My friends and I ordered some bottles of wine and we got some of their wine slushies. So good! I can't wait to come back here so I can try more options as we didn't have a lot of time. Popped into this winery while in Frederick. It was very cute with lots of options for outdoor seating. No reservation needed which was really nice given it was a spontaneous visit. We were able to get wine flights and try multiple options. The service was extremely kind. I will say the wine is very dry so if you enjoy that you'll like the options here. We visited Hidden Hills Farm on a lovely Saturday afternoon. The outdoor space was generous and seating was plentiful. The inside was beautifully decorated, but I can imagine it gets quite crammed on cold days. We ordered the red flight and I enjoyed the wines. If you are a red wine drinker I can say these are solid options. I wasn't in love with them, but I was in strong like with all of the choices. There is live music, a large fire pit and a pavilion area outside. Last thing is the parking, the roadway to get to parking is well marked with plenty of signs, but the parking lot was tight and needed additional signs for where more parking was. read more

This is by far the best winery I've been to in the DMV (Virginia) Maryland area. This is of course a personal opinion. But I consider myself a very French palate person. Particularly when it comes to wine. My favorite region is châteauneuf-du-pape. We always do a full tasting at a new winery, but typically in Maryland we only have appreciation for 1 or if we are lucky 2 of the wines on the offering. Usually the reserves. Again person taste. There is no right or wrong in wine. Just what you like. But for me and my wife, the difficult part in picking our favorite here, was that there weren't any bad wines. All good. Just different degrees of excellent, well balanced wine. Can't tell you what a pleasant surprise this was. Blown out of the water. The worst part of our day is that they were out of all the cheese picks we wanted. Not an issue. As they allow you to bring your own food, which we I'll do in the future. If you have a dry palate, do yourself a favor and come here. You won't regret it. As an added bonus, the service was also great. And the view is lovely. But even if it was in a basement, with horrible service, the wines speak for themselves. read more

Such a cute winery! I have been a couple times and every time have felt very comfortable the views are gorgeous and depending on the day you might see a horse or two. This winery is great in regards to social distancing. They were only letting 1 person in the bathrooms at a time and not overcrowding their indoor space and limiting the amount of people who could sit together at their outdoor tables. The wine selection is great I loved the white and the roses but they also had a couple slushie options that were very refreshing and not too sweet. This winery does allow you to bring in outside food but they also have some charcuterie options if you didnt bring your own bites. I was looking for a place that felt safe during COVID to celebrate my birthday with a small group and having been to this winery before I knew it would be perfect. Their cleaning practices have been great and they are really strict with the group sizes and social distancing so it made me feel more comfortable with my decision to be out and about. As far as the wine, they have Rose and white wine slushies and they are so good! ive had some wine slushes that were far too sweet and hard to drink and these were not. I have multiple in during my visit and didnt have that heavy feeling that you get when you drink too much sugar. I also really enjoyed their reds and can see myself coming back just for that. read more

It was my first time visiting Hidden Hills and I was pleasantly surprised with the wines and ambience. For starters, the tasting room and outdoor areas were clean, the employees were so nice and the live entertainment was a nice touch! Although there was shade on the concrete patio, I wish there were more fans outside moving the air around! To the part you are waiting for! WINES! There are a few flight options as of September 2022. There is a White Wine flight, Red Wine flight and a mixed flight. The prices are fair and I highly recommend you visit Hidden Hills if you haven't already! Went here on a Friday afternoon to meet up with some friends for a social distance happy hour. First off, the view is amazing and there is plenty of outdoor seating to take it in! The shed/horse barn that houses the winery is also gorgeous! It was great to see some of the horses while sitting outside sipping our wine. The staff was very prompt when we came in to order and they were helpful in explaining the menu, as it was our first time there. I really appreciated that even though there weren't that many wines on the menu, there was a good variety from dry wine to semi-sweet to the sweetened wine slushies. Went here last Saturday with my cousins , I choose this place because I wanted frozen wine. But they don't have it until May I was so upset. I purchased a bottle of port wine for my cousin she loved it and I had the white flight it was decent. The scenery is beautiful, they had live entertainment which is always a plus. I showed up to late but they do have cheese , crackers etc. You can bring food so I'll thinking this would be a cute date idea bring a picnic basket. What a great vineyard. I came here on Sunday with a few friends shortly after they opened and we sat outside. A bit breezy but great views all around and plenty of seating. I chose this place because I could bring my dog which was awesome. I got the mixed flight of two whites and two reds and we all shared a bunch of charcuterie. This is the first time I have visited a Maryland/ DMV winery and tried both the white and red flights and wow, ALL of them were GOOD! It was hard to choose one! I was in my head going "Eenie meenie minie mo - all of you are yummy so ..." and then my husband says "wow, all of these are impressive!" (Whew! ). I got the white flight. None of the wines in this flight but the 2020 XoXO Rose tastes the best. The scenery here is beautiful! Inside you can order wines for tasting, cheese, crackers and a charcuterie board. You'll have to pay separately for each but the prices are affordable. There's also an option to sit inside. The Port wine is pretty good if you like semi-sweet. Overall a great experience. I would definitely come back. read more

I don't know how I hadn't been here before! Gorgeous little gem tucked back from the road with pretty views and lovely ambiance. The staff was friendly and provided great recommendations. I enjoyed all the wines I tried, especially the XO rosé which was perfect for the hot day. It's a fuller body rosé and I think it would pair perfectly with BBQ. They had live music both times I went which lended to the great ambiance. They have charcuterie style snacks and they let you bring your own food in. My new favorite vineyard! read more

Wow! My boyfriend and I absolutely fell in love with this winery. You pull in and are lead to the owners home. They currently do not have a separate tasting room but are slated to have one in early 2020. Currently the owners, a couple, are using the husbands beautifully decorated man cave as the tasting room. It's so cozy and has some amazing movie photos with autographs! Barb helped us and another couple yesterday and she was fantastic. She walked us through each wine, in a perfect sequence such that our pallets transitioned from whites to reds with ease. I truthfully did not know what to expect. Smaller scale wineries just starting out can be hit or miss. This was a HUGE hit. I'm more a white person than red but I can truthfully say their reds were luxurious and became more enjoyable with every sip. We bought two bottles and are planning to join their wine club. Uniquely, their wine club allows for a tremendous amount of flexibility. You can choose the bottles you receive rather than be stuck with what is given. I really look forward to seeing this business grow and HIGHLY recommend giving them a try. read more

We have been wine club members for many years, and if I ever have a question about my membership or my wine orders, they respond promptly and courteously. We have also enjoyed many events there with food trucks and music - it is such a great place for a relaxing afternoon sipping wine in a beautiful setting with friends. Hidden Hills represents the very best wine culture that Maryland has to offer and is one of our favorite places to go. Even though they are recently doing huge business and expanding, they haven't lost the personal touch: their service is tailored to the individual visitor and wine club member. Definitely one of our favorite wineries in the Maryland and Virginia area. My husband and I have been longtime members and have seen Hidden Hills grow from a tasting room in the owner's home where they proudly debuted their first wines to today with a beautifully constructed and clean tasting room near the horses where there is an abundance of wines for any palette. A recommendation for the dry white wine lovers: their Viognier is delicious. Sitting atop the hill where they are located, the views are gorgeous; an historic stone house, rolling hills, vines, horses, trees, blue skies all make for a perfect venue. During Covid, this was the first winery we came to once they were allowed to be open for outside service. I will never forget how free I felt. The tasting room is a comfortable place to sit with AC in the summer and heat in the winter. The owners and employees work hard to provide a courteous, clean, enjoyable experience. On the weekends, there usually is live music, a food truck, and plenty of places to sit outside in either the sun or the shade or inside the tasting room. Occasionally they offer yoga, trivia, brunch, or other activities for people to gather and enjoy. I consistently see the owners and manager mingling among guests to make sure everyone is happy and well taken care of. Being a member has its perks! You can get quarterly wine pick-ups, discounts, members-only events, and make table reservations. Unlike other wineries where we are members, Hidden Hills allows its members to switch out wines on their quarterly pick-ups to suit your liking. I highly recommend you give this winery a try. read more

This winery is so dang great! I can't get enough. I have been twice in the past month and am already dying to go back. First off, the land that they have this vineyard on is absolutely gorgeous! They have a beautiful tasting room and a staff that are all super friendly. Since tastings aren't going on right now, they have flights for a very fair price that lets you taste 2 reds and 2 whites. They have very nice outdoor seating, live music on the weekends, and great options of local cheeses for charcuterie! I love all their wines, which have no extra sugars added to them. They also make some fun frozen drinks and sangrias. I really enjoy coming out here and have loved showing my friends this great little gem. read more

Attended the grand opening of the new tasting room. Due to the virus issue they are only offering a 4 tasting flight, by the glass or bottle. The reds are awesome, but not a fan favorite of the whites. The 2014 Cab Franc is far the best I've ever had. The new tasting room is not very big but it's awesome. Gorgeous farm and vineyard in Frederick, Maryland! I had the privilege of going here for an event and I was beyond impressed! The grounds are lovely. They have beautiful horses. The wine is outstanding! This is probably my favorite winery in Maryland so far! This isn't your typical winery since it is by appointment only. However, I really like that feature. It makes it a very intimate setting and you can have a nice conversation with your friends. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We tried four wines, but my favorites were the Cabernet Franc and the Chardonnay! I cannot wait to plan an event here! read more

This winery makes my favorite wine in the area. It is rich and complex and delicious. It's a little more expensive than other wineries in the area, but I think it's 100% worth it. I definitely recommend this place. The room where you taste everything is located on the lower level of a house. You enter through the back. You're supposed to have an appointment, but when we went, we didn't have one. We were just trying wines in the area. They were nice to let us in and I'm so glad they did. Easily my favorite. read more
