I liked this place a lot! There's good ramen options and sushi options. The restaurant had soft music and is very pretty and we really liked the staff! We had a great conversation about Maryland sushi restaurants. My only critique is they could offer more vegetarian or vegan sushi rolls but we'll definitely be back!

Just a little off the main path near Westview in Frederick is this hidden gem of a sushi joint. I've only been here once for takeout, but I was already happily impressed. The menu is as expected with traditional style sashimi, nigiri and maki rolls, as well as your favorite bento boxes and donburi for those folks who love full meals with plenty to eat. Expect some great dishes here and reasonable prices compared to the eateries down near DC. However, the quality is not sacrificed! The decor is fresh and modern, the parking is easy, and the staff are friendly. I didn't try everything, just some rolls and seaweed salad, but, they were great. I will be back here again!

Solid Sushi dining experience. Food was fantastic, with the staff giving awesome service. Great decor with cool vibe. I had Spicy Tuna and Spicy Shrimp rolls with a small house salad and thoroughly enjoyed it at the Sushi bar.

This place has excellent service even on a very busy rush hour Friday night! They accommodated our seating request (someone in our original corner was too loud so we moved to the bar) and were very prompt with the rest of our evening order! Food was delicious! Highly recommend!

Such a hidden gem. Food was tasty and had lots of options to choose from bento boxes, soups, sushi rolls, udon etc. I ordered the spicy crab and shrimp tempura roll, spicy crab was yummy but the shrimp tempura was a bit dry but that's on me for not ordering more sauce on the side. My husband ordered a bulgogi bento box and asahi beer, it was all pretty savory. Would come back as the ambience was calming and the service was great as well. Overall great experience.

I came when they opened in 2023, and this was my second time. Glad to see they are thriving. The menu is more attractive, especially Bento Box is fun because you can customize it. Will come back soon.

Stopped in for some good food based on Yelp reviews while in Frederick for work, and it was delicious! Tucked away in a small shopping strip, this place is a hidden treasure. The menu is great with ramen, sushi and sashimi, tempura, and rice bowl options. I chose the bento box with teriyaki chicken, tossed salad with ginger dressing, gyoza, miso soup, and my choice of roll - spicy tuna. I also got the shishito peppers because they are some of my favs. My choice of beverage was a Kirin, but they had plenty sake options, wine options, and Sapporo. The ambiance is intimate but modern. Had a nice patio as well, but I visited during over 100 degree weather. The view of the kitchen and sushi making is wonderful. Staff was incredibly kind and attentive. I would say this is a place to take your time and enjoy the atmosphere, your company (even if it's yourself), and your food. Have a little patience and just soak it in. The spicy tuna roll was on point! The rest was great too, and I left with enough for lunch tomorrow. I will definitely return when in town for work!

Never disappointed coming here! Staff are friendly and attentive. Food choices, since they opened, have expanded! From their tapas selections, ramen bowls, donburi, and sushi rolls you will get your fill. Sushi is fresh, ramen noodles cooked to perfection. Ambience is great!! Will always be coming here!

Every time my husband and I visit to eat here we have a great experience. We typically have lunch but we tried dinner on a Friday evening. We were looking for something a little more quiet than downtown. The customer service was great and the food was even better.

Came here on a quiet Sunday and the vibes are so smooth in here! The decor and ambiance are so chic and modern. I was immediately greeted and served a water. I order The Volcano Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll and Hamachi Kama. The flavor in this food was excellent! I loved the spicy tuna because the fish was so fresh and light. It was minced tuna, so I would have liked a little more cucumber to add some crunch. The volcano roll was a unique twist with the baked crab over top of the sushi rolls in a beautiful presentation. Lastly the hamachi was PERFECT! The fish was cooked to a tender bite with the perfect thin crisp to the outside! Yum! The service here is impeccable. Very polite staff, refilled my water at the perfect time, and left the pitcher on the table. They came and checked on my throughout my meal. They set the standard for customer service. Definitely will be returning

We visited Sushi Nomu for lunch today and the food was delicious. On their menu is a selection of sushi and ramen dishes. I ordered the spicy crab roll and the Tonkatsu ramen and both items were out of this world good. The best ramen and sushi I've had in awhile. The service is quick and friendly. The ambiance is clean, quiet, calm and they had very stylish and updated decor. Definitely would love to visit here again in the future.

Found my go-to sushi place here! First I've notice is that the staff was so nice and welcoming. The place was nicely decorated as well! Now to the food, I absolutely loved it! Everything was fresh and they give you big portions. I was surprised at how thick their sashimi is compared to a few places I've been to in this area. I've been here twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. Both experience was very nice and will definitely continue to come back!

Our party of four sampled a wine flight, a delicious cocktail called the "Gone Girl," and two local beers. Everything was excellent. We had barely taken a few sips before our table was ready. We were seated by the window, which was perfect because the natural light made the space feel bright and inviting. The service was stellar and the restaurant runs like a well-oiled machine. We had four different staff members taking care of us, the hostess, bartender, our server, and manager who kept the table spotless by clearing plates and refreshing silverware between courses. We started with the dill pickle hummus, which was a vibrant green hummus infused with fresh dill pickle flavor and chickpeas, served with a generous helping of fried falafel balls. It was unique and absolutely delicious. For entrees, our group had a great mix. The mushroom strudel came with a lovely side salad and was buttery, warm, earthy, and full of flavor. Two diners chose the smash burgers with beef tallow fries, which were a big hit. A big standout was the KBBBQ riblet with fries, a substantial boneless BBQ rib slab that got rave reviews. The Wine Kitchen definitely has it going on. Great food, great drinks, and outstanding service. A perfect spot for a celebration!

You can also make reservations online. Since the restaurant is located in a mountain area, I had no reception or internet. All the dishes we had were pretty good. They start you with warm complementary bread with butter. The filet mignon was our favorite dish with soft meat and mashed potatoes. The sauce was a little sour to complement the meat. The linguini in the seafood linguine was cooked soft so it's good for little kids, but if you would like it more al dente, you'll probably have to let them know. There were 3 mussels, 2 scallops and several shrimp all cooked well. The green beans were cooked so they were still crunchy. Some of mine were a bit too undercooked for me. There as a good amount of meat in the veal and pork bolognese over pappardelle. The noodle were cooked well and long. The Maryland crab soup was part of the daily dinner special. Wish there was more crab in the Maryland crab soup since I saw a lot of vegetables. It was pretty spicy which wasn't noted on the menu. The crème brûlée was cooked very well. It was cooked perfectly and paired with a very flavorful sauce. Highly recommended! * The Dessert: Finished with the coconut cake. I ordered the gnocchi primavera which really wasn't in the traditional sense - as the vegetables were puréed together into an orange sauce. Had a good flavor and was served with burrata. Starters and entrees came out very close to each other which wasn't a bad thing. We also added a margherita pizza to share which looked weird - but tasted great. Nice crisp to the crust and thin. It was our first year of dating anniversary but we failed to notice when looking the place up that they closed at 7:30pm. We walked in at about 7:40pm and the bartender regretfully informed us that they had just closed. We accepted the situation for the error it was on our part and opted to go elsewhere. So barely 3 minutes after walking up to the entrance, we were heading back to our truck. The chefs were still there and immediately asked us why we weren't staying to eat. When we explained that we hadn't realized they closed at 7:30, they looked at us and said, "Go back in there and tell them we said we're still open for you guys." We were a bit concerned that we'd cause hard feelings and said we could just come back a different day, and they wouldn't have it. "We're the guys who'll be cooking, not them, if we're okay with it, then what have you got to lose?" We looked at each other and thought briefly and headed back up to the entrance. I had mentioned that I had a spur of the moment 'hankerin' for German Food, and he said, "Well, you're at the right place!" Before we got back in the front door, one of the chefs (we learned shortly after were the owners) was already letting the bar staff know to get us seated and taken care of. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I ordered the Pork Schnitzel. We of course sampled each others' dishes and it was beyond amazing on both entrees. Some of the best schnitzel I've had NOT in Europe, and the mushroom onion gravy was so savory and rich. The Chicken was loaded with flavor and I could definitely see that being on a future order for myself. After we were beyond stuffed, we decided to split a dessert for the occasion and had the Chocolate Mousse Cake. When the bartender learned it was our first anniversary, she made sure to get a candle to put in the cake for us, it was a very nice and welcoming touch. The bar staff was on their game with the service, keeping drinks full and checking on us frequently to make sure we were good to go. There were only two other tables still seated in the restaurant at that point, and they were actually there already eating when we first arrived. They were still there when we departed, so we assumed they may have been family friends or locally important patrons. The ambiance of the restaurant has a very British Pub feel to it, and it is so amazingly cozy and feels like home. We both left with an amazing impression and cannot wait for another chance to try some of the other menu options. I'm very curious to try the Filet Mignon next time, but the Stroganoff looked quite tempting as well. I think we both found a place that we'll absolutely keep on the short list of places to revisit next time we're in town. It was such a memorable experience and we so greatly appreciated the flexibility and hospitality they demonstrated. That type of service is so hard to find these days. Beyond that, I REALLY want to try those Eclairs on a Thursday!

The service is a hit or a miss depending on who you get, sometimes great and sometimes a bit slow. But not horrible. The food. So this is known for their ramen. I think that their ramen is solid, not amazing but good. Decent broth flavor and good chew in the noodles, I personally prefer a hotter broth, but it comes out slighter warmer than room temp (not my fav, but still good). The Chashu is usually good most of the time, tender and not too chewy, there was a few times that it was meh, but most of the time it's good! The ramen, 3.5/5 The Izakaya part. The yakitori is lacking. The chicken thigh should be the most tender and flavorful but it was so dry (how can you mess up dark meat?) and lacked depth in flavor. Chicken 1.5/5 The US Wagyu is mediocre. You can tell that it's US cause it's tough. Sometimes it's tender and great and other times it's a bit tough. Steak 3/5 The sushi. Mhm, the sushi is so expensive a bit overpriced doe what you get, and I'm not sure if it's worth it. Their special rolls are ~ $20 range, but the size of the roll is about the same as their "standard rolls" seems not worth that premium price. Usually at most sushi places their special rolls are larger in size and makes it worth paying more for. Even their standard nirgri prices are double than most places. I have gotten a variety of rolls over the years and it's honestly just okay. Good sushi, but small and super overpriced. 3/5
