Had dinner at Snitz Creek Brewery on the way to the Nate Bargatze show in Hershey, PA. The restaurant is lively with indoor and outdoor seating. The food menu is not extensive, but everything on the menu looks great! There's a little something for everyone! The beers on tap are made in house, and the two I tried were well crafted! The Marzen style lager is pretty close to perfect! I noticed that all of their spirits are made in Pennsylvania! We sat at the bar and it happened to be happy hour. As a result, the bartenders were slammed! But they were friendly, helpful and attentive!!! Definitely worth stopping in, and we will no doubt be back! read more

Really good food here! My friend, my daughter, and I tried the eggrolls, pretzel, and meatballs, and everything hit the spot. The beer was even better -- and that's saying something because my husband and I go to a lot of breweries. I almost never buy beer to take home, but their blueberry beer won me over. I did take off a star because the outdoor area just isn't great. It's tiny, wedged between the brewery and what looks like a bike shop, and even with the privacy wall, it feels boxed in. When the home boss is craving Beet Salad you make the reservation and go to Snitz Creek! She swears it's the best Roasted Beet Salad anywhere and she lives it with the Baked Chicken breast! This time I ordered their Cheese Steak its shaved rib eye with beer onions! It came on a really soft roll that was perfect for it. A cup of waffle fries finished off my hunger! My husband and I made a reservation here on Valentine's Day. I was nervous because typically holidays can be hit or miss in the restaurant industry. Snitz Creek was definitely not a miss! We were seated within 5-10 minutes of arriving to our reservation. Our server was attentive and efficient. Drinks were delicious. The menu was a regular menu, not a special holiday menu. I stopped in at Snitz-Palmyra on a whim for a mid-day goof off I was duly impressed by the service, food, and beers. I arrived around lunchtime and though the place wasn't crowded the staff was very attentive and service was quick. I started with a flight to sample the beers and also ordered a "classic" pizza with pepperoni. First, the pizza. The pizzas are large enough for two to easily share. The Classic--and several others--also use parmesan cheese in addition to the usual mozzarella. I liked the additional taste and the tomato sauce was also nice. The crust was crispy on the outer portions and just slightly nicely cheesy toward the center of the pie. Yum! I tried two beer flights from and was able to choose from a range of styles. The beers were solid, and I definitely enjoyed the stout and the lemon meringue. The lemon meringue sounds like it should be a typical lemon shandy but has a bit more body and creaminess. I definitely recommend--and this particular Snitz location is pretty close to Hershey if you are visiting the various attractions. read more

Found myself in the area so I dropped by to try the beers on a Friday night. This place must be the only gig in town. Super loud. Screaming babies. Surly beertender. Was able to snag a happy hour price on the pizza but honestly the poor bar service made this a meh experience. Got a beer that was canned which was fine but had to ask for a glass, which was piping hot out of the dishwasher. Waited forever to get a second beer so I gave up trying. Some of the beer tasted off but the can beer was good. Food was good. Service? Not so much. read more

Omg! Just got a takeout order from them, everything tasted and looked amazing. Fries were a little soggy but not to the point of inedible- the most normal thing for takeout fries. Kiddo got the regular smashburger (we left the Dijonaise sauce on hers and she didn't even notice!) and hubby got the double- which was really a triple! They both ate everything. I got the Mac and cheese, so much bacon! It was great! Will definitely come back and try something else next time, the menu looks amazing. read more

I made a dinner rez for last night at the around-the-corner [Snitz Creek Brewery](https://www.snitzcreekbrewery.com/). Rhonda and I love beer, and the boys bar food, so it seemed like a good choice. It's a pretty corporate place despite the appearance; would that I had the forethought to take my camera into the restroom, I could have delighted the reader with the cut-out-keg urinals. But alas. Snitz does a fine job with food; beer selection was mixed, and the service was lousy. My wife started off with the Opening Day IPA, which is one of the brews I figured she would like to try, knowing her tastes. There's a lot of fruit and dessert flavors on the list that I knew we'd avoid. The Opening Day is about twice as hoppy as the already aggressively hopped local favorite by Bonesaw, [Swoosh](https://www.bonesawbrewing.com/_files/ugd/a5472f_4bad196ddbee45f6bf1c347ff1488b6c.pdf). It's nearly 100 IBUs, and there's not much malt in the mix. Not for me. I tried the Golden Lager, which is a Helles style; I found this to be thin and boring in body and flavor. I know what a Helles is and what to expect, and this wasn't a good iteration of the style. Happily, the other beer I had my eye on, the Hopper Dropper, was much better (if a bit much): a hazy, nicely hopped IPA. My wife got the Citra, which is a much less bitter IPA that is hopped exclusively with Citra hops. Round two beers were both thumbs up. The food at Snitz was, from start to finish, excellent and nicely executed. We all shared some wings, half hot and half mild; perhaps by accident, the mild came out with no sauce at all, which isn't mild: it's plain. But they were fresh and crispy and we all agreed, delicious. We also got the eggrolls, which featured local mushrooms. They too were excellent. My wife got a smash burger, which was true to the style: gooey with cheese, juicy but not pink. I had a chicken satay bowl, which was a couple of boneless thighs with a bbq sauce. I intended to skip the rice, but found myself eating some of it anyway because it was so good. My younger son picked up some flavor in the rice, and my wife guessed it was Garam Masala. My son's crispy pork chop was a riff on the same bowl I ordered, and it too was really good. My older son's korean chicken sandwich looked good, served on the same brioche bun as the smashburger, but it was not a fried sandwich; the chicken was, I think, exactly what comes on the Satay. I do find that sleight of hand disingenuous, though: calling something "Korean chicken," and describing it as "crispy," would suggest to many a diner that it would be fried. Still good. But not fried. The service was really bad at Snitz, though; we arrived and took our seats, and the server asked about drink choices. We needed a few minutes to make a decision about a beer, but because happy hour was almost over, the server launched into a dissertation about how we could save a buck by ordering one before 6 pm. I made a six pm rez and did so without a concern about a happy hour when I made it, but more to the point, if you think happy hour is going to cause a stir at my table, give me the beer at 6:03 pm for the happy hour price. Least damaging? Just say, "Happy hour pricing is available until 6 pm" and let us peruse. The server then disappeared for a long time, and while, yes, we did ask for some time to review the draft list, we had made decisions quickly thereafter. For the second round, I had to serve myself at the bar, which I always find annoying and unnecessary. What's worse, I handed the bar tender our empties and asked for the two new pours (different styles) and what ensued was a lengthy pause and steady eye contact while the bartender reminded me that the glasses I was handing him were for two other styles. It was as if the notion of having a second beer that what not the same as the first was not only unusual but transgressive. This brings me to the larger point about Snitz: it feels very polished but also corporate. That a person had to make this speech communicates that there's no flexibility for on-the-floor staff, which sounds corporate to me. And the utter polish of the food, and the online rez system, and the goofy beer names... just something strikes me that way. I'm not above dining at a chain, but I don't prefer the experience, generally, save for obvious hits like Shake Shack. I'd go there again, though. read more

This spot is located a bit off the beaten path but came highly recommend. It's right in the middle of a neighborhood. It was an enormous space and connected to a taco restaurant. They were still celebrating Oktoberfest so I chose an Oktoberfest beer and schnitzel. It was sooo good. Very authentic. It was a Tuesday so they also offer taco Tuesday. Popped in on a whim when in the area for a class. Hubs and I were pleasantly surprised at the beer offerrings and also enjoyed the food. The food menu seemed minimal and somewhat typical of what you would expect from a brewery (apps, handhelds, a few dinner options). We tried the smashburger, korean bbq chicken sandwich, and the pretzel with beer cheese appetizer. The pretzel and cheese were very good, as was the chicken sandwich. We shared a flight of beers and enjoyed all of them for the most part. Our top two faves were the opera fudge stout and the lemon meringue. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and attentive, and the decor inside was very "rustic minimalist."" Wonderful restaurant for lunch and dinner! Their weekday burger special including a burger, fries, and a drink (including beers) for $10 is delicious and a great deal. Half priced tacos on Tuesday are also wonderful. And the happy hour specials are great too. The wild mushroom pizza and pretzel braid with beer cheese are our favorites. The beers are also wonderful. The staff is great and very accommodating. Sitting by the firework in the winter is wonderful and the ambiance overall is very cozy. We will definitely be back! read more

We're there 2 or 3 times a month. Food & service are great. For dinner, I am a blended scotch drinker, usually Dewars, rocks, splash of club. EVERY other restaurant we frequent has it. Now I know, Snitz doesn't carry name brands, but they carry Kinsey. OK. But they won't carry Kinsey blended scotch. Claim they don't have a rep. Well, was at Babes a couple weeks ago, mentioned the situation, and when we were there this Tuesday, the bartender had ordered and received 1 bottle...because I asked. Please explain. read more

Our 1st family stop in Hersey! I must say we were really happy with the food, service, and outdoor seating. The atmosphere was welcoming and family friendly. We ordered the mozzarella filled meatballs, pepperoni classic pizza, and the smash burger. The pizza was good. My 4 year old ate half the pie. The smash burger was yummy, juicy, and loaded with complementing fixings. The meatballs were delicious with a nice sauce to meatballs ratio. The highlight was the 4 beer flight with nice recommendations from our server. We really enjoyed the blueberry cream, the coconut/marshmallow DIPA, and the lemon meringue. After the flight, we ordered our favorite individual beers to complete our order. It was an overall good experience and helped set the tone for the rest of our trip. This was our first time eating here. A terrific meal, despite returning from Hershey Medical Center with so so news about a family member. We love snitz creek! We have always gone to the Annville location and we're elated to find one that's a little closer! We stopped in for their daily (4-6) happy hour twice since they opened this location. We enjoyed the $4 apps and 1/2 price pizza, in addition to the $2 off drafts and 1/2 price menu cocktails. The egg rolls were a 5/10, the pretzel a 8/10, and the meatballs were a 10/10 for us! The second time they had their birthday cake sour and it's amazingly good! We'll be back again soon. read more

The Citra Haze delivers. It's a hoppy unfiltered ale. There might more emphasis on "citrus" than "Citra" hops, but that's ok. It's fresh and juicy and has some hops. The place has a brew pub vibe. I'll come back. read more

We're new to the area and wanted to try someplace new (which is almost everything). We had no preconceptions about this place, and were completely blown away. It was around noon, so too early for beer for our taste, but the selection of beer looks and sounds wonderful. From the looks of other customers, they agreed. I ordered the strawberry salad and relished every bite. My wife ordered the steak tacos and likewise ate every bite. Being a new place for us, we absolutely had to try one of the desserts, in this case the skillet chocolate chip cookie drizzled with caramel and topped with ice cream. A perfect Sunday afternoon lunch. The menu has a lot of interesting sounding dishes that would suit almost anyone. I just had a fantastic lunch! A special thank you to Reagan for impeccable service. It is by far the most important to my experience anywhere I go. I absolutely love the aesthetics and decor from plating to the art above the bar. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the Eggs in Purgatory but I was pleasantly surprised! This will be a signature item that will stick with me and draw me back! I also got to experience Taco Tuesday for 1/2 off Tacos and it was certainly a great deal. Everything was very bright and fresh! From service, to quality, to presentation I needed to take the time to review. Well tacos are what I call "tiny tacos". Reg price for 3 are $16-$18. Even with half price too much for tiny tacos. My daughter couldn't eat the Salmon Tacos, said seasoning was terrible for fish. This is my first time trying it and wish I could leave 3.5 stars. It's a busy place that lacks parking. It's also exceptionally loud inside. I asked the waitress what veggies they had and she said we don't have any. What??? I thought she was messing with me, but nope no veggies. The food overall is good but not great. It's over priced for what you get. I had the bangers and mash. Which the bangers were hard and are supposed to be tender. My bother ordered chicken tacos and said they were gross and left them behind. His fries were mushy like the fryer couldn't get to temp so they were just a greasy mess. However the peanut butter cake is very good (made by funks). The blueberry beer is also a winner. The only way I would return here is during happy hour to receive $2 off drafts, other 3 blueberry beers leave and pick up food elsewhere. read more

Everything's amazing here! I had a few of the beers on tap and they were all excellent. I had the stuffed meatballs and let me tell you that red sauce is one of the best I've ever had plus the meatballs are homemade, which makes them really good.
