Margherita Pizza and sweet potato fries

Roof top bar with a-lot to offer! The food was out of this world, drinks were refreshing, the vibe was fun, and staff was great. Highly recommend. I will say this place draws a crowd so get there early to snag a table.

Crab cake sandwich with cucumber jalapeño salad on the side

My first stop on my most recent trip to Frederick was to Brewer's Alley to kick off my crab cake tour. I always eat as many Maryland Style Crabcakes as I can when I'm in town. The Crabcakes at Brewers is quite large and full of lump crab with an aioli spread on a brioche bun. The flavor is great but can get a little messy with the sauce, nothing a fork won't clean up. The crabcake sandwich pairs perfectly with their cucumber jalapeno salad if you like a little heat. I also love Brewers Happy hour specials, daily specials which can be a really good deal and seasonal drinks.

I ordered my first two rounds of drinks through a QR code on the table. I wasn't sure why you were able to order drinks through the code but not food. It would have made everything easier and we wouldn't have had to wait a while for the server who was very busy. I had the hummus plate and the buffalo boneless wings. Both were tasty. The hazy ipa beers I had were good. I would be back but I'd aim for a time that it wasnt so packed.

Beautiful interior. The menu is truly special- so many great choices. Sides are inexpensive, so consider getting a couple! There's a great selection of salads, and today they had French onion and tomato bisque soups. We started with Hummus, and weren't disappointed!

Beautiful little bar/restaurant. Music wasnt too loud. Food was yummy. Had the crab dip. Service was amazing. So nice and they had suggestions. The espresso Martini was great as well.

I had the Monday special - Smash burger with their shoe string fries for $12 . I really enjoyed this lunch. My friend ordered the salad with lump crab and she enjoyed it. Their menu changes and frankly this is the spot we go to when we have a large group- the space accommodates - they have a nice rooftop bar- and a great selection of appetizers and dishes.

Huge pretzels! Stopped in for a Sunday lunch in the area behind the lively bar (Multiple TVs with foodball) and had a nice wedge salad, pretzel, french onion soup and Cesar salad. All good, great service, and and an interesting decor/atmosphere.

The Mediterranean Smash Burger was really good. It's a smashed patty with feta cheese, tzatziki sauce, onion and tomato. The shoestring fries were good, brown and crispy. The meal was . The Creekside old fashioned was really good too. If you're in town, this place is worth a visit. I hear their pizzas are popular also.

Brewers Alley is a great place to hang out, relax, and enjoy a beer, mixed drink, or one of a number of beverages available. I wouldn't drive in search of the place, rather park and walk, enjoy! They also have an incredible roof top. You'll walk up some creeky stairs, May feel like you're in someone's home BUT at the top outside to the left, it's an amazing roof top with amazing servers!!

Sat outside on a hot summer day. Nice ambiance with outdoor seating. Our food was great - fries were amazing and crispy and fish was fresh. Our server was friendly.

Discovered this spot on Yelp after looking for a place to grab dinner on our trip home from D.C. and Brewer's Alley is a great spot to hit for dinner! We had the pulled pork nachos for appetizer which were delicious and had great proportions of meat and cheese (definitely not dry whatsoever). Our waitress was extremely kind and accommodating and management was beyond kind as well. I had the double smash burger and it was so yummy! Others in our party had the wings, Mac n cheese, BBQ prime rib & cheese sandwich and the white mushroom pizza. Everything was very flavorful, portions were good, and the food came out in a very timely fashion. It is a very open dining area with lots of space and casual ambiance. If we're ever in the area, would definitely look to come back to Brewer's Alley!!

Ask the Community - Brewer's Alley

Trying to find an after party location after our wedding reception. Would this be ideal for a large group to gather? Thanks in advance 😊

It would be for me. It's a big place with good food and beer.

Can reservations be made?

Yes! Online (up to 4 people) or call for 5+

Do they serve brunch?

Yes, and it's amazing!

Is the rooftop open during winter months?

CAKE FEE? $2.00 per plate? So sad... away with the fee

That's a normal charge for a restaurant

We were greeted immediately when we walked in and you could tell many of the folks there were regulars - like a modern Cheers vibe. My personal favorite among the beers was the En Fleur and we really liked the Penny Pincher and the Irish Stout they had. I even tried my first breakfast stout there (though I probably will never have beer for breakfast in my wiser years)! It is in the same space as a burger spot, which I think is really smart. We will definitely be back!

OMG; OMB is so freaking good!…read more Frederick has a wealth of local brewers, and Olde Mother is consistently at the top of the heap. The taproom at OMB has a warm, Cheers-like vibe (they don't know my name, but I'm working on it!). Their taps feature a rotating selection of light, sour/fruity, hoppy, dark/malty, and non-alcoholic beers. I'm a fan of their various Kolsches, and their stouts are "interesting" (I enjoyed their Morning Ritual Golden Breakfast Stout this week: looks like a lager, with a maple syrup taste that was really refreshing. Guinness it wasn't!). They also offer cocktails and wines for those poor people that can't appreciate a well-crafted, well-poured brews (pagans!). Pours are generous, prices are reasonable, value is great. They even have a selection of board games so you can while away a cold (or hot) evening by yourself or with friends. But wait: there's more... OMB shares space with Backslash Burgers (which was recently renamed from "50/50 Burgers" for what sounds like trademark reasons. Yelp hasn't caught the name change yet. You'll have to look them up under the old name for my (5 star, baby!) review. TLDR: amazing 50% beef/50% bacon smashburgers cooked to order with your choice of toppings, or you can choose from several very interesting regular offers. (If you like heat, try the "I Can't Feel My Face" burger. I dare you...). Sandwiches can be ordered as single or double patties, and can be made with chicken. Large groups can be accommodated, and there are regular events (bands, Night Markets, even a "Paint Your Pet" night are on this month's schedule) to help bring in thirsty and hungry hordes. Trivia Night is every Thursday, and it can get raucous. OMB shares a parking lot across the street with Gravel & Grind bike and coffee shop. It's not easily handicap accessible, with a few steps separating OMB and BB, and since both are self-service that could be a problem, but it's a great place to make helpful friends, no? The hours are also a little quirky for a pub (Monday-Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM-7PM). So, if you find your way to Frederick (and you should!), stop in for a great brew and burger. Tell 'em Randy sent ya...

The patio on a nice weather day is perfect, and there was live music as well. A pizza truck outside and a good crowd of people. However, it was a day that needed more than one overwhelmed beertender. The lines at times were out the door. Went in for a second beer but the kolsch cans were not opening, the line became longer as the beertender tried her best to get a few open with no success. Ended up ordering the same beer as there was no other one on the menu that I prefer. Besides her needing some help, it seemed she was not supposed to be there past a certain time and that was reflected while she processed the line. Eventually she got a can opener and I was able to try the kolsch that turned out to be better than the Pilsner as I expected. Overall it was an ok experience at this place.
