This was my first time here and I was excited to try the crab dip. We were seated immediately but 15 minutes roll by and we had yet to be greeted by a server. A server comes by to ask if we had been helped yet, we replied no, and he went to talk to the host about where our server was. 5 more minutes roll by so we walk up to the host and ask for a manager. Manager comes by and we tell her (didn't catch her name because she didn't have a name tag) we hadn't been greeted yet and she said she would get us drinks but she needed an ID for my friends alcoholic beverage. She brings the non-alcoholic beverages over first and then inspects my friends ID for 10 minutes to eventually tell her that they won't be taking it because "on Google" the ID didn't look like the pictures online. She's from Florida which just got new licenses not too long ago and she was looking at an old license. At this point, we had been sitting at our table for 30 minutes, no server, and now being denied a beverage so we said "thanks, but no thanks." Glory days claims to be a "homer" bar. This is not the case. The two home NFL teams in Maryland are the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Redskins. Glory days has about 29 big screen TVS, on an NFL Sunday the Baltimore Ravens were only shown on two TVS. The manager did not talk to us until asking for him three times. One of our absolute favorite places to go! Great value for the size of the portions, the wings are the best in town and their gluten free options are the amazing. Best gluten free burger bun we've ever had and a separate gluten free fryer for their wings. Manager personally makes sure the gluten free food makes it to the right people. I'm new to the area and I was looking for a place to catch the NFL games at, I was told by a friend this place showed all the games so I decided to go. When I went they only had the game I wanted to watch on a small TV, I asked if they could switch it to another TV and they said they couldn't . They had the same one game playing on 7 TVs all around the restaurant so I'm sure it wouldn't have hurt to accommodate us. One game on 7 TVs and they couldn't just change one so we could watch our game where we were seated smh... Went here a couple times with my parents. Glory Days is a good place to go if you want a beer and burger to watch some sports. Good bar with good beer on tap. My parents and I went on Monday and were able to get the Classic Burgers for $5.50. This is a defiantly a great deal because the burgers are really good and you can get a side with the burger or get soup instead. If you're going to get a side, get the creamy mashed potatoes. We went as soon as they opened at 11 am so service was good. I would recommend Glory Days and defiantly check out the daily specials before you go. read more

We love this place. The food is great, the prices are good, the staff is friendly and helpful. We can take our kids here without any problem (including when I discreetly nurse my baby), and we've watched entire football games here during the season. They have a TON of TVs, so every game is covered and you can watch any one of them comfortably. A problem we noticed in the women's bathroom was quickly fixed the next time we visited. Visiting family for Christmas and wanted to join local alumni group to watch bowl game. Halfway thru the game, restaurant changed nearly all of 20+ tv screens to NFL game. Alumni group had 5 tables and were told that one screen was enough. (Though still having Road Runner cartoons on at least 5 other TVs.). No amount of discussion would change the mind of the manager. All of us walked out in disgust. Strongly recommend that everyone forget about hospitality at this dump. read more

I took my son and client there last night. Everything started out ok. I instructed my waitress that I am highly allergic to black pepper and can not have it on any of my food. I ordered a steak and cheese sub. She stated taht she would tell the kitchen. I reiterated the importance and told her that it would close my throat. When she brought out our food my french fries had black pepper on them. She states,"they gave you the wrong ones" and took the plate back. When she returned she stated they swapped the fries for the unseasoned ones. I thanked her and ate half of my steak and cheese sub. By then my throat started to feel funny and my chest was getting tight. I unwrapped the other half of my sub and sure enough there was black pepper on the wrapper and on the onions iin my sub. I called over the waitress and informed her of what was happening. I stated I needed the check we have to go and please get your manager. It took him 5 minutes to get out to use. Thank GOD I had benadryl in my purse. He stated we cooked it in a seperate frying pan and I was in the kitchen too. I showed him the black pepper in the wrapper and on the onions and he stated we don't use black pepper. That is not true. He requested my name and number to "Check up on me later to see how I was doing". Which by the way they never did. We paid and left with out my son or client being able to finish theire meals. I told the manager that if my epi-pen is not in the car that I would be going to the hospital. He never asked if there was anything he could do for me. Did not ask if I was ok. Never offered to call an ambulance. Never offerred to reimburse the check. Thank GOD the epi-pen was in the car. If you have food allergies PLEASE PLEASE do not eat at this restaurant. They just don't get the importance of listening to customers when they state they have food allergies. Very disappointed in service and meal tonight. Ordered 2 dinners, via curbside pickup. Gave the order taker the make, model and color of the car which is normal protocol for curbside pickup. My husband arrived and parked in the designated area for curbside pick up. He waited 15 minutes and no order or courtesy visit to let him know things were running behind. He finally went into the pick-up area. No attendants at the counter, however, there were 4 servers/employees sitting at a table folding napkins. All of which saw him waiting, but none of which asked if they could help him. He finally was able to flag down a working server and asked for his curbside pickup order. The server told him that they didn't have anyone working curbside pickup tonight and he could find his order at the bar. We were not advised of this when we specifically asked for curbside pickup and gave our auto info. Why couldn't one of those folks folding napkins be working curbside pick up as well, or at least offer to assist him? Why didn't the server offer to retrieve the order for my husband? My husband made his way to the bar where he had to wait another 10 minutes as the bartender was busy with bar patrons. Upon arriving home, as expected after the time lapse, the meals ( fish taco's) were cold, but not only that, they were assembled very poorly. Most of the fish was assembled on 1 taco, with only a sliver of fish on the other taco. This was replicated on both meals, not just an oversight on one meal. Last but not least there was a foreign object (we think it was part of the seed) in the guacamole. Not our best experience with Glory Days. We are normally very satisfied with our service and meal. read more

A group of 6 of us from work went on a Friday for lunch (Veteran's Day). It wasn't overly crowded or busy. Our waitress was nice. When one of our team mentioned he was a veteran, she offered him a free appetizer. We ordered 5 burgers and one Cobb Salad. It took approx. 30 minutes for the appetizer to arrive and another 15 minutes for the entrees. What's weird is that the burger that was ordered rare was the last to arrive. Everyone was pleased with their food but the dressing on the salad had no flavor. They were able to give us separate tabs which was nice. They did not have a separate lunch menu so prices were a little high for lunch. Even their sodas and ice teas were $2.69. They also don't get you in and out like is needed for lunch so we were about 20 minutes late getting back to the office. I'm not sure if it's the kitchen or the wait staff. I may try it again for dinner but NEVER if you're in a hurry. read more

It has been a while, since I ate at Glory Days, and this evening was reminded why I rarely frequent the restaurant. Our server was slow to show, but when he did, warmed up and soon was on the ball. Two in my party ordered the sliders. 2 of mine were fine, the 3rd was almost too hard to eat. The other order, 2 of the sliders left the bun soggy and one was too tough to eat, winding up to be a dog treat. One order was for the wood salmon, advertised with two sides, the other order was the salmon with one side. We were told the increased price for the Salmon with one side was due to the size of the salmon portion. There was no difference in the size of the serving. I was paying and my guests did not want to insult by complaining. Although it is my fault that I misread the menu, onions and mushrooms, as well as the sauce had an "Up-charge" ($1.99 for about an ounce, or each item) which the waiter did not share or remind. He did mention "there a small$1-2 up-charge for soup and salad", which was actually per item, and the soup was almost $4 up-charge, and the salad was over $2. What I expected to be around $58 -$60 meal wound up being over $80 for four people, not including the tip. For the dollars spent, I could visit any of a number of competitive restaurants and order steak with add on shrimp and share a meal with a potato and salad along with lots of sauces and bread (no up-charge)! with a glass of wine and much more pleasant ambiance. The only saving grace was I indulged in sweet potato fries, but there also was disappointment there because the serving was about half the size compared to my last visit, barely enough to share so I bought a second serving. It will be a very long time before I return, if I even do. read more

I never write reviews but my boyfriend and I thought it was necessary. My boyfriend is a cook in a 4 star restaurant and I've worked in several restaurants on and off for over 15yrs. Tonight we had a very unpleasant experience, not worth the money, and we will more than likely not return do to mostly the service. I don't know if our waitress was new to serving or just had an off day. When she took our drink orders, she darted off to go make them (maybe we wanted an appetizer?). The drinks took over 10mins to get to our table when we only ordered 2 kids drinks, a water, and a bottle of bud. When she dropped off the drinks, she darted off again and didn't come back another 15mins later to finally take our food order. Our food came out another 15mins later where it was cold, very bland (flavor less), my boyfriend was pissed he was skimmed on the fries, I asked for No pickles or onions when low and behold I had grilled onions hiding and a huge pickle on top of my burger; all our food was brought out by the manager I believe. She never came back to check on us, refill our drinks, ask if everything was ok until we were finished and ready for a check. If we do go back, we'll play it safe and only come for drinks when a game is on since this establishment only seems to be awesome in that aspect. I don't wish the girl to be fired or even lectured, with proper training maybe she can be a great waitress. As for the kitchen, my boyfriend said the food NEEDS to be "Doctored Up" with the flavors. Ate there tonight. Service was good. This is more of a comparison of Lobster Rolls between Glory Days & Panera Bread. The Panera Bread roll is fabulous. Lumps of lobster on a wonderful bread. The Glory Days version was more creamy and was served on hot dog rolls. Panera wins! read more

I love Glory Days. The food there is delicious! My favorite appetizer is the crab pretzels. The chicken wings are the best in town. I always have the best service when I go in there! This was my first visit to Glory Days Frederick MD, and my experience was terrible after being seated for almost 15 minutes without a single "hello" or "I'll be right with you" I should have just went with my first instinct to leave. Once my party and I were finally acknowledged the service was very slow simple things like refills for drinks and grabbing sauces were taking 15+ minutes to make it to the table. There were several times where our server didn't stop to check on us when it was clear we had empty glasses and plates that needed attention, and additionally when she did finally attend our table she often would just grab things of the table without saying anything to us. After being ignored and served badly for over an hour we spoke with the manager who listened to us well and tried her best to rectify the damage done by this server by offering us dessert or Togo cups which we declined and simply asked for the check. However server Jessica felt the need to really ensure we would never want return to this restaurant again. She brought one empty Togo cup and tossed it on the table ( that was a party of three) then proceed to still take her time in bring out the check, only to add in a condisending tone when she finally delivered the check, how our order was comped for our inconveniences. Leaving us with a snippy "bye now". Jessica continued to give us attitude and stomp back and forth past our table while we reviewed and signed the check. then proceeded to follow us out the door to scream "have a good night!" Her behavior was completely ridiculous and unprofessional. Very disappointed. read more
