Prospect Point is an awesome spot to spend an evening, especially with a group of friends or family in tow. Tons of space to spread out, plenty of picnic tables, and a bonus for families: a large playset for kids to run around on. The live music was great and could be heard even down the hill from where he was playing. The frozen drinks were a hit. Our group tried every flavor (mango, peach, strawberry, and mixed berry) and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Super refreshing, especially if you're not a beer aficionado. There were lots of beers to choose from if that's more your thing, including sours and seltzers. There was a taco truck parked out front, which was really good, though it was the only food option. It would be nice for a few more lawn games to take advantage of all the open space. We ended up playing on the one cornhole set, and then brought out our own Spikeball (which seemed to be totally fine given there was lots of room). Overall, it's a fun, relaxed place to hang out.

First time coming here and there was a great beer selection! The outdoor area was also vast and would be a great place for friends to gather or watch a sunset. My only complaint is the parking, there just doesn't seem to be enough.

I've been here a few times since I've moved to Frederick and they normally have the same content drinks on draft. This time their draft was full of new beers that I've never seen and they did not disappoint. I absolutely love the location and scenery of Prospect and now their beer game is coming in very strong. I would out them up against the best in Frederick! It's a bit on the small side but they have plenty of outdoor space where you can rent fire pits and have a great time. Check them out it night and they have led light strands throughout. Well done to the brewer and I can't wait to go back.

I flew over to say hello!

Best brewery to enjoy an outdoor sunset view! GREAT beers and a variety of food trucks that cycle through. I'm a huge fan of their Baltic Porter Beer!

Great beer! This was a neat farm brewery with a ton of open space. The two bartenders working were super nice and gave me some great recommendations. The also made a sweet swirled slushie that was PERFECT for the hot day.

I went on Saturday during their grand opening weekend. We went around three PM. We were greeted by a few high school age young men who guided us to parking. We entered through the side entrance where all of the outdoor seating and patio is. There are dozens and dozens of nice sturdy picnic style tables with most covered by umbrellas. There was an outdoor pour station that had all beers except for the Homebrew which was inside only. The indoors is nice and a decent sized table space for indoor seating. There were I believe two or three registers to order beer. One person took your order and another stood by and listened and immediately went and poured your beer so you weren't waiting around. The beer was tasty and a nice mix of IPAs, hazy, English ale and Pilsner. I liked the plastic cups with the logo on it. They also were giving away free stickers. I collect brewery stickers so that was an awesome bonus for me. This is one if not the only I have seen in Maryland that you can get pitchers of beer. Cool idea for a group of people, especially on a hot day. It was my understanding they had a food truck for each day of the weekend. I am not sure if they will her a food truck every day they are open in the future. The truck on the day I went was a nice mix of Greek and Mexican food (D's Delights). The wait was long but the food was tasty. I will definitely be back in the future. It seems they have plenty of awesome ideas in the future like four packs of beer to go.

Outstanding beers! All are worth trying. Fuzzy Yellow is a delicious 5% ABV very drinkable. Bring your own food or order from onsite food trucks

Omg How much do I adore this place? Let me count the ways! You dont have to worry about your kids bc they have a playground and a yummy food truck! Knowledgable and super laid back friendly staff! I mean You can just tell the sever loved his job. He gave us a sample and we chatted a bit which was really nice bc me and my hubby just escaped from Florida and we are brand new to MD, so that chat meant a lot. I had a blueberry wheat beer and my hubby had, Drink your wheaties. Very yummy. The place was very clean and they had water tanks both inside and outside which you never see in breweries. You can even rent out a fire pit. I can not wait to see what they have for Halloween! Def check this place out. Only think I wish they had are pretzels, lol

When you think of family owned and operated... picture Prospect Point Brewing We came over on a COLD Saturday in February and the vibe was warm from the moment we crossed the threshold. From the warm welcome to our family (two little kids and two doggos) to the sanctuary from the freeze, it's full of positive vibes and perfect atmosphere. Then there is the obvious, the beer. We tasted most of the IPAs on the menu as well as the seltzer and the Oktoberfest and nothing disappointed. It's evident that the owners pay great attention to the detail in every aspect of their business. Their beer is fantastic, their employees and owner are welcoming and personable and their spot is private but social! We love this place. And we will be back!

We were greeted immediately when we walked in and you could tell many of the folks there were regulars - like a modern Cheers vibe. My personal favorite among the beers was the En Fleur and we really liked the Penny Pincher and the Irish Stout they had. I even tried my first breakfast stout there (though I probably will never have beer for breakfast in my wiser years)! It is in the same space as a burger spot, which I think is really smart. We will definitely be back!

OMG; OMB is so freaking good!…read more Frederick has a wealth of local brewers, and Olde Mother is consistently at the top of the heap. The taproom at OMB has a warm, Cheers-like vibe (they don't know my name, but I'm working on it!). Their taps feature a rotating selection of light, sour/fruity, hoppy, dark/malty, and non-alcoholic beers. I'm a fan of their various Kolsches, and their stouts are "interesting" (I enjoyed their Morning Ritual Golden Breakfast Stout this week: looks like a lager, with a maple syrup taste that was really refreshing. Guinness it wasn't!). They also offer cocktails and wines for those poor people that can't appreciate a well-crafted, well-poured brews (pagans!). Pours are generous, prices are reasonable, value is great. They even have a selection of board games so you can while away a cold (or hot) evening by yourself or with friends. But wait: there's more... OMB shares space with Backslash Burgers (which was recently renamed from "50/50 Burgers" for what sounds like trademark reasons. Yelp hasn't caught the name change yet. You'll have to look them up under the old name for my (5 star, baby!) review. TLDR: amazing 50% beef/50% bacon smashburgers cooked to order with your choice of toppings, or you can choose from several very interesting regular offers. (If you like heat, try the "I Can't Feel My Face" burger. I dare you...). Sandwiches can be ordered as single or double patties, and can be made with chicken. Large groups can be accommodated, and there are regular events (bands, Night Markets, even a "Paint Your Pet" night are on this month's schedule) to help bring in thirsty and hungry hordes. Trivia Night is every Thursday, and it can get raucous. OMB shares a parking lot across the street with Gravel & Grind bike and coffee shop. It's not easily handicap accessible, with a few steps separating OMB and BB, and since both are self-service that could be a problem, but it's a great place to make helpful friends, no? The hours are also a little quirky for a pub (Monday-Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM-7PM). So, if you find your way to Frederick (and you should!), stop in for a great brew and burger. Wanted a flight but the beers I wanted for the flight were from cans so could not be included, opted for the Pilsner, it was ok. The inside was very messy, the board games all messy and the merch rack needed some attention. The indoor seated room smells musky and the setas were all messy even though no one was in there because we were all at the patio. The patio on a nice weather day is perfect, and there was live music as well. A pizza truck outside and a good crowd of people. However, it was a day that needed more than one overwhelmed beertender. The lines at times were out the door. Went in for a second beer but the kolsch cans were not opening, the line became longer as the beertender tried her best to get a few open with no success. Ended up ordering the same beer as there was no other one on the menu that I prefer. Besides her needing some help, it seemed she was not supposed to be there past a certain time and that was reflected while she processed the line. Eventually she got a can opener and I was able to try the kolsch that turned out to be better than the Pilsner as I expected. Overall it was an ok experience at this place. As far as entertaining the kids, they offered a lot of good inside game options including corn hole, connect four, a gigantic jenga (that the kids totally loved), and a sliding puck game.
