Enjoyed a beautiful Saturday wine tasting with sisters and cousins .. Beautiful vineyard with chill ambience and friendly atmosphere...live band that performed some cover music ( mostly The Beatles songs) Service was excellent considering we had a large group ....kudos to the staff for being so helpful and patient ..we will definitely come back in near future when weather is a little bit cooler outside ...

Some friends and I decided to visit Dejon for the first time during their Harvest Festival ($10 cover). In addition to the gorgeous surroundings, there was a cover band providing live music, craft vendors, a hayride and a food truck. Our group brought folding chairs and a blanket and secured a nice spot outdoors on the lawn between the stage and the vineyards. Due to covid, they were only selling wine by the bottle (no single glasses) so we took a chance on a few bottles of various reds. The wines we're all slightly sweet in taste but overall good. I'd highly recommend visiting Dejon Vineyards for an outdoor, covid-friendly family or group activity. The estate is really beautiful and spacious. For our group, it was just nice to get out of the city for a few hours and not have helicopters circling over our heads.

Very refreshing Rose on an early Saturday afternoon.

If in the area, stop by this lovely quaint winery. I hike every weekend and like to find new places - spontaneous! The staff was lovely, to include the parking attendees and the wine very refreshing for Maryland. This is on the list to bring my visitors. Thanks DeJon Vinyards! PS, the Boodry winery next door did not offer the same spotinaiety.

My daughter had her bridal shower here & had a blast!! The venue is beautiful, the service is impeccable and the wine is extraordinary!! We love this spot and always have a blast when we go!!! I highly recommend if your looking for a laid back, drama free evening to find a band you like bring some snacks, and get yourself a bottle of wine or seven!!

This was my first time at DeJon Vineyards and the entire experience was marvelous! Upon arrival, we were directed on where to park in a nearby field. Then we walked into a white barn where there were tons of tables all spaced out and staying COVID safe, live music, and a little bar area where you can purchase bottles of wine. We brought our own little picnic food and purchased bottles of wine to split. We had the Malbec and Chardonnay first, then got a bottle of Rosé and Merlot, then finished off with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. The fan favorites of the bunch were Pinot Grigio, Rosé, and Merlot! Highly recommend this place for catching up with friends, celebrating an event, or meting up for a date! Already planning to come back in the spring when the weather gets warmer!

I'll be honest in the very beginning of my review-- my experience at DeJon Vineyards was the first wine-tasting experience I've had in the US, so perhaps I'm not the wine connoisseur that fellow Yelpers may be looking for. That being said, I don't think anyone would argue with me when I say that DeJon Vineyards is a lovely place to spend the afternoon. My friends and I had traveled out to Hydes after someone spotted a LivingSocial discount, for four people to wine taste for $10 (it's usually $20). The wine tasting takes place in a renovated barn (on the owner's home property), which is open so you can see the fields of grapes all around you-- very relaxing! There were another two groups there when we were, but the owner of the vineyard made sure that everyone was satisfied as he explained each of the house-made wines. A number of the wines we tasted were 2010 award winners in the Winemasters' Choice competition, so I guess my unskilled wine-tasting abilities weren't too far off the mark. After the wine tasting, he offered us reasonable prices on both the glasses ($5-6) and the bottles ($14-20). He also offered to give us a brief tour and explanation of his wine-making process, showing us the machinery and giving us a quick "wine-making for dummies" course. It's a really relaxing venue to come out and sip wine in the countryside-- and although it seems far from everything, it's really only about 15 minutes from the heart of Towson. DeJon also hosts bands on Saturday evenings, much like nearby Boordy Vineyards, but on a much smaller scale. I purchased two bottles, both summer-y white wines, but I wouldn't be opposed to going back and stocking up on some of the darker wines once the summer comes to an end. The wine is only sold at the vineyard itself and at a local liquor store up the street on Long Green Pike.

I feel like this place has a lot of potential. Stopped by here this past weekend for the first time and unlike the vineyard down the road from this one, I actually enjoyed some of their wines. The tasting was $7 per person and we got to keep our glasses. The lady giving us the tasting was really friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Unfortunately it was way to humid inside the place to stay and enjoy a bottle of wine. I do like the whole barn style feel they're going for but my experience would have been a lot better if there was some AC in there. There wasn't a lot of people when we went so the atmosphere was kinda blah. Overall, this was an OK vineyard.

My boyfriend and I spent a relaxing evening here wine tasting. There was a live band playing that evening and we happened to walk in the door just as the song ended. The couple on the dance floor shuffled over and made a bridge for us, we ran through it and the whole place applauded. It was great! What a crazy unexpected entrance! We chose to do the wine tasting for two, which came with a sample of all of their wines and the wine glasses to keep. The wine tasting was fantastic! Brian was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. We ended up getting a bottle of our favorite, Sweet Denise, and having it there. The place is a spacious but cozy feeling barn. We sipped our wine and chatted while we watched the band pack up. Overall a great place! Much more personal, relaxed and intimate setting. I will definitely be back!

I was really impressed by their commitment to supporting the community and showcasing other small businesses. That intention shows up in every detail, from the collaborations to the overall vibe. The food was so good. The jerk chicken was a standout, flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the charcuterie board was fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully done. Pair that with their wine cocktails and you're in for a treat. They're creative, well-crafted, and honestly some of my favorite wine-based cocktails I've had. What really sets Boyd Cru apart is that it's family-owned and operated, and they truly make you feel like family while you're there. Warm, welcoming, and intentional. Bonus: the space is also available to rent for private events, which is such a great option for anyone looking to host something intimate and meaningful. Highly recommend stopping by, whether for a tasting, a cocktail, brunch on Sundays or to support a local gem that's doing things the right way.

The whole place is a vibe. The decor is thoughtful, intentional, cozy, and inviting. The staff were welcoming, genuine, and extremely knowledgeable. Whether your are vino virgin or a cultured connoisseur, this spot is unpretentious and overwhelmingly welcome. But make no mistake... these ladies know their way around a grape, and they are well equipped to tell you whatever you need to know about what's in your glass. Let's get into these wines. I highly recommend the flight to get familiar with the different wines they have to offer. The Sparkling Vidal Blanc is not included in the pairing, so go on and get you a glass of that too. Trust me. The "Community" Vidal Blanc is easily one of the best bottles of white that has ever blessed my palate. Crisp, refreshing, full of bright, summery flavors but not too sweet... it's practically begging to be paired with a delicious plate of seafood (preferably one cooked with butter and lots of garlic). This is a great sipping wine, and an even better one to pair with dinner. The "Free Spirit" rose is another great sipping wine. Light, slightly sweet, and full of character, this was also a really great glass of wine. I like my reds a little bolder, so the "Living Legacy" red was not my favorite. It was still a good sip, and if you enjoy reds a little on the lighter side, this might be for you. Still worth a try in my book. Now I love bubbles and the only thing I enjoyed more than the vidal blanc was the sparkling vidal blanc! There's so much character in this bubbly... you'll have to taste and experience it for yourself. For me personally, it's high on the list of the best sparkling wines I've every had. If a plain glass of wine is not your thing, no worries. They also offer a number of wine-based cocktails, as well. In partnership with nearby businesses, the winery offers a limited variety of snacks including charcuterie boards, flatbreads, cake flights, as well as trail mix and popcorn available at the bar. I got the Smith Island Cake flight. While it's definitely not authentic Smith Island Cake, it's good to curb a raging sweet tooth. Speaking of partnerships, the winery also offers products from other local small businesses for sale: spices, body care products, jewelry and other items... So you can sip and shop. A few small areas of improvement I would recommend. -More, bigger and better signage...especially on the street. I was driving all around the area, then roaming all over Savage Mill Shopping Center before I finally found my way. -Provide more parking details, landmarks and directions on the website. (I ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood, only to find that there was a free parking lot available). -Expand snack offerings... perhaps sell individually packaged snacks from local businesses for purchase within the winery. -Consider adding a flight that will allow patrons to try all of the wines available. Shoutout to Eden and the crew for such a fantastic afternoon of good vibes and great wine. I'll be back... and I'm bringing friends!

We were there for over an hour and a couple of ladies didn't get their samples until 3-4minutes before we were to leave. I do not recommend ONE pourer of 7-11 drinks each, for 16 people. The math/timing just doesn't work, and we were left mostly talking to each other while we waited 30-45min or more for our samples The idea is to sample and chat at the same time, not gulp to leave in time. Fortunately Harford Brew Tour didn't actually force us to gulp...to meet any departure deadline, so we had time to savor -compare-chat It's not a fancy place, no cushiony seats nor dark oak bar nor sommelier to explain the wines, however: each wine in the list does have the flavor expectations/ingredients.
