Solid delicious beers. Fun environment. Friendly service. Easy to recommend. I went to Moo-Duck with my boyfriend and some friends we were visiting who live nearby. We visited several breweries around the area. We weren't sure what to expect at Moo-Duck. We also didn't know if we would come across a young crowd since it is a college town. The place was busy and there was a pretty diverse crowd and everyone was having a good time. We ordered a flight. We had The Remedy (American wheat with honey and chamomile), Love (Belgian strong with brown sugar and cherries), Big Beard 2.0 (a Belgian quad) and Oak Aged My Toes Are Cold (with coffee and vanilla). All of the beers were solid. The Remedy was unique and well balanced. My favorite was Big Beard 2.0. I love that they had such a wide variety on tap. We also shared some pretzels with cheese, always great with beer. They had board games and live music. There also was a mini disc golf in the back. Overall a great experience.

Super friendly staff and nice space too. We enjoyed our beers and were glad to see they have a rotation going that'll keep people coming back. Also they consistently have a charity they donate to which is cool.

I was waiting at the Elizabethtown Amtrak station for my husband to return from Philly and as I sat there I saw this Brewery literally across the street. I texted him and said, "I'll be over there meet me at the bar" So off I went. The place was cozy and decorated nice for the holidays and they had a huge beer menu on the blackboard. It was pretty big I thought so it would be a great place to hang with friends and it looks like they often have live music. You seat yourself and order the food at the bar. I just sat at the bar and was greeted with a couple of bartenders and a food and drink menu. The menu was basic but they pride themselves on being a local menu and there were plenty of options that enticed me. I decided on nachos to share and I got them with cheese, jalapenos, and their house made chili which was phenomenal. I'm still thinking about them they were soooo good. The chili was kind of sweet like a bbq bean and it had chunks of meat. So yummy. I tried their wheat beer and it was perfect. No real bite to it, no bitterness, perfectly smooth. Wow. My husband had their dark sour which he enjoyed. I tried it and thought it was good but I like a lighter sour. We were going to try some other food items but we had to be on our way to do some Christmas shopping but I really think this place is excellent based on our short experience there and we will return!

Easily my favorite brewery. They have great food, great beer, and a great staff. My favorite beer right now is the fruit of the moo, which is a strawberry and blueberry beer. I also recently had the honor of trying the McMoo mac pizza which was delicious. I've never been disappointed with any food item or brew I've ordered. Highly recommend you try this place! It's the best!

The label says it all for this stellar addition to the Support Local Platter.

Come one; come all to the Moo- Duck Brewery!! As I sit here on a sofa at this stellar local spot, I cannot recommend enough the Support Local Platter & the Bacon Wrapped Pickels!! I'm not even a pickle lover, but the chipotle aioli dipping sauce is to die for. In fact, I was dipping my savory warm Dutch Country jumbo pretzel from the local platter in it too....but if your prefer mustard with your pretzel.... Try the horseradish mustard. Either way, you will experience a taste bud, happy dance explosion in your mouth. Heck, I'm not even a pretzel lover, but this combo was like no other. And the cheese.... Whoa! The local platter came with a local cheese called "Down on the Ranch" Cheddar by a local company named Jubilee Heritage Cheese. There is no doubt that we are heading to a local market to bring some of this cheese back to NJ !!! Oh, yeah? The BEER. I had the Mistopheles Imperial Stout. Yummy! It's not always easy to find a stout in the summer at local microbreweries, let alone a stout this rich & tasty, but Moo-Duck Brewery has mastered their craft. Come one; come all !!!

These are the samplers we had.

As soon as we walked in we knew what to do and didn't feel awkward. We Ordered our food and drink at the bar. My husband enjoyed the chili nachos and I had the chopped cheeseburger. Both were delicious!! I do not like IPA's but my husband enjoyed the Hoppy Toad. I enjoyed the Purple Carp and Big Sit beer. We got a sampler which is 4 beers of our choice, then ordered what we liked the best. The sizes of the beer is 5, 12, 16, 32 and 64 oz. Scott Palmer was a one man and played music for 60s, 70s, 80s, current, as well as his own music. He gets and A+ from us!!

Listen, if you know what a hand circle has to do with a rally point, or what a LACE Report is, then this place needs to be high on your OPORD For the rest of you, read the rest of the review to see why you need to come here too. First lets clarify why Google and Yelp are calling this location Cox Brewing and Rally Point. Cox Brewing Company is the brewery, and they used to have a separate location a couple miles away. Rally Point is the name of their tap room where you enjoy great beer in an awesome atmosphere. Rally Point is co-located with the Pizza Town restaurant. You can bring food from the latter over to the tap room. Order it and they will text you when it's ready. Now on to the important stuff. The beer here is flat out great. The bartenders are more than happy to recommend beers for you. She suggested two for me and they were both on point. They went down like 50 meter targets (if you understand that, you better already have this place bookmarked). The atmosphere here is unique and a lot of fun. There's sandbags, ammo cans, belt feeds, and other great stuff you won't see at any other bars. The two bartenders that attended to me were super friendly and seemed to really enjoy their job. On top of all that, there's live music. What are you waiting for? Shoot your azimuth and get here double time!

Cox Brewing Company used to be located in Rheems but now has a much…read morelarger and really inviting space next to Pizza Town -- with a roomy indoor taproom, long bar, stage area for live music, outdoor seating and fire pits, and tons of great drinks on tap. I was able to visit once before the Christmas holiday and again right before New Years so the hubs and I could ring in 2021 with some delicious local beers. We started with the two sours on tap -- Bug Juice (perfect tart blend of strawberry/blueberry and lime) and Lawn Dart (peach/mango) -- and I hope they keep them on tap through summer because these are the types of beers I'd enjoy with friends on a hot afternoon. Next up were two IPAs -- CH-47, which is a light and super smooth American style, and IPA-X, which is another American style but with a little more citrus - not sure which hops are used, but they're good! We also decided to sample one heavier beer -- the Armistice Ale, which was listed at 11% ABV. That's should be enough to wipe out those 2020 memories, right?? This isn't a style either the hubs or I are into -- it's a scotch style ale, which is darker and heavier -- I'm glad we only did a howler, as more than one glass a piece might've done us both in! But the flavor was good. The staff is taking COVID precautions seriously, which I appreciate -- they all wear masks, clean regularly and provide sanitizer. There were a few folks outside at the fire pits when I visited, but most were taking their growlers to go. Nice steady business Wednesday night when I visited (after 5pm), but I beat the crowd on a Saturday by arriving as soon as they opened. The prices are reasonable -- $10 - $15 growler refills and $6 howler refills hit the spot. If I could carry more than two growlers at a time, it'd be dangerous! This is a veteran-owned business, so there's tons of military references not only in the names of the beers (Ghille Suit, Gun Bunny, etc.), but also in the atmosphere at Rally Point. Not my typical style, but it's very inviting and everyone is super friendly, so you can't help but to want to hang out and chat with the staff and knowledgeable regulars. It also looks like they arrange a lot of fundraisers and events to support other local veterans orgs -- flyers posted around the venue and advertised on their website. I love supporting not just a good local brewery and veteran business, but also a hometown company that pays it forward to their community -- especially during this crazy pandemic.

The menu immediately caught my eye with its local flair, and it did not disappoint. They happened to be hosting trivia night, which was such a fun surprise and gave the place great energy. I ordered the chef's special crabcake sandwich, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Easily the highlight of my night and exactly what I needed after a long day. Kelsey and Kristen were absolute standouts--warm, engaging, and incredibly welcoming. Even as someone from out of town, I was treated like a regular, which made the experience even better. There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!

This building has been painted and decorated to keep with the time period. Very cool if you are into history. After our dinner, we were given a tour of the catacombs, brewery, dining areas, etc. The tour guide was the owner who was also an actor in our dinner. He is full of knowledge and information about the beer making process and the building itself. The murder mystery dinner was fun. There are 3-4 rooms with patrons and a bar area. The actors move throughout the rooms giving hints, etc. There is a bar where the appetizers were set up and where you were able to order drinks. The drink menu was varied and had some interesting choices. Most were sweet drinks. They do have a full bar as well so you can find something to drink. Dave the bartender is super friendly and attentive. He makes the experience fun too. I would think that they would have had more elevated drinks relevant to that time period. I understand that they were trying to make it more relevant to today to get sales and make people happy. They had lots of options. Even a peanut butter/jelly martini that was spot on. The show itself was great. Very well played by the actors. Hard to follow along a little as the rooms do cause a barrier and you miss parts of the 'show' and the actual murder itself. The actors are friendly and fun. Some people that came even dressed the part. It's a murder mystery speakeasy theme. The hotel and rooms really fit the time period for this as well. The food was a typical buffet/cafeteria food options. You had to pick from chicken or steak when you bought your tickets online. The tickets were about $65 per person. That doesn't include the cost of drinks. The drinks were not pricey. You are paying for entertainment so keep that in mind. We had apps at the bar area that was self serve. Then, we had a salad that was good and soup that was just as good too (broccoli and cheddar). We then had the main course that was served with corn and mashed potatoes. The sides were just meh and the meats were a little dry. There is butter on top of the steak that is tasty. The steaks are served one temp and are thin. We were then given coffee and a piece of chocolate cake with whipped cream on top. After the dinner reveal, the bartender gives you some history of the building and then the owner will come back and take you on at our through the entire building. It is a maze. Super cool to see all the parts. This was a great activity to do. Again, you aren't paying for a $65 meal, but rather entertainment. I would for sure go again. They do have lots of other entertainment options throughout the year and we were told that Halloween is a super spectacular time to visit. If you like history, you will love this place. It is also a working hotel.

Prior to our tour leading us through the historic brewery, our group was chiding for being too loud during the tour he was leading. Minutes later, he had to be corrected by our guide for playing a video too loud during our tour! The tour itself was brief, but pleasant. Now, down to the meat of my giving 2-stars. The dining areas had a great ambience of history with the exposed subterranean walls. The pin point lights intermingled with the red drapes added to this atmosphere. As beautiful as this was to the eye, it made reading the menu a challenge. Because to bring your cell phone or a flashlight, if you expect to read anything. Then the menu. To say there was an imbalance between entree pricing and preparation quality would be an understatement. We were alarmed by the sheer elevated prices, especially once discovered how average to sub-par the meals actually were. My wife was very disappointed with her pork. And as someone who has enjoyed and prepared Oscar for my entire adult life, this was easily the worst I ever tasted. I certainly had much higher expectations for the $70 charges for my plate alone. Service was the rotten cherry on top. As a diner, there was an overhanging sense that the motivation was to turn the tables for the next pending tour group. Then when you wanted assistance, no one was to be found. My wife had to walk to the service station herself, Just to get a box. All in all, I won't ever go back to Bube's. I'll also double down, and eagerly recommend that none of my friends go either.

I asked for the bbq sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because it was a vinegar base sauce. I didn't like it at all. I found the brisket to be a little too fatty and not well seasoned. The slaw in the sandwich wasn't seasoned either. I was disappointed. Both of us thought the fries were meh. Not hot enough and not crispy. Mine were kind of soggy. Diner 3 got grilled cheese. It was a sandwich in thick bread and came with a side of marinara sauce. She said the sandwich was good. Diner 4 got the Mediterranean plate. Hummus, tabuli, zucchini fritters and tahini. There is a gift shop with a variety of merchandise and lots of beer for sale. I asked if the beers and 'cocktails' were available as singles rather than 6 packs. And I was offered a taste. I chose the freaky fruity cherry limeade cocktail. It had too much of the taste of hops for me. The server said it's not made with hops but on the same equipment and although it was tasty, I couldn't get past the taste if hops. Not something I like.
