The burger of the day. (Can't. Recall the name) very delicious

Super impressed by Oscar's Ale house. Came here after my nieces graduation to get some food after a long ceremony. Had their burger of the day special however I can't remember what it was called but nonetheless it was very delicious. Cooked the way I wanted it, medium rare with the pink center. Fries were very good, nice and home cut. And the service was very good. This place had a very country, very saloon like feel. Highly recommend this Oscars Ale house for great food.

Food was great. Thanks to yelp we found this place. Service was great. Tons of beer choices too! Great burger and side salad. Husband had chicken piccata special with asparagus. Fantastic!!!! Don't let location in a run down strip mall turn you away. Head on in! I'm glad we did

Blackened chicken on the burger bun (must request the bun) with a side salad. Very good.

Dined in for lunch today with a table of ten! Waitress was on point with the orders and split the check up without issues! Ambiance is always nice and service is always good!

Discounted burgers on a Monday with the option to upgrade your side to onion rings...count me in! Shoutout to Jordan by the way from the moment we walked in to the moment we left he exuded professionalism, customer service and a care for his job . We had a group of 12 and everyone including Jordan and our waiter were super accommodating, patient and kind!

Oscar's Ale House is a great addition to East Street. They are large enough to seat a good number of people and the bar area is quite large for happy hour seating. I love their friendly servers who are knowledgeable about the drinks and food and the variety on their menu. They have a great happy hour but their regular menu food items are always flavorful. With plenty of parking and a location not far off the beaten path from Downtown Frederick, Oscars is a great choice for a casual dining experience.

(Pardon the pics, it's difficult to take nice pics of Smash Burgers). . Where I am: @backslashburger . Location Reviewed: 526 N Market St., Fredrick M.D. inside of @oldemotherbrewing . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Peter Piper Burger ($13.21 for 2 smash beef patties with roasted poblano cream cheese, hot pickled cherry peppers, & bourbon molasses in a potato roll). Crisp edges on these burgers, nice & meaty, juicy on the inside, sweet, smoky, & cheesy!! STAMP!! Their Backslash Burger ($13.21 for 2 onion infused, mustard seared smash patties with house made pickles, & Backslash sauce). Believe it or not, this burger wasn't too oniony!! The Backslash sauce is tangy, & creamy, & the burgers were tasty!! DELICIOUS. Their She's My Cherry Burger ($13.21 for 2 smashed beef patties, herb goat cheese, & a sour cherry jam). This was different, sweet, but savory, & you HAVE to like goat cheese with this one!! NAH! There I Can't Feel My Face Burger ($13.21 for 2 smashed beef patties, ghost pepper sauce, & candied jalapenos). Now for ME...one bite, & my face literally felt like it was ON FIRE!! But if you like that kind of heat then STAMP this burger...it's made for YOU! STAMP!! Their Old Bay Fries ($4.72 with Backslash sauce, & house made ranch). Their Ranch sauce is house made (STAMP...they are now selling bottles of it), & the fries stayed crispy!! STAMP!! Their Beer Battered Onion Rings (house cut, & battered $5.66). Nicely battered, crispy, & tasty!! STAMP!! Their Sweet Potato Fries ($5.66 dusted in cinnamon sugar with blueberry ketchup). The blueberry ketchup stole the show here!! Finally...SWEET, sweet potato fries!! . Customer Service: On Point!! . Parking: Decent. . Recommendations: Get the burger that suits YOU!! . I genuinely don't know what happened here. Although it's been a while since I last paid this burger…read morespot a visit, I now really can't claim I'll be back. They appear to still be using their 50/50 beef and bacon blend, and they were grinding/blending more meat when I arrived. The finished product itself makes me seriously question their palette. While smash style burgers aren't my favorite, I have enjoyed some good ones. The one I was served today was so smashed that any residual flavor from the meat blend was virtually eliminated. This was then overwhelmed by the sheer smack-your-face acid from the pickles and mustard. Further cementing my poor experience, the server acted as though my order was an afterthought. Probably not the attitude one should express towards any patron, much less to start the business day. There are LOTS of outstanding burger options in and surrounding Frederick. Given that, this genuinely poor experience, and the premium charge for their products; I am fairly certain I won't be back.

We ordered nachos and a pretzel for apps. Both were great! The nachos looked standard, but the cheese on them made it fantastic. The pretzel was also so good we had to order a second. Our actual food was also good. My Mediterranean bowl was just ok, but everyone else liked their meals. I would definitely go back. Prices were reasonable and just a cool place to hang out in downtown Frederick.

It's the kind of place you can settle into and enjoy a relaxed meal. The staff definitely added to the experience--they were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal without being overbearing. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag but still enjoyable overall. The boneless wings were just okay--nothing particularly memorable--but the pretzel with beer cheese was a standout. Warm, soft, and paired perfectly with a rich, flavorful cheese sauce, it's definitely something I'd go back for. For mains, we ordered the Reuben and the skirt steak. The Reuben was solid and satisfying, but the steak initially came out a little cold. That said, the manager handled it exactly how you'd hope--quickly addressing the issue and bringing out a fresh, properly prepared steak, which made a big difference and really showed their commitment to good service. Overall, it's a great place with a unique atmosphere, strong service, and some standout menu items. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you're in the mood for a laid-back pub experience with a bit of character.

The main dining room is absolutely gorgeous with the stonework and architecture. The bar area was very busy as we were on the tail end of their happy hour. Our server walked us through the menu. We started with the ravioli appetizer. It had shaved truffles on top and egg yolk covered in Parmesan cheese. They almost had a little crunch to them and the inside was filled with ricotta cheese. The sides are à la carte as is most of the menu. I ordered the tavern burger. It came with beef fat glaze among other spreads and was very well seasoned. The side of beef fat fries were also well seasoned and crispy. The best dish was the pot roast. It was so tender and the gravy was so flavorful. This paired perfect with their creamy mashed potatoes. The service was decent but the food and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. They have a huge variety of cocktails and wine. It's a bit more formal Dining. It doesn't require a jacket or anything.

We received fantastic service from start to finish, from being seated right at our reservation time to our server answering our dietary needs questions to our dishes coming out in a timely and well-paced manner. Wye Oak's ambiance being set in a former church/religious institution is unique, providing an interesting ambiance. However, the food left much to be desired. While the presentation on every dish ranged from good to amazing, out of the seven dishes we shared only 1.5 of them were delicious. Some of the dishes were bland and one note; others were overcooked or overseasoned. We shared the following dishes: Coddies: While the cod was perfectly cooked and breaded, it had no flavor. The cauliflower tartar sauce added nothing to the dish; the cauliflower giardiniera at least added some nice crunch and acid. Savory Parmesan Cheesecake: The cheesecake had no flavor; the acid and freshness of the cherry tomatoes of the arugula pesto could not elevate or salvage this dish. Cheese Ravioli: By far the best dish of the evening. The ravioli tasted fresh, were nicely cooked, and the cheeses and sauce were delicious. Smoked Beet Pastrami: The beets were well-cooked and fantastically seasoned, complemented perfectly by the dressing. However, there needed to be more beets and a better beet-to-funnel cake ratio; while the funnel cake added some nice crunch, there was way too much of it and did not do much for the dish. Brussels Sprouts: Well-seasoned, although very greasy and overcooked. Broccoli di Ciccio: Perfectly cooked, but very salty. It did have good heat. House Rolls with butter: Warm and fine, but nothing distinct. I would try elsewhere if you are looking to dine out in Frederick, especially given Wye Oak Tavern's prices.
