Bar service was very good but we can't recognize anyone here as the check shows "Bar B". How about adding names to the tabs? Food was good beginning with the deviled eggs, then the beet salad and the mushroom and truffle oil pizzas. Nice beer and selections though a small pour in the wines (IMHO). We were traveling through town so I booked on Open Table. We decided to stay at the bar and advised two different hosts that we had arrive early but our Open Table reservation was cancelled anyway. What a gem! The night before leaving Harrisburg I was looking for somewhere special to eat and I stumbled upon this restaurant that is a multi purpose space: it's a restaurant, brewery, event space and a studio for artist. The Millworks support local talent from growers to local artist. The restaurant provide fresh seasonal items. A menu that has something for everyone that includes homemade pizzas, sandwiches and full meals. With a solid drink menu that includes cocktails with shrubs, their beer, wine and more. I sat down at the bar and was warmly greeted by fellow patrons and the bar staff during a busy Thursday night! Pro tip: make reservations if you want a table. The bar overlooks the courtyard that offers limited seating. The main dining area offers a very size able seating area. Note when the sun goes down you can be blinded at the bar. The menu looked all soooo good . As it was so good that I was having trouble deciding on some food but I paired down to a couple items and with help of the patrons and bartender we decided on a pizza with mushrooms. The pizza was very large and filled with mushrooms. A great pizza for mushroom lovers. I complimented my pizza with an adult beverage. I had a champagne with a local shrub. It was the perfect balance. During mg time at the bar, I learned this is one of three restaurants in town. The owner has a "dive bar" that looks to be a tiki bar and a date night place. My husband and I had dinner at The Millworks, when we were passing through Harrisburg last weekend on our way to the Finger Lakes. It turned out to be a great dinner stop. The Millworks is located in - you guessed it - the former Stokes Millwork building; they used reclaimed lumber from the building when they renovated, making it a very cool space - both modern and historic. The restaurant was cool and comfortable and quite large. The only thing that surprised me was the lack of TVs at the bar area (the World Cup was on and we had wanted to catch the match), since it is a brewery. It is a little loud inside, but it's a gorgeous space. (They also have art studios and a gallery, so you can check out the work of local artists when you visit for a drink or a meal.) The Millworks is both a brewery and a restaurant. We started with a couple of their beers. My husband had a Gose, and I had a lager. Both were great. For dinner, we shared their Cauliflower Buffalo "Wings" (house fermented hot sauce, crumbled blue cheese, micro cilantro); Street Corn Pizza (Lykens Valley cheese, cotija, wood grilled corn, pickled peppers, lime crema, chile oil, and cilantro); and Thai red curry scallops (coconut lime risotto, chile green beans, Thai pesto, pickled peppers, and cilantro). Everything was delicious. Their menu is interesting and seasonal - very fun but delicious bar food. (We ordered too much but enjoyed the food so much, we finished it the next morning for breakfast at our hotel.) The service was great - friendly, helpful, fast. Their website mentions a rooftop biergarten that I'd love to visit something (it wasn't mentioned as an option when we arrived) - it looks amazing. It's a popular place - I recommend reservations. When we arrived around 7pm on a Wednesday, we got the last table (there weren't any available seats at the bar, where you can sit yourself when they're out of tables). One of the best restaurants in Harrisburg! We dined in on a Tuesday night for a work dinner. The restaurant is large with inside, outside, large bar, and even a rooftop. The building has lots of art for you to walk around and admire. We tried a few cocktails and beers at the bar. When we were seated, we shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from Australia. Service was very nice. We shared a few appetizers, including the Mediterranean platter and lamb lollipops. For dinner, four of us had the Moroccan chicken and two people had the pork Ramen. My one piece of feedback was that the Moroccan barbecue chicken with couscous could've been hotter in temperature but understand six dishes we're trying to be served at the same time. What an awesome concept. Restaurant, bar, and real time Art! On our final night of our trip, Yelp lead us here based on the reviews. Absolutely beautiful beautiful establishment. Super high ceiling above the wide dining area. Enclosed by brick walls but plenty of open space inside. We dined with amazing food and drink. I feasted on the wood grill hanger steak and washed it down with a big beat brown ale. Betsy was a great waitress. Super friendly, attentive, and classy. When our drinks were served, we noticed she carefully place the drinks in front of us and turned logo on the glass towards us. Detail. Attention to detail! Huge. After our fine meal, we walked through all the art shops. It was so cool to see art actually in work. Multiple stories of art rooms. We say the roof top bar but it was open that night. Celebrated a birthday at The Millworks last week with the family and was reminded how lucky we are to have this gem in Harrisburg! Food and Drinks here were very delicious! Now the service I am more than disappointed with. I would give zero stars for the service. From the second we walked in and asked for a table the hostesses were very rude and even annoyed we were there (it was only a party of 5 and we were there at 5:45pm) - so I am unsure of what the problem was. Older lady and younger one at the check in desk both were very miserable not the welcoming... Now when it comes to the service in the restaurant we sat for 20 minutes before being greeted or given water and then more time until we were able to put in drink orders. Once we finally got our orders taken the food did come out fast and was really good. Food amazing. Service not impressive to say the least. read more

Custom-made decor was terrific, always an attraction at good breweries. Our meals were excellent, as well. The guys loved the salmon with polenta, three asparagus spears and a garnish of kimchi. My mushroom truffle pizza was great, although I probably should have asked them to go light on the truffle oil. I had a surprise pistachio and delicious pickled pepper hidden in it, like little treasures. The fig and goat cheese pizza was a big hit too! The beer was not memorable, both had the top one on the list. I had a decaf coffee, but I think it had chicory or something, not sure though, because the server never really came back with an answer. We had a wonderful time last night. Our party of 8 was extremely well cared for. Our server gave a great description of the Vegetarian Ramen which I LOVED! I added the egg but it didn't need it. I also enjoyed two of the Mocktails the Red Eye Chai & The Off Season. Both of them are SUPERB! I enjoyed a single bite of the chocolate mousse that was shared with me, but had no room to get my own dessert. The menu was intimidating. Dropped in on 3/5/2026, Merve took OUTSTANDING care of our four top, and she was instrumental in naming a delicious IPA on tap, "Fig-get About It! Spiced Amber Ale w/ Fig", 8.1% and delicious. Started with a couple side salads which were so fresh, crisp, clean tasting and perfectly dressed. I visited Harrisburg for a couple of days, and I could have eaten here all of those days! This place was so unique and very delicious. It is very artsy, but unlike any artsy restaurant I've seen. There were actual art merchants that had their own 'store front' in the restaurant. They were scattered throughout the building and the restaurant was in its own space and the rooftop, so they were intermingled but together (if that makes sense). The restaurant/dining area was rustic and open. There was also a rooftop, but we got lucky and got bar seats inside. The menu was huge and had tons of different options. I really like how the drinks seem to be especially curated for this restaurant. To drink, we got the espresso martini and the violet drink. Both were so delicious and were quickly made after we ordered. To eat, we got the wagyu burger with fries and the Mac n cheese, which was huge! I actually ate every last bite of my burger and fries lol. The Mac n cheese was filling enough to eat on its own. Next time I visit, will totally be coming back here for a great atmosphere and dinner! read more

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon after the PA Home and garden show. They serve brunch until 3 so we ordered off of that menu. Hubby got the Breakfast Tacos and really enjoyed them. I got the Hummus Flight which included three different types of hummus, as well as some pita,crostini, and vegetables. It was wonderful! Our server was Brittney, and she was both friendly and attentive. Restaurant was nice and clean, too. Recommend! read more

Millworks is in a cute hall which includes some artistry booths outside of the restaurant. We didn't have reservations and were sat upon arriving on a Saturday at 5. The menu is interesting. There are multiple vegetarian options as well as a few vegan ones. I chose to order the harissa salmon. I asked for the salmon to be well done, and it was very well done upon eating it. So "well" that the outside was basically charred. The presentation is kind of odd. There's just a chunk of labneh on the plate. Overall it was alright, but wouldn't order it again. Other people at my table ordered the steak. It's definitely more of a German style and the rohmossee sauce on the potatoes was a tad over bearing with a sweet mustard flavor. If you are a pickier eater this is probably not the best option for you in my opinion. read more

Nice place with a nice vibe, seemed popular since the place was close to full on a Friday night. Me and my dad were staying overnight in town, and were looking for some good local food. Yelp reviews said this was a good choice, but it definitely wasn't. Waiter asked if we had been there before, we said no and he made a point of stressing they were pretty much farm-to-table for almost everything on the menu. It was a good place to start, and I enjoy supporting local small businesses. No starters, but we both ordered drinks, my dad got a beer ($5, very reasonable) and I ordered a Tequila old fashioned that was $17 (WAY overpriced). The drink was made incorrectly, they used whiskey instead of tequila (I could tell, told the waiter and he swore up and down it was done right) and most of the glass was a massive ice cube which means they got away with overcharging me on very little booze. For dinner my father got the 8 oz Wood Grilled Hanger Steak, ordered it medium. Steak was overdone (at least medium well) and the Mexican sweet potatoes that came with it were underdone and way too tough - they should have been blanched first. As it was, they tasted like someone heated up a sweet potato in the microwave for about 30 seconds - not nearly enough. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, the pork was good but the spice? There wasn't any. This dish was bland, despite me asking for it to be spicy and it had far more broth than it should have. The rest - the noodles (very thin), the pork, the egg, even the mushrooms - made up less than half the actual dish. The best way I can describe it is nice presentation, mediocre result at best. Our waiter didn't ask about dessert, which was probably the right call since we would have skipped it anyways based on the quality of the dinners we received. For all this, the bill was $93. I would have done better going to any diner within a 5 mile radius. I should have listened to the girl at the front desk of the hotel and gone to Duke's instead. They're getting 3/5 for being farm to table, it would be a 2/5 otherwise. If you want food with flavor at a reasonable price, this definitely isn't the place. read more

The lamb chops they used a like roasted blackened chillipepper and you get 2 lambchops and broccoli. It was good, not great 4/5. The Mac and cheese was dry and nothing special and both are expensive for what they are. Mac and cheese 2/5 We ordered the mushroom pizza, tonkatsu Ramen, and salmon entree. Mushroom pizza = 4/5 (needed sauce or something for crust) Salmon 4/5 Tonkatsu Ramen = 1/5 (heavy soy sauce flavor, noodles too thin and on the firmer side). The Millworks is a place to vibe, enjoy some drinks, and some great food! I haven't been in years since I moved away from Harrisburg, and I was indifferent about going. But when we arrived and went up to the rooftop, I was glad we came. So much seating (& happy to have the ceiling heaters!) It may be a little pricey, but the food is cooked really well and flavorful. The lamb lollipops and pierogies were delicious. The lamb wasn't overcooked nor too fatty. I enjoyed that the pierogies were crunchy and had a nice serving of the toppings. A very interesting place for dinner. We were passing through Hanover and found this place on Yelp. We called and they said they didn't have any tables available but to stop by and they would try to get us in. They were very friendly and after a short wait we got a table! Dinner was tasty. Look at your bill closely, they have up charges and they charged $14 extra for a salad the manager literally said yes we charged that wrong but she refused to take it off the bill. Literally REFUSED! We stopped there on Saturday evening fairly early without reservations and the hostess worked very hard to find a table for the 3 of us. Two of us are from California and this restaurant had been highly recommended by someone from Harrisburg. The cocktails were amazing. Our Aunt who only drinks a Cosmos said it was the best she ever had. Two orders of meatloaf got rave reviews and my seared scallops were delicious. Everything seemed very fresh, beautifully seasoned and top quality. The restaurant itself is so unique and make sure to visit the artist galleries both up and downstairs. The beer is good. The atmosphere is nice. I've tried to eat here 3 times and I did not like my food every time. I'm not a complainer but I value my $. On Sunday afternoon I ordered a portabello mushroom cheese steak that was intensely salty - not edible. The mushrooms were black and the flavor was cooked out of them, the sauce, the cheese, and the mushrooms were very salty and the bun was mushy. Served with extra salty chips. They would have been delicious otherwise. My $13 drink was weak - could Not taste the gin. 2stars because even when service and atmosphere is good, I'm here for a meal and it was terrible. read more
