However, when I started my service I was told information that was important to help minimize the pain of waxing. So I spent the first 10-15 minutes doing this before I could even start my waxing. She did not verify first if the card on file from my first visit (which my husband set up) was the card I wanted charged during this second visit. She charged the card along with a $20 tip. She did not check with me to find out if that was the tip amount I wanted to provide. When I mentioned this to her, she offered a refund and a recharge but told me it would take about 3-5 business days to receive the refund. I have experienced multiple instances where I have been rudely referred to by my race in a disrespectful manner by the receptionist. However, this past Mother's Day weekend solidified my desire to sever ties. I have been a member for the past 2 years and the way that my family and I were treated over the weekend was DISGUSTING. I spent over $600 on services for myself and my family only to be told that we could not be issued a locker until our massage services were to begin even though we were booked for the steam room and had nowhere to place our expensive bags and jewelry. The receptionist referred to my family on multiple instances as "you people" (which is beyond derogatory and considered to be a racial insult) I also paid for 2 express facials and 1 full anti aging facial, however I was told that because they were busy that the esthetician did not have time so she could only do 3 express facials. By this point I was LIVID. The treatment that we received was TERRIBLE. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE . I came in for massage and steam room this Friday afternoon. It was my first time at this spa and I didn't know much. I got yelled at by the receptionist while I was trying to have my tea (tea is part of the service I booked) because I got the floor in the changing room wet after using steam room. Apparently I was supposed to bring more towels with me so this wouldn't happen. The fact that I was my first time at the spa and when I called to make an appointment I wasn't informed that Im gonna need towels didn't matter. She wasn't even listening to me. After she finished lecturing me she told me I should know this for the next time. Well.. there is not gonna be next time cause Im not going back there ever again after that experience. This was my first time having a body scrub and to get a Moroccan scrub certainly sets a standard that's hard to beat!!! My 3 Daughters and I visited Maroc Hamam Spa today for the second time. It was a special celebration for us to spend quality time together and my daughters gifted me the massage for my Christmas gift. The young lady at the front desk seemed extremely timid and unsure about the process when we arrived. The Spa was extremely busy today and there was a great deal of back and forth by various Staff Members in addition to other Customers. This created a somewhat chaotic environment and hindered our ability to fully relax in the waiting area. Although the Staff Members are pleasant, I did not find the atmosphere warm, friendly, or inviting. We arrived 15 minutes before our appointment time however our massages did not begin until about 15 minutes after we were scheduled to begin. The massages ended about 10 minutes early therefore we did not receive the 60 minutes we paid for. During our checkout, we inquired about the time discrepancy, and a slight adjustment was made to accommodate the shortage. As was the case on my first visit, the Massage Therapist was extremely firm, and although I asked for less pressure, she didn't seem to understand. For those who enjoy a good deep-tissue massage, it would be perfect; however, I prefer a Swedish massage. I had to take an Advil after my visit last year, and again today. I also noticed that following our massages, the two of us who went first did not receive our tea service until after people who finished up after we did. I'm not sure why this happened nor did we question it. I don't believe we will visit the Spa again in the future based on our experience today. read more

So... I went here for the first time on Tuesday 2/28. I had really high hopes because all the reviews I saw really hyped this place up. I am not sure if I came on an off day but it just wasn't giving what I thought it was going to give. It was just okay.. Everyone was polite. However, the lady at the front was running it like a restaurant. Every couple of minutes she was coming to the sitting area repeatedly asking everyone what service they were there for. It was annoying, especially when trying to relax. I got a body scrub w/ a hair cleanse and mask and a massage, both were scheduled for an hour. Both were supposed to be back to back services. 5pm for the scrub and 6pm for the massage. The body scrub was ok, but she left me in the steam room for like 15-20 mins instead of the 10 mins, and that took time away from the actual scrub. The hair wash was subpar, a complete waste of money. It was supposed to be 15 mins and it definitely was not. After the body scrub I had to go back to the sitting area and again the lady at the front asked me and the other ladies repeatedly what services we were waiting for. One lady was trying to relax and close her eyes before sipping her tea and the lady was questioning why she hadn't drank her tea yet, it was awkward. Finally I was called back for my massage and it was 10 mins after my time. Once the massage was over I noticed the massage ended early as well and the lady seemed like she was just ready to get off work. So not only was the body scrub shorted, so was my massage. Neither were for the full hour that I purchased. I'm not sure if I would go back to this place. It was cool, but not what I expected for a spa. Oh and fyi they don't answer the phone when you call, so if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, good luck. read more

The Moroccan Hamam is very relaxing and beautiful. I got the Moroccan scrub bath. I was very happy with my scrub Ingless is very kind and did a fantastic job. They scrub you and they put shampoo and conditioner in your hair as well as give you a nice bath with bubbles. I thought it was beautifully done and organized. I did not like the steam room at all and one thing I did not like was that your 50 minutes starts as soon as you walk in the door , so that takes away from the time you sign your paper work and get undressed and etc. I thought that was SUPER DECEIVING . The scub was 30 minutes they make you sit in a sauna for 10-15 minutes. I got tea and baklava at the end of my spa treatment it was very delicious. Me and my frined go spa hopping through out the DFW area . We decided to try this place since it was so hyped on social media. The reason why they got a two star from me is because it was the most confusing spa experience in my life. The women in front didn't know how to explain our services to us. We booked reservations at 10:30 am for steam/wash area. For myself I had also booked a facial and scrub. When the staff booked my services to start at 11am that would only give me 30 mins in the steam with her and me together .... So just 30 mins before I had to start my facial. I am not sure why the staff did the reservations this way but had we been explained the process we would not have had the booking done this way. Also we were told we couldn't change the timings because the shower and steam room was reserved by other parties and it's private per party. Well when we were in there it wasn't private per party there were other women there which we don't mind but we could have changed our timings so we could have enjoyed it together longer. Coming to the facial that's was AMAZING Roha I believe is her name she was soooo good def worth the facial. Now the body scrub not good at all. The products they used were very nice and smelled sooo good but the actually girl who did it wasn't experienced at all. I was cold through the whole process the breaks were too long between the rinse and scrubs where I felt frozen to a point. The actual act of scrubbing she didn't scrub my whole body she just did bits and pieces of areas. I have experience many body scrubs in my life in different parts of the world as well and this was hands down not only expensive but not worth the experience of what a body scrub should be. The place is very pretty very clean and the ladies are very sweet and nice. Also being a women's only is a huge plus. They all just need more training. Had a wonderful henna hammam here! The attendants were lovely and very efficient. If you've never had a hammam, treat yourself to one, they're relaxing and great for your skin and overall health. First you go into a steam. Then you get a scrub down by a remarkably strong woman. Then you get this blanket of soap bubbles and a hair wash which is a built in head massage. It's incredible! After you rinse off and then get treated to some yummy baklava and mint tea. I loved it. I added the henna body mask, which did stain my palms a bit. I didn't mind but just fyi. I decided to try this place out after flying back in from out of Town and needed some self care. The place looked amazing online. I have had hamam bath experiences before both in Vegas at the Aria hamam spa and also while living in NYC. So I am quite familiar with the experience. When I looked up at this place. I was intrigued because it was only 8 mins from my house in FRISCO! When I called I knew the young women who answered the phone was inexperience because she really couldn't answer a lot of questions. She had to read the description off literature .... just to answer my questions. She was super nice but..... I will explain. Everyone was super nice. The place is really pretty. Each person gets an individual room to get their bath experience. Which is an attendant (in my case the young girl who answered the phone ended up being my bath attendant) she sprays water on me and uses a hand scrub mitten to scrub me. Then after she applied a black soap and a body mask on me. ....But I had no idea that the person doing my bath experience was just a girl still in high school with no training in beauty or spa treatments. I was expecting a licensed personnel to perform my bath and scrub. I knew from getting the bath from her she was untrained because my scrub was horrible! She didn't know how to scrub me. She just randomly scrubbed me. Which NO technique. It was literally like asking a random person to perform a spa service. Except you are paying SPA PRICES. When I asked her if she was in the beauty industry. She said she works there because her mom is the massage therapist. "And it beats working at McDonald's" I was shocked :-/ She was really sweet. But I asked her about every ingredient she put on me, as I always ask when everything is when I get spa treatments. (The scrub, body masks, soap) and she just said. "It's all natural" and when I asked but what is in it? She said " I can find out for you..."I felt REALLY disappointed that I paid $75 (Christmas special price regular $140!) to have a bath experience performed by someone who has no beauty or spa background!!!! I ALSO booked a head massage while booking on phone. Which she didn't get to my reservation, I was sad but realized it was probably a blessing in disguise. When I was done with my bath. And was checking out, I asked the front desk lady (her mom). I asked her if any personnel doing the baths are licensed... she said no. Because licensing is not required to do baths and scrubs. Which might be true in Texas. But I feel REALLY uncomfortable with that since this young woman literally gave me a scrub and work on my body. She touched me and washed me with wash clothes in that room. And I am soooo concerned with the cleanliness. Even though it was a pretty place and the tea was great at the end. I think it's VERY misleading to have people pay spa prices and when I get there a girl who is 18 and untrained still in high school is giving me body treatments. I am so sad about this because the place has so much potential. But my body scrub and bath experience was horrible. Overall, the experience was pleasant and relaxing. Definitely worth a visit but not something you would do all the time. I say that because the over price service they have. We ended up doing a MEDITERRANEAN INFUSION which was a cool experience- a new thing to try for sure. (No phones allowed) they do give you bathing suit to change into as well as a locker to keep your personal items. At the end we were offered some tea with baklava. Tip to bring: face cream or body location especially if you have dry skin which I do and regretted not being well prepared. Also my hair seemed pretty dry after the whole experience idk why! I like the idea but the implementation is poor. It's chaotic and unorganized. The lady that runs it is constantly popping her head into the relaxation area to loudly ask someone for their name, AGAIN, or to yell said persons name at them in order to abrasively corral them to their service. The cleanliness is subpar, definite red flag. The scrub was done by someone who was so young they definitely couldn't have the proper licensing. The deep tissue massage was awful, I would be shocked if the masseuse was licensed based on the fact that she spent most of the session trying to massage my bones instead of the surrounding muscles. So we bought a Groupon for this place and called to book appointments for my friend and myself. They didn't answer the phone the first couple of times I called then finally 2 days later they called me back. Then they flatly refused to book us simultaneously. I thought that was strange since I have always been able to go to spas together with friends at other places. Ok so I show up at my appointment and there is no one at the front desk for 15 minutes and no where to sit. Then this lady with long black hair comes from the back while talking on her cell. No hello, no welcome, no apology. I told her I had an appointment. She made me fill out some forms and then Elly did my facial. I asked her is it the signature facial and she said no as Groupons are only for custom facials. She proceeded to work on my face and started doing these extremely painful extractions and I screamed and told her I didn't want them. So next she tried to upsell a hydro facial saying that would be a pain free way of getting my pores cleaned instead. I've had extractions done at other salons and they are a bit painful but not like how this lady was doing it. I believe she purposely did them very hard to upsell the hydro facial. She told me it was an extra $50. I declined. My friend who went a different day was told her hydro facial upgrade was $40. Wth?! Get your pricing straight, people. I truly believe the Groupon buyers don't get treated as well as other customers. Then they give you half a baklava and some tea afterwards. The owners really need to retrain their front desk staff who are on their phones instead of taking care of customers and their aestheticians who try to hurt you in an effort to upsell their services. Horrible place. I checked my Groupon and it did say Signature facial which they refused to honor and gave me the regular Custom facial instead. Won't be going back. I'm only giving this place 4 stars because of my aunt'a experience. I would give it 5 Starr's for mine. I booked the massage and body scrub and loved it. The price was reasonable which is why I decided to come back and bring my mom and aunt. My mom received a facial in which she loved and my aunt received a massage. She said the masseuse failed to massage her lower back and when she asked her to the lady argued with her and told her she already did in which led for them to go back and forth until the masseuse finally went back and did it again. I still would come back to this location because I had a good experience but I would say it's room for improvement. read more

I had a massage and facial and both technicians were excellent. They asked questions and then respond appropriately with the correct pressure during my massage and Ms. Rohan explained every step of my facial. I will definitely comeback. read more

Our first time checking this place out. We were a group of 4 for a birthday pampering. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout their whole process. The body scrub was amazing!! The massage was great as well. We will definitely be back and recommend to others. read more

I was so excited to try this place but their customer service was less than desirable. I had googled them and saw they had a link to book online. I booked my service according to their availability. At around 11:30 the day of my appointment I get a call that I OVERBOOKED the time for my massage. I told them I don't know their schedule to know they are overbooked. She said that's why we ask to call and book. Again, how would I know that? I've never been there. All of this was happening while I was driving and running errands. When I had booked my appointment I noticed they had a Groupon available so I had purchased it. The person told me they could accommodate me at 2. I told them that was fine and I had a Groupon. She told me she could not book it until I gave her the voucher number. I had to pull over to give her the voucher number. After 20 minutes, I realized that 2 didn't work for me after all. I called them back to say I could not do 2 pm. They told me they would charge me a fee!! So they make a mistake of allowing a booking, call me to reschedule, insist I give them the Groupon number and then tell me they will CHARGE me for their mistake. No place is worth the hassle of trying to get a message. read more
