I recently stopped by YAH Brew in Hershey for happy hour and enjoyed the unique atmosphere. The whole place leans into a retro theme, from the arcade games and music to the food and drink menu, making it a fun change from your typical brewery or bar experience. A few highlights from my visit: Fun retro atmosphere with arcade games, throwback music, and nostalgic décor. Regular events, including trivia nights and other activities. Detailed menu descriptions that clearly explain the ingredients in both the food and drinks. Plenty of parking available behind the building, around the corner from the donut shop. Clean and well-maintained bathrooms. Relaxed environment, especially during off-peak hours. For the food and drinks: The food was good, though nothing particularly memorable. The cocktails leaned on the sweeter side, but the menu does a great job describing what to expect, so there were no surprises. When I visited around 5 PM, the restaurant was fairly quiet, which made for a laid-back happy hour experience. Overall, YAH Brew is worth checking out if you're looking for a fun atmosphere, retro arcade vibes, and a place to unwind after work. Cool vibe (family friendly), good service and a great meal our first time here. It was happy hour so we got a smashburger, chicken quesadilla and 6 wings. I thought the food was great and I really enjoyed the Thai peanut sauce on the wings which were ordered extra crispy and came out just like that. My only complaint if you could call it that was that the beers were a little bit flat and the flavors weren't great. Certainly adequate as an accompaniment to a meal, and not bad, just not great. Heck YAH! I have been here a few times for happy hour and bingo. Tuesday night trivia was calling my name recently and I was so glad that I went. The food was great and the drinks were yummy. They had lots of 90's nostalgia around which was fun to look at. I enjoyed all the music videos from back in the day playing on the tvs. The service is hit-and-miss, though. You order at the counter and they bring your order to your table. Two different visits, they forgot my friend's food order. They are typically pretty full on event nights, so things slip through the cracks sometimes. A little patience goes a long way b/c the quality is still very good. The burgers have been excellent every time I come. I've had the house smash burger and the mushroom Swiss and both were fab! This was my first visit, and I stopped in right when they opened at 11 AM. It was super quiet (only about 3 other people there), which honestly made for a really relaxed, easy first experience. Finding It Parking Tip.. If you're going for the first time, just know it's a little easy to miss. Parking is in the back, and then you walk up the side of the building. It's the second spot in from the left if you're facing the plaza. There is signage, plus a blue flag out front (currently with a beer mug on it), but since the plaza has a lot of similar black-and-white signage, it doesn't immediately stand out. The woman who took my order was incredibly kind and helpful, which set the tone right away. You order at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you super simple and smooth. I ordered, Mimosa Flight (Watermelon, Mango, Cranberry) 12 Wings: Thai Peanut + Alabama White BBQ The mimosa flight was such a fun option perfect if you like variety and want to try different flavors. The wings were flavorful and definitely hit the spot. I'd absolutely order them again. This place 100% passes the vibe check. They were playing 90s hits on the TV, and I was literally dancing in my seat. The decor leans into that nostalgic 90s feel, which makes it feel fun and laid-back, like a spot you'd want to hang out in, not just eat and leave. It was a little on the cooler side inside (the door and window were open, and I sat near the entrance), so just something to keep in mind depending on the weather or where you sit. I'm honestly kind of mad I didn't stop in sooner. This feels like one of those low-key spots that could easily become a go-to for meeting up with friends, grabbing drinks, and just enjoying a good atmosphere. Great concept poor execution. Layout is poor. Where you go to order doesn't allow for you to flow through and exit the line when you are done. They offer a kids menu but will have no way to add a side of bacon to the kids burger. Don't order the "Deep fried pizza rolls" unless you want Tostitos pizza rolls though they are not advertised as such. Also the espresso martini is horrible. They argued they didn't need to add vodka to it. It was just coffee flavored syrup. The pin ball games cost $1 per play. Kinda silly but ok. Yes, yes, yes, this place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere inside of its place makes me feel like I'm back in the 90s early 2000s. They have arcade games inside of this place. They play hip-hop and R&B from the 90s with music videos and I love it all. That's what makes this place really cool you get music a good vibe and great food. . Everything on this menu I want and the names of the drinks are even cooler. This place definitely has the potential to be even bigger because of how unique the restaurant and the menu is. What's even cooler is it's located right outside of Hershey Park when we arrived, we must've arrived when this place was open and our service was impeccable. My husband found this place and got a recommendation from friends. The weird thing I found the menu on there website but we had it on Yelp and it wasn't current either so we went blind on this. When we came into colors that were 90's Save by the bell one. It was a mix of bar and 90's hang out it included pinball machines which I love that to thing if I had more time I would a dollar a game. I didn't know if it was a wait staff or a cash register. So we got over to order a the register the guy was friendly and helpful. We pick our own seats and then when the food is done they serve it to us. Instead of the shareable coming as a appetizer and the rest came too. Rich's BBQ burger was very saucy and dissolved nothing special. The chicken, bacon, and ranch quesadilla which I didn't taste any ranch and most of the chicken was falling out plus it was greasy and I couldn't eat it all which is never a good thing. The major sharable which is "crappy no chicken" chicken strips, mozzarella sticks I'm ok with that, Mac and cheese bites and pizza rolls nothing special. I thought the first thing it is a 90 nostalgic hang out vibe and the bathroom's meh and the wall of art could be more to desire seeing people going on toilet haha. For an ADHD not with the loud music and if groups of people it got to him. I'm a nine's kid who would have loved this if better food and more space. A GREAT place to relax and enjoy a long day of driving and fast paced life! My son (26) and I went for a walk and stopped in. A really good atmosphere! Plenty of local and themed drinks. He had mozzarella sticks and I had the chicken quesadilla, also 1/2 dozen dry rub Cajun wings (it was .75 wing night). All 3 foods were delicious!! I had a K9 lite ale which was delicious. The drinks were themed with 90's songs names, which was amusing to my son and I. We thought it was a great idea! They have 4-5 pinball machines, with cup holders, we really enjoyed playing them. They were playing 90's and 2000's dance and rap tunes from YouTube when we were there. Very enjoyable. The bartender was very pleasant and attentive. She took our orders and they came out quicker than expected. They have trivia nights and other events. If you're in town and want a break from the chain atmosphere, you should check it out! We LOVE yah brew! The beer is good, the service is great, the food is good, and the fact it's a 90's brewery is even better! We've been here many times and enjoy most of the sour beers that they produce. We've also enjoyed their happy hour where you can get a "one and one" for 5 bucks! Their bartenders are so friendly and always willing to give you a sample of whatever beer you want to try. We love the 90's tunes and fact that you can play Mario when it's not super busy. They also have trivia on Tuesday evenings, but it gets very busy so get there early! read more

Nice cozy brewery with delicious beer and cocktails. Nice parking in the back, so it's not hard to find a spot. They have a few pinball machines to play and also have food. These pictures are from past visits in October, which was great, just revisited yesterday and was still excellent. We got blue jello shots tasted yummy, not a ton of booze in them, but only $3 bucks. This place is a bit strange. It is extremely small (I think it had the max occupancy posted as 47). I really wanted to like this place, but everything just fell flat. I had the orange push pop sour beer and it was just okay. I think Rotunda does a better job with their beers. The food is where everything took a downward turn for me. I ordered the pizza rolls ($7 for 10 rolls), thinking I was going to get house made pizza rolls. No. I was served 10 Totino's pizza rolls with a side of marinara that had Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top of it for show. $7 for 10 pizza rolls!! I also ordered the soft pretzel and was served a Super Pretzel that someone surely picked up in bulk at Costco lol. There was absolutely zero originality in their food and the lack of creativity fell flat for me. My husband ordered a burger, which he said was unimpressive. It also came with a bag of Lay's potato chips as a side. I don't know, I just feel like this place could improve with a little more effort put into their menu. Not my style of place/brewery. Our party of 5 visited recently and all of us couldn't get past the obnoxious colors and decor'. While I get the whole MTV/90's theme they are going for, I think the atmosphere detracted from the beer. This place is odd. I can see it serving the tourism spike we get in the summer but goodness it is not an enjoyable place. It was way too loud, even with a half full spot. Like, earsplittingly loud. I wanted to like this place but it's not for me. We went with friends for Sunday brunch and the place kind of smelled funny and was freezing. The service was friendly so we had hope. We ordered various breakfast options which were pretty pricey for the quality they were. The "Classic Breakfast" $12 - The eggs were brownish green, some of the sausage was still frozen on the inside, and it just didn't taste good. It looked like they took powdered eggs and frozen meats and just microwaved it. The kids got $10 chocolate chip pancakes which I am sure were frozen. They were flat and chewy. I got the smash mouth and it was pretty much a burger on waffle buns. It was decent but I had to deconstruct it to eat it. My husband got the tacos which were also decent but didn't come with a side. Overall the food was cold and meh for the price. We tried the huge bloody mary and that was fun - It had so much on it topping wise and that was quite impressive but the bloody mary itself was watery. We left shaking our heads. Yah Brew is a new and trendy '90s themed bar. The bright colors, painted murals and arcade games make this place a hit with adults and kids of every age. They seem to have new beers weekly, and the male bartender with the long hair that works on Thursday's goes out of the way to make sure you enjoy your time, atmosphere and the drinks!
