I was pleasantly surprised at The Grill! I walked in expecting to get a decent burger and instead I got a really good one, medium temp done correctly. Just a simple cheeseburger but really good! The Arnold Palmer with strawberry tasted fresh and not artificially sweet. The little girl I was with really loved her steak kids meal. I love that they offer steak for kids. Visited here during PETE&C and highly recommend it! Service: our server was amazing! Highly attentive, friendly, and intuitive! I would visit this restaurant again, just because of her! Ambiance: despite the frigid temperatures outside, this place was warm, inviting, and had a contemporary feel. The decor was modern and clean. My chair was pretty comfy too, and I didn't even sit on the booth side. Food: the food was excellent! Our server brought it out almost as soon as we ordered it. I had a cup of some spicy Spanish chicken soup and it was excellent! It had just the right amount of flavor and spice with mini tortilla strips as a garnish. As an entree I had a bacon cheeseburger with barbecue sauce. Of course I don't remember the name of the burger, but it was distinct and they only had three options. It came with lots of fries and I couldn't finish the whole thing. Easily a quarter pound of meat. I was able to get to get the burger ordered the way I liked it (Medium) and it was cooked perfectly! The meal was so much I had to take some home. Parking: there was ample parking and the logical parking lot; i.e. one way in and one way out. We enjoyed our dining experience here. The food hit the spot. My drink was delicious as well. We shared the curry mussels for our appetizer and it was delicious. I had the grilled Salmon. First time here. Lots of off-street parking. Greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Our table gave us a nice view of the outside up front. They had a few options for gluten free meals which is always a plus! Our waiter was very professional and knew the menu. When we didn't get in town in time for lunch at Hershey Pantry, I looked up alternatives here on Yelp. We considered familiar chains like Red Robin but I heard it got really crowded. I saw there wasn't much of a wait at Chocolate Ave Grill. Turned out we did have a wait of 30 minutes but it went quickly! This was peak dinner time, 5:30. The place was fancier than I expected but a laidback vibe and not noisy! The food was fabulous! The homemade pasta was amazing - I could really taste the difference. I had the peach and watermelon salad with grilled salmon. It was so light and refreshing but also filling. My son had the lobster roll and it was fantastic. Everyone said the fries were good as well. My husband had the Smokehouse burger and it looked excellent. Our server, Morgan, was fast, friendly and attentive. We had takeout from here and it was delicious! My husband had the Pittsburgh steak salad and it look so good. The steak was a nice big cut of steak, not shaved. I ordered the southwest chicken wrap. We decided to try the Chocolate Avenue Grill for our anniversary this year. We always try somewhere local, when we're home and we've been wanting to come here for some time. We made a reservation two weeks in advance (highly recommended), and were seated promptly. It was 100 degrees out and thankfully they had seats inside for us! We each ordered our entrees and decided to share a Gorgonzola salad (I should have taken a photo of that salad - I dream of that salad). I ordered the tender bites, which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I subbed out the mushroom sauce for their peppercorn sauce and it was delicious! The wife had their scallops with risotto and said it was fantastic (I don't eat seafood). At just under $75 for both of us, it's definitely not somewhere we'll eat at often, but we will return! We did not end with dessert because we were stuffed. We had no issues with anything and service was fine. The server I had was so sweet and on top of it. He made sure the whole 2 hours I was there my drinks were topped off and I was happy. The restaurant was recommended by several people around town so I had to come stop by! The server I got recommended the seafood pasta so obviously I had to try it. I also love a Brussel sprout so I had to grab those. I will say they came out insanely hot and I didn't realize and burned my mouth. That's my fault I should have temp checked prior to taking a bite. Main course came out and the pasta and scallops were Devine!! The biggest callout on this dish is the shrimp was WAY overcooked. I called this out to my server and he offered a discount. This restaurant came highly recommended by the staff at the Hershey Story Museum, and it's just a short walk, literally a block from the museum, so we decided to support a local spot. Our server, Ricky, was fantastic! He was super friendly and even suggested some of his favorite menu items, which we were really glad we tried. I ordered the blackened mahi with a side of broccoli, since I wasn't a fan of the green beans. My dish was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. The crust was light, and the fish was tender without being overcooked. To kick things off, I started with a cider since it was St. Patrick's Day! Now, for the best part as we saved room for dessert and tried the peanut butter pie. It was absolutely to die for! I can still taste it. The pie was homemade, and I highly recommend it if you go; it's their most popular dessert. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in PA! I visited for the first time despite living in the area for a few years now. They weren't super busy around 6 pm on a Sunday evening and we were seated immediately. We ordered the fried brussel sprouts with hot honey for app and it was delicious! We devoured it immediately, hence no picture. For entrees we got the lobster a la vodka (sub pappardelle for spaghetti), the lobster roll, and the Mexican street corn risotto with salmon and avocado. These were phenomenal. My husband is a fiend for lobster rolls and said this is the best one he's ever had here. We loved the pasta and were happy we got the pappardelle substitution. The pasta had a ton of lobster in it - so did the lobster roll. We were shocked and impressed. The street corn risotto was good and the salmon was perfectly cooked. We wouldn't add the avocado next time, since it's around a $3 upcharge. The specialty cocktails were beautiful and so good! We wanted to try the crème brûlée for dessert but it's made in advance and sometimes they sell out of it. Next time!! Overall, great good, amazing service, parking available in the back or on the street, and prices aren't bad for the quality of food you get. We will be back! read more

I was talking to some locals at the bar and they said that this was one of their favorite restaurants in the area and I see why. From start to finish it was a great experience! It was a little busy when we first got there so we decided to get a couple drinks at the bar. They had a lot of local brewery options that tasted amazing. I'm usually not a fan of IPAs but these weren't overly hoppy like some others that I've tried. The wait time was a little shorter than what they told us. The server we were sat with was extremely friendly. She was happy to talk with us and even cracked a few jokes with us as she was passing by on her way to other tables. The food was really just the icing on the cake. I wish I remembered to take a picture because it looked great. I got the Steak and Cake and everything from the steak to the crab cake to the grits was cooked to perfection. you get a good amount of food for the price you pay as well. From what I heard from the locals I talked to all the meat options are tender and well seasoned, so it's hard to go wrong here. read more

Enjoyed some excellent food at The Chocolate Avenue Grill recently. To start off, the parking is small and gets packed easily. However, there are lots of available parking across the street. That said, since it is busy, expect waiting for a table (about a 30 minute wait) depending on what time you go (I went around 6:30pm). The restaurant has a very casual and comforting vibe, letting a bright natural light shine through the windows. It has lots of indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. Ambiance rate 7/10. My boyfriend and I ordered: 1. Large Garlic Parmesan Fries w/ Truffle Oil: These fries had a generous amount of truffle oil. Some were soft while others were crispy. I loved the garlic aioli on the side! However, for a large size, the portion was kind of small. Rate 8/10. 2. Lobster A La Vodka: This dish was incredible! It had great flavor and had a great amount of lobster. Although the vodka sauce didn't taste like your typical vodka sauce, it was still delicious. Rate 9/10. 3. Bistro Stroganoff: This entrée was so yummy and had a delectable taste. The sliced tender was cooked perfectly to my liking, and had great flavor. Although this dish didn't include sour cream like how it's classically made, it still tasted great. Rate 8/10. The staff was friendly however, the service was a little slow. It took almost 30 minutes for our appetizer to come. Service/staff rate 7/10. The prices for the dishes were fairly priced, and it was great that the drinks were bottomless. It was also nice they offered a 10% off discount for first responders/military personnel. However, it was only applicable to one entrée of your choosing, rather than the entire bill. We decided to try this restaurant while celebrating our anniversary in Hershey. We did make reservations for a Saturday night. When we arrived, there was a wait for a table if you did not have a reservation. We had the Limoncello Spritz and the Italian Gin and Tonic. Both of the drinks were refreshing. We ordered the Mexican Street Corn Risotto with grilled chicken and Spanish Chorizo and Shrimp. The meals did not come with a salad but you can add it for an extra cost. For dessert, we opted for another drink. We choose the Peanut Butter Milkshake martini (which is served in an iced tea glass not a martini glass) and another Italian Gin and Tonic. This is my favorite restaurant so far in Hershey. We have been to Sawsadee, Iron Works Brewery, Finnecis, Choclatier, Harvest at Hershey Hotel, and the Mill in Hershey. We usually go for Asian cuisine,but for American cuisine, I like this place the best. I got the seafood pasta, which was so good. I have not had such a good pasta dish since we had Italian food in Long Island summer of 2023. Service was adequate and good. The dessert was also better than most restaurant desserts. This review is from an August visit so we're due for a Christmas visit. We were seated in the area where a lot of kids were seated so I'll request the main dining area next time. read more
