Grandview Vineyard was a happy detour that turned into a new annual tradition. We visit Lancaster every year and decided to switch gears and stop here and honestly, it was one of those why didn't we do this sooner? moments. Set on rolling Pennsylvania countryside, the views are straight out of a postcard. It's peaceful, scenic, and exactly the kind of place where time slows down (in the best way). The wine list is well thought out, approachable yet refined, with something for every palate. Nothing felt mass-produced or rushed and each pour had intention behind it. The staff deserves real credit: knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely proud of what they're pouring. They guide you without the wine snob energy, which makes the experience feel relaxed and inviting, whether you're a casual sipper or a full-on wine enthusiast. Grandview Vineyard was a nice place to enjoy beverages out on the deck! Initially, I was surprised by the views once we stepped outside at the Vineyard. It doesn't necessarily look like that as you drive up. The only downfall is that there is only one restroom. The pricing seemed decent. I was super pleased that they had a small selection of mocktails. Their strawberry lemonade spritz wasn't too sweet or too tart! It was just right. My friends seemed to enjoy all the wine choices! Additionally, the crab pretzel was amazing!! The charcuterie boards looked worth it. Plenty of seating and a live band was set up around 6/630, but we left just as they were coming in. Overall this was a great experience - and I hope to go back! The only thing that was a little odd - compared to other wineries - was that you had a waitress. So we had a waitress inside for the tasting and when we went to the hostess stand she said tasting is inside only but then we could go outside if we wanted for other drinks. Well we did the tasting at the table and they started a tab for us so I assumed our waiter was just for the inside to place our tasting order and deliver. Halfway through we got a second waitress as ours shifted what he was doing and the place got really busy. We went to the counter to order slushees after we had completed our tasting. After placing order we then were told we had to wait at the hostess stand again to sit outside. But then when we got outside we were told to sit whoever. I think they just need to decide if they're going to have wait staff or not. It was very odd that they had waiters outside. Post a sign or something that it's all waitstaff then or something - even though I saw others at the counter ordering. It was just confusing and we felt like we were doing something wrong but really it was a lack of communication. I also feel it's just weird to have waiters and waitresses when you're not a restaurant - I'd rather people just be able to come and go and you all work at the counter. Or again- waitstaff inside but then they settle your bill and outside is no staff. No one came to settle our bill and since a tab was opened we just wanted to go outside. Again, not super problematic at all but just made things a bit awkward. That aside - let me get into the rest of the review. My fiancé did the wine tasting and I did the chocolate cheese and wine pairing. His was $10 and mine was $15. There were 3 options for the tasting and he did the semi sweet. Overall I liked his wines better but I enjoyed my pairings. They did have some small bite options as well if you wanted to order those with your tasting. we found a few wines we really enjoyed and wanted to order those upon leaving. After tasting we went to counter to order- after our tasting was completed. We then waited for hostess and then were told we could sit anywhere outside. We ordered wine slushes which I think were $15 because of the cup- not sure if refills are cheaper. They're the only thing not listed on the menu but with such a nice warm day we wanted one after our tasting. You can also order glasses or bottles. We got the apple one which she said tasted more like pear - I'm not sure but it was delicious! We definitely fell in love with a few wines and they're not available to purchase anywhere near us - they only stock locations in lanc county, unfortunately. The margarita wine was a hit. Overall the prices were not bad either. I did also not like that we ordered all of our bottles and it got totaled in with our regular service and they calculated too based off our total of the bottles purchase and service. They need to separate that. Again - small hangups. It does look like a great event space they did have ample parking with the overflow. It was super clean and I liked both inside and outside spaces. My wife and I were going here for +10 years and were club members till a few years ago. We almost always went with another couple or even several other "wine" friends. When the older owners retired a few years ago, the quality began to drop and the prices went up, up and up. The other thing that changed with the owners was the customer service. They added time limits to how long you could stay... 90 minutes. If it was a cold winter day and out on the deck wasn't really an option, you all had to go. When this happened to us a couple times, my wife and I said no more. Asking 4,6 or 8 people to leave because you don't have enough room, is a terrible plan to keep customers happy. ITs not like we weren't buying product, we always bought some to take home along with keeping the good times going while we were there. We ended our club purchasing and stopped going there. Our other friends also stopped the club but went much less frequently. I agree with many that have talked about the staff being not so helpful or slow, etc. This is absolutely and issue from the top down. I hope we can return again some day and try again, but we aren't hearing great things from a few friends that have gone again and are also disappointed. read more

Wonderful winery, Events are always well organized, fun and friendly. The dry wines are perfect. The Beans and Brews competition was great involving local breweries to compete against each other. My husband and I visited this vineyard in late March, 2024 on a Saturday evening. We were fortunate to visit when there was live entertainment (6:30-8:00 pm), a good duo singing and playing familiar tunes. Only the indoor tasting-room was being utilized because it was still too cold to use the outer deck that overlooks the vineyards. When we arrived around 7 pm, most of the seats were already taken so we were seated near the entrance, from which we were not able to see the band. The tasting room was tastefully decorated, modern, and inviting. We were warmly greeted, and staff checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. We each ordered from the Tasting Menu, where there were four different choices ($10), each with a tasting of five wines, or you can create your own flight of 5 wines for $12. You could also order wine by the glass or bottle. We selected one flight called the Grandview Exclusive (Estate) Wines, which featured five wines made from grapes grown at the Grandview Vineyard. All of these wines were dry, divided between three whites and two reds. Our favorite from this group was the Naked Chardonnay, described as a dry white, aged in stainless steel with notes of refreshing citrus and ripe peach/pear flavors. We also ordered a flight of Sweet Wines. Our favorite amongst these was Mom Kennel's Blackberry, with "the perfect blend of sweetness and tartness, made from 100% blackberry juice." There were also flights of "Heritage & Port Style Wines" or "Semi-sweet Wines". You should be aware that you will need to give a credit card to open a tab. We informed the waitress that we intended to pay by cash, but she still required a credit card. We ultimately decided to pay by credit card and, in asking for a receipt, was informed that it could only be texted or sent by email. It's now two days later, and we still haven't received it. However, we checked the activity on our credit card, and the correct amount had been charged. We hope to return to this winery during better weather to see the "Grandview" of the vineyard. It looks like it would also be a picturesque venue for a wedding, and convenient for people in the Harrisburg and Lancaster areas. read more

The staff and service here was absolutely amazing! I'm not a huge wine drinker, especially PA wine. I normally find it very sweet, but I was actually impressed with the wine here. Rolled in around 3:30pm on a Sunday to a tasting room at only quarter capacity and no waiting. Tasting flights are only offered at the bar or table indoors. Outdoor seating only for bottles or glasses of wine. A credit card or cash is taken before the flight is poured. Flight choices are done by categories- so choose from the Estate Category, Dry White Category, Dry Red Category, or the Sweeter Side. I wanted to taste what's being grown in the fields, so I selected the Grandview Exclusive Estate Wine Tasting. This is amazingly one of the few Pennsylvania wineries I've visited in the region that labels the year of the wine as an indication of its vintage and aging. I also appreciate that even though it's served in plastic cups, a glass is provided for tasting without the plastic. Here's how it went: 2020 Albariño - never had this grape before, but it has nice crispness, complexity on the tongue, and dry finish. I preferred this over the Chardonnay and think it would be nice for a lover of dry Riesling. 4/5 2017 Chardonnay - this wine takes a bit of time to develop in the glass, so give it some oxygen and as the alcohol evaporates, it gets better as it goes. Overall, less buttery and less savory than most chardonnays- this one pulls a lot of its flavor from the French oak barrel but lands a little simple and juicy on the palette. 3/5 2019 Sun-Kissed (Rosé Blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet, and Merlot) - swirl this in the glass until it smells savory and what you'll get is a roasted Smokey flavor that would go nicely with some BBQ, beef, or pork with a high acidity and low sugar that would cut through some heavy fats without adding any sweetness or tartness. The alcohol flavor pours out high on this one, which is why swirling is recommended. 3/5 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon - beautiful deep berries on the nose, rich oaky flavor present equally in power to the grapes themselves, little bit of acidity to clear the palette and back of the throat, dry balanced finish with after notes of black pepper. Use this as a pairing to tone down sweetness or enhance saltiness. 4/5 2016 Grande Rouge (flagship red blend) - raspberry and cocoa notes present on the nose, very smooth and balanced on the palette, low acidity and less dry than most of the other estate wines, but very well rounded for a full palette flavor. 5/5 Overall beautiful experience and worth a stop for those who love wine and beautiful scenery! read more

Had an absolute great time at Grandview. We came from Philly so it was quite a drive but it did not disappoint. We were lucky to have Amelia who greeted us with excitement and she enthusiasm explained to us how the wine tasting works. For wine tasting it has to be indoor, however, once you find the ones you like you can get a glass/bottle and enjoy it outside. The weather was beautiful and the view was absolutely magnificent. Absolutely beautiful property! Nicest in the area. Large wine selection, sweet, fruit, white, red and port! Wines were very good, flights served with oyster crackers which is always a nice touch. Would come back next time we're in the area. One star less because you don't offer traditional tastings, all tastings are served in flights, no interaction with staff or discussion about what grapes, where they're from etc. Most wine drinkers will prefer a traditional tasting, which is lacking at this winery. read more

This is such a nice winery about 25 minutes outside of downtown Lancaster! It is a bit off the beaten path, which makes it that much more beautiful! My friend and I found this spot online and decided to give it a try. I'm so happy we did! The bartender was so nice and helpful. She recommended the Crimson Quartette, which is a red wine blend. It was perfection so we ordered a bottle. We also got the cheese trio that comes with crackers. The three cheeses were gouda, pepperjack, and cheddar. They were good, but not great. On the other hand, the crackers were awesome! We sat outside on the patio so we could enjoy the view. It was so quiet and serene. It felt like we were in a painting! We stopped by Grandview Vineyard one afternoon for a wine tasting, and were pleasantly surprised by how good their wines are. I do not typically find PA or NJ wines enjoyable, and was expecting a mediocre experience at Grandview. Overall, I enjoyed all the wines I tasted. I was truly impressed by the winemaking, and did not expect to come across a place like this in Lancaster County. Of the wines I had, I would recommend their Cab Sauv, Crimson Quartette and Diamond Dust. We would have liked to taste the Grande Rouge, Grandview's flagship wine; however, it was not available at the time. Tastings are $6 for 6 selections which is very affordable. Indoor and outdoor seating are available, and they've got a beautiful deck outside with a great view of the vineyard. On the deck, they've got heat lamps and tables that open up into fire pits, which is great for winter enjoyment. read more

Driving up, I wasn't confident I was at the right place (but it's where my GPS led me). It seemed like I was driving to a wine processing place / farm, but I kept driving until the very end of the parking lot (since I'd already driven an hour to get there)... and that's where the tasting room is. So the drive-up is awkward, but once you park (at the very end of the road) you're fine. I would like to have sat outside, but it smelled horribly of cows. (The whole town did. Probably just the season for it? - end of March.) The view is pretty, yes. But the view is their vineyard and then (across the vineyard) people's homes & yards... which makes sense, since my GPS took me through the neighborhood to get there. It's a nice view, though. I went on a weekday, and there was one other group of 3 people finishing up their wine tasting at the table by the picture window. Their voices echoed so loudly down the narrow tasting room, so I sat as far from them as I could. (Once they left, I moved to the picture window which was so peaceful.) I can't imagine how loud it could be on a crowded day. They offered 3 fixed tasting menus. I get it, although I'd prefer to pick my own tastings according to my preferences. It was $8 for 5 tastings of either all-white or all-red, or $10 for 5 tastings of a mixed menu of Estate tastings. I opted for the Estate one - I figured let's see what they're all about! The wine pourer brought the tray of tastings and told me about each one. I appreciated that they provide water to drink, as well as a jug to pour out any wine I didn't feel like finishing. I liked the first wine (Oak Chardonnay), but wasn't a fan of the others that I tasted. That's okay - that's what a tasting is all about! I wanted to buy a bottle, to be nice, but they were so pricey. So I bought a bottle of Margarita wine ($18) to share with friends at home - we enjoyed it (a fun twist on wine & margarita). Next time I go, I'd like to try one of the other tastings (an all-white or an all-red). They do have some food offerings. But since I have food sensitivities, I am glad I ate before I arrived. In the email per discussion A table was to be saved as per email for seven people. When our party arrived.. We were informed no table was available and we could stand or sit on opposite sides and scatter.... Beyond disappointed in this place. Mandi your employees should have done better job at accommodating a party that had requested reservations. A table should have been saved for us. Because we reserved it. This was a nice winery to stop at. At first I was a bit confused when we pulled up. We seen people coming out of their vehicles dressed up for an occasion. They had a wedding going on but it was at the lower part of the vineyard. We were able to walk in and choose a table. They provide you a list of wines to choose from. Either a flight of dry or sweet wines. My wine had the sweet and I had the dry. We traded off amongst each other. All of the wines from dry to sweet were good. Some were a bit sweeter for me. We purchased several bottles to go home. I liked the winery, it was nicely setup. It's small inside, but they appear to have outside sitting on the deck as well, but it was cold when we went. Prices for wine is reasonable. The wine tasting is unique. You pick you wines, the young lady who was extremely nice, walked us through each wine, told us what you would get from each tasting and poured us a glass of wine to sample. Afterwards, they ask if you want a glass or bottle at your table. We were trying to get as many wines as possible, else I would have stayed for a glass. I've always liked this winery. It is a beautiful venue and we went a few of their wines. The downside is always the staff. We stopped in this evening with our kids and did a tasting. Our waitress was great but as we were leaving there was plenty of staff standing near/ at the back door and they just stared at us as we were leaving. Took a trip to PA and found this beautiful vineyard. Unfortunately 2 days after we left, $406 was charged to my card. There was a mixup of someone paying our bill and they will not do anything about it. This is why I am always hesitant of giving my card to business to save in a computer for a "tab". They should not be able to charge someone's card for a tab without being consulted or signing for the transaction. Check your bank after coming here! read more

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon on one of the first sunny warm spring days and they were quite busy and yet every server we encountered was so helpful and gracious that we didn't mind having to wait just a little to be seated or for our food and drink order. All the waiters were helping out and we had a few help us. Each one was very service oriented and helpful. We sat on the deck with a terrific view and drank some very good wines. We first ordered a flight of recommended tastings with cheese and chocolate which was a unique way to taste the wine and added to the experience. We ordered some delicious appetizers along with glasses of wine we selected from our tasting experience and also a chocolate shot of wine as dessert - something else unique! We stopped here with our out of town friends yesterday. We had great service and did a tasting. Per the norm, it was 6 bucks for 6 wines and honestly it is more than worth it! Their wine is excellent! Out of the 6 there were 3 that I wasn't in love with, but that's the point of a tasting. You aren't going to love every wine! We decided on the margarita wine to share on the patio. Their patio is beautiful. The other patrons leave you alone, it's a chill atmosphere. The service is also quick and friendly, which always makes it better. They have very nice dry wine here. I particularly liked the Pinot Gris which is a new wine. We've gone here several times and have never been disappointed in anything. They do allow outside food, which is awesome! Just no outside alcohol, obviously. They also sell local cheeses and crackers. Sometimes they even offer chocolate shots, so it's a chocolate shot cup with wine in the middle. They didn't have these yesterday, but we've had them in the past. If you are looking for a relaxing afternoon, this should certainly be on your list of places to go. read more

Made our first visit to the winery. I live in York, 25 years now, and never knew this place existed. We really enjoyed the deck, the view and the music. The Pinot Noir was great and we brought home a bottle of Cab Sav to try. Pricing is normal for local wineries and the quality is there, so far. This venue seemed to over-promise and un-deliver. Promised the cocktail tables would be set up in the morning and showed up to them in storage. During the ceremony the winery had a live band playing, which could be heard all the way down at the altar. When asked if they could stop for a couple of minutes, the response was no. So the ceremony and moment of silence for the bride and groom had the soundtrack of some classic rock in the background. Overall was disappointed with how the venue treated the bride/groom. read more

We have been several times since to enjoy great wine and sit out on their back deck overlooking the vines. In the colder months they have personal gas fireplaces to sit around. I had a group of 14 visiting Grandview. I called a month ahead to inform them of our group coming for a tasting. I was informed to e-mail them, which I did. I did not receive a response back for a few days, so I had to e-mail them again. I then received a response, and they took our reservation for the date and time. I again e-mailed to ask about how long to expect to be there for the tasting. I never received a response back. When we arrived, they were confused and were not set up or ready for us. They did set up tables for us after we arrived, but it took longer than expected. We received our wine tastings, which were actually yummy. Unfortunately, because of the bad communication and the lack of time, we went over our allotted time which I had planned to be there; and it set our group tour back over a half an hour. It would not be that big of an issue, except we got charged by the bus company for going over. Just be sure to plan accordingly if you're in a big group. Give yourself some extra time. Had I not had reservations, I would have been more understanding with the situation. That being said, the location itself was very beautiful; the staff was very nice; the wines were delicious; and their slushies were yummy. Although the venue is very pretty, the wines were nothing special. The tasting was limited to a choice of either 6 dry or 6 sweet ones. Our party tried both and none of the wines stood out. This is my second review one year after my first review, which was a 5. We visited the winery again for their anniversary party. We were shocked at how high their prices were, an increase of more than a dollar or two. We ended up buying and sharing a bottle of gruner veltliner for $19, not the $25 of most of their wines. While we like their wines, their prices are too high for the quality. We all agreed we wouldn't return due to their price increases. read more

Visited the grandview vineyard coming through Pennsylvania on a trip from New York and wasn't disappointed. We each had the 6 wine tasting (which was only $6 each) and the 3 artisan cheese plate which was an excellent compliment. Our server (wish I got her name) was incredible. She worked with my wife & I to come up with the perfect wine choices for us by mixing our favorites while encouraging us to try some new choices (after all that's the fun of a tasting). She also did a nice job of explaining to us how some of the wines that we enjoyed were made. At the end of the day we walked away with 3 bottles (the black Jack cherry, the diamond dust 750, & the Blushing Ambrosia). We had a great spot inside by the window with a great view of the vineyard but the outdoor is also set up really nicely with a fire pit individually set up at each table.
