This is a safe bet...usually everyone enjoys what they get...but nothing to rave about. We tried the Family Fried Chicken Meal w garlic mashed potatoes and the chicken was crispy and juicy - no complaints. The cheesesteak was good- could barely taste the horseradish aioli and the bread was soft and a little too filling. I could only heat half. The fries are always on point so don't skip out. And we love the coleslaw here. The place is usually packed- they have a nice outdoor area with coverage for weather.

I've had the pleasure of dining at four of Bryan Voltaggio's other restaurants in the past, and while this visit was pleasant, I'd have to say it was the least impressive of the bunch. It isn't a "bad" review by any means, but the food was a bit more average than I've come to expect from this group. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly our server, Nate. He was highly professional and truly everything anyone could ask for in a server. The level of hospitality he provided helped elevate the afternoon into a very pleasant experience. While the meal was enjoyable, the food felt somewhat average compared to the high bar set by Voltaggio's other spots: * Nashville Hot Chicken ($15.00): Ordered with a side of Napalm Sauce and substituted fries for chips ($3.00). In my opinion, it could have been a bit hotter had it been made to order. * Showroom Steak and Cheese ($19.00): A solid centerpiece to the meal. * Drinks: We paired the meal with a Riesling ($11.00) and an East Street Old Fashioned ($15.00). The total for the meal came to $81.07, including a $13.51 tip for Nate's stellar service. This is a great spot for a professional and well-paced meal, but if the kitchen can dial in the temperature and "made-to-order" feel of the dishes, it would easily earn that final star.

Overall, a pretty good experience. I was looking for a decent brunch spot in Frederick and showroom came up as a good option. Came in on a Sunday and it was pretty packed. Usually a good sign that the food is tasty to have people lining up to get in. It was just a short wait until we were able to be seated. The service was great. the waiter came over and let us know that he would be a minute because he was serving a large party. He did drop off menus and water. They put an entire bottle of water so you are free to serve yourself and refill as many times as You need. For an appetizer, we ordered the pot pie fritters. They were kind of like hush puppies stuffed with chicken and vegetables. The breading was interesting because it was actually Ritz crackers. It was very good and a different flavor than I'm used to. For my meal, I chose the chicken and waffles. My only complaint was that the chicken was not seasoned very much. However, it was moist inside and crispy on the outside. The waffle was cooked perfectly. But they did not include butter with it, though you can eat it without. It was all drizzled with a small amount of honey as well. The best part was their hot sauce. It reminded me a little bit of Frank's red heart, but it had a sweet flavor to it. I usually steer clear of the super hot hots. So, it was right up my alley. To rinse everything down I ordered the mimosa flight. It came with four 8 ounce pours so I was able to sample all of their different varieties. They had a traditional orange, a pineapple, a cranberry, and a cider. The cider one pretty much tasted like a sparkling cider. I think my favorite one was the traditional orange. Overall, the service was great. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food I could go either way on, but it was mostly good. I would come back again in the future, but it would not be my first option.

We returned recently because I've been thinking about my last meal there since I left the restaurant (in June). We ordered almost the same things and had the same awesome server, Dylan. Dylan's got great calm vibes and the food was even better than I remembered it. Love this place. Chill, clean, simple atmosphere with good vibes and great food.

I was in the area for an event and I'm so happy I came by this place! Everything on their menu sounded delicious, but I ended up going with the hot chicken sandwich with fries and I was very impressed. The chicken was decently spicy, but it did need a little bit of salt. The sandwich had a huge piece of chicken in it so I appreciate them not skimping. Their fries OMG - might actually be top 3 fries I've ever had. They were crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. It had some seasoning on it with old bay and salt. The mac and cheese was also delicious and I'm usually not a fan of restaurant mac and cheese. The service was decent. My waitress was a little slow but it was fine I wasn't in a rush. The restaurant is super clean and spacious, super modern. Love this place, if I'm ever back in the area I'm coming back!

Came here with some friends. It was my first time going there. Parking is plentiful (the area is shared by others, but there are still many spots available). At first glance at the menu, I did not know what to order as there were many items I was interested in. I eventually settled on the following: Breakfast Sandwich - menu describes it as scrambled eggs with cheddar, bacon, avocado, and made on a choice of brioche bun, white, rye, or wheat. The dish is served with breakfast potatoes. There are some extra items on the menu for this meal, but next time I'll need to get proper clarification on it. The sandwich was great even though my eggs surely did not look scrambled. I would get it again, but maybe on a different type of bread. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly and there were a lot of them on the plate. I also ordered a Strawberry Marshmallow Milkshake - described as having vanilla ice cream, strawberry jam, marshmallow and cookie crumbs. It was served in a very tall glass with a lot of extra leftovers in another tin cup. I really enjoyed it and could taste the strawberry flavor. The cookie crumbs were on the rim. The only negative, is that the paper straws they offered just was not working for me - I ended up with 3 straws in my cup. You know the feeling you get when it seems like the straw has a rip or tear - that is what it felt like when I used it (even though there wasn't a rip/tear in it) - strange. I think I just needed a much sturdier straw. I also got a Strawberry Lemonade to have with my meal. At first sip and second sip, I did not like this drink. Somehow, I could not taste the Lemonade, nor the Strawberry - not sure I would get that drink again. I may just stick to juice next time. Overall, I would go back.

Did you ever experience Deja Vu? That means you felt like you had been somewhere before? Well, I had no idea when I made the reservation, but I had been to this restaurant when it was owned by Brian Voltagio. I will say The Showroom stands on its own two feet. The food was fabulous. The service was great. The prices were very good. So, let's get into the details. We started off with deviled eggs. They were fabulous. The eggs were creamy, well seasoned, and the addition of bacon bits only added to our eating pleasure. My friend enjoyed a matcha martini, which looked beautiful and she really liked the flavor. It was a really unique take on a matcha cocktail. I ordered the fried chicken which came with chive biscuits and pickled vegetables. Let me tell you that chicken was down home delightful. The perfectly fried skin and moist tender meat inside was scrumptious. I loved the taste of the chive biscuits too. And, there were 4 pieces of chicken in my order! : 0 Yum! One friend got the fried chicken sandwich and she added a kale Caesar salad. She loved the salad and liked the sandwich too. Another, friend got the chicken and waffles and she enjoyed her meal. So, great food, good service, and generous portions. I would definitely stop by and savor a delicious meal.

You can tell this is a staple in Frederick because it was booked and busy inside! Service was fairly quick, our waitress as helpful and informative. They have a variety of food on the menu, which is great if you don't know if you want breakfast or lunch.

Before entering, you will not have any issue finding a parking space. Upon entering, you will find yourself inside a modern contemporary decorated restaurant. It was crowded with slight wait time. The background noise was about medium level, which you and your party can carry a conversation. The service was good, not overly attentive nor neglected. Food and drinks were prepared within timely manners. The portion of each was aplenty. All of us were satisfied with the food. All the food was scrumptious for sure. The guacamole on my toast was fresh. The pricing was reasonable, nothing crazy expensive nor cheap. The checkout process was easy. I did online pay by scanning QR code. Overall, it was enjoyable, it gets a 4.7 out of 5.

I visited last weekend for lunch on a Friday. It was my first time here and I was solo so I sat at the bar. I started with their hazy ipa beer which was tasty. I ordered the chicken salad blt sandwich and upgraded to onion rings for an additional charge. The bartender wasn't great at multitasking when it was only me and one other couple at the bar. My food sat in the window forever before someone brought it to me. The sandwich wasn't bad but it fell all over the place while trying to eat it. The order came with three onion rings which were the most heavily battered onion rings I ever had. That wasn't a good thing. I assumed with paying several extra dollars for them it would come with the bacon Horseradish sauce that they are served with on the appetizer menu. I had to ask for it. My dirty plate with the napkins on top sat in front of me for a bit before the bartender figured out I was ready to go. I wasn't that impressed and probably won't be back.

While visiting Frederick, MD for a meeting, I stopped in here for lunch. Since it was just me, I sat at the bar rather than a table. Getting there on a weekday around 11AM, they were pretty busy, but the bar was wide open. Their menu is very interesting and creative. Asking the bartender what was popular, he gave me many suggestions, so I went with their Nashville Chicken Sandwich with a side of onion rings. The food was made fresh, hot, and quick. The onion rings were huge! Thick and they had an amazing batter on them which resembled the flavor of a hush puppy to me. It came with their horseradish bacon dipping sauce and that sauce was very nice with them. The chicken sandwich was substantial in size and had very tasty, freshly made pickles on it. The bread was incredible and flavorful. The chicken looked and tasted great, but didn't have much heat at all to it. I definitely liked it a lot though. Overall - great meal... Highly recommend stopping in... I'll definitely be back!

summary: after a long day of travel, we stopped by for brunch before continuing on the road and what a great spot to stumble on. All of the food was delicious and the service was great. I love breakfast foods, so I feel like I have a pretty critical view on brunch spots. The Showroom was great from beginning to end though. The service was very friendly and the decor was modern, clean, and sleek. The vibe was casual, but seems like a great brunch spot for parties. As far as the food goes, this is where I was blown away. The chicken and waffles was delicious. My only complaint is that I feel like one piece of chicken wasn't enough! My gripe with chicken and waffles most of the time is that the chicken feels dry, but that was not an issue here. It was cooked perfectly with a nice crisp. All of the sauces that it comes with were great and well-balanced. The salad with shrimp was phenomenal as well. Whatever is going on in that kitchen is fantastic. Overall, a must-stop whether you're into brunch spots or not. I'm excited to try out some of their other options because I'll definitely be back.

Stopped into True Standard Distilling during the Frederick St. Patty's Day bar crawl and the place was absolutely buzzing all day. As a rum distillery, everything on the cocktail menu leans rum which makes things interesting, especially when they remix classics that usually feature other spirits. I tried their take on a negroni and it was surprisingly really well done. It kept that familiar bitter and balanced profile but with a unique rum twist that made it stand out. The interior was unexpected but in a good way. They were still fully committed to a Valentine's Day theme with pink everywhere and a massive faux chocolate candy wall right when you walk in. I appreciated how family-friendly this place was, they give these cute little animal boxes with different things inside and crayons to keep the kids entertained. The decoration is fun with a lot of outdoor vibes and stuffed real animals. They bring out a side of chip and a yogurt dill dip that's interesting, a fun idea. The food, mhm so we ordered a lot! Crab dip: 2.5/5 not too bad but not memorable, okay amount of crab, flavors were too heavy on the cream cheese/fillers but just okay, they need more bread with it but the chips helped. Prob wouldn't order again Crab cake: 3.8/5 pretty good size and good amount of crab and good flavor probably the best dish that we had ordered here! Would get again. Burger: 3/5 granted I did order this medium well for my kid, but the burger was charred a little too much around the burger, giving it a sort of dry crunch on the edges and charcoal burn vibes. Not my favorite texture that I would want on a burger, but perhaps it would've been different if I ordered a medium? Bread itself was a little stale/crunchy which I did not prefer how it was cooked/prepared. Overall, it was just okay. Ribs: 2.5/5 the ribs were half off ribs so I decided to go for it because of the good deal. But it was just okay, being that Blackhog barbecue is right next-door (thier dry rub ribs are amazing), I would hope that they would step up their barbecue rib game. For a " full rack" there were only nine bones and seemed a little smaller than what I'm used to. It's very heavy on the sauce which I didn't think was the best pairing and wasn't the best flavor bbq sauce. Overall, I wouldn't order it again. Steak kabob: 3.2/5 this was actually pretty tender for the cut of meat, I'm surprised that I didn't have to work for it so I was happy about that! The only criticism that we have is that the meat itself did not have that much flavor or seasoning and there's only one skewer of meat and one skewer of veggies. Meaning the total amount of meat that was probably on that dish was no more than 4 -5 ounces of steak. And for that price point, I would want a little bit more meat. Mac and Cheese: 3.5/5 pretty good for a kids Mac! Good cheese and flavor was impressed! Overall, the service and the host in the experience of being there was pretty good, but the food was a little lacking not sure if I would go again, but it was on our right experience in terms of food
