Nice lunch time restaurant in the Hilton. Lunch menu had something for everyone, really enjoyed the pickled deviled eggs and salmon salad and had a nice presentation. Sat at the bar so service was a bit slow but definitely a place to stop through if you're in town looking for a bite

Don't be alarmed at the fact that this restaurant is inside the Hilton hotel (Harrisburg) you are more than welcome to make a reservation and visit or even just walk in for that matter. It being in the hotel allows for a very clean and pristine ambiance: I've visited this establishment many times and the service, is wonderful. I enjoy sitting at the bar, but even table service they are always extremely knowledgeable with menu items and attentive. The food is delectable, from the burgers to the pizza you really can't make a bad choice. Same goes for their cocktails, if you're in the area don't skip this gem.

Basic breakfast made fancy Coming into this location, the place is docrorated very well. You get a sense that the place is trying hard to make itself look high class. The server was professional and sent my special requests to the back. None of them were honored, so I was left with a basic breakfast menu. So I go for their Buttermilk pancakes and get a cuppachino. The coffee is okay, not overly bitter but perfectly functional. Pancakes took about 10 minutes to come out. I took pics and dug in, and the pancakes were perfectly servicable. Fluffy, tender, and balanced. The syrup was oddly flavored with butter extract and the unsalted butter was flavored with vanilla bourbon. The breakfast menu is very much standard fare, as is the breakfast buffet. If anything, the buffet has more and better choices than their ala cart menu. Their ala cart menu is lacking, but for breakfast they're fine.

Dined here 3 times now and always a good experience. Two times for breakfast and once for dinner. They have the best breakfast buffet I have eaten at this year! Service has been consistently good. The open dining area connected with the bar and into the hotel. Would definitely recommend for breakfast alone and with the buffet you can get custom made omelets and Belgian waffles.

This reaturant surprised me because it's actually in a hotel! Very cute ambiance and plenty of seating at the bar, high top, or booths. I went at an odd time in the afternoon for early dinner and they only had a limited menu. It was a bit of a let down but they had enough options to order from. The Caesar salad was delicious and was served with a giant Parmesan crisp which was enjoyable! The fish tacos were packed with flavor and toppings. There was a big drink selection and everything was made perfectly. Had to give it 4 stars because the ambiance and prices were grand but it didn't match the food taste and quality!

Not your average hotel restaurant. Enjoyed post concert drinks and dessert. The mini truffles were divine. such friendly and attentive service that returned for a delicious brunch the next morning (and had the pleasure of the same waiter) A very classy spot to enjoy when downtown Harrisburg.

Ad Lib is the more casual cousin to the Harrisburg Hilton's 1700 Degrees restaurant. Like it's more formal counterpart, the food is excellent and service is attentive without being intrusive. On a recent vist; my companion and I both enjythe Ad Lib burger. Both were cooked to perfection and featured crispy house fries on the side Ad Lib has a variety of seating options including the bar. There are several flat screens in the space (low volume) for those who'd like to keep an eye on sports or the news. Prices are a little higher than you may find elsewhere in Harrisburg ($15 for the burger and fries). However, they are on par with most hotel restaurants and Ad Lib's quality is worth the price

Brussel Sprouts (no aioli) and Cauliflower Curry flat bread (no cheese)

It's been said in other reviews, not your typical hotel restaurant- This place is good. Innovative and they have delicious vegetables in every dish, which is becoming hard to find. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and the cauliflower curry flat bread was a mix of great flavors on super crispy flat bread, kinda perfect. I don't eat dairy and I was super happy with these dishes made Dairy Free. I'll be very happy with my left overs for dinner. I didn't leave any room for desert, but I hope to try to Mole Beignets next time.

Had a great burger here for lunch. Most menu items give a twist to typical food and may not be for everyone. I suggest checking out the menu before you go. Service was on point and all 6 of us were happy with our visit.

Came in for Valentine's Day. Appetizer was the Sticky Pork Belly - delicious and good to share! I got the Boar Sausage Flatbread (more like a pizza), and my partner ordered the Lamb Shepherds Pie, which she loved. We got a Pavlova for dessert- absolutely perfect. Nice selection of craft beer, too. Service was excellent and the place looked fresh and tidy. Definitely worth your time if you're in the area!

I love this establishment in the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers! Ad Lib is classy and comfy at the same time. The interior decorator did a great job making this place interesting and welcoming, with a modern, airy vibe. Seating is varied--booths, chairs, stools, benches. Waitstaff provide outstanding service, with regulat (not pesky) followup. Yelpers enjoyed an evening here in April thanks to the exceptional coordination of area Yelp manager Kristina G. and Ad Lib staff. Yelpers get to try an establishment 's variety and then return later to focus eating efforts on a personal favorite! The menu changes to keep diners coming back! Brussel sprouts are a nice accompaniment to a meal, as Ad Lib differentiates theirs from the SOS (same old stuff) with dried cranberries and a maple twist. Plantain chips are unique here. Fried chicken wings are terrific. Wagyu beef, sliders, tartare, and ribs anyone? They melt in your mouth. Homemade guacamole delights. Add homemade tavern chips, pork rinds, or garlic herb fries. Save room for a plethora of fresh, gourmet desserts to please all tastes, including chocoholics, fruit lovers, and cheesecake fanatics. Try the minis so you can enjoy several sweet treats. There are several good happy hour drink specials. The bar is very nice, and makes for good conversations. Have a great visit to Ad Lib, where trying new things is their thing!

The Review: Men in the Kitchen…read more My reviews are different. I do not announce myself or tell anyone. I am here to do a review!! It was a rainy Sunday, and I was working up a hunger while driving Uber for content. I went to three different spots before I finally found the place I should've gone to first. The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are so good that I want to find another establishment just like it, but so far--at least on this day--nothing in the area can beat it. I don't know why I treat this restaurant like a good wife that a man might constantly cheat on but always returns to. I'm not saying that I actually cheat; I'm just using that for context! So, I found myself once again at Two Men in the Kitchen. Since it was Easter Sunday, they offered a buffet or a special limited menu. There was fish and chicken wings available, and I chose the wings. Since I don't eat meat often, I asked for their "House Sauce," and it is by far amazing. I paired the wings with the 3-cheese baked mac & cheese and sweet potatoes. I went for the sides first because I wanted to save the best for last--I already knew that house sauce was going to be incredible, especially on the chicken and greens eggrolls they have. The mac & cheese was great; it had a crunchy outside yet remained soft in the middle, and the cheese pull was amazing. The sweet potatoes were definitely homemade; I could tell because every slice was a different cut, which I appreciate because it proves they didn't come out of a can. Now for the best part: the chicken wings. They were cooked perfectly--neither overdone nor underdone, with no pink on the inside. Everything was pure. I did happen to taste a little bit of Old Bay on the wings, so I asked the chef if that was part of the secret seasoning. He said no, so maybe someone slipped some in by accident, but it didn't stop me from indulging. I also ordered one of their house special drinks--a Hennessy and rum cocktail. It was a very pretty drink, but unfortunately, I am not a fan of Hennessy. Personally, I think it tastes like house keys or licking a brass knob when you're a kid. On my scale, the drink was a 2 out of 5; I just don't think rum and cognac should mix, but that's just my opinion. The atmosphere was amazing and the bathrooms were clean. I will definitely visit this place again and again, although sometimes it is hard to tell if they are open because of the heavily tinted windows. For those who know the area, this is the old firehouse in Harrisburg. I was told that on the weekends, they clear some tables to create a dance floor, which is a nice touch. There is plenty of bar seating and booths, making it a kid-friendly environment. The only thing I don't like--which applies to every restaurant on 2nd Street--is that it's very hard to find parking. The Scale * Location & Parking: (3/5) * Staff & Engagement: (4/5) * Food Consistency: (4.7/5)

You have to do it online, via text, and it won't allow you to purchase any time less than an hour. Kinda sucks for those carrying out. Totally not the restaurant's fault though. I got the jerk quesadilla without the jerk ranch sauce. They don't serve this or their regular quesadilla with salsa or pica de gallo so it does taste a little bland. The jerk flavor isn't coming thru for me. It's a little disappointing but it's also just a quesadilla so I don't expect much. I'm not deterred though. I'd be interested in trying more on the menu. It seemed like a cozy place to sit and eat. I'd also like to eat there on my next visit. I'll update my review when I do.

The cocktails alone are worth the visit. The bartenders really know their craft, and the alcohol selection, including local beers, is solid. My only real issue is brunch. Every time I've visited after 12 p.m. (brunch is served until 2 p.m.), there's been a problem--either they're no longer taking food orders, the kitchen is backed up with a 45-minute wait, or they've simply run out of food. It comes off unprofessional and could definitely be handled better. I've noticed this becoming a growing trend during brunch service in general, and while some people suggest arriving as early as 10 a.m. for the best experience, consistency matters. If you're offering brunch, you should be properly staffed and prepared to serve guests throughout the full service window. Period. It's especially frustrating when you've traveled specifically to experience their culinary offerings and hit a wall like that. Overall, if you're looking for a spot that feels like a New York-style dive bar with elevated drinks and solid food--if you catch it at the right time--this place delivers. Just plan strategically if brunch is your goal.

My waitress (Danyell) immediately took my order of shrimp cocktail and the prime rib special. The food is where the experience soured. The shrimp cocktail (6 pieces) was cooked well and arrived chilled. The issue I had was with the garlic aeoli, cocktail sauce, and old bay seasoning dust that was generously sprinkled on top of the shrimp. Both sauces were under seasoned and the dry old bay seasoning added an odd texture and taste that detracted from th flavor of the shrimp cocktail. The prime rib was extremely tough, had no flavor, and was missing the cap. This was a big disappointment as I expected more from award winning chef Dougie Krick. The meal included mashed potatoes, however, as they do not offer a baked potato, I substituted for steak fries which arrived greasy. Total with tip was $85. Given the quality of the meal served, not a value. The server was very attentive and frequently refilled my drink without asking.

Mick's seems designed to capitalize on its location and the warmer weather, so my winter visit…read moreprobably is not the best representation of what it is like when it is at its peak. I can see this being a much bigger draw in summer when the area is active and people are looking for an easy place to eat and drink. The food was good, service was reasonably quick, and the restaurant was clean. It was not very busy when we were there, but the layout felt like it could get cramped and difficult to navigate when the place is crowded. I do not know the origins of the restaurant, but it has that dropped in feel, like something that would fit just as easily near an outlet mall. It is a straightforward American bar and grill type stop. Nothing was wrong with it, but nothing stood out either. If the sports bar vibe is your thing, you will probably enjoy it. The setup gets weird once the back tables are filled because it's tougher to get to the bathroom. Service was okay. Had to wait for a drink refill and then once the check was paid, never came back again. Which I can understand not asking if you need anything every 5 minutes, but one more drink check would've been nice. Food is basic bar food. My wrap was filled nicely though. Their ranch is solid but on the runnier side. Onion rings were good but the second my plate came out I could see the pool of grease on my plate. Maybe let the onion rings drip a little more before you put them on the plate. Chips that come with the sandwiches are basic kettle cooked, not fresh. $3 to upgrade to fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings.
