The kale Caesar salad was also just ok could have used some shaved Parmesan although I did order it with chicken and that was cooked perfectly. we we a large group so we did expect it to take time for our order but one person ordered a braised cabbage salad the waiter informed is that there was a problem and they had to make it again said it would be an extra 10 min. offered a side free of charge for the inconvenience. It took more like 15 or more min. she got her entree and we were all finished eating. The service was good. read more

We have gotten together with our big family before and the staff has been wonderful and made the experience very pleasant. This time I got some women together to celebrate my niece's upcoming wedding. The staff was amazing. Our reservation was ready for us and comfortable for the chilly morning. Our waitress (Gabby) was the best. She was attentive, patient, helpful, and made the experience really nice. All the staff worked together in a positive, friendly way. We've eaten at Showroom a number of times (I'd estimate four) and following our last attempt, I have to post a negative review. The food is good! The service here absolutely sucks. There is always a wait, even if you have a reservation. It is always a struggle to get your server's attention. The food is always slow coming out. It is always slow trying to pay. We came here with friends last weekend before noon. One of the outdoor tables was filled and several tables inside were open. Our friends were told there would be a three hour wait. We tried to call twice to confirm and never got through to anyone, just received a message that 'our staff are busy on the other line'. We went somewhere else. It's a shame because the food is good! It isn't a "bad" review by any means, but the food was a bit more average than I've come to expect from this group. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly our server, Nate. He was highly professional and truly everything anyone could ask for in a server. The level of hospitality he provided helped elevate the afternoon into a very pleasant experience. While the meal was enjoyable, the food felt somewhat average compared to the high bar set by Voltaggio's other spots: * Nashville Hot Chicken ($15.00): Ordered with a side of Napalm Sauce and substituted fries for chips ($3.00). In my opinion, it could have been a bit hotter had it been made to order. * Showroom Steak and Cheese ($19.00): A solid centerpiece to the meal. * Drinks: We paired the meal with a Riesling ($11.00) and an East Street Old Fashioned ($15.00). The total for the meal came to $81.07, including a $13.51 tip for Nate's stellar service. Overall, a pretty good experience. I was looking for a decent brunch spot in Frederick and showroom came up as a good option. Came in on a Sunday and it was pretty packed. Usually a good sign that the food is tasty to have people lining up to get in. It was just a short wait until we were able to be seated. The service was great. the waiter came over and let us know that he would be a minute because he was serving a large party. He did drop off menus and water. They put an entire bottle of water so you are free to serve yourself and refill as many times as You need. For an appetizer, we ordered the pot pie fritters. They were kind of like hush puppies stuffed with chicken and vegetables. The breading was interesting because it was actually Ritz crackers. It was very good and a different flavor than I'm used to. For my meal, I chose the chicken and waffles. My only complaint was that the chicken was not seasoned very much. However, it was moist inside and crispy on the outside. The waffle was cooked perfectly. But they did not include butter with it, though you can eat it without. It was all drizzled with a small amount of honey as well. The best part was their hot sauce. It reminded me a little bit of Frank's red heart, but it had a sweet flavor to it. I usually steer clear of the super hot hots. So, it was right up my alley. To rinse everything down I ordered the mimosa flight. It came with four 8 ounce pours so I was able to sample all of their different varieties. They had a traditional orange, a pineapple, a cranberry, and a cider. The cider one pretty much tasted like a sparkling cider. I think my favorite one was the traditional orange. My husband and I visited this restaurant this morning, on October 24th 2026, and our experience was extremely disappointing and deeply concerning. After being seated, I had to flag down a waiter just to get coffee. An employee eventually came to our table, took our entire food and beverage order, and only returned with tea for me. We continued waiting for our coffee and food. Approximately 15 minutes later, a white couple came into the restaurant and was seated. They received their coffee promptly and their food while my husband and I were STILL waiting for our order. Let me be clear: We were seated first, our order was taken, and we were waiting to be served. Customers who arrived after us received their coffee and food before we did. As an African American woman, I found this experience extremely upsetting and humiliating. Unfortunately, this is the SECOND time I have experienced this type of treatment at this restaurant. At this point, I cannot help but question whether African American customers are being treated differently from white customers. The difference in service was noticeable, and the circumstances were concerning. This is not about expecting special treatment. It is about expecting EQUAL treatment, basic courtesy, and respect. My husband and I are paying customers. We deserve the same attention and quality of service as everyone else. We should not have to sit and watch other customers who arrive after us receive their orders while we are ignored. I consider this a serious concern involving suspected racial discrimination, and I intend to contact corporate on Monday to formally report this incident and request an investigation. No customer should have to wonder whether their race is the reason they are receiving inferior service. I am extremely disappointed that this has happened to me twice. Management needs to take a serious look at how customers are being treated and ensure that everyone receives equal and respectful service. A group of four chose Showroom this past Saturday evening to enjoy a rare night out to relax and enjoy good food. We were seated promptly at our reserved time but had to wait awhile for menus. The restaurant was at about half capacity with several empty tables in our section. Our drinks came rather quickly and the waitress was friendly while taking our order. Unfortunately, this was the last time we saw our waitress for more than thirty minutes. Our drink glasses sat empty as we awaited her return. When she did reappear, she apologized, saying that another table had been talking to her. She did refill our drinks but it was another half an hour before our food arrived at our table (a full hour after the order was placed). The food quality was mixed. While the flavors were tasty, some portions were warm and some nearly cold. The staff seemed disorganized and confused as they gathered around the kitchen window. Everything on their menu sounded delicious, but I ended up going with the hot chicken sandwich with fries and I was very impressed. The chicken was decently spicy, but it did need a little bit of salt. The sandwich had a huge piece of chicken in it so I appreciate them not skimping. Their fries OMG - might actually be top 3 fries I've ever had. They were crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. It had some seasoning on it with old bay and salt. The mac and cheese was also delicious and I'm usually not a fan of restaurant mac and cheese. The service was decent. My waitress was a little slow but it was fine I wasn't in a rush. Came here with some friends. It was my first time going there. Parking is plentiful (the area is shared by others, but there are still many spots available). At first glance at the menu, I did not know what to order as there were many items I was interested in. I eventually settled on the following: Breakfast Sandwich - menu describes it as scrambled eggs with cheddar, bacon, avocado, and made on a choice of brioche bun, white, rye, or wheat. The dish is served with breakfast potatoes. There are some extra items on the menu for this meal, but next time I'll need to get proper clarification on it. The sandwich was great even though my eggs surely did not look scrambled. I would get it again, but maybe on a different type of bread. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly and there were a lot of them on the plate. I also ordered a Strawberry Marshmallow Milkshake - described as having vanilla ice cream, strawberry jam, marshmallow and cookie crumbs. It was served in a very tall glass with a lot of extra leftovers in another tin cup. I really enjoyed it and could taste the strawberry flavor. The cookie crumbs were on the rim. The only negative, is that the paper straws they offered just was not working for me - I ended up with 3 straws in my cup. You know the feeling you get when it seems like the straw has a rip or tear - that is what it felt like when I used it (even though there wasn't a rip/tear in it) - strange. I think I just needed a much sturdier straw. I also got a Strawberry Lemonade to have with my meal. At first sip and second sip, I did not like this drink. The eggs were creamy, well seasoned, and the addition of bacon bits only added to our eating pleasure. My friend enjoyed a matcha martini, which looked beautiful and she really liked the flavor. We were a party of six for brunch yesterday, celebrating two very special milestones: a 50th birthday and my father-in-law's retirement after 60 years. We wanted a memorable place to mark the occasion and chose Showroom. I even noted both celebrations when making our reservation a week in advance. The hostess was friendly and kind, although clearer direction on where to wait would have helped. The front entrance was congested, and we felt like we were in everyone's way. Unfortunately, the service never matched the occasion. Our server never introduced themselves or acknowledged either celebration. They began taking orders without any engagement, and throughout the meal we were repeatedly unable to get their attention. I understand Sunday brunch is busy, but I work in a concierge-driven environment and was genuinely disappointed by the lack of hospitality. The food was mixed. The chicken and waffles and the omelet were good. My husband's steak was cold and the portion was very small. He ordered French fries but received unseasoned potatoes that lacked any flavor. My fish and chips were fine but also lacked seasoning, lemon, or any attention to detail. I specifically requested fries without Old Bay but received fries heavily coated in it. We also ordered a steak and eggs meal to go, which took about 30 minutes. When it was opened later, it contained only three small slices of steak. My brother-in-law genuinely thought he had been given someone's leftovers because the portion was so disappointing. My husband quietly paid the $300 bill while I still hoped someone might acknowledge the birthday or retirement with a simple mention, smile, or thank you. It never happened. We were never even offered a desert menu. We left without a goodbye or any acknowledgment from the staff. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe how we felt. While visiting Frederick, MD for a meeting, I stopped in here for lunch. Since it was just me, I sat at the bar rather than a table. Getting there on a weekday around 11AM, they were pretty busy, but the bar was wide open. Their menu is very interesting and creative. Asking the bartender what was popular, he gave me many suggestions, so I went with their Nashville Chicken Sandwich with a side of onion rings. The food was made fresh, hot, and quick. The onion rings were huge! Thick and they had an amazing batter on them which resembled the flavor of a hush puppy to me. It came with their horseradish bacon dipping sauce and that sauce was very nice with them. The chicken sandwich was substantial in size and had very tasty, freshly made pickles on it. The bread was incredible and flavorful. The chicken looked and tasted great, but didn't have much heat at all to it. I definitely liked it a lot though. Overall - great meal... This dining experience was selected by the man, who after hearing me mention that they served shrimp & grits, decided we would make this our stop in Frederick after we visited another attraction on a Friday morning. My gentleman companion ordered the Chef's Breakfast which was comprised of 2 eggs (cooked your way), bacon, sausage, toast with butter and jelly, and fried potatoes. That was a WHOLE plate of food right there. My dish was phenomenal. Everything I was wanting and more. He thoroughly enjoyed his selection and both our plates were nearly wiped clean! Before we left, we agreed we will be returning. This is a freestanding building in the middle of a paved parking lot, so plenty of space to park. I did not visit the restrooms but I have to think they were as sparkling clean as the front of the restaurant. I was told this building used to be a car dealership showroom, hence the name. I'm not sure what the owner was going for but the vibe I got was 'contemporary but classic elevated diner experience' where the environment was contemporary and classic and the menu was definitely the most-welcome (to us) elevated diner experience.
