Crosswinds is more of a tasting room. Don't expect a vineyard because it isn't there. They grow their grapes in another location. However, you will get to meet some friendly people who are glad to explain their wine to you. The tasting fee is $5 and it's $7 if you want to keep the glass. The tasting includes your choice of five wines and you're also given a small bowl of pretzels to nibble on. We also got to sample the apple wine which wasn't on the tasting list for us to choose from. They make a few fruit wines in addition to regular wines. My favorite wine was the blueberry wine which is what I ended up buying. If I'm in the area again, I could see myself stopping by, especially for that blueberry wine.

Fun ending to a long day

Felt rushed through a tasting of 5 wines for $7. We were there a total of 10 minutes. Wines are ok, nothing great. Will not return.

Unfriendly, expensive, love their smoke breaks. Brag about their awards....lots of wine wins awards.

I whole-heartedly recommend the tasting either before or after the tour itself. The tour features what you would expect about the Hershey family and the company itself. I appreciated the treasure hunt sprinkled in for the kids to keep their interest. BTW, admission is free if you stay in the Hershey hotels, so keep that in mind when planning your trip.

The museum is nice but I enjoyed the additional experiences more. The museum cost me $16 and has some cool information about Milton Hershey's life. It has a few historical items, like Hershey's crib and his White Star ticket receipt. There are a few interactive exhibits that I think would keep a kid's attention. It mostly summarizes Hershey's time and his impact in the town he created. If I had limited time I would skip the museum and do the extra activities instead. The drinking chocolate tasting feels like a secret and was so fun! It cost me $13 and it comes with six different drinking chocolates from around the world. It's fun and delicious to try them all! I also did an experience in the Chocolate Lab. It cost $16 (although I got a combo museum- Chocolate Lab ticket for $28). You sit with your group at different tables and wear an apron and a hair net. You make a small chocolate item- we just poured chocolate into a mold and added sprinkles. Then the hosts give a great educational talk about how chocolate is made and answers questions. It's very informative and for the price I thought it was a steal! If you come, I would evaluate all of the options and don't feel like you have to do them all. However, for the prices any of them are a good value.

Then I found Turkey Hill Ice cream Experience only 30min away from Lancaster, and decided to visit. We bought the double scoop experience (comes with ice cream test lab) and obviously that was the highlight of the place! The test lab is about 45min experience and the whole thing with self-guided tour takes about 1hr 30min to 2 hours depending how crowded it is. The visit was fun and of course my 5-year-old daughter had a great time eating tons of ice cream!

Admission prices are reasonable, and who doesnt love unlimited samples of iced tea, and lemonade, icecream on a hot day. Vistors have a choice between one scoop, two scoop, or three scoop attraction. I choose one scoop; hilights of my visit- learning history of Turkey Hill, process of icecream being made, creating a virtual icecream flavor, watching the production , live from interactive camera in one of the exhibits. Be sure to take the few moments, to watch the introduction video. My favorite ice cream sample flavors were Graham Slam & Blueberry Lemon Pound Cake. An attraction must, well visiting Lancaster, PA. My recommendation would be too sell a few more flavors that you offer , with unlimited tastings. My favorite was orange icedtea.

Grandview Vineyard was a happy detour that turned into a new annual tradition. We visit Lancaster…read moreevery year and decided to switch gears and stop here and honestly, it was one of those why didn't we do this sooner? moments. Set on rolling Pennsylvania countryside, the views are straight out of a postcard. It's peaceful, scenic, and exactly the kind of place where time slows down (in the best way). The wine list is well thought out, approachable yet refined, with something for every palate. Nothing felt mass-produced or rushed and each pour had intention behind it. The staff deserves real credit: knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely proud of what they're pouring. They guide you without the wine snob energy, which makes the experience feel relaxed and inviting, whether you're a casual sipper or a full-on wine enthusiast. This stop elevated our Lancaster trip and added a fresh layer to a tradition we already love. Grandview Vineyard isn't just a winery, it's an experience worth building into your itinerary. We'll be back. No question. For photos, wine highlights, and more travel-food stops worth the drive, check out @travelingtastebuds_

Grandview Vineyard was a nice place to enjoy beverages out on the deck!…read more Initially, I was surprised by the views once we stepped outside at the Vineyard. It doesn't necessarily look like that as you drive up. The only downfall is that there is only one restroom. The pricing seemed decent. I was super pleased that they had a small selection of mocktails. Their strawberry lemonade spritz wasn't too sweet or too tart! It was just right. My friends seemed to enjoy all the wine choices! Additionally, the crab pretzel was amazing!! The charcuterie boards looked worth it. Plenty of seating and a live band was set up around 6/630, but we left just as they were coming in. Highly recommend and would come back (even as a sober lady!).
