A terrific find in Spring Grove, PA! The Syrah & Chambourcin are lovely reds on a summer afternoon and the Dark Storm would pair famously with a Ribeye! Grapes are grown on site. And Joe and Amy were delightful! Enjoy!

First time here was a pleasure. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Lots of different wine to choose from. Pizza and slushy was a nice combination. We'll be back with friends.

Beautiful dual rainbow, after a hard rain. We were enjoying some wine from the outdoor pavilion when this occurred. Great setting!

Ask the Community - Thunder Ridge Vineyards

Is there a smoking area at the winery premises?

We are a non smoking facility however just off the licensed property, we have a small area with two chairs and a place to dispose of cigarette butts if needed to smoke. This area is also for those who vape.

Charming country vineyard (with an even cooler name) that has to have some of the best wines in Md!…read moreIt's a little hidden but well worth the journey! Diane, the lovely owner is so gracious and sweet and was able to handle the flow of oenophiles quite effortlessly. They have the main tasting room and also an adjacent room that could accommodate a group tasting. Diane did a great job of giving us a detailed description of each wine and I was actually pleasantly surprised! I'm not a huge fan of Md wine but truly enjoyed the wines here. I purchased a bottle of the Estate Red and they had a wonderful sangria made with their Chambourcin which I also purchased. I love supporting local and especially such a great vineyard such as this one that is also a working farm. I would encourage anyone to venture out to this vineyard--but actually put the address in your gps and not just the name, you will end up at someone's home. I assume this family are use to people ending up at their home-they have a sign that has the address of the vineyard on it--thank you mystery family!

What a cute tasting room and attached barn with a burning fireplace. It's a little out of the way but worth the visit. Don't follow Waze unless you type in the address and not the name of the winery. We'll be back.

We visit Lancaster…read moreevery year and decided to switch gears and stop here and honestly, it was one of those why didn't we do this sooner? moments. Set on rolling Pennsylvania countryside, the views are straight out of a postcard. It's peaceful, scenic, and exactly the kind of place where time slows down (in the best way). The wine list is well thought out, approachable yet refined, with something for every palate. Nothing felt mass-produced or rushed and each pour had intention behind it. The staff deserves real credit: knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely proud of what they're pouring. They guide you without the wine snob energy, which makes the experience feel relaxed and inviting, whether you're a casual sipper or a full-on wine enthusiast. This stop elevated our Lancaster trip and added a fresh layer to a tradition we already love. Grandview Vineyard isn't just a winery, it's an experience worth building into your itinerary. We'll be back. No question. For photos, wine highlights, and more travel-food stops worth the drive, check out @travelingtastebuds_

Grandview Vineyard was a nice place to enjoy beverages out on the deck!…read more Initially, I was surprised by the views once we stepped outside at the Vineyard. It doesn't necessarily look like that as you drive up. The only downfall is that there is only one restroom. The pricing seemed decent. I was super pleased that they had a small selection of mocktails. Their strawberry lemonade spritz wasn't too sweet or too tart! It was just right. My friends seemed to enjoy all the wine choices! Additionally, the crab pretzel was amazing!! The charcuterie boards looked worth it. Plenty of seating and a live band was set up around 6/630, but we left just as they were coming in. Highly recommend and would come back (even as a sober lady!).
