Tröegs is a cornerstone of the Hershey area and well known around here. The lineup covers their standards alongside newer, more experimental beers and ciders, so if you're there to drink, you'll find plenty of variety.
The space is large, with seating inside and out, meeting rooms, and events throughout the year. They offer tours, and the gift shop sells merchandise along with their beer to take home. It's a good place to spend an afternoon, whether you take the tour or settle in and people-watch. Tourists come through, but it still feels like a very large neighborhood spot, and everyone is friendly.
If you're waiting on a seasonal release like their Mexican lager, check the gift shop. In my experience, new releases show up there before they reach local grocery stores, so it's a good place to get them first, or at least to find out they're out.
The food is decent, but set your expectations accordingly. Think upscale bar food, like brisket sandwiches, rather than a full restaurant menu. I haven't eaten there often, because I'm usually stopping through or heading to an event for a beer or two before moving on.
The one real drawback is noise. When it's busy, it's very loud, but that's what you'd expect from a big warehouse space with concrete floors and hard standing tables.
Parking is plentiful, with a huge lot next to the building. On warm-weather weekends and at other peak times, expect to walk a bit. The lot is long, stretches well away from the entrance, and feels like several lots stitched together.
Other than the noise, I don't have anything negative to say. It's well worth a visit.
