We chose to book a scheduled rideshare there and back. There is free parking and the winery opens at 10 am we were able to walk the grounds and interior winery until our reservation. The cabanas are neat and private which views of the farm with lighting, fans, and heaters. Our visit was fairly a warm day so it was nice to have the fan but overall you are shielded from the sun and able to enjoy an interior/exterior atmosphere. There was a little food debris on the chairs/floor but not messy and the cabana was very neatly designed and furnished. The staff is very courteous and attentive with Matt being our guide through the available wine offerings and accommodating our menu requests. He provided amazing service and recommendations that really made our visit special. Our reservation was for three hours which is more than enough time to taste the wines, enjoy the menu and purchase wines after. We enjoyed the red wine flight, a complimentary glass of their 2025 Rosé, and rose sangria as well as starters of hummus and Caesar salad and pizzas. The chef was accommodating to our party for a request for no diary which we really appreciated. The Caesar salad was crisp and savory and the hummus was earthy and filling. My favorite tasting was the rosé and the Cabernet Sauvignon and I love their wide range of offerings. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend reservations. I didn't really like any of it, but the Syrah was the best of the four. I thought the Merlot and Cab Franc had an unfortunate smell, but still finished the entire flight.

Come to find out it actually is the owners of the Vineyard's home and they have a tasting room attached. The parking lot is very small and only able to accommodate a few cars. I recommend car pooling if you can. They have a very nice patioSet up with fire pits and heat lamps that I would be willing to bet would be nice to sip wine and have a conversation. It was a little bit too cold for my taste when I went on a Sunday in November so I chose to go inside. The tasting room is small and due to Covid restrictions they have limited seating. Mask use is mandatory here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines that I have. I don't know too much about wines Oh I opted to have a tasting. For seven dollars I got six samples of wine to choose from. After sampling them all I made a decision to purchase a bottle before I left. Definitely a great experience and I recommend anyone who enjoys wine to make a trip.

But there are also member and subscription types of services to take advantage of discounts. I'm not entirely sure if they have relationships with food vendors, but they didn't have many food option in the main location itself when we were there. The food options that I saw were prepackaged charcuterie packs, so I would keep that in mind for your visit. We were out somewhat in this direction, and there was a Meetup group going here, so we thought to check it out as it's rare we ever go to a winery as it's normally out of the way, more likely of an occurrence when on a vacation. We took some crazy back roads from where we were in western Howard County, through Carroll, & into eastern Frederick County, where Black Ankle is. We went to the bar inside to get wines. I got a white wine; I think Chardonnay, and I think my girlfriend got a sweeter Rose or something like that. Both were delicious, but we preferred our own more. We sat outside in a nice patio area. We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. We saw sheep dogs, which protect the vineyard from pests, which were cute. Overall, this is a high quality winery with plenty of nice outside & inside seating.
