Wine tasting $10
Kelsey S.

Stopped in this afternoon for a quick tasting. The woman working here was honest and knew what she was talking about with the wines. Gave great advice on everything. I did a quick tasting because I just wanted to grab a bottle for a later date. So we went outside on the beautiful fall day, that has a nice view of the vineyard and foliage. I don't really like red wines on the east coast, the whites are usually my favorite, even though I am a red wine lover. They do have flights as well if desert wines, they sell some food and also have their own brandy and gin. If I had more time I would have had more but we had places to be. So I bought a bottle of the vintage Vidal blanc. It was very tasty and my personal favorite. Nice place to come with groups, also they were setting up a live band for the day. Worth a stop.

Today was not my first trip to the winery, but the first as part of a "brew tour, van group of moms, for Mother's Day visiting wineries: see harford brew tours review!) Harford was our second stop and when we arrived we were greeted with complete and clear direction of what to do. Grab a pencil and paper, note our choices, return and pay, and the samples came to us within just a few minutes! Our group of 16 had time to chat and compare and savor our samples due to the efficient set up and ample number of workers available. The garlic and chive cheese was wonderful, and the wine options were plentiful (17 w/3spirit options). You could choose any samples on the list. Everyone's taste is different so my fav might not be yours. Not a fan of the traminette or the lemoncello, the other samples were fair to middling. Ambience is nice: in the corner was a lone guitar player/singer, and they have a small room to but "wine Knick knacks and t-shirts" The staff was very pleasant and aided in keeping the table clear. They let our host bring in pizza (no food truck on-site this go round), but that also offer cheese and crackers and small snacks for purchase I'd been there before for music outside. Today was a rainy day. But pleasant inside. Regular chairs and high tops. Very laidback and down home.

The owners are so nice and such hard workers. You can tell it's their work of love. The space is great. So nicely decorated. Loved the live music today. Wine is good. Really loved the Halloween special- little chocolate cups that come with your flight. They have cheese and salami you can purchase there too. Thanks for everything today, we had so much fun!

It's Wine O clock!.. Mrs.Carol was very helpful and enjoyable. You get 6 pours for $7 and premium pours are $1..I got a garlic & chives cheeseboard with club crackers for $10 .The cheese is local from Daily Crisis farm in White hall. They also have non alcoholic peach slushies

We came here a few Saturdays ago and we got there the same time as a wine tour group did so the owners were nice enough to give our tasting separate. The owner was very knowledgable. They have a great homemade wine business so they told us a lot about where the grapes come from. No snacks but some crackers ($1) to taste between tastings. $5 for the tasting and included a nice small glass. I didn't buy due to the sweetness but well worth the trip!!

They aren't open every day except for Tuesday and Wednesday. If you are thinking about going on a Thursday Friday or Monday be aware those dates are by appointment only. They are also available to host private events. Looks can be deceiving, when I arrived it looked like it was someone's home. Come to find out it actually is the owners of the Vineyard's home and they have a tasting room attached. The parking lot is very small and only able to accommodate a few cars. I recommend car pooling if you can. They have a very nice patioSet up with fire pits and heat lamps that I would be willing to bet would be nice to sip wine and have a conversation. It was a little bit too cold for my taste when I went on a Sunday in November so I chose to go inside. The tasting room is small and due to Covid restrictions they have limited seating. Mask use is mandatory here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines that I have. I don't know too much about wines Oh I opted to have a tasting. For seven dollars I got six samples of wine to choose from. After sampling them all I made a decision to purchase a bottle before I left. Definitely a great experience and I recommend anyone who enjoys wine to make a trip.

Mothers Day (Saturday) wine tour, visited 3 wineries, this was the first…read more As we know, everyone's palette is different so you may not care for my recommendations, and vice versa. But I enjoyed the Scarlett and the Dragonberry wines. I learned I'm not a fan of moonshine, but I could tolerate the limoncello spirit Of the 3 wineries we visited I believe they had the largest of varieties to sample ($10 for 7wines and $5 for 4spirits) and there were 21wine options and 15 spirits to choose from) The ones I chose were more pleasing than the ones I chose at the other places TWas a rainy day, so we didn't venture outside but there is a deck (partially covered) to enjoy the peace and solitude of the area Two restrooms, plenty of seating, tastings are 1. Chosen by you on a slip of paper, 2. Presented to the pourer, who (during our visit) 3. Calls your name when your samples have been prepared and 4. You go up to get it Unfortunately they were Iill prepared for our group of ~16 ladies. We were there for over an hour and a couple of ladies didn't get their samples until 3-4minutes before we were to leave. I do not recommend ONE pourer of 7-11 drinks each, for 16 people. The math/timing just doesn't work, and we were left mostly talking to each other while we waited 30-45min or more for our samples The idea is to sample and chat at the same time, not gulp to leave in time. Fortunately Harford Brew Tour didn't actually force us to gulp...to meet any departure deadline, so we had time to savor -compare-chat It's not a fancy place, no cushiony seats nor dark oak bar nor sommelier to explain the wines, however: each wine in the list does have the flavor expectations/ingredients. And the pourers draw arrows and numbers on paper plates to help guide you on your choices. Very family-down-home vibe. There was an adjacent room (closed) that would allow for more people, and probably a private party. Our party had to wait for our samples, I felt sorry for the few people who trailed in behind us. There is a basket of small snacks you can purchase along with cheese. But they also allowed (or at least our party) to bring in snacks if your own 3stars , because it took an hour to get samples. But the wines all seemed to be great

Normally we had the opportunity to stock up on bottles during MD Wine Festival season, but with all the festivals canceled we had to drive out to the winery to re-stock. The winery is gorgeous-they have a beautiful home-villa type building in which you can sit indoors in a nice wide open dining hall type atmosphere with homey furniture, outside on a variety of shaded tables, or out on their patio again with shaded or open table options. They offer tastings of both wine and distilled liquors ($5 for 5 wines or $5 for 4 liquors)-and both selections have a plethora of choices to appeal to anyone's taste buds. Knowing their wines, we just selected a bottle to open, then went to spend time on the patio-relaxing enjoying the day and view. (They allow you to bring dogs and your own food, so it's very easy to make a beautiful picnic day adventure.) We stocked up on a number of favorite wines to-go, my only woe- they don't have a great wine club member perk-just a case club. I definitely recommend a visit!

I had such a great experience at Boyd Cru Wines Tasting Room. From the moment you walk in, you can…read morefeel that this is more than just a wine tasting room, it's a true community space. I was really impressed by their commitment to supporting the community and showcasing other small businesses. That intention shows up in every detail, from the collaborations to the overall vibe. The food was so good. The jerk chicken was a standout, flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the charcuterie board was fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully done. Pair that with their wine cocktails and you're in for a treat. They're creative, well-crafted, and honestly some of my favorite wine-based cocktails I've had. What really sets Boyd Cru apart is that it's family-owned and operated, and they truly make you feel like family while you're there. Warm, welcoming, and intentional. Bonus: the space is also available to rent for private events, which is such a great option for anyone looking to host something intimate and meaningful. Highly recommend stopping by, whether for a tasting, a cocktail, brunch on Sundays or to support a local gem that's doing things the right way.

The whole place is a vibe. The decor is thoughtful, intentional, cozy, and inviting. The staff were welcoming, genuine, and extremely knowledgeable. Whether your are vino virgin or a cultured connoisseur, this spot is unpretentious and overwhelmingly welcome. But make no mistake... these ladies know their way around a grape, and they are well equipped to tell you whatever you need to know about what's in your glass. Let's get into these wines. I highly recommend the flight to get familiar with the different wines they have to offer. The Sparkling Vidal Blanc is not included in the pairing, so go on and get you a glass of that too. Trust me. The "Community" Vidal Blanc is easily one of the best bottles of white that has ever blessed my palate. Crisp, refreshing, full of bright, summery flavors but not too sweet... it's practically begging to be paired with a delicious plate of seafood (preferably one cooked with butter and lots of garlic). This is a great sipping wine, and an even better one to pair with dinner. The "Free Spirit" rose is another great sipping wine. Light, slightly sweet, and full of character, this was also a really great glass of wine. I like my reds a little bolder, so the "Living Legacy" red was not my favorite. It was still a good sip, and if you enjoy reds a little on the lighter side, this might be for you. Still worth a try in my book. Now I love bubbles and the only thing I enjoyed more than the vidal blanc was the sparkling vidal blanc! There's so much character in this bubbly... you'll have to taste and experience it for yourself. For me personally, it's high on the list of the best sparkling wines I've every had. If a plain glass of wine is not your thing, no worries. They also offer a number of wine-based cocktails, as well. In partnership with nearby businesses, the winery offers a limited variety of snacks including charcuterie boards, flatbreads, cake flights, as well as trail mix and popcorn available at the bar. I got the Smith Island Cake flight. While it's definitely not authentic Smith Island Cake, it's good to curb a raging sweet tooth. Speaking of partnerships, the winery also offers products from other local small businesses for sale: spices, body care products, jewelry and other items... So you can sip and shop. A few small areas of improvement I would recommend. -More, bigger and better signage...especially on the street. I was driving all around the area, then roaming all over Savage Mill Shopping Center before I finally found my way. -Provide more parking details, landmarks and directions on the website. (I ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood, only to find that there was a free parking lot available). -Expand snack offerings... perhaps sell individually packaged snacks from local businesses for purchase within the winery. -Consider adding a flight that will allow patrons to try all of the wines available. Shoutout to Eden and the crew for such a fantastic afternoon of good vibes and great wine. I'll be back... and I'm bringing friends!
