I don't get why this place isn't rated higher -- we had an awesome lunch here. The vibe was upbeat, the food was great, and everything came out looking way better than I expected. My daughter got a mint chocolate chip milkshake that was huge. She kept talking about how good it was for the rest of the day. We split the pork nachos, and I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the best nachos I've ever had. Fresh, moist pork, tons of whole chips, and nothing skimpy about the toppings. Came here with a group of coworkers and our kids. We were able to make a reservation online a couple of days in advance, which was super convenient. Our server was incredibly sweet and friendly. The food is very rich, and of course we had to try the Ferris wheel appetizer. The kids were hoping the different dishes would spin too! Everyone agreed that the bacon was more like pork belly bites--way too fatty. Thin, crispy slices would have been much better. I had the salmon with the Heath Bar crunch - yum! The flavors of the sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and salmon were so rich I couldn't stop eating. The only downside was that the salmon was overcooked. Other dishes at our table included a burger, shrimp risotto, and some kids' meals. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, and we left completely stuffed. We dined for Easter Brunch and had a delightful experience. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. The decor is so fun and bright and there is a great view of Chocolate World. We ordered the Ferris Wheel and shared that along with a salad and flatbread - it made for a great Instagram picture! The food was just OK and you can tell that not a lot of the ingredients were fresh. A lot of what they serve was previously frozen, Prices are what you would expect for a theme park restaurant but not as outrageous as Disney. My only real complaint is that the servers are not knowledgeable about ingredients. We asked about ingredients due to an allergy and a server had to track down three other people in order to find out what was in a particular sauce. Skip dessert here and go to the ice cream parlor or bakery downstairs where there is more of a selection and not as expensive! If you are looking for a theme park dining experience without expectations for gourmet or high quality food, then dine here and enjoy your meal before or after the park! read more

A friend wanted to eat here so I happily agreed to give it a try. The restaurant is huge, which I'm sure is packed when Hershey Park is open. We had a great server which is always a plus. I ordered a Cobb Salad which was OK. I could have walked into one of a dozen restaurant and had the same quality salad. The salad was filled with chopped vegetables and bacon. They didn't add Bleu Cheese, using cheddar instead. I guess for the cost of the salad I expected more. read more

Stopped by chocolate world and saw the chocolatier and got a reservation on open table right away. We were greeted and seated immediately. Ive included a Pic of the food menu. I got the reeses chicken sandwich which was so good but if you want a strong pb flavor ask for extra sauce on the side. My husband got the chocolate tier burger. Good but same needed more sauce. Fries were crispy and cooked well. Too full for dessert. Service was good. Its a fun casual theme park esthetics like you are in a carousel. read more

Overall a decent dining experience was had at The Chocolatier. And the general consensus seems to be that the Food here was pretty good but the Drinks stole the freakin show. And well, why not when you're talking about their incredibly indulgent Reese's Martini, or their super deliciously decadent S'mores Martini drinks. It just stands to reason that whatever main courses they served next had very little chance of overshadowing these outstanding refreshments. The Loaded Mac and Cheese with tender Pulled Short Rib and Smoked Cheddar Queso topped with Hershey's Chocolate BBQ Glaze was clearly a winner. Served in a "Kiss" shaped dish and with plenty to go around. [I'm definitely borrowing this recipe peeps] The Bourbon Maple Glazed Chicken and Waffles seemed to be lacking in both texture and flavor unfortunately the hand breaded Chicken offered zero flavor and the same could be said for the bone-dry Waffle. Thanks to that Maple Glaze and Huge Blob of Butter this dish would have had no chance whatsoever, Lol. There is a reason The Chocolatier is the premiere spot to eat at Hershey Park. The kitchen serves up some hearty dishes and the presentation is a step above a standard restaurant. If you want the flashiest item, you need to get the appetizer sampler. It comes on a mini Ferris wheel! The kids were astounded and amazed. They even ate! The food was pretty good. And do not worry, there are dishes that do not have any chocolate, I promise. Again, if you want the maximum presentation, order a meal that comes in a skillet - a Hershey's kiss shaped skillet! So yea you can see the theme. The food is good but the presentation is the best part. Top it all off with a chocolate martini and you get the full experience. read more

Service was impeccable! Everyone we came across from hostess to server were attentive and welcoming. We decided to give this place a shot since we had been at the park the entire day. The food was definitely hit or miss. The drinks were fantastic! Food wise we enjoyed the ferris wheel sampler the best. Everything included in the sampler was delicious! Especially the glazed bacon bites and fried pickle dip. This was the dip of our dreams! The entrees is where this experience slacked. The loaded mac n cheese had a little too many cocoa nibs. 3.5 stars overall for food but rounded up since our server was great and I feel like this is one of those "must try in Hershey Park" at least once. And reservations recommended! We enjoyed the Ferris wheel app, we all preferred one app over another but overall we all enjoyed the mozzarella triangles, chicken tenders, Cuban spring rolls, dill pickle dip and chips, and pork belly/bacon bites! The chicken sandwich had no flavor and looked like they cooked a frozen patty. The burger was okay. The loaded mac said it has pulled short rib but they sprinkled cacao nibs all over it and my son didn't find the crunch appealing. The beef short rib was good, the sauce infused with cocoa but the cacao nibs really wasn't necessary since you don't really taste it but you have that awkward crunching. Lots of mixed reviews, but after visiting, I have to wonder how much of that has to do with hot parents and cranky kids after a long day out. This place was cool, quiet, and upstairs from the gift shop, so easy to get to coming out of the park. Not bad at all to get to if you're just coming in for the meal from outside, though. If you're in and out just to eat, parking should end up being free. Service was friendly. Food was very good. Had some cool chocolate-infused items: cocoa powder in unexpected, but pleasant places. We had four adults and all liked their dishes. This was a month ago, so I don't remember the names of all the dishes, but I'm adding pictures. If you want a restaurant that makes you feel like you're on vacation - the Chocolatier feels like it brings a slice of Universal Citywalk straight to Hershey PA. Our server Savannah was absolutely amazing and sweet and friendly. She made the perfect recommendations and told my son how he could put the sauce and cacao nibs on the side for his loaded mac and cheese. She recommended a martini when I asked her what to choose. When the martini ended up being too strong, she brought me one mixed with soft serve that was perfect!! (The other one with 2 kinds of vodka was okay but we had more roller coasters to ride and it would not have been good!!!) I ordered the mushroom risotto with shrimp. To be honest I would have preferred a few more shrimp - they were amazing. My husband got a bacon cheeseburger (again) and my son got the loaded mac and cheese with beef short ribs. Omg the ribs were amazing. My daughter had a giant plate of pasta off the kids' menu. My son and I shared carrots dusted with cacao and they were okay but I was underwhelmed. They were good when we dipped them in the chocolate bbq sauce. In all, the portions are gigantic. It's overpriced but that's what you get for eating inside the park at a tourist place. When leaving the park, they have a gimmicky chocolate themed restaurant that seemed to attract a lot of attention. We tried it out getting a couple of their signature items. Of course we started off with a couple chocolate martinis which were decent and strong. Next we got the short rib and steak which were both absolutely fantastic. Both meats were very tender and were paired with sauces that had a slight chocolate taste/sweetness to it - very similarly to the sweet earthy flavor of mole. I 100% thought this place was going to be a tourist trip but the food was surprisingly very good and incorporated the chocolate very well into each dish. Our server was great as well. We dined at The Chocolatier during our last night in Hershey for my friend's bachelorette party weekend. Looking to get as much of a chocolate experience as we could in the short time we had here, this seemed like an obvious place to check out - so off we went. The Chocolatier is located on the ground of Hersheypark, adjacent to the theme park itself on the second floor of a large open indoor space (the first floor houses a gift shop that is attached to the park). We arrived to a fairly empty restaurant, though I infer it's because it was 8pm during the offseason (many a review say this is a hard place to get into during peak months). The restaurant has a carnival theme with booths made to look like ride vehicles and other aesthetics that give off a theme park feel. The most unique factor of the menu is that some of the dishes are made with chocolate when it normally would not. Besides that, the fare here is pretty much American casual. We decided to start with drinks because bachelorette party - I went with the cranberry spritz which wasn't the best, it tasted like juice more than anything else. For apps we started with the loaded fries and the Ferris Wheel. The loaded fries were good, they were topped with shredded beef and a tasty sauce. The Ferris Wheel was essentially several different apps arranged in plates that doubled as cars of a ferris wheel. Mozzarella wedges, pretzel bites, chicken tenders, chips with dip - it was a fun arrangement; the actual apps themselves were fine - tasty junk food. For my main I decided to get one of their chocolate-themed dishes - the pulled pork sandwich. I wasn't really impressed with it - I couldn't taste any chocolate, and the pork was dry (partly due to the lack of substantial sauce). The fries that came with the meal were fries. Service was a mixed bag, on one had they did an excellent job as one member of our party has severe food allergies and they went above and beyond to make sure nothing that was served to us would trigger them. On the other hand, there were misses - both myself and my friend asked for club sodas and neither of them were delivered. Also, perhaps due to the time, we were not offered dessert - they threw some Hersheys Kisses on the table along with our cheque. Everyone was friendly which was a plus. Overall, The Chocolatier was an underwhelming experience. This is a popular restaurant, though I infer it's due to location, theme, and lack of other options in the area. I came here on April 6 a Sunday with a reservation at 7:15. The restaurant was not crowded and our server Camden immediately greeted us and was so kind throughout our whole meal! I wanted a s'mores martini since I saw a lot of pictures online for it but she said they took it off two days ago because it was seasonal. It seems like a lot of their menu is seasonal since a lot of food I saw online was no longer being offered. I ordered the Reese's burger ($20) which was so large and filling. There were nuts inside but overall tasted like a normal burger you can find anywhere. We took the fries and our milkshake to go since we were so full after just one burger and no appetizer. Wanted the full Hershey experience, so we stopped here for dinner after a day exploring Hershey and have to admit we were pretty disappointed. The drinks were delicious - I'll give them that - but the food was lackluster. I had a margherita flatbread - which was more like dough with sliced tomatoes, a few small dollops of mozzarella, and saturated in chocolate infused balsamic - making it far more of a caprese than margherita. I had a side of the mushroom risotto as well which was okay but nothing to write home about. I have no qualms with the new; places that open to give opportunity for unique experiences, even when they come with a corporate price tag which lends more credence to an attempt to simply rein in more revenue. The Chocolatier has that unique quality of offering food with flair and boasts a small, but varied menu that doesn't overwhelm. I've noticed it takes a while for food to get to the table after ordering, even when it's not crowded, but I can't speak for staffing. Its position over the gift shop at Hersheypark adds a chaotic atmosphere, especially during the peak season, but this is also convenient for Park goers. The first time I went here, I ordered the pulled pork which I found satisfactory in flavor and price. The second time was just as enjoyable, but the third time, as I ate with my sister's family, I was disappointed. Chicken fingers are a part of the ferris wheel appetizer and, while they are tasty when cooked, are rather unappetizing when served with raw interiors; especially when being provided to children. The staff, however, were accommodating and contrite, and quickly replaced the item which was the only issue on the platter which was waived from our fee; everything else was delicious. Then, when the checks came for our two families, I had an item (one soda) added to mine, but this was a small issue I was willing to overlook. The thing that boggled me once I realized too late, was that my check was returned with my sister's card and she had, thus, paid for my meal, and I hers. I don't know how our cards and checks were swapped; it seemed almost intentional because each check was enclosed in its own booklet with the respective cards. Our meals were similar enough in price for me not to fuss over it, but the blunder put a damper on our departure. As a Hershey-area resident, I have to admit I'm regretfully hesitant to try the Chocolatier again. read more

There was no explanation for a need for reservations, and when we went to check in around 2 PM today we were told they were not taking any more walk-ins. No apology, no gentle approach to letting us know. No signage or anything indicating they were done with walk-ins. Overall, we are very disappointed in the service and response from Hersheypark and despite the amount we paid to get in the park - we felt like they took advantage of us. Not happy with the park. Milton Hershey, in history, seemed to be very giving to his community and those around him. I don't see his heritage being considered at all. It's all about money here and nothing else. Very frustrated and disappointed with this experience. But, we found the Mill at Hershey was a great experience - don't waste your time at the park with their tourist traps. Go to the Mill. I came here to eat when I visited Hershey, PA. I heard many amazing reviews on Tiktok and how they put chocolate in everything, even the savory foods. It is a lot of American food, including classics and fried foods. We got the Ferris Wheel sampler to share ($38). The food itself felt basic because it just had wings, mozzarella sticks, pretzels, corn cheese, and tenders. We also got the cocoa cuban and pulled pork, but the chocolate taste is very subtle. I didn't really taste it, nor did I know what I should have been looking for. We parked fairly far away with the other park visitors. I think this place is good to try once and experience. SERVICE: I came here with a party of 9 and unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation. The hostess, Kaitlyn, did tell us that we can sit at the outdoor patio, which was first come first serve and was basically empty. We all sat outside, but what she did not tell us was that the outdoor patio had a limited menu. So we all had to go back inside and be put on a waitlist to get a table indoors. I wish Kaitlyn would've mentioned that because then we would not have wasted the time going outside in the first place. It did seem like she had a bit of an attitude, so I decided not to deal with her and asked to speak to the manager instead. There were a lot of tables empty as well, but we were told they were reserved. Upon leaving, those tables were never occupied. The manager, Desiree, was kind enough to notify us that it was not going to take the said 30 minutes to get a table, but rather 10 minutes and that she will expedite it for us. So within about five minutes, we actually got our table and it took us a while for our server, Baron, to take our orders. Eventually when he did, it also took a while for our food and drinks to come out. This was towards the end of the night, so it was not that busy. One of my friends had ordered a side of the mushroom risotto along with his chicken and waffles entrée. He got his chicken and waffles, but never got the mushroom risotto. So he had to ask about it and they gave him a small sauce cup full of roasted mushrooms. We were also confused. The manager then said she will make it right and after he finished his entrée, he got his side of mushroom risotto which turned out to be dry. For an issue like this something as simple as a mushroom risotto side dish for $7.50, I feel like they should have comped him for that side dish. Not only was it delayed, but they gave him the wrong dish as well. The other issue I had was my check was wrong. I had someone else's side dish on my check. when I brought it up to our server, Baron, he gave me a new check, which was completely different, but it was less than what I expected so I put my card down and paid for it. I figured for the hard times they were comping one of our dishes. he then proceeded to charge the wrong card (my friend's credit card) for our check. It's a good thing I noticed it and then he had to void that check. when he ran the correct card, the total was completely different than what the check he gave me was - even after I clarify the total with him and he said yes. I got really frustrated that I had to ask to speak to a manager again, who ended up giving us a discount for the hard times. While I understand that we were a party of nine and we did split our check five ways, I felt like the least he could have done was compensate something rather than having us wait until he tried to fix the issue multiple times. FOOD: Crispy Chicken Sandwich ($21): so the special thing about this sandwich is that it has a Swizler's hot honey sauce, which one which I was a little skeptical about, but overall the crispiness of the chicken is what blew me away. The chicken was very crispy. My only step back though was the chicken meat itself was dry. Slow-Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich ($19): right off the back, I could tell there was not enough sauce on the pulled pork sandwich and when I took a bite, it was very dry. I had to ask for more of their Hershey's barbecue sauce on the side. The chocolate flavor in the barbecue sauce was not my cup of tea. The other thing was that the pulled pork lacked any smoky flavor. I don't think it was anything to write home about. DRINKS: Cookies N Cream Milkshake ($18.75): their milkshakes overall are definitely more for show for the over the top presentation, which is the reason why you're paying $18.75 . I did enjoy the cookies and cream milkshake. It came with a cookies and cream covered pretzel stick as well as a slice of cake. Personally, I thought the slice of cake was not that great. The other thing I noticed is that the milkshake was 1/3 whipped cream. Twisted Strawberry Milkshake ($18.75): this milkshake was topped with two cake pops that taste exactly like a Twizzler, as well as a chocolate covered strawberry. I'm not that big of a fan of twiddlers but if you are, they really nailed the flavor on this milkshake. Smoked Chocolate Tequila Old Fashioned ($20): I don't typically do old fashioneds, but when I saw someone from another table order it, I had to try it. They bring the cocktail in a box full of smoke so again you are definitely paying for the presentation. This was definitely the highlight of my experience. I never thought I would like an old-fashioned this much. The tequila had such a smooth flavor and the brown sugar syrup complimented not only the smokiness, but the chocolate bitters perfectly. I booked a reservation for 6 at the Chocolatier on a Friday evening. We were greeted by a friendly host who offered to help me if I wanted to switch tables due to spacing since we had a baby in our group. We didn't end up switching tables which was fine. Our server was great-I don't remember his name, but he was friendly and quick with ordering. We parked in the Chocolate World parking area because i didn't want to pay $$$ to park all 3 of our cars for a 2 hour dinner. So we just watched what time our parking tix was stamped and made sure we were leaving the parking area in 2 hours. I absolutely think Hershey should offer free parking for anyone only eating at the Chocolatier. We are locals and we only wanted to eat and then leave. I spent around $300 on dinner so I would think we should have our parking tix validated for free 2 hour parking. The decor at the Chocolatier was cute...Christmas trees and other decor made it festive. My DIL had a Reese's martini which she enjoyed. Both my son and SIL had milkshakes and they both agreed that the whipped cream had no flavor...it seemed to be missing sugar. My SIL liked his shake, but said the peanut butter pie that was on top of the shake wasn't the best he ever had. My son had the cookie on top of his cake and that was tasty. He enjoyed the Mac n cheese in the Hershey kiss skillet...cute! I had the shrimp tacos which were good, but I think the $19 cost was a bit pricey. It was my birthday that evening and when I made the reservation on Open Table I was even asked if there was a special occasion. We visited the Chocolatier shortly after they opened on a Saturday. First, we had a reservation and I'm fairly certain they were turning everyone away without one, so plan ahead. Although the bar was empty (which would've been my choice but, alas, we had our five year old with us). We were seated right around the time of the reservation and our server Octavio came to the table quickly. He took our drink orders and I was happy when he returned in short order with two beers and a milk for our son. We typically order our sons food first so he has something to stay occupied and give us a break. But he wasn't into the kid's menu, nothing bad, but nothing special either. We decided to get Ferris Wheel Sampler: Hershey's Chocolate Barbecue Chicken Wings, Crispy Mozzarella, Classic Chicken Tenders, Cheesy Corn Dip, Soft Pretzel Dippers. This was going to double as an unhealthy start to our meal and an unhealthy lunch for our son. We told the server we would order our entrees when the appetizer came out (I'm glad we waited!). It took a long time for this thing to get to our table, I gave up keeping track of time after 35 minutes. Even though this was slow, our server kept our drinks full and we were fine just relaxing. The Ferris Wheel is cute in theory but not the easiest to navigate, it would be easier if it actually turned so you could get to the food. Nonetheless, we tried it, the tenders were okay as was the mozzarella, the wings were pretty good and I was happy the sauce wasn't too sweet. Pretzels were decent but the best item was the cheesey corn dip; that's a must have! We did order our entrees, a chicken sandwich for my wife and a burger for me. Nothing special for either. Fortunately these did not take 35 minutes like the appetizer but it wasn't quick either. The burger was great, perfectly cooked (seasoned too) and the fries were good. I would come back here, not do the Ferris Wheel appetizer, but definitely order a burger and request Octavio to be our server. The Chocolatier is indeed a delight for the senses, and a reservation is highly recommended! Surely to sweeten the day, the restaurant boasts appetizers, main course, and beverages of all sorts concocted with all things chocolate. Careful to note in the varieties, especially where nut and gluten are present in the dishes. Time is of the essence, I was able to enjoy my cocktail and small plate despite the stall in service (even with reservations). My chocolate martini was absolutely delectable, and the ribs were sticky, sweet, fork tender, and fall off the bone yummm. It's definitely a treat to indulge! As others have mentioned, time slows down here. Service is a bit jammed as they cater to large parties, and process flow in the kitchen may be burdened, especially peak hours. Customer service from our sever the evening we arrived was warm and attentive. While we didn't require much attention, her balance with other parties was demanding and evident. Interesting place. A nice little space tucked just outside the park. It's located on the second floor of what is also a gift shop below. Nearly all the dishes have a creative use of Hershey chocolate in them in some way. The space is nice and modern inside. My daughter had a flat bread with tomatoes, mozzarella and a chocolate balsamic drizzle. She seemed to enjoy it. I tried some and liked it as well. My son had the shrimp tacos. I don't remember them having any chocolate use in them. He was a little disappointed in them. Both in quality and quantity of food. My wife had a burger which also didn't have any chocolate use. I had the chocolate town burger. It came with white cheddar, thick cut bacon and chocolate dipped chips on it. I'm sorry to say it, but I hated it. I think it was the chocolate chips. We visited Pennsylvania for the first time and decided a trip to Hershey Park was in order. When we were doing our research and discovered The Chocolatier, we knew we had to dine here, particularly since we had kiddos with us. The ambiance is very cute, with lots of circular booths and a full bar. Everything on the menu features chocolate in some way (even savory dishes), which may sound odd, but it was fantastic! Service was attentive and fun. The cocktail list was a one banger after another. I think I'm going to try to copy some of their cocktails! Our food was definitely better than what you'd get at most theme parks--and I say this as a previous long-term Disney annual pass holder--but it is still theme park dining. Don't come here expecting a Michelin dine, but do come here expecting above average theme park fare, an incredible cocktail menu, and a ton of whimsy! The restaurant itself just brings back so many memories. You get to experience old rides ( that they have since turned into seating) and photos from Hershey parks past. Reservations are pretty much a must. We weren't able to get a reservation, so we had about a 45 min wait for a table. Note that the bar is first come, first serve and kids are allowed to sit at the bar. The chocolate martinis were incredible, of course. The menu was plentiful with lots of great sounding options. This was a great choice! I found The Chocolatier on OpenTable and made reservations to try something special while in vacation and in the area. The restaurant is located upstairs of the Hersheypark Supply company building, which is right outside the front main entrance of Hershey park at 100 W. Hersheypark Drive, Hershey, PA 17033. There is an entrance to the building/restaurant from outside and inside the park. You can take the park visitor tram from the parking lot straight to the gate and it's rather quick (definitely recommend this option). For food, my partner ordered the cocoa-dusted beef short ribs with whipped yukon gold potatoes, cocoa dusted baby carrots, and a chocolate porter reduction, topped with cacao nib gremolata. I ordered the chicken alfredo with cavatappi pasta and a creamy alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, and parmesan cheese. For dessert, we devoured the Signature Chocolatier Cake, a giant deep dish chocolate chip cookie with cookie dough ice cream, chocolate ganache, mini kisses, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and Hershey's chocolate. Parking is $35 unless you are a season pass holder. This information is not clear on the app. It does mention to visit the main park's website for parking schedule and fees but does not directly disclose the cost. Luckily, we went toward closing and managed to avoid the fee as there was a concert and we were not charged for parking. Another option is to go to Hershey's Chocolate World and then grab some dinner, as there is 3-hour parking at Hershey's Chocolate World for a lower fee. My family and I visited this establishment last week. We had heard great reviews so we wanted to give it a shot ourselves. It did not disappoint. We were seating in a giant Hershey kiss frame. We had the absolute friendliest waitress I ever had. So accommodating and sweet as chocolate herself. We ordered the Ferris wheel app and loved the display. Then my sons ordered the loaded Mac n cheese. My daughter got the chicken fingers and my husband and I split the chicken and waffles. The food was good for what it was.
