I had the pleasure of visiting Boordy's for a friends 30th birthday. We reserved 2 tables inside the barn ahead of time to ensure we would be able to sit together. It was a Saturday afternoon and they had live music which was nice. The inside was packed so it was kind of loud inside. Our waiter was very friendly and provided us with recommendations. Most of us ordered flight #1 and it was the perfect combo. If you're looking for food they usually have a food truck there to purchase food. Boordy's also sells items à la carte for a charcuterie board. However, they were out of the most cheeses and jams which was a bummer. It would be nice if they had already made charcuterie boards that could serve a certain amount of people. Buying the items à la carte ended up being a little pricey. I had a great experience for my first time at Boordy Vineyards. I will say, I was a little confused by the other customers consistently staring at our table while we were sitting outdoors enjoying our time together. I feel like, when you're sitting outside, you expect that people might be a bit loud and it doesn't have to feel like you're indoors. Regardless of the other customers, the wine was fantastic and the seating was perfect. There are seats and tables that are accessible for those who are concerned about the hills. I often think about accessibility due to my own personal reasons, and I felt happy knowing that if I couldn't make it all the way up the hill, I had another option for seating for my group. Sunday Funday at the local vineyard. My wife and I stumbled upon Boordy being so close to our home. Just she and I went and was met with an unexpected "oasis" of serenity. There's no admission fee, plenty of free parking and the staff that we encountered were kind and knowledgeable. There was live music and picnic tables for use (some had reservation tags on them), there was also plenty of space to set up a picnic blanket or packable chair. We opted to take our packable chairs and had a view of the music and was close to the wine. They have a single foot option, in not sure if there's a rotation but on our visit they had South American cuisine. We chose one beef and one chicken empanada as well as an order of fries. Everything was good. They have a tasting room where you can taste from three different sets of wines. We chose set #3 because it offered some red and some white wines. The flight is $25. The bottles of wine are between $20 and $30. I didn't find this to be a "value" experience but being close to home and fun, we'll definitely be back! read more

I visited Boordy this past Saturday (4/20) as part of a bachelorette wine tour. I'm not a wine drinker and thus had a non-drinking pass, which was fine. The tour company and Boordy made sure I had a nice non-alcoholic beverage while the other ladies were tasting their wines, which was appreciated. I was impressed with the looks of Boordy. The grounds were lovely and there's a nice area with picnic benches (a lot in the shade!) and an area for live music. The inside was gorgeous too, giving a rustic barn vibe. This place would be good to have a wedding or host a big party. That said, the women I was with had nothing nice to say about the wines they sampled. Apparently they were pretty bad. read more

My partner and I had an relaxing afternoon at Boordy. There's an abundance of outdoor and indoor seating. I enjoyed the live music indoor so that's where we decided to stay. The staff was attentive and kind. We each ordered a flight which comes with 5 pours. We ordered a bottle, as well and took the rest home. If you want something light, make your own charcuterie is an option. For something heavier, there was a food truck. The food truck does have limited options if you are vegetarian or pescatarian. Disappointing and upsetting experience for false advertisement AND for management not having the decency to come outside and explain why they were not honoring what their website said. For that, we are giving you 1-star as that is bad business and extremely poor customer service. Went to Boordy's vineyards yesterday (Thursday, 24 JUL) with my boyfriend and his mom. It was our first time visiting the vineyard and we were very excited to try some tasting flights. We scanned the QR code which brought up the following information about tastings: "Tastings offered until 5:30PM Monday-Friday." It was Thursday afternoon around 5:15pm when we were denied tasing flights. The girl working the counter said that they only do flights until 4:30PM and concluded with "it's posted on the website." We all looked at her puzzled and showed her the information the QR code brought up from the Boordy's site saying flights until 5:30PM M-F. She paused, offered to ask the manager and would let us know. A few minutes later she returned saying the manager would not honor what their QR code is saying. We asked why, but the girl just said she wasn't sure. We left it at that, ordered a bottle to sample instead, agitated about the FALSE ADVERTISEMENT experience . We knew the girl was simply relaying the message, which increased our agitation because her manager did not have the common decency or the professionalism to come outside and address the matter in person. I'm sorry, but that's UNSATISFACTORY, POOR LEADERSHIP, and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE to make your employees deal with annoyed customers. This soured the mood and lowered my opinion about my Boordy's experience. A good leader and manager would have the decency to come outside to converse directly with us, the customers, and explain why they were choosing not or honor their advertisement. However, a "great manager" would have honored what was advertised, spoken to us in person apologizing for the confusion and ensured our overall experience at Boordy's was pleasant; especially since it was our first time there. But none of that happened. The manager stayed inside (in the A/C), left it to their employee to deal with us overall demonstrating how low Boordy's prioritizes great costumer service - it's pretty low. Beware of false advertising as what's posted on their sites is incorrect, unless they're being "selective" with whom they sell tasting flights to - then that would open up another set of complaints. Management was disappointing and I professional in how they chose to handle the situation. Thank goodness for Yelp offering a platform for customers to offer honest and candid feedback about establishments our experiences. Word of mouth is powerful. Disappointing experience. Again, we've given Boordy's one star. read more

This winery is absolutely gorgeous, and has plenty of seating! I think the prices are extremely reasonable (especially for a flight, which is what I got). I was super grateful that they had GF cracker options for charcuterie - you don't always get that at wineries :) The only reason I have a 4 and not a 5 star is because our service was slightly slow, and I think our server got confused with where we were sitting. The property is beautiful and there was a great fire pit outside where you could sit and still listen to the live music. It was a little cold the particular day that we visited, but I imagine it is gorgeous during warmer months when you can sit outside. This was my first time visiting the vineyards, but I was honestly a little disappointed in the wines. The flights were on the expensive side and I had one, the Viognier, that tasted like soap suds. My guess is the bottle wasn't properly rinsed or something, but it was undrinkable. The rest of the wines, were just OK, very one note without any depth of flavor, though I will say that I didn't find any of them too terribly sweet, which is good for me (I personally like dryer wines, medium-full bodied wines). We had 8 people in our party and none of us finished our flights, which is a shame because they were pricey. I will caveat this with the fact that wine is subjective, and what we don't like, others might. The venue is stunning and they had good music (albeit, it was quite loud in the barn and it was better enjoyed outside) and the food looked delicious though we didn't partake. read more

So. Many. Dumb. Rules. We visited on a Saturday with two friends and their infant daughter. We were greeted by a sign that children are only allowed on certain days of the week (and Saturday is not one of them), but thankfully no one hassled us about that. We sat at a picnic table in the grass and I went to order a drink at the outdoor bar, but it turns out you can only buy full bottles at the outdoor bar, not glasses. So I went inside and upstairs to the other bar. I asked for a flight, and they asked me to have a seat, but I explained that I was sitting outside with my friends. They then explained that you're only allowed to have a wine flight if you're sitting at a patio table, not at a picnic table. Fine. I'll just get us two full glasses then. So I look over the menu and order two glasses, but I'm told that I can't get glasses of those particular wines because they don't currently have bottles of them open. Come on. So we got two glasses of two other wines. They were fine. On the way out, we returned our glasses to the bar, and they asked if we wanted our deposit back. I had no clue what they were talking about. Apparently, for every glass that you use, you have to pay a refundable $4 deposit upfront (which no one told me), I guess in case you break or steal the glass. This place used to be quaint and idyllic, but I gather it's gotten a bit too big for its britches. With plenty of other good wineries nearby, I'll skip Boordy from now on. read more

As always Boordys is a very peaceful and fun atmosphere. It's a great place for wine with friends, family, and celebrations. They had a food truck from La Barritas restaurant which was really good. My friend said it had the best steak they've ever tried. I think they got the lomito sandwhich. The empanadas were really good too! read more

Short and sweet review. Customer service is by far the worst thing at Boordy's. Sadly they veer from the ordering at the bar instead for a pseudo waiter/waitress experience. This would be lovely if they were properly staffed for this, but unfortunately they are not. Thankfully that is where the negatives end! The wine is amazing and the ambiance is pretty although not the most picturesque. For a winery that is close-ish to Baltimore, I would recommend coming here solely to use the outdoor bar. read more

They have live bands on certain nights and charge a cover for those nights. I was taken a back at first but it was worth it! The band was great and I love the ambiance here. The lights that are strung up were very pretty and the wine is great. This is a great spot for a date night! read more

Recently visited Boordy as a post hike treat. :) I was not disappointed. Very laid back and chill, Boordy on a Sunday is the perfect way to kickback. The winery is currently not having tastings but, they do offer various flights. I had the Spring Flight. Of the offerings I loved the pink spritz and Riesling best. The blush and white spritz were 3rd and 4th. I wish they did have a build your own flight option. There were a few wines I wanted to try but, I did not want to purchase a whole bottle. They also do not sell by the glass. While here I also had the cheesy smash burger and truffle fries from Lib's grill. The burger and toppings were fresh and the fries! Omg! Soooo good. So good, there didn't get a photo lol! They also offer various charcuterie options. The prosciutto and herbed goat cheese was tasty. They have a few seating options. Picnic tables and a grass area for those who have larger groups. Classic dining tables closer to the winery. I'll definitely be back. read more

*Updated Review* After a year since my initial visit, I finally made my way back to Boordy this past weekend! The set up is very different. Indoor seating is now available in their barn. Reservations are encouraged to guarantee seating! The upstairs of the barn is huge! Parking isn't an issue here! Plenty of space! Just as before, they offer three flight options, some cheese/meat snacks, a food truck and live music. They are open during the week which is nice. I'm sure it's less crowded then. I did flight #2 which was a mixture of white, rose, red! I enjoyed it. Ended up sharing a bottle of their blush wine with my friend. Be sure to follow their social media to get updates. For most of us, covid has changed so much in our lives, including how we celebrate major milestones. So, for our anniversary, we were looking for something to get us out of the house while staying relatively safe. When we decided we were going to spend our anniversary in Baltimore, we scouted out some spots to get some fresh air and "celebrate." Boordy came up and I was pleased with how they laid out their safety protocols on the website, and it looked beautiful! Something told me to time our arrival just right and I am glad we did because there are limited tables in the serving area. When we arrived, there were about 2-3 tables left open and we were able to snag one up. There were a lot of groups/parties there just hanging out and some celebrating their own milestones. There was also a cool band playing to contribute to the vibe. While there, we ordered wine flights that were a combination of whites and reds. And, we had some french fries which were average but hit the spot because we were a little hungry and didn't want to drink too much on an empty stomach. The wine flights are brought to you by a server, but full bottles and food need to be ordered on your own. This means, someone should stay at the table while you wait in line and order or your table might get taken :) Overall, this was a great experience and I look forward to visiting again when the weather is warm again. read more

This was my first visit to Boordy winery. My husband wanted to stop to pick up a few bottles, but I convinced him to stay to enjoy the sights. We sat down and ordered a sample of one of the flights, as well ordered fries and hamburgers provided by a local restaurant, Libs. The food was good. There are tables available but learn quickly they fill up, so you can bring tents, chairs and picnic out on the open lawn. Also bring bug spray. The greeters, security and staff were friendly. I really enjoyed my time at Boordy. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, parking was on the lawn and easy to maneuver. It was clear there was construction happening so the cellar was closed off for visitors. It was a nice amount of people peppered all over the grounds in shaded areas in the picnic table section as well as in a barn type of structure and also on the porch with tables and umbrellas. When we arrived we were unaware of the self-seating setup, so we kind of awkwardly walked around until we figured it out on our own. All of the servers were rather busy running bottles and wine glasses about so I would recommend expecting someone to ask/show you around when arriving. Luckily we found 1 of 3 available picnic tables, and had a seat. It took about 15 minutes before we could get anyone's attention, and another 15 min before we were asked for our order(s). There was live music happening and also two food trucks on site. We enjoyed all three of the flights offered and they were delightful of course. I don't know about you but I've never experienced less than enjoyable wine on a vineyard to date. We finished our flights and ordered a bottle to enjoy before sondering off to the food trucks to order a light dinner. There were also charcuterie board offerings on the menu to choose from but we wanted hot food. Toward the end of our stay, the live music ended and the Saturday night band began setting up as more folks started pouring in with picnics ready to enjoy the Saturday night series. Good times here, I recommend Boordy and I would love to return during cooler weather with less people. read more
