Disrespectful and unprofessional experience - I do NOT recommend I visited Lemon Tree Massage with my husband after recently moving to the area. We booked a 90-minute dry couple massage ($120 per person, $240 total). While the place was quiet at first, the experience quickly became uncomfortable and unprofessional. The front desk staff was the only one who spoke English. The massage therapists spoke Chinese, and I happen to understand Chinese as I lived in China for 6 years. When I tried to clarify what clothing I should keep on (since I was told to undress but wasn't sure if I should remove my bra), I overheard the therapists saying in Chinese, "Why can't she understand anything?"--which was very rude. The massage itself was also very poor: it felt like the therapist was just pinching or rubbing my skin, not working on the muscles. Most of the time was spent only on my back, even though it was supposed to be a full-body massage. After the session, we tipped less than usual (still reasonable), due to the unsatisfactory experience. One of the therapists slammed the tip on the counter in front of us, visibly upset, and then called the manager--also speaking in Chinese, clearly complaining about the tip amount. The manager came and showed us a list of what other customers had tipped, basically pressuring us to pay more. We felt extremely uncomfortable, and to just end the awkward situation, we gave a larger tip and left. We normally tip 25-30% at massage places, but this place did not deserve it. We will never return. I highly advise you to avoid this business, especially if you value respectful customer service. read more

I was not pleased with the professionalism of my masseuse and the front desk during my visit. A family member of mine experienced inappropriate touching too and never came back. During my visit, the masseuse got on the table and was hovering on top of me while massaging which was very uncomfortable, so I told her to stop. She refused to get off the table. When I told the front desk about this, he told me that this is "normal" massage practice. I was shocked that there was zero regard for my bad experience, and I probably should have tipped less. I'd give it a 7/10. They are a bit noisy in the front while people are getting massages. Something I think any spa like place should make an effort to avoid. And the guy at the front had very rushed energy and just wasn't a great way to begin my relaxation. My massage was pretty good. I'll say the strokes were very fast and rushed, not slow and long. So it wasn't very relaxing or focused. Did it feel good? Sure... But it didn't feel like my masseuse was feeling my body for knots and working through them, but more just going through the motions. I'm also surprised they didn't ask me certain things like what type of massage I would like. She also didn't ask if I minded my hair and face being rubbed. It was fine because I wasn't going anywhere after really (just some errands) but I would have preferred not to have my face and scalp have oil rubbed on them. Most places ask first.
