Service was a little slow but it was a concert night (it just seemed understaffed) but our server was friendly and very kind. They boast whiskeys from around the world and my friend ordered a unique cocktail - Bananas Foster Old Fashioned. The bar food was really good- the wings were my fave- fried but not breaded. The pretzel was so filling - meats and cheeses - like a charcuterie board. It was a great first and last stop to our concert night! We stopped at the Iberian Lounge shortly after checking in to unwind before settling into our room - at least that's what I told my friend since I needed to stall her while her bachelorette party festivities were being set up. I thought this was an ideal spot, so off we went. Iberian Lounge is located on the second floor of the hotel, off the fountain lobby across from Trevi 5. The space is kinda large for a lounge - they have a mixture of tables with soft furniture, a couple of couches, and stools at the bar. The decor has a somewhat Spanish theme (hence the name), and it matches the former hotel lobby it sits off of. In addition to the obligatory drinks, the lounge also serves food. We were gonna eat later, though, so we opted to just have the former. I was in Hershey so I wanted to try one of their signature drinks so I went with their Hershey's Kiss Signature Martini. This kinda blew my mind if I'm being honest - the drink was clear like a martini but it tasted so much like a Hershey's Kiss - my mind couldn't comprehend this as i consumed the delicious sips. Service was great, everyone was friendly and our drinks came out promptly. Overall, I had a great experience at Iberian Lounge - the drinks were fun, and the atmosphere was comfortable. After visiting the butterfly garden, we needed a drink and decided to stop by this spot, which we had passed earlier before it opened. The service was outstanding, and we absolutely loved the Bloody Mary-flavored peanuts,the server even shared the recipe with us! The drinks were strong and well-made. We sat near a group celebrating a birthday, but the atmosphere wasn't too loud, and there was plenty of seating. I noticed a large piano in the corner, so I imagine they have live music in the evenings. I ordered their version of an Espresso Martini, and it was incredible. Overall, it's a unique, dark-themed bar, good for pregaming or ending the night with a nightcap. read more

Loved this lounge for a nightcap! There are lots of tables as well as bar seating. It was hopping when we walked in, but we were able to get a table and the service was quick and efficient. We all got the signature hershey kiss martini. It was so unique! It is a clear chocolate martini with a chocolate rim and a hershey kiss. It tasted like a stronger version of a chocolate martini, without the creaminess you normally get. It was weird at first to wrap your head around, but I really liked it! You definitely can't get a drink like this anywhere but Hershey PA! They had a long list of seasonal cocktails that all looked great. Next time, I would definitely try the apple cider mule! They also have a food menu with different apps and every table got complimentary snacks which included spicy olives, bloody mary peanuts, and candied almonds. I feel like I am transported into the twenties. It reminds me almost of Art Deco and English Class Combined. A warm ambiance. A fabulous place to chat and grab a cheese plate or too. I am super picky about atmosphere and food as I am from in my opinion the culinary capitol of the world Philadelphia. I look forward to going here when I am in Hershey. Also music is jazzy/ Frank Sinatra/ big band! It is hard to find restaurant selection in this part of PA as they are spread out. We made a special trip to come here. I've been to the Iberian Lounge numerous times and this time was by far the least impressive. It is a nice place to get away from the madness of Hershey Park and enjoy a drink in the afternoon as all the tired young children filter out of the park. We took the shuttle over from the Park to the Hotel and the Iberian Lounge is tucked away on the 2nd floor in a dark room. During the holidays the room is decorated gorgeously and the fireplace crackles but in this visit is was very plain but still nice. We ordered drinks and they do have an extensive drink menu but do not have Red Bull or any energy drinks. We ordered food and then were notified it would be a 45 minutes wait...yes, after we ordered. Obviously if I had somewhere to be I would have been upset but instead I just tipped back a few more gluten-free beers and waiting for my food to arrive. It honestly didn't take 45 minutes but the food came out bland. This isn't a place for fine dining and you can't order off the other restaurant's menu even though that is the kitchen that makes the food. I would recommend the IL if you are tired of the park, need to sit down in a quiet setting, need a cocktail, and don't want to eat park food. Other than that this is not a destination that I would go out of my way to recommend. read more

We gave this place one star because our waitress was friendly. Honestly, for the price we paid for our food, it was awful. The calamari was decent, however, the plate consisted of more breaded banana peppers and la breaded lemon wedge rather than actual calamari. The Buffalo wings were rather slimy. I can honestly say the wings we make at home in our air fryer are 100x better and more flavorful. The Margherita pizza was the best thing we ordered but that's not saying much. It was lacking flavor and could definitely have benefited from some salt. My husband and I enjoyed our drinks, however, the beers listed on the menu weren't even the beers available. Overall, I would come back here again if we could sit at the bar and have a drink because the atmosphere is lovely. I would never order food here again. read more

Perfectly handsome and perfectly relaxing. We paid three visits to The Iberian Lounge during our stay at the Hershey Hotel. The coziness of this Morocco style lounge kept drawing us back. The comfortable leather chairs and sofas with polished tables provide a perfect environment to enjoy a drink or two with friends and loved ones after a day of play (no food was ordered during our visits). Service was polite and attentive during our visits. A piano man playing Saturday night just added to the relaxed atmosphere. Swanktastic! Who knew? Apparently Hershey was raking in the dough even during the depression, which is about when this gorgeous hotel and lounge were built in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. The Lounge looks nearly identical to its 1934 rendition. There is a bar off one side of the lounge that was initially a reading room during prohibition. Great atmosphere, and delicious Hershey's Chocolate drinks are served. Pricey, but definitely worth poking your head in if you're dressed the part. read more

Hung out here with coworkers prior to a work dinner meeting at the restaurant. The staff was very attentive and the drink menu was to die for!! I had such a hard time deciding ... on top of the cocktails you'd normally find there were loads of chocolate cocktails & I figured "When in Hershey's ..." so I got the Special Dark Martini. Delicious!! Oh, and there's a HUGE martini glass just when you walk in loaded with complementary Hershey kisses. I gave one to all my coworkers when I walked in. read more

The Iberian Lounge is the inner sanctum of the Hotel Hershey, the Moorish Casbah within the romanticism of the Spanish tile and stucco archways of the main lobby. Once you find the entrance and go inside, the darkness of the heavy wood and large stone fireplace envelops you and completes the passage from Central Pennsylvania to Casablanca, Morocco. Settle in at the bar, or find a plush sofa in the back, and just enjoy the transition. This is certainly what Milton S. Hershey had in mind when the hotel was designed under his close supervision. I guess he did not consider a hookah bar as part of the décor. Back then, chocolate was considered an exotic taste, with its ingredients garnered from the far reaches of the tropical world. Sitting back on smoky leather while the fire blazed, with a Courvoisier Le Cognac de Napoleon Glass Snifter in one hand, and a great rolled Cuban in the other, was the perfect stage for tales of the search for the source of the elusive cacao. This is one of the most gorgeous and romantic bars I've seen outside NYC. Lights are low; vintage music was playing, and people were ballroom dancing midday. Lots of gorgeously-dressed people were milling around, since it seemed to be the free time between a wedding and a reception (and lots of wedding stuff was going on). Excellent cocktail service from a sweet server with perfect eyebrows, and she wasn't afraid to top off my glass with the rest of the bottle, very generous of her. There is a big painted mural behind the bar. You can forget it is daytime, easily. Strangely, the wine selection was very average, with things like White Zinfandel. People are entitled to their sweet wine if they like it, but there are plenty of good sweet choices besides this. We pictured Milton Hershey and his wife sitting in the 2 velvet chairs in front of the fireplace, but sadly, she was long dead before this was built in 1933, at the height of the Depression. It is said that Hershey went ahead with this expensive project to give workers jobs, since he would be providing alms for them otherwise. read more

Fair warning: they apparently share kitchens with the other restaurants in the hotel so when busy food takes a *while*. This seemed strange and unexpected but as it is a true cocktail lounge and not a dinner spot I guess they are making due with what they have in an old building. They do not lose a star for this as we were not there for food but it is good to know for future visits. We met friends at the Iberian Lounge last Friday to exchange Christmas gifts and have a few drinks and really enjoyed our time. There was live music and the festive decorations made the room warm and inviting. We were greeted by the manager who could see we were trying to figure out where to sit and he was able to rearrange a corner of the room for us away from the performer. By the time he was done settling us in and inquiring about our evening plans, our server appeared with spicy olives & seasoned nuts and took our order. Drinks arrived promptly but apps we ordered came well after our friends arrived a half hour later, which ended up being better timing as we had time to exchange presents and clear off the small tables. The room was busy and bustling with far more children than I thought would be allowed in a cocktail lounge after sundown but the laid-back-but-professional service made our larger group feel welcomed and not like a burden. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted for a small impromptu Christmas gathering and the charming holiday vibe left a lasting impression on everyone. As hotel bars go there is more to like (and dislike) about this one than most. The lodge setting is really sweet - especially the middle fireplace with seating all around it. The terrace is a good spot for seating as well. It's not set apart from the occasional screaming kid so 1 demerit. So, as far as ambiance - it's 4 solid stars. The flip side is that the service is not the greatest. Our bartender, bless him, was the only person serving a huge din of conventioneers* so it took a good while to get a drink. You could tell people were getting impatient - low marks on staffing. A few more tap beers would be nice (3 is all they had and I am not a fan of Yuengling or Coors). *we were not conventioning but needed alcohol because of this fact. read more

Wow, what a cool and classic place! You know those old and interesting places with wood paneled walls, and timeless bar, and spot on drinks? Well they are few and far between. Yet, this is one of them. Hits all the high marks. Comfortable, attentive staff, great drinks, and the best atmosphere you'll find from here to 1930. I had the dark chocolate martini. I was hesitant cause I thought this would be a gimmick drink. But it wasn't too sweet, mixed very well, and something that you could drink fast or slow. A bit pricey, but you'd expect it given the quality of the place. Oh by the way, you may think that sitting in the big red comfy chairs in front of the fireplace is a good idea. But if there is music and dancing, you'll end up on the wrong end of the awkward stick. read more

Got a chocolate Manhattan, which was quite good in spite of the inexplicable choice to garnish it with three Craisins on a toothpick rather than the typical cherry. This was definitely our favorite place within the Hershey Hotel and stopped in both nights of our stay here. Very cozy, moody and romantic. Plush chairs, a cozy bar or small tables to sit back and relax in. A great selection of drinks and delicious finger foods. We order the antipasta both times. Don't drink here if u plan on eating at the circular restaurant. The restaurant sent us to this bar. We had one drink then they refused to serve us at the circular because they were watching us and had too much to drink at the previous bar- one round. Let us wait for a table, contemplate the drink menu, order apps and drinks then refuse alcohol. Refused to serve us after giving us a five minute tutorial on the iPad app to order drinks. This is basically a bar located inside the Hershey Hotel. They do offer a few items to dine on. Once you sit down, a tray of chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered nuts are delivered. Beer and wine list are not extensive, but they do offer quite a few chocolate drinks. The Peanut Butter Martini was quite different and appealing. Apparently they have entertainment on Saturdays only. There are a couple TVs to watch. The lit fireplace adds quite ambiance during the winter months. read more

My review is mostly for the ambiance. Stopped in on on a Friday for happy hour on the way home from a conference in Harrisburg. The hotel is gorgeous, and the bar, inviting. But my service was lacking. (Another bartender who brought my food was great, cheerful and attentive, but alas, she did not stick around.) It's pricey, which is to be expected, but the food was really disappointing. The bar menu is very sparse, and there was really nothing appealing or inventive. I was hoping for some nice appetizers - happy hour type munchies. Reluctantly ordered a personal size pizza. It was OK - certainly nothing special for $15. If you go, go and enjoy the drinks and the atmosphere. Go somewhere else for food. read more

Had need of corkscrew to open special bottle given as gift. Oddly, none found in suite. Walked back around corner to Iberian Lounge to appeal to bartender to open. He stared, took bottle, opened it, glared, handed it back, all without speaking a word. Seemed odd especially in as nice a place as Hotel Hershey. Went to the Hershey Hotel with my wife this evening after dinner to enjoy some live jazz and drinks. Unbelievable how utterly terrible the service was. We had to wait 30 minutes for a cocktail waitress to even get to our table and then another 30 for our drinks. When I pay $25 for 2 glasses of prosecco & 1 cup of coffee, I expect top notch service--it wasn't cheap. For a place that charges $300-$400 a night for a room, I am shocked that a company that postures itself as a luxury resort tolerates such terrible service. We spoke to some regulars who said that our experience was pretty typical. We won't be back. read more
