I had waited and I wanted a table. The woman just turned and walked back to her seat at the bar. No apology (though she saw what happened), no indication of making it right. The hostess appeared annoyed but not apologetic and said nothing. I ended up leaving because the people there made us feel so unwanted - blatantly and boldly so. So if you're POC or visibly queer, skip this place.

Sometimes there is a bit of confusion when the person who delivers the food was not the same one that took the order -- the food sometimes being taken to the wrong table. The grill master is the one major variable when I order burgers. For one thing, I usually do not get the advertised full discount for the Wednesday night special. Things like cheese and add-ons can run up the burger a bit, but there always seems to be an automatic charge for cheese (either $1 or $2 up-charge) which I do not order. That is why I say I usually don't get the full advertised discount. Aside from that, there is wide variation in how the meat is cooked. "Medium" one night can be "Medium rare" or "Well-done" depending on the person on the grill. You best not order it "Well-done" unless you want to risk it being dry and crispy. The tacos are always excellent. Grilled or fried, either way is a diner's delight. The sauce has a nice burn without being too spicy. The two-taco meal may be enough for most diners with the three-taco portion being quite enough to satisfy. As far as putting Memories Charcoal House on my dining list, I will continue to patronize the establishment for its friendly atmosphere, cordial staff and wide variety of menu items.

First time visiting the Twin Arch Tavern 12/3020- Had a family group of 5. Service was quick and friendly. Food was diverse and awesome. I had the Rockfish dinner special and the fish was done perfectly (which is hard to do for Rockfish) Someone had the Crab Pizza and it was great also. Price was moderate but the food was very good! This place is part of the Francesco Illiano network. Dude stole money while at Greene Turtle years ago and was exposed as a bad guy. He did not learn his lesson. He now was forced to plead guilty for stealing $1.7 million in tax dollars from his workers but never remitted to the authorities. If you spend money here you are supporting thievery. read more
