Baby Back Ribs

A friend was in town for the holidays so a few of us got together to hang out before she returned home. It was my first visit to any Firebirds location and overall a good experience. The waiters were attentive and friendly. The place was clean, not noisy and had a cozy dinner ambiance. As for the food, I enjoyed the baby back ribs dinner. We also ordered the chicken pasta which was too salty. Complimentary bread is always a plus. All in all, not bad and pretty on par with similar establishments.

Another stop my family and I made while traveling this summer was to Firebirds. It's a beautiful space indoors with plenty of free outdoor parking available. Most of us enjoyed our meal. The food was fresh and generous portions were provided. The burgers were seasoned well. The steak was well-done rather than medium well and that was highly disappointing because it was not what we asked for. I also really enjoyed the dessert. Service was okay. The restrooms were nice and clean.

Charred carrots, vegetables, baked potato

I highly recommend this restaurant if you have special dietary needs. After I placed my vegetarian & GF order with my excellent server Jacob, a manager came over to my table to inform me that the port mushroom side dish contained beef broth. So, I ended up with an entree of mixed vegetables, a plain baked potato, and charred carrots. I appreciate that the server and management care about allergies and dietary needs. The charred carrots are SO delicious and made the entire entree tasty. I wish Firebirds would open a restaurant in Northern NJ; preferably in Paramus.

The food was delicious. Our waiter, Jake, was phenomenal. He made sure he recommended amazing brunch options, as well as main menu favorites were explained. The environment and total ambiance were great. Will surely return.

This was my first time trying out Firebirds. I took my girlfriend out for her birthday and this is where she decided to go. They were a little busy when we got there but sat us after about 10 mins. It's a bit small on the inside but they do have a private party room that is quite large. She ordered one of their signifiers cocktails and it was very good. The bread they serve before the meal was also very good with the butter they provide. My meal was a 10 out of 10 with the aged ribeye with baked potato (the freshly graded cheese is a nice touch). They went above and beyond for my gf's birthday bringing out a card signed by the entire staff and a complimentary piece of cheesecake. Can't wait to come back.

Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich

The server was so kind and greeted us warmly and maintained eye contact which is such a lost skill nowadays. The manager came by and asked how we were doing and she was super sweet as well. The food was delicious! I had the shrimp and grits. The sauce was perfect and the shrimp was also seasoned to perfection. The only thing I didn't like were the tomatoes but overall 8.5/10. My boyfriend had the hot honey sandwich and he loved it. He took a bite into and we realized that it had two chicken patties and got hyped lmao. The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms. The ambiance was calm and family friendly. If we are ever in the area again we'll be back!

May very well be the best fine dining in Fredrick. I have zero complaints about the experience. I had the red wine flight and after the flight I asked for one of the wines for a "2nd" glass... Alas! They did not have enough! ...So the staff did what I would do: They offered me a much pricier wine at the same cost. This is doing your customer right. Also, we had a dozen oysters and when we finished we realized we were one short! ha ha! Well... we showed the waiter the shells and he said: Would you like the 12th oyster or for us to comp the selection. We got the 12th oyster... Just offering to comp us was nice. However, all that aside: The food is EXCELLENT, same with the wine and the service...!

We went at 4:30pm on a Sunday night when it wasn't too busy. Our waiter was very nice and came frequently to our table to check on us and asking if we needed anything. You can also make reservations online. Since the restaurant is located in a mountain area, I had no reception or internet. All the dishes we had were pretty good. They start you with warm complementary bread with butter. The filet mignon was our favorite dish with soft meat and mashed potatoes. The sauce was a little sour to complement the meat. The linguini in the seafood linguine was cooked soft so it's good for little kids, but if you would like it more al dente, you'll probably have to let them know. There were 3 mussels, 2 scallops and several shrimp all cooked well. The green beans were cooked so they were still crunchy. Some of mine were a bit too undercooked for me. There as a good amount of meat in the veal and pork bolognese over pappardelle. The noodle were cooked well and long. The Maryland crab soup was part of the daily dinner special. Wish there was more crab in the Maryland crab soup since I saw a lot of vegetables. It was pretty spicy which wasn't noted on the menu. The crème brûlée was cooked very well. Crispy sugar top and creamy inside.

While the garlic sauce was generous and delicious, the quality of the mussels themselves was disappointing. They were all open, but they had that "off" taste associated with older seafood. * The Main: Things turned around completely with the pork tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly and paired with a very flavorful sauce. Highly recommended! * The Dessert: Finished with the coconut cake. It was incredibly moist--perhaps a touch too sweet for my personal preference, but tasty enough that I'd definitely order it again. Overall, a great find with just a minor hiccup on the seafood. We'll be back!

Highly recommend getting the "Ring of Fire" -- it literally comes out on fire and tastes amazing. We'll definitely be back, especially to check out their happy hour prices!

We were immediately sat and placed an order for Bao buns. These were very good - only the "meat marinade sauce" on these - usually there is a mayo type as well. An order comes with 3 just as a heads up. We also ordered two rolls: Poseidon and Fire. They were both fried rolls but very good. The fire ball one is served with a liquor that is lit on fire which is cool - but it leaves behind an off-putting taste afterwards. Poseidon was very good with shrimp and crab and served with spicy mayo. For my main entree - I got the pork tonkotsu ramen. Standard - it was good and it comes with a full egg rather than one half like many other places. Our server was very good and attentive. Overall a solid meal and a must-try if you're a fan of Asian cuisine.

Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. The restaurant itself feels like an old house converted into a cozy dining space, giving it a relaxed, family-dinner vibe that's hard to find these days. The food? Incredible. They had fried calamari on the menu, but we asked if they could grill it instead--and they happily did. It came out perfectly tender and delicious. The linguini with white clam sauce tasted exactly like something an Italian grandma would make--simple, comforting, and deeply authentic. And the Veal Massi with fresh mozzarella? Absolutely out of this world. Rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this gem in Frederick!

We took a table in the rear enclosed patio area near the bar. To start we ordered the meatball sliders. Two come with an order and they were good. I liked the toasted slider rolls, the tangy sauce and the spiciness of the meatball. Recommend cutting it in half to eat it without it flying out of the roll. Overall a good start. I ordered the gnocchi primavera which really wasn't in the traditional sense - as the vegetables were puréed together into an orange sauce. Had a good flavor and was served with burrata. Starters and entrees came out very close to each other which wasn't a bad thing. We also added a margherita pizza to share which looked weird - but tasted great. Nice crisp to the crust and thin. I usually think of a doughier crust with this kind of pizza but still good. Dessert was the fudge cake - rich in flavor, adding a coffee. Overall - would have loved to sit inside and get that experience but still good considering we didn't have a reservation. Our waiter - younger guy out back we good, though at times we leaned on the other bartender to help get refills.

Turned out to be a very memorable first visit. We found this restaurant after using Google Gemini…read moreto find "Authentic German Food" when we arrived in the parking lot, we saw the chefs sitting outside taking a breather next to where we'd parked, but thought nothing of it at first. It was our first year of dating anniversary but we failed to notice when looking the place up that they closed at 7:30pm. We walked in at about 7:40pm and the bartender regretfully informed us that they had just closed. We accepted the situation for the error it was on our part and opted to go elsewhere. So barely 3 minutes after walking up to the entrance, we were heading back to our truck. The chefs were still there and immediately asked us why we weren't staying to eat. When we explained that we hadn't realized they closed at 7:30, they looked at us and said, "Go back in there and tell them we said we're still open for you guys." We were a bit concerned that we'd cause hard feelings and said we could just come back a different day, and they wouldn't have it. "We're the guys who'll be cooking, not them, if we're okay with it, then what have you got to lose?" We looked at each other and thought briefly and headed back up to the entrance. I had mentioned that I had a spur of the moment 'hankerin' for German Food, and he said, "Well, you're at the right place!" Before we got back in the front door, one of the chefs (we learned shortly after were the owners) was already letting the bar staff know to get us seated and taken care of. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I ordered the Pork Schnitzel. We of course sampled each others' dishes and it was beyond amazing on both entrees. Some of the best schnitzel I've had NOT in Europe, and the mushroom onion gravy was so savory and rich. The Chicken was loaded with flavor and I could definitely see that being on a future order for myself. After we were beyond stuffed, we decided to split a dessert for the occasion and had the Chocolate Mousse Cake. When the bartender learned it was our first anniversary, she made sure to get a candle to put in the cake for us, it was a very nice and welcoming touch. The bar staff was on their game with the service, keeping drinks full and checking on us frequently to make sure we were good to go. There were only two other tables still seated in the restaurant at that point, and they were actually there already eating when we first arrived. They were still there when we departed, so we assumed they may have been family friends or locally important patrons. The ambiance of the restaurant has a very British Pub feel to it, and it is so amazingly cozy and feels like home. We both left with an amazing impression and cannot wait for another chance to try some of the other menu options. I'm very curious to try the Filet Mignon next time, but the Stroganoff looked quite tempting as well. I think we both found a place that we'll absolutely keep on the short list of places to revisit next time we're in town. It was such a memorable experience and we so greatly appreciated the flexibility and hospitality they demonstrated. That type of service is so hard to find these days. Beyond that, I REALLY want to try those Eclairs on a Thursday!
