Diane, the lovely owner is so gracious and sweet and was able to handle the flow of oenophiles quite effortlessly. They have the main tasting room and also an adjacent room that could accommodate a group tasting. Diane did a great job of giving us a detailed description of each wine and I was actually pleasantly surprised! I'm not a huge fan of Md wine but truly enjoyed the wines here. I purchased a bottle of the Estate Red and they had a wonderful sangria made with their Chambourcin which I also purchased. I love supporting local and especially such a great vineyard such as this one that is also a working farm. I would encourage anyone to venture out to this vineyard--but actually put the address in your gps and not just the name, you will end up at someone's home. I assume this family are use to people ending up at their home-they have a sign that has the address of the vineyard on it--thank you mystery family!

There's a sweet white, Pennsylvania blueberry, and a sweet red with raspberry extract added. I bought one of each. They have lots of semi dry and dry wines too but if you're a sweet wine lover, they have things for you too. The tasting room is small, in the back of the house, with stools to perch on for your tasting. They have a lovely patio with string lights if the weather is agreeable. If you find yourself in Spring Grove, take a ride down a country road to this winery.

I was super pleased that they had a small selection of mocktails. Their strawberry lemonade spritz wasn't too sweet or too tart! It was just right. My friends seemed to enjoy all the wine choices! Additionally, the crab pretzel was amazing!! The charcuterie boards looked worth it. Plenty of seating and a live band was set up around 6/630, but we left just as they were coming in. The service was perfect. Many vineyards we have been to across the country only have dry wines. My wife enjoys wines on the sweeter side and they had an incredible selection. It was a perfect breezy summer day to sit under the gazebo with one of the bottles of wine we selected. We stayed there for over an hour relaxing with this delicious wine, chatting and just having fun amongst the gorgeous scenery. We ended up taking 5 bottles home and will return as regulars as their seasonal wines become available. It was as perfect of an experience that was so unexpected. I was happy to snag a reservation for the Tasting Room at Waltz today as I planned a leisurely…read moreafternoon. I placed a reservation request in the morning, and they called me in the early afternoon to let me know there was availability, which was great. I appreciated the variety of 15 wines from which you could sample to create your tasting. My picks consisted of: -2020 Sauvignon Blanc -2020 Fusion (white) -2020 Cellar 1599 Riesling: Cellar 1599 is a Waltz label, for reference. -2018 Cellar 1599 Red Blend -2017 Baron Red I won't go into detail on my experiences with each wine, but I did have a glass (and then buy a bottle) of the Riesling. The tastings come in little tasting tubes that are basically test tubes. While some might find that unusual, I'm a science person, so I liked it! They also have a cheese board (choose one of four cheeses) with chocolate and crackers, which I added. The tasting room staff were friendly and accessible. It was a beautiful day and lots of families were out on the large lawn. Too bad there isn't a restaurant here, or it would be even more of a win. In any case, Waltz is a winner!
