We love this place! We checked out Armstrong on a whim on our way home from something. We are so glad we checked it out. It is gorgeous, had live music, and the prices were decent. We got flights to try out a few wines, which were excellent. The staff was kind and answered our questions. On a whim we decided to checkout the Armstrong Valley Winery-and what a wonderful experience! Jane, Charlie, and Sis were incredibly welcoming and helpful in selecting wines for our tasting flights. We nestled into the leather chairs near the fireplace and took in the lovely atmosphere. The tables each had a game or deck of cards and delightful conversations filled the room. Great Winery in Dauphin County outside of Halifax PA! Nice drive on a country road to visit this charming little winery that has various blends of wines that may fit everyone's tastes! From Cabernet to Chardonnay from fruity to Ice Wine or as they call it Late Harvest! You can definitely pick you grape or fruits or berries! Great selections and they do have an in-store supply to purchase! They are not doing tasting right now but try a flat of your favorite or better yet try one of something different! Friendly staff and they do ship out of state butI do think you should ask them where they shop to before you purchase! OH MY GOSH. The cutest winery space! Came in on a Friday with me and my dog. In January. Was expecting to just hunker down at an outdoor table. The woman who was working told me it was okay to bring my dog in, on leash, which was wonderful. She was super friendly and attentive. The wine was delicious! They grow almost all their own grapes. They have a huge list of wine options. They have two different flight types - 1.5 or 3 oz pours. Plus, a few little cheese plate options. I ended up taking home 6 bottles! Strawberry wine is a must have! Of course, all of their wines are delicious! If you are into fruit wine, any fruit flavor is amazing (all fruit wines I've had are sweet, except for a semi-sweet blackberry). The strawberry wine is award-winning! If fruity wines aren't your thing, AV has a large selection of other whites, reds, and blush wines as well so if you're looking for dry, sweet, semi-sweet, or semi-dry, you'll find something you love here! I love the semi-sweet Polecat and semi-dry Rutter Red (probably my all time favorite). Their Niagara white is amazing as well! I've seriously probably tried nearly all of their wines and enjoyed all of them. They also have sparkling champagne and cider as well! The property is beautiful. It's located on an old farm in the valley a few miles outside of Halifax, and the winery has such a cozy and laid-back atmosphere. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available, and there are lots of events in the summer. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. There is a parking lot available. read more

Went to a wedding and a staff member interrupted the vows to look at the couple's vow box. Nothing else, just to look at the box. The videographer has it all on film. I thought that was rude and disrespectful. As a guest, I was appalled. It would be the equivalent of someone having their ceremony at a church. And some random person, walking behind the minister, right as they were exchanging their vows! I mean who does this? To look at the vow box? read more

The winery is incredibly beautiful. The staff , especially Sue, are wonderful. They allowed our family and friends to have a wedding rehearsal dinner on the premises in lieu of the wedding and they were very accommodating . The deck behind the stone barn was a relaxing and inviting location for our dinner. Sue helped everyone with plans for the next day's events , efficiently directing the wedding party and in consideration of everyone's needs. I highly recommend this venue for any party or event. Only a 30 minute drive north of Harrisburg. And what a gorgeous scenic drive it is! read more

We just love the winery. We are planning to visit this winery Saturday the 22 nd. Next Weekend. We were there six months ago and need to restock our supply. The tasting room has a wonderful woman, sorry, I am horrible with names, but she was so informative and her personality was fantastic. I went to Armstrong Valley Winery today as part of the Hershey Harrisburg Cornucopia Wine Fest. The staff was very friendly and polite. The wine was delicious! They have some great dry wines (my boyfriend loved their Cabernet Franc.) They also had delicious fruit wines like blackberry and cranberry (which I bought a bottle of) and semi-sweet and semi-dry wines too. They're great for friends/family with different taste in wines. Although Armstrong Valley Winery is about an hour away from me I'm sure we will be back! read more

I visited this winery during the Corona epidemic and was happy to find them open and observing precautions. The wine tastings were generous, and the wines we picked out were delicious. After our tasting, taken on the front porch overlooking the vineyards across the street, we took a self-tour of the historic property. It was all so beautiful. Joanne, John and Jake could not have been more hospitable. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. Stand out wines included the Armstrong Red, the un-oaked (dry) Chardonnay, and the Chambourcin. They have too many wines for us to taste on one trip so we will have to plan another trip there soon. I encourage everyone to visit and support this winery during these challenging times. It will do your soul good to get out there. read more

Two words...orange wine!! How can you NOT love Armstrong?? They are super friendly, they take the time to give you descriptions of their wine, and it is not pricey at all. Did I mention orange wine yet?? How about polecat??!! This place is a little off the beaten path, but so worth the trip. And the scenery is just beautiful. They also have roughly 25 cats roaming around, which is a nice added touch. Again ORANGE WINE people!! Don't miss out on this :-). read more

Loved this winery! Went to a wine tasting event here. All the wines were so good. None my husband or I disliked. Bought a glass of the Cha Cha. We couldn't decide what we wanted so The Rutter Red semi-dry won us over and we left with a bottle. Staff was kind and atmosphere was beautiful. Nice patio to sit and relax on. There was music and food and vendors there, too. Well done. Close to an hour and a half drive for us, but we'd go back for sure. read more

My husband and I discovered this gem when we decided to do a few wine tastings this past weekend. We had heard from a relative about their Orange wine and decided this is one of the places we should stop. The staff was knowledgeable and so friendly that they helped make it a really great experience and set the bar as far as the other places we were planning to go that day. Very nice winery. Have a great variety of wines. We had a really good time during our tasting. Bought several bottles to take home. They have added on to the building and made a really nice upstairs for bands, comedians and such. I only wish we were closer. But we will make the trip back once in a while I'm sure. read more

Beautiful venue, good wine, nice place to visit. The staff has always been nice, however the owners really seem to have an attitude. If you have an event there and expect to party - don't. At a wedding I was recently at there, the owners told the dj to turn down the music before it was even dark out. The noise ordinance doesn't require quiet until 10pm and I'm pretty sure the owners weren't paying the dj. The lesson? Nice place to visit but I wouldn't throw a party there. read more
