The Mill in Hershey is solidly on my list of preferred brunch places. It is the kind of spot where a couple can go for brunch, sit at the bar, have a well made Bloody Mary, and get a unique food experience without dealing with the louder post church crowd and big groups that can take over some brunch places. The atmosphere works. It feels like a mill, but in the way an upscale, intentionally themed restaurant should. It is not cheap, but it is worth it. I have been here a number of times, both when it is quiet and when there are several groups in the room, and the experience has been consistently good. If I had one caution, it is accessibility and parking flow. The parking lot is long and runs parallel to the street, and the entrance has a staircase up to the door that could be challenging for some people. I assume they have an alternative entry option, but it is something to be aware of. Service is consistently professional and well paced, and it is personable without feeling overly casual. Overall, highly recommended. read more

Visiting town for work and came across this spot online and so glad we did! The atmosphere is rustic-chic with an amazing patio that really sets the tone. We started with the beef barley soup, which was fantastic and loaded with generous chunks of filet. For our mains, we ordered the crab cakes and they absolutely delivered; two hefty 4 oz cakes made with pure crab and no filler whatsoever. Truly outstanding. Our server was friendly and fast. We chose The Mill for my daughter's graduation dinner, and it was absolutely the right choice. A huge shout-out to Madi, who handled my lengthy initial phone call with patience, kindness, and professionalism. She offered helpful options and perks for our group, stayed in touch with me by text leading up to the dinner, and made it incredibly easy to keep her updated without having to step away and disturb the graduation ceremony or the people around me. That level of customer service is rare and appreciated. When we arrived after the ceremony, they took our group right in with no stress, no confusion, and everything flowed smoothly -- even with separate checks and a larger party. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was excellent, and the portions were generous. But what stood out most was how seamless they made an important family celebration feel. We visit The Mill for dinner each time we are in Hershey. Love this place! You definitely need to plan ahead and secure a reservation because this place is always packed. The floor plan is open, and you're surrounded by wood, so depending on the other parties present, sometimes this place can be a little on the noisy side. The food is always, always delicious. Solid and standard. We weren't left impressed but had a good meal. The Mill will not disappoint, but we left hoping for more. A evening in Hershey with Trans Siberian Orchestra (amazing show!), entered into an after show dinner at The Mill. We were promptly seated with reservation, and greeted by our server/bartender. He kept with our needs, but appeared rushed and was not engaging. Started with calamari and oysters- crisp calamari, no sog, what you'd want from a calamari. The oysters were fresh, not too large or briny. Accompaniments were nothing of interest. Entrees, if I can find a scallop dish that will typically be a choice. There's a few staples that are judge-worthy of a restaurant and believe scallops are one of those types of dishes. Scallops atop a squash puree and balsamic glaze. The scallops were clean, but needed some more sear. The sear would've been key, since sat on a loose puree, to give texture. Flavors were pleasant, on the sweeter side, just needed dimension. However, my husband loved the duck dish. CRUNCHY!!! He ate it like fried chicken, lololol. Fall, hearty flavors of with the crispy duck on stuffing with carrots. I worked with Nicole, Event Coordinator, to plan a dinner at The Mill as the finale for our annual board retreat, from start to finish the experience was fantastic. Nicole was a pleasure to work with. We had a party of 25 people, we were in the Swarta Room. Our servers for the evening was Ryan and Amy, they were attentive, friendly and made our evening a true pleasure. The food was fantastic and display for our houderves was beautiful, no details were missed. Everyone raved about the food, the spirits were very reasonably priced and delicious and the desserts were so good I brought it back home with me. The portions were ample, several people from our party packed a to go bag and brought their leftovers back to NJ. Everything about our experience was top notch, I can't wait to visit Hershey again and when I do I will be coming to The Mill again. read more

This was my first time at The Mill. You couldn't tell it was a restaurant from the outside, it looks like an old factory/farmhouse. The inside was very trendy, "industrial glam". The service was excellent and quick. We ordered drinks, the blueberry lemon drop lacked blueberry flavor but it was strong. The calamari and the baguette were absolutely delicious. The smoked brisket was tender and flavorful. The wagyu lasagna came highly recommended, however, I felt like it was too much meat in proportion to noodles. The flavor was there but the lasagna texture wasn't, and I was a bit disappointed. We ended dinner with a snickerdoodle crème brûlée that was the perfect combination of sweet and creamy with the classic sugar coating. As much as I would love to be a type A traveler, I'm just not. Naturally I did not think restaurants would be jammed the closer to the park you got. If you want a sweet little spot that feels fancy but is off the beaten path and quiet, this is your place. The food was great, I got the mahi and a martini. We sat upstairs and it was lovely, beautiful wooden interior with a full bar. It was winter, but the outside had the cutest covered porch with lights that would be great for warmer weather. A great local farm to table restaurant here in Hershey! We came here for our anniversary and enjoyed our time. There was so much love put in to restoring this Mill to be an accurate account of a mill but it feels clean and cozy. The patio is LOVELY. It's so comfy here and enjoyable to just sit and be. We started with the oysters, which for being in central Pennsylvania were good! We're from the east coast so we're spoiled, they were a bit overly salty and a bit bland compared to what we're used to. But not everyone can get oysters fresh off the bay. We then shared the pear salad which was LOVELY. Expertly dressed and a beautiful show case of a summer salad. We then got the brisket and prime rib. Which were both amazing. Both were absolutely melt in your mouth and delectably seasoned and prepared. The Mac and cheese that paired with the brisket was Smokey and rich and the green beans with the steak was addictive. The crème brûlée was also wonderful. Very creamy and crisp. The food here is definitely where this place thrives. Where I'm really let down by is the drinks. They were really not fabulous. The summer drink was exactly okay. But the espresso martini I couldn't have more 2 sips of. I don't know if it was the bartender that was on tonight? But 4/4 drinks we had were not delicious. We were seated on the lower level in a corner area which provided a bit of privacy. Our server (Shay) was knowledgeable and helpful, as well as a bit entertaining (perfect for this foursome). We started with a signature cocktail each. This was followed by two shared appetizers which were very good. Entrees were ordered, and we enjoyed a 2023 Malbec (Felino) from Vina Cobos. This was highly rated we went i have a walker went in the bottom there were people at tables but no one to tell us where to check on finally somebody at a table after 20 mins said there's an elevator After sitting at our table i ordered a mich ultra which was skunk couldnt drink and my fiancé ordered an Aperol drink. It was horrible. We asked was the charcuterie board was and was told a whole bunch of good meats and many did cheeses. 27 bucks and when it came i coulda done better with 10 bucks. Who opens and peels a clementine and placed it on a plate walnuts salami manchengo idk what kind of cheese grapes and a hard pretzel. Horrible. For dinner i hat the duck which was so over cooked i almost broke a tooth my fiancés pork chop was so dry she could barely cut it. My family took my mother to The Mill for her dinner and we are so glad we did. This restaurant is perfect for a family dinner. Ten of us enjoyed comfortable seating. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Even though a few of the people in our party were late, our server, Colin, was so kind and engaging. The service was impeccable. But the best thing about The Mill is that the food rivals a high end steakhouse with its taste, but the prices were more affordable. I ordered crab cakes that were actual sumptuous, jumbo lump crab cakes, not dried and tasteless filler. Nice! My niece had the brisket I was eyeing and she said it was delicious. Everyone in our party loved their meals. I'm looking forward to returning for a visit to The Mill later this year. read more

We were looking for a new date night place and the mill popped up in a search. Decided to give it a try based on other reviews and we're so happy we did! Made reservations via Open Table since it looked like it can fill up fast. Entrance is located on the second floor but they do have an accessible entrance on the first floor patio if needed. We were greeted warmly and showed to our table on the third floor. (first floor was patio seating, second was casual bar/lounge and third was more quiet dining.) Atmosphere is unique, like a converted barn so its rustic chic. Our waiter Colin was phenomenal, recommending specials, small plates, drink pairings, everything. I got a house salad with green goddess dressing and filet. Husband got the Caesar salad and brisket over mac and cheese. Salads were very fresh and flavorful while the filet and brisket were cooked to perfection. We got dessert as well, a peanut butter torte and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Over all a great, semi causal place we plan to frequent again for a celebration or date night. Staff especially Colin were all very friendly and helpful. read more

My wife and I had a fantastic meal at The Mill! We drove from New York and planned out a fun weekend of shopping and dining in Amish Country. The Mill was the highlight of our trip. We drove up to this magnificent looking restaurant and found a spot up front. We arrived early, walking inside to a beautiful and rustic dining room. I was told our table isn't ready so we went to the bar and ordered cocktails. The seasonal Fall cocktails we ordered were the Autumn Blossom Sangria and I ordered the Apple Butter Old Fashioned with Basil Hayden Toast Bourbon. Wow! Total fan We're seated downstairs, close to a gorgeous looking fireplace. The menu is farm to table, everything looks delish! I ordered a flatbread to start, Our waiter said we can order a small salad with our meals for a 4 dollar upcharge. I went with the house salad and the house smoked brisket. Both items were very good, the thick cuts of brisket was the star of the evening. The smoke was slight but was still packed with flavor, very tender and juicy. My only issue was the Mac & Cheese, it was a little mushy for my palate. My wife and I split a locally sourced chocolate ice cream, it was a perfect ending to a perfect meal.
