    Red flight

We visited Hidden Hills Farm on a lovely Saturday afternoon. The outdoor space was generous and seating was plentiful. The inside was beautifully decorated, but I can imagine it gets quite crammed on cold days. We ordered the red flight and I enjoyed the wines. If you are a red wine drinker I can say these are solid options. I wasn't in love with them, but I was in strong like with all of the choices. There is live music, a large fire pit and a pavilion area outside. Last thing is the parking, the roadway to get to parking is well marked with plenty of signs, but the parking lot was tight and needed additional signs for where more parking was.

Good selection and view. Sometimes the speakers were too loud, and they were everywhere so couldn't really find a quieter place to sit and relax.

Such a cute winery! I have been a couple times and every time have felt very comfortable the views are gorgeous and depending on the day you might see a horse or two. This winery is great in regards to social distancing. They were only letting 1 person in the bathrooms at a time and not overcrowding their indoor space and limiting the amount of people who could sit together at their outdoor tables. The wine selection is great I loved the white and the roses but they also had a couple slushie options that were very refreshing and not too sweet. This winery does allow you to bring in outside food but they also have some charcuterie options if you didnt bring your own bites. Definitely a good winery choice and its right up liberty road!

I was looking for a place that felt safe during COVID to celebrate my birthday with a small group and having been to this winery before I knew it would be perfect. Their cleaning practices have been great and they are really strict with the group sizes and social distancing so it made me feel more comfortable with my decision to be out and about. As far as the wine, they have Rose and white wine slushies and they are so good! ive had some wine slushes that were far too sweet and hard to drink and these were not. I have multiple in during my visit and didnt have that heavy feeling that you get when you drink too much sugar. I also really enjoyed their reds and can see myself coming back just for that.

Went here on a Friday afternoon to meet up with some friends for a social distance happy hour. First off, the view is amazing and there is plenty of outdoor seating to take it in! The shed/horse barn that houses the winery is also gorgeous! It was great to see some of the horses while sitting outside sipping our wine. The staff was very prompt when we came in to order and they were helpful in explaining the menu, as it was our first time there. I really appreciated that even though there weren't that many wines on the menu, there was a good variety from dry wine to semi-sweet to the sweetened wine slushies. Everyone in my group ordered something different and we were all fans.

Went here last Saturday with my cousins , I choose this place because I wanted frozen wine. But they don't have it until May I was so upset. I purchased a bottle of port wine for my cousin she loved it and I had the white flight it was decent. The scenery is beautiful, they had live entertainment which is always a plus. I showed up to late but they do have cheese , crackers etc. You can bring food so I'll thinking this would be a cute date idea bring a picnic basket. I will come back again earlier to see how I like the vibe.

What a great vineyard. I came here on Sunday with a few friends shortly after they opened and we sat outside. A bit breezy but great views all around and plenty of seating. I chose this place because I could bring my dog which was awesome. I got the mixed flight of two whites and two reds and we all shared a bunch of charcuterie. Everything was amazing and we had such a great time hanging out here. I would definitely come back here again.

We sure do. We have plenty of outdoor area to stretch out on.

Hello! We do allow dogs. But they must stay leashed and we ask that you pick up after them. I hope this answers your question.

We were out somewhat in this direction, and there was a Meetup group going here, so we thought to check it out as it's rare we ever go to a winery as it's normally out of the way, more likely of an occurrence when on a vacation. We took some crazy back roads from where we were in western Howard County, through Carroll, & into eastern Frederick County, where Black Ankle is. We went to the bar inside to get wines. I got a white wine; I think Chardonnay, and I think my girlfriend got a sweeter Rose or something like that. Both were delicious, but we preferred our own more. We sat outside in a nice patio area. We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. We saw sheep dogs, which protect the vineyard from pests, which were cute. Overall, this is a high quality winery with plenty of nice outside & inside seating.

The interior is cozy and well organized, restrooms are clean. This was my first time at the vineyard and I think I fell in love with their white wines, which is rare for me (I am a red wine girl)! I look forward to visiting the vineyard soon again, highly recommend it for date night, hanging with friends, or catching up with family.

Let me first add the context that I don't really identify as a wine drinker, but will still occasionally visit vineyards because I think the experience is nice. 61 vineyard was a cool spot for sure. They have a nice open location with tons of space (I think they said around 40 acres) and they've been expanding their main location for the four years that they've been open. They have a main tasting room, an expansion seating room, and an outdoor patio area that are all well maintained and great for parties of all sizes. I partook in the wine tasting which was very good and the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to (which I find often makes or breaks wine tasting experiences) The wine itself does seem on the pricier end for what I'm used to where I think the average bottle here goes for over $20. But there are also member and subscription types of services to take advantage of discounts. I'm not entirely sure if they have relationships with food vendors, but they didn't have many food option in the main location itself when we were there. The food options that I saw were prepackaged charcuterie packs, so I would keep that in mind for your visit. All in all a very nice winery spot and would recommend even if wine isn't typically your drink of choice.

I loved that you could build your own flight. I enjoyed my tasting. I loved that she let us try everything, even though the tasting was set for 5 wines. I'm not sure how tastings would work when they are more busy. We went at opening on a Friday, so we could sit at the bar and hear about all the wines. There were so many good wines, but the Albariño really stood out as crisp and fresh and different.

Let me get the "bad" out of the way first, and note this is still a five-star review. You drive up a gravel country road to a small building that houses the tasting room. It's the smallest tasting room I've ever been in, and very simply decorated: a few beautifully framed pieces from the farm's history, some antique tools, and that's about it. This isn't going to be your upscale winery experience. If you're looking for Napa or Bordeaux vibes, you're in the wrong place. The single guy behind the counter turned out to be the owner. He mentioned that his wife usually runs the tastings, but she was on vacation. He was fantastic, fun to talk with, knowledgeable from both a production angle and a "yes, I actually drink these wines" perspective, which is surprisingly rare. He even spoke warmly about nearby wineries, treating them as colleagues rather than competitors. It's always refreshing to meet a winemaker who genuinely enjoys other people's wine. As for the wines: we tried all twelve. A couple were still young and could use a few years in the bottle, but they showed a lot of promise. I didn't care for the Muscat, but most of the others were excellent, and I had a hard time choosing which bottles to take home. Be sure to try the "Trop Elyts"; it's fantastic, and kind of port like. I'm not usually a rosé fan, but their take on it was so unique I bought a bottle of that, too. The farm itself dates back to the 1700s. George Washington probably slept there (he slept everywhere). It's full of character and history, and well worth the stop

There is not strong AC anywhere there. The indoor seating is very small and feels like you're in someone's grandma's living room. Tastings are done in a flight with plastic cups, not one at a time in a glass. We did enjoy the wines and eventually enjoyed talking to the one employee who was there, but it was a rough start. When we entered the tasting room we were the only people there except for one other man. We had to initiate conversation with him to determine if we were in the right place and if we could get a tasting. It was confusing and we didn't feel clear about what to do or welcomed. I did enjoy the Rich Forest Chard, the Rose blend, and the Hogshead Red. It was interesting to learn about the residual sugars and how their rose is different. There is a cemetery on the premises which was an interesting choice.
