I've stopped in twice to pick up drinks and both times I've been impressed by the variety of product available. The first time I was looking for bubbly so celebrate a friend's new home. The employees provided great recommendations based off my preferences. The second time, I was looking for cider and went straight to the coolers. The employee kindly mentioned that there were some room temperature on the shelf, though I could use the cooling machine to make them cold. What?? After reviewing the choices, I ended up with a room temp cider that I put in their cooling machine. The instructions were clear and there was a towel to dry off my selection. What a great invention! This place has a great variety of wine, craft beer, craft cider and non-alcoholic offerings. There are limited snacking options and they rent to Be of the more fine dining variety. read more

The Wine Bin - Craft beer, cider, and non-alcoholic offerings - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Ellicott City, Maryland

Great place to get wines and beers. They are very rooted into the Ellicott City community and a great at giving back and their time. Dusting the local musical festivals it's a fun place to hear different bands and people watch. Summer movie nights are a nice relaxing time to hang with friends and watch old and new movies. That did we've patronized the Wine Bon for years but always feel like an outsider. There is Orr focus on tasting wines than making a customer feel valued. We'll still come because everything else outweighs the one downside. read more

Ellicott City, MD - On a pretty Fall day the handsome husband and I headed to historic Ellicott City before an evening concert. We love craft beers so stopped at this charming former fire house to take a look. The selection was varied and well organized. We were greeted almost immediately upon entering the beer section and cheerfully offered assistance. We chose a couple of beers and at the counter were offered a taste or two from the tap selection. We liked one so much that we purchased a 32 ounce can. We asked for some ice to keep it cold for our concert. The super kind employee gave us more than enough ice and packed our purchase in a sturdy reusable bag. Overall a very welcoming experience. We would definitely return. read more

The Wine Bin - Sturdy reusable bag! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Ellicott City, Maryland

This Wine store draws you in with their unique novelty items such as graphic socks, Kitchen tools, and cork candles. The wine and spirit selection is vast and you can easily get carried away. The store clerks that I came in contact with were both helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the wine and spirit tasting. Dave was very knowledgeable on the wine selection. He even helped us pair a delicious Cheddar Cheese with our wine. I can't wait to go back when I have more time to look around at all the items. read more

They haven a good price and they are very nice people! But don't park in front, people don't respect your car! They throw the shopping cart anyway read more

The store is beautiful with a lot of options and unique finds. I found a wine I've been looking for since last July! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. read more

Dave and his staff are awesome! It was super fun and easy curating our drink menu for our wedding. Dave had a lot of great suggestions and ideas on what to include, what not to include, and mixed great his & hers signature cocktails for the event. They also buy back unopened bottles and provide an invoice after the wedding, which made choosing The Wine Bin as our alcohol vendor an easy choice. read more

The Wine Bin is a large wine, beer and liquor store in historic Ellicott City along Main Street. Based on the traffic going in and out, it's quite popular. When you enter, you'll see it's a large space with wine up front and beer and liquor in the back. If you want a cold beverage, there's a large fridge in the back. Nearby is a chiller to chill wine. The prices are as expected in a store in historic Ellicott City. The staff are helpful and friendly. read more

I have always enjoyed coming to this top of the Elliott city Main Street establishment but they became my favorite local summer spot this season! Every Saturday night in the summer they host an outdoor movie night with some fantastic films! Grab a bottle of wine from their shop, support this local business and get to know your community!! Every time I have visited the wine bin the staff are super friendly and helpful if you need recommendations on what to get. Their inventory is modern/current with both trendy new wines as well as fan favorites. There is a quick chilling station at the back of the shop for chilling your bottle of wine in minutes if you choose to stay for the movie night. Cannot recommend this business more! read more

The Wine Bin was our alcohol vendor for our wedding last January at Overhills Mansion. They were great and easy to work with! Dave helped us create a moderate drinking bar for around 90 people. He helped us with our beer and wine selections. We also came in for a cocktail tasting (which was free) and both Dave and Maria walked us through our options for a signature cocktail. Also, everyone loved the signature cocktail -- a rosemary citrus sour -- so much that we ran out. Our planner called the Wine Bin and they dropped by to deliver more! Highly recommend them. read more

Best wine store in Ellicott City and surrounding area. Great selection of wines including some wonderful syrahs. Need a recommendation? Ask Dave - he has many suggestions for any price range and I've loved every wine he's recommended. He also supports the community. Love the summer movie nights! read more

Selection is really great and they have a number of interesting/cool items to purchase. Attitude of staff was really poor @ checkout and so we wont be likely to return. It's not all that hard to thank someone for spending even just $35 @ your store IMO. read more

Wine bin is the best. Can't believe I never reviewed before. Great discounts on excellent wine. Military and dog friendly. We love all their events. Good people who are caring. One of the things I'll really miss when leaving this area. Thanks for everything. read more

Great addition to the community. Huge selection of wine, beer and liquor. They also offer wine tastings and growlers of beer. The store is well laid out and offer goods for every budget. The store also offers great events like yappy hour, movies, and farmers markets. Really love this place! read more

Another vote in Wine Bin's favor - Dave Carney, one of the owners, is almost always in the store, and he will place special orders with no hassle whatsoever. He was able to track down an obscure white wine for me and get it in from the distributor in a little over a week. Left a message that it was in the day it showed up in his delivery, and included a 12-bottle case discount for a six-bottle case. Great shop - good folks. read more

Was recently here to pick up some wine for the first time. I hadn't checked any reviews ahead of time, but I can agree that the friendliness is something I noticed right away. I'm not a big wine drinker so I needed some suggestions. Very helpful staff. I was even offered to sample a few wines as well. There's a parking lot for their customers on the side of the building. Just another reason to spend money on Main St. in Ellicott City. read more

Excellent service and selection. Great atmosphere and lots of crafty extras to discover

Dave and the entire staff at the Wine Bin are always happy to help with whatever you need. They special order wine, have a great Yappy Hour during the summer and even have movie nights where you can bring your own chair and buy a bottle of wine to drink while you watch a movie. Some of our favorite wines have come from the Wine Bin. They are in a great location with lots of good restaurants in their area. read more

I found this place while visiting Judge's Bench one Saturday. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the employees. I noticed that there was nice variety of wines, and I love red wines. Not only did they have wines, but the Wine Bin had wine accessories. Yes, wine accessories!!!! I found a gorgeous wine clutch. It is faux crocodile burgundy and insulated. Basically, it looks like a purse, but it holds wine. YAY!!!! I am so excited for spring and summer for the various festivals. Back to the wines... The Wine Bin has awesome prices on wines from around the world. I was able to score a 2005 red wine for $10, and it was great. My sister was able to score some white wine for $10 that were equally as great. Since I live near DC, there isn't a chance that I will be back. It is simply too far out for me. If you are in the area, I highly recommend visiting and checking out the selection. You wouldn't be disappointed. read more

Its not often you come across Liquore stores you want to frequent and not feel like a lush. This is the rare neighborhood store that has every attribute needed to keep me coming back again and again. Friendly staff will greet you as you come in, and are willing - in fact happy! - to answer any questions you have. The store is brightly lit, spacious yet very very well stocked. I've only known a few other places that manage to have all those aspects - as stores like these can quickly waste space for asthetics or end up with overcrowded floor space trying to cram in too many shelves. The wine bin has managed to hit the rare razors edge between the two - plenty of space to wander the aisles looking at the variety of offerings. Lastly - and probably the most important - they have great deals. Not everything is reasonably priced, but I managed to pick up a superb bottle of wine that they were giving tastings of, for 10 dollars. Good deals, a great selection, friendly staff and a airy feeling make this one of my favorite liquor stores I've been to. To just push them solidly over the 5 star threshold - they put on movie nights throughout the summer in there parking lot! read more

Great wine shop, lots of variety, snacks and fun items. Great outdoor movie experience over the summer!

We used The Wine Bin to provide all the alcohol for our wedding. Dave was so awesome, he completely helped guide us towards the wines/beers/liquor we were looking for, appropriate amounts, and respected our budget in the process. Just 2 weeks before our wedding Ellicott City was majorly flooded for the second time and the store could not be accessed. We emailed Dave and he responded immediately, saying that he was sure he could still fulfill the order and if he could not, was already arranging for a backup supplier. Needless to say, Dave and everyone at The Wine Bin came through 100%. You would have never even known that they were going through such turmoil at their store and in their community. Everything was handled efficiently, communication was quick and clear, and we had plenty of alcohol. Afterwards they even picked up the unused bottles and refunded us for them. Thank you to Dave and everyone at the Wine Bin for such a great experience!! We are so glad you guys are back up and running! read more

I'm trying to figure out how to delete my previous bad review.. i was having a bad day and being a bitch.. these guys have the best wines around and great prices.. please disregard my past bad one.. i will try to still figure out how to delete it.. thanks so much for all the great wines and happy to see old friends today.. read more

I just love this place. They hold so many great events (don't miss the Summer Movies, or if you have a furry friend, stop by Yappy Hour!), never feel pretentious, and the selection for the size of the store is awesome. They recently added a beer cooler in the back with chilled six packs, so check that out! They always welcome my dog when she accompanies me to the store, and I got engaged here before one of the summer movies. What's not to love? :) read more

A great wine shop - so knowledgeable and the cocktail and cooking virtual events are terrific.

Is it the cheapest place to buy wine? No. But prices are reasonable, and it's the sort of place where I can walk in and say vague things like "I got a white here once, you said it was a best seller, I think it was like $12..." and they look up my purchase history and find me exactly the bottle I was talking about. They also have lots of tastings and events. Movie nights, Yappy Hour, etc. They also have lots of cute little items (food and housewares) if you need a hostess gift. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly, never condescending. They also have plenty of liquor and beer. read more

We're pretty stoked on The Wine Bin, even if we usually walk out with more beer in tow than wine. First, there's Lulu, the shop dog who will greet you and then flop down on her cozy chair like the queen that she is. Also, who can't resist a trip to OEC, a quaint drive down to some history...but really, the beer and wine selection can't be beat, with fair prices and seasonal selections. They also offer cheese and charcuterie and host movie nights in the late summer and fall. We are quickly becoming regulars here, I'll admit. read more

This place is great! I'm under 21 so obviously I don't buy the alcohol, but I do partake in their root beer and popcorn. The staff is so friendly to my whole family every weekend we're here during the summer for their outdoor movies. Definitely come here even if you don't like wine! They've got a wonderful selection(so my Dad tells me) and a wonderful staff! read more

The Wine Bin is a great wine store that hits on all cylinders. They have a fun and interesting international selection, hand-picked by the expert owners to showcase their favorite choices. They have an equally interesting beer selection, both on shelves and a cold case, plus the ever-rotating draft selection available for growlers. They also have a customer-recognition program that remembers your purchases (so you don't have to) and rewards repeat purchases. They are also active members of the community, utilizing their parking lot (a rarity on Ellicott City's Main Street) to host events like movies projected on the side of their building and Yappy Hours for dog owners. They love wine, they love their customers, you'll love them. read more

Love this place! Came here on Saturday for a free outdoor movie. It was a great experience, and we were glad to support this business. The owner(s) seems very involved in the community. The actual store is beautiful as well, and in a great location of historic Ellicott City. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely return! read more

This is THE GO-TO place for picking up wine. They have summer movie nights and wine tastings in their parking lot. And honestly the owners aren't pushy at all and really know their stuff. It provides a solid selection in old downtown Ellicott City. And there are other fun items to pick up there, including designer wine stoppers, decorations, and unique beers. If you are ever in the area AND like to try new things (or try new drinks) you should definitely come here. read more

My go-to place for wine and my fiance's for beer. Great selection while still being very accessible. The staff are willing to recommend bottles, and they'll keep track of what you buy (sort-of customer loyalty program) so if you can't remember the name of that great wine you had that one time they can look it up for you. Surprisingly enough, they also have room for a small selection of atypical spirits, including my favorite scotch I can't usually find in anything smaller than a warehouse liquor store. Wine Bin also supports the community by hosting "yappy hour" which benefits local shelters and rescue programs and having weekly outdoor movie screenings all summer long. One of the best parts about living in Ellicott City is being close to the Wine Bin. read more

What a helpful shop! I called in and spoke with the owner hoping to get some wine delivered in the Baltimore area. The Wine Bin is an incredible establishment. Employees are always helpful and willing to spend time with customers to choose the right bottle for any meal or occasion. Dave does an incredible amount of charity work, and is always working to better the community. I have the utmost respect for this store and it's employees. I think that if Meme frequents the store as much as she says she does she could have easily brought a bottle she previously purchased. Dave is trying to run a business. And while the movie night is free, it's common courtesy to support the business providing a service to you. You can't bring food from home to a restaurant and sit down and eat it, This is common sense. read more
