I went with the white sangria, which was full of different fruits and hit the spot. If you haven't tried the pretzel bites, they are an absolute must! Soft and billowy and tossed in butter, almost leave you speechless. The beer, cheese dip, just enhances the experience! For my meal, I tried the mushroom Smashburger. It was smoky, full of mushroom flavor on a pretzel roll. I would definitely order that again! My friend had the buffalo chicken sandwich and she said it was one of the best buffalo chicken sandwiches she has ever had! Our server, Sydney was very helpful with the menu and really enhanced our experience with her outgoing personality! Zeroday is a backpacking term used for a "downday" when hiking the trail. This brewery would be a great place for one and the A.T. is close by. It's got the typical modern outdoorsy vibe with an outside patio for warm days. We were headed to HMAC, in Harrisburg, and stopped here to get a bite to eat and pre game. HMAC is about 1 block away so it works well for anyone nearby. It was around 8PM on a Wednesday so the crowd was clearing out. Lots of beers on tap with a wide variety of ales, lagers and sours. Our waitress was really nice, and offered up a free sample, but I had to keep flagging her down to get refills. They don't do flights but do offer 5 oz. pours of their beers at a price. I sampled the Guavah Lagah which was light and smooth and something I could drink all day. I also sampled a sour (named - ain't mad at ya?) which was okay but wouldn't want more than a sampling. I then ordered a Mango Hab (habernero) which was really smooth with a spicy finish. What I tried was really good and I hope to visit again. For food I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and my wife ordered the smash burger and we both upgraded to fries. Nashville hot was no joke but it was seriously delicious. Staff is mostly attentive and friendly, though some definitely have attitude problems when the bar is full of patrons. What a fun little spot! I met up with family here on a lazy Sunday afternoon. We got some drinks and apps to share. I personally enjoyed the pretzel and dip a lot--the pretzel was soft and buttery! Service was quick and super friendly, even though we were there later in the day. The outdoor courtyard sealed the deal on a great Saturday afternoon visit! This was our first visit to the Taproom and we were very pleased with all aspects of our visit. The open feel and long bar inside create a welcoming atmosphere and the outdoor courtyard added a very nice component to relax on a warm sunny afternoon. A nice variety of drinks were available from a solid list of their own beers to creative cocktails. The beer selection ranges from seasonal and pilsner to IPA's and darker beers. Our favorite on this visit was the Second Rodeo! In addition to the beverages, we were impressed with the food we sampled. On this trip we tried the Carnitas Nachos and the crispy shrimp tacos. The nachos were loaded and very flavorful! The homemade chips were a very nice touch. The shrimp tacos were seasoned and cooked perfectly then topped with a delicious slaw. Our server was great! Friendly, professional, and a good sense of humor! Especially after I accidentally launched my beverage while swatting at a bee! Everyone working at the Taproom was very welcoming and treated us like they were glad we were visiting. I highly recommend stopping by the Taproom and I look forward to our next visit. read more

I enjoyed a return visit to ZeroDay and was pleased to see that they haven't lost a step. Over the course of a leisurely late afternoon, I sampled three different beers (a plisner and two IPAs), chips and salsa, and the chicken quesadilla. The food was excellent. The chips were fresh and clearly homemade, along with two kinds of salsa whose consistency was just right--not too thick and not watery. The chicken quesadilla was also excellent with seasoned shredded chicken rather than diced chicken. Fair warning: both items are pricier than you'd expect atba typical bar but to me the quality was worth the price. The beers were excellent as always. I particularly enjoyed the "Second Rodeo" IPA--great hoppy taste but not overpowering. Selections rotate so it may or may not be available when you visit, but the beer menu always has a variety of selections to please most tastes. Service was fantastic. I arrived early and was the sole customer in the outdoor courtyard. Regardless, my server Mitchell did a great job of keeping a discreet eye on my drink levels and meal progress from inside the restaurant. His table visits were perfectly timed and I never had an excessive wait for food or beverages. As noted, prices are bit higher here than typical neighborhood establishments but worth it. My comment on prices is not a complaint but fair warning to those looking for $3 drafts and cheap chips/salsa. Midtown Harrisburg has lots of great local spots (see my other reviews) if that's what you are looking for. Yes, you'll pay more but I don't think you'll be disappointed with a visit to ZeroDay. read more

We went to zero day last night to celebrate my birthday and had such a delicious meal! Our food came out surprisingly fast and everything was prepared perfectly. They have the best nachos in town by far. We got them as an app this time but I've gotten them with shredded chicken as an entree before and they are amazing both ways. My husband got the smothered burrito with shrimp which also comes with rice and beans. This can easily serve two. It's a HUGE burrito Drinks we got slushees (not pictured) margaritas and the rum punch. The dessert pear margarita was my favorite! Will definitely order again. Bonus points it was super pretty. I just realized I never actually posted a review for this place. My boyfriend and I decided to randomly stop in when driving back to Pittsburgh from visiting friends. It was on a Sunday afternoon and was not very busy inside. It is a little hidden, we weren't sure exactly where to go for the taproom. It's a decent size place with bar seats as well as tables. They had good music playing and there also were some games if you wanted to play. There was no food when we were there so this speaks to beer only. We selected a flight of four to try. The tap list isn't huge but they seemed to have a good mix of styles with something for everyone. We tried Dolce Vita (chocolate hazelnut stout), Evil Sip (Belgian strong ale), Grievance (winter warmer) and Critical Condition (imperial amber ale). My least favorite was probably Critical Condition. My favorite was definitely the Dolce Vita. All the beers were solid. I will say the bartender wasn't necessarily friendly and kind of did the bare minimum necessary. However the place had a cool vibe and we chatted with some regulars for a while who gave us some tips on other breweries. I would stop again if I was in the area. read more

The new Taproom by Zeroday + La Catrina has potential but fell very short for my visit with friends. Covid protocols were followed well. Service and drinks were great, but the food was a 1/5. Not only were the portions tiny for $12-$15 dishes, but the food came out room temperature rather than warm, and the flavors were not at all tasty . Unfortunately, the menu was basically half out of commission on Sunday at 6pm. No ceviches, SALSAS (except salsa macha, spiciest one, was very hot but little flavor), quesadillas, churros, shrimps tacos, rice and beans... The list goes on. The only thing I would get again is the elote, don't be scared of the coffee mayo, it's barely there. The cheesy/salty corn was a nice flavor. Tacos al pastor and tacos nopales- barely any flavor and came out room temp Enchiladas - average Fajitas - also average, really nothing special and for the price point it's disappointing. I'd return to the taproom if they significantly improved the menu and availability. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste my money on food- drinks still great. read more

Made a pit-stop in Harrisburg, PA and quickly looked up a brewery for me to stop by and pick up some 'skis and food. Zeroday appeared close to the top of several recommendations, and I'll have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. The food was above average quality for a brewery, which really puts this review towards the upper end. That said, more and more breweries are focusing more on the food side of things to balance out their tasty beers. Their Mexican fare here is provided by another local restaurant. The food was tasty and decent portions, although for some reason still seemed a bit expensive when it came to the bill. Nevertheless, for food at a brewery this is a solid joint. We had a mix of Birria Tacos (the new favorite for 2021), Asada Tacos, and Crispy Shrimp Tacos. All had some unique aspects to it, with the Birria probably being the most "common" taste. I love me some Birria Tacos, and this was slightly better than average, but not the best that's out there. I had one 'ski, the Zeroday IPA Episode 28, which was a very drinkable 6.2% ABV IPA. It had a touch of sour to it, which if you like IPAs and Sours, will make you a happy person. The service was friendly and quick, and we enjoyed the relaxing and open-space atmosphere inside the Taproom. I would definitely be back for another visit if I stopped by Harrisburg once more. TL;DR: A solid brewery with a nice relaxing indoor atmosphere - lounge chairs, wide-open areas, back patio with umbrellas, etc. The food is above average for a brewery, and the portions are decent. Surprised I haven't written a review yet! I visit Zeroday once a month for drag bingo- which is every 3rd Thursday of each month. It is FREE bingo lead by a local drag queen, Felicia O'tool, where you can win FREE BEER! I am not a huge beer drinker so I can't review the beer selection in detail but even a non beer drinker like me can find something to enjoy! The atmosphere is great! I wish they had a bigger space with more seating! Zeroday is a great place to visit with friends or on a date. They have games you can play and they now have pizza you can enjoy! read more

During these covid times the brewery is being moved and now at this location there is a Zeroday outpost. This means they offer a few beers and hotdogs in corner of the cinema. The bartenders serving me were extremely nice answering questions about the beer and the area ( I am new Harrisburg). I ended up having the Alaska Vista which was a good smooth stout with a hotdog. Fun place to go after a show at Midtown Cinema! If you're into craft brews, you'll love this. I had the Zero rose ale with hibiscus and liked it very much. Smooth, refreshing, and not overpowering with alcohol. It's easy to see brew choices on a board, including alcohol content and infusions/flavors. The place was decorated throughout with Rocky Horror Picture Show regalia! The pizza is delicious, perfect crispy thin crust and just the right amount of toppings. Good music plays, and conversation is possible despite the noise of a crowded tavern. Recommend better lighting and directions from the theater. A few rough areas of sidewalk could risk slips, trips, and falls. After all, we need our dancing feet for music like The Time Warp!! read more

The food from LaCatrina is absolutely amazing. The best tacos in Harrisburg! However Zero Day's service is the worst in Harrisburg. I've came 6+ times because of how good their food was. I thought it was maybe just our server, however every experience has been horrible! My last experience I came in at 8pm, asked for a table for 2, they took my information and told me to wait at the bar. 50 minutes passed, I was never even asked if I wanted water. I tried to order food at the bar and they told me the kitchen was closed. It may be their first restaurant, but there is no excuse!! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. We had our son's bulldog with us who is very heat sensitive. We got a table on the patio in the shade near the open door so we could still feel the air conditioning. It was a perfect spot for Gus. We had an umbrella over the table to keep the area cool and they even brought a dog bowl filled with ice water. We ordered a starter and a couple of drinks as well as the smash burger, salad and chicken sandwich, all were delicious! Interior is modern and inviting, multiple unique spots to sit or stand, a large bar with other drinks as well. I enjoyed the bathroom setup and the glass wall detailing the view of production. The Pilsner (5), "Second" IPA (4) , Cream Ale (4), & Cherry-limeade fruit beer (4). Wish they had the mango habanero! A simple menu with delicious options. The Abol Salsa is a fantastic, spicy addition to any of the menu items. Burrito is enormous, rubbed chicken was delicious but nachos could've been dressed more. Downsides were wrinkled, food-splattered, paper menus...not a dealbreaker in the slightest but you're already going cheap with sleeveless, how hard is it to print more and replace the dirty ones. Service was 50/50. A red head brunette greeted us first. She was short, rude, expressionless. Completely inattentive to our end of the bar and on multiple occasions her phone was her focus, not our empty glasses. She apparently didn't want to be there and she made us feel the same. While waiting to request our check so we could go somewhere else another employee, McKenzie, stepped behind the bar and greeted us. Her demeanor was 100% different, even though the bar was getting busier she had none of the attitude the other girl openly expressed. My cousin and I both commented on how that little bit of concern changed the entire experience, we decided to stay and doubled our tab purchasing swag and filling growlers.
