I went on Saturday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we had a great time! We sat at the bar, which was spacious and had a good vibe. We ordered the mushroom & arugula flatbread app which absolutely hit the spot! I had a mocktail and sprite and my husband had Blue Moon. For the main meal, he had the fish tacos and I had the heartland chicken salad, both which were finished relatively quickly and satisfactorily! For an app, two main dishes, and several drinks, our total bill was $85 which we thought was a great bang for our buck! Also, our bartender/waiter was awesome! Great service and great tips for raising a baby! Will be back again soon! Quality: 4.5/5 Customer service: 5/5 Cost for value: 5/5 read more

Quickly seated nice location, we were 90 % certain of what we wanted, so ice tea ( really tasted of tea) and power lunch special spouse went for a salad and a chicken salad wrap, she wasn't impressed with the salad. Lotta of wrap and not so much chicken salad. I went for the stuffed potato soup ( great ) and Cajun chicken plate , my mistake , (way too spicy) green beans (way too garlicky )and more mashed potato and a roll The amount was what I would expect from a dinner not a lunch The room was busy, but not overly loud people were spaced apart sufficiently, lots of light and table ware was excellent Service was excellent, and we had refills without asking. $48 plus tip read more

There are very few Houlihan restaurants around in Central PA. This Houlihan in Hershey is always an excellent choice for salads, burgers, and entrees. It was a busy Tuesday night, but our server kept up with our tables and others. Meal choice: grilled chicken Caesar salad with soft pretzel appetizer, dipping sauces, and a seasonal Grinch Mimosa cocktail. A fun and festive dining atmosphere this Tuesday, Dec 9. read more

Been fan of Houlihan's since early 90's. When KOP mall location closed I was devastated, as for years my all-day shopping excursions had been refueled by fajitas, 'Shrooms, & crocks of French Onion Soup. Visiting Hershey was cautiously optimistic that I might be able to grab a sliver of that food nostalgia. 'Shrooms app. Did not disappoint! EXACTLY as I recall it. SO RARE that ANY food establishment keeps a dish on menu this long w/o in some way minimizing size, qty, or preparation. Mushrooms were thick, large, stuffed w/ herby cream cheese, crispy-coated, served w/ creamy bite of horseradish sauce. EIGHT of them, 2" in diameter. Kansas City Burger- meaty blend w/ carnitas was so intoxicating- meat juices mixed w/ crunchy sugared bacon makes your eyes roll back. Forgot about soup (could kick myself) & so disappointed Fajitas are gone from menu. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK (& the version from the 90's!) Husband loved beer selections. One complaint- fries were terrible! Dry, tasteless, Ore Ida freezer bag. This my pet peeve. Americans will accept any kind of garbage processed fry thrown on a plate. Someone needs to shake up supply chain or get back to slicing potatoes & dropping them in oil. read more

Call me crazy but these are my favorite fish tacos. The sangria was delicious--moscato, Fireball, apple cider & lemon juice, garnished with a dehydrated apple--tasty! read more

Ask for Daisy! She's awesome. Made a delicious recommendation for the creole chicken which my husband exclaimed just fell apart under his knife. It's show night at the Hershey Theatre so we waited an hour+ for a table, but go in with that in mind & you'll be fine. They're very efficient. They also have special drinks for the shows. We had the Philly Fish House Punch which we were told has rum. Hubs didn't think it was balanced, but I thought it was delicious, citrousy. We had the crab & shrimp dip for an appetizer. It's served warm with hard baget slices with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. I had the spicy chicken & avocado egg rolls from the appetizer menu for dinner. It comes with 6 and they have a kick. I only ate 3. I also had the loaded baked potato soup. It had to much green onion sprinkled on top, but I took that off. It was loaded with bacon & cheese. Came out piping hot & wasn't over seasoned. Sometimes chefs get heavy with the pepper. Parking is plentiful with a parking garage right next door. Bathroom was clean & in working order. Check it out for yourself! read more

Went to dinner here after a day at Hershey Park. The service was very good! The long island pitchers are a bang for your buck! We ordered calamari and French onion soup for an appetizer. For entrees the ahi tuna salad and burger. The tuna on the salad was tasty but overall the flavor combination wasn't my favorite. You can never go wrong with a burger. They have a pretty big menu so I would return and try other items. read more

It's a comfort food chain that's been around for something like 50 years, so everything is pretty much the way you would expect from a place where "Meatloaf No. 9" is a menu staple. Service at this location is pretty consistently good for the greater Harrisburg/Hershey area--reasonably fast and friendly but not quite what you would find in a larger market like Dallas (Denton) TX. The atmosphere is casual but can feel a bit more upscale depending on nearby events and the crowds they draw--folks dressed up for a night at the nearby Hershey Theater will make the place feel a bit more classy. read more

Have been here a few times prior. On this occasion was just for cocktails before a show! They have a huge parking garage kind of parking area so parking isn't an issue. If you sign up for their rewards you get 20 off on your birthday which is a fantastic offer! Service is always great and food and drinks are excellent! read more

Honestly really disappointed. My husband and I got dinner here this last Saturday. We got the Ahi Tuna which was good. I got the grilled salmon and he got a burger. I could easily tell that it was a frozen salmon patty as it was dry and odd flavored. The green beans on the side had no seasoning, just a heaping amount of garlic. The mash potatoes were honestly the best part. My husband said his burger was okay but the bun was soggy. The only reason we are so disappointed is because it ended up being almost $100 for mediocre food and one beer and one basic mixed drink. The only saving grace is our waiter was very nice and timely. read more

Rating : half star to zero if I could We are in Pennsylvania due to a family medical emergency and decided to dine at your restaurant, choosing the outdoor seating area specifically because we had our dog with us. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host, who saw our dog and seated us outside without issue. The waiter also acknowledged our dog, took our drink and food orders, and served us wine. However, approximately 15-20 minutes into our visit, a manager approached us and informed us that dogs were not allowed in the outdoor seating area. We were told we would need to take our order to go, despite already having been served wine and having placed our food order. This abrupt change in policy, after we had already been welcomed and served, felt discriminatory very bias and deeply unfair. The lack of clear communication and consistency in your staff's handling of this situation was unacceptable. It disrupted our meal and added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time for our family. We felt singled out and disrespected, very rude and this experience has left a lasting negative impression. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and implement better training and communication among your staff to ensure that future guests are treated with respect and consistency. read more

Reservations recommended - it gets busy. And even then, they didn't have our initial time, but something earlier, so we booked it over there. They were very full with a wait list after 6p. Kid's meal + paper for coloring, which is good to entertain the little ones. French onion soup was ok, salty and savory. The calamari was ok; not very crisp and they had onions/peppers fried the same way as the calamari, so kids were confused when they bit into something unexpected. Spicy chicken and avocado egg rolls weren't bad, actually. And the mushroom and arugula flatbread was good. Chicken fetticcini alfredo was ok; the noodles were al dente but the alfredo was a lot thicker and congealed quickly even just as they were at the table; the hard bread roll was good with the sauce but if you are like me and don't like grill blackened chicken, skip this. Service was ok; server checked in a few times but then became busy away at bigger tables near us. Booths aren't as comfortable as you'd think.. sometimes I think a table would be better. Overall, not bad for drinks and appetizers. Mains, eh, I'd go elsewhere. read more

-after hostess sat us, no server was informed there was a new table. -men and woman bathrooms were trashed. - tables were filthy and not just ours. Everyone around us. Server would literally deliver the check over the dirty dishes and garbage and not clear anything. -inconsistent glassware. Same martinis served in different glasses. -managements must allow this new type of service bc this location has gone down hill. Horrible experience here. The staff was okay, but the food is straight up horrible and very expensive. We ordered the calamari, yum yum burger, and ribs. All horrible. The restaurant ambience is nice, but that is the only thing nice about this place. You would be paying to eat horrible food in a nice building. Not worth it. They also make it incredibly difficult to leave a review when you Google the restaurant. Never coming here again. read more

Amazing service, plenty of seating for a big group. But at the end of the day the food is just a higher end Applebee's. I had crab cakes, tasted good, but nothing to wow you. My wife had a veggie burger that was greasy somehow and burnt. But the chips and salsa was amazing. read more

Stopped in today for lunch on the patio thanks to some unused gift cards that turned up. We were seated immediately and got a nice table in the shade. Our waitress, Ella, was at our table within minutes to take our drink orders and answer our questions about the menu. We ordered drinks and our appetizer and then sat and perused the menu for our mains. We ordered the Shrooms as an appetizer and I was hesitant because I'm not a mushroom person, but my hubby is so I figured if nothing else he'd eat them. Out came these 6 deep fried mushrooms about the size of a small crab cake. Stuffed with cream cheese they were absolutely delish. I'm a convert! Our entrees were the ahi tuna tacos which were just the right blend of tangy from the sauce, crunchy from the cabbage and creamy from the ahi, and the babyback ribs that fell off the bone. Needless to say the leftover boxes were needed. If you go, please ask for Ella. She was engaging, funny, gave great recommendations and checked back in just the right amount of times. We enjoyed talking with her and made sure we thanked her multiple times for being so great. read more

We loved Houlihan's, now we like it there! I know my review is 10 years old and we've probably been here 10 times since, so I figured it was time to update things. The food is okay, not bad but not great! I don't venture far from what I usually order, the meatloaf - which comes with green beans and mashed potatoes ($18). I have ordered burgers and apps since, but they just don't hit the spot anymore. I'm not sure what's changed but they're just not what they used to be. I also feel like their pricing has gone up a lot on certain food items, which is understandable. We've also had "hit or miss" service and sometimes the hostesses are downright mean. So we don't really go out of our way to come here anymore, which is sad because we once loved coming to Houlihan's every chance that we got! read more

First time back in a while. Disappointed that my wife's gluten free options are dwindling. Everything is breaded, stuffed. Not a single app she can have off menu and most of the entrees have flour. Likely our last visit for that reason. Server friendly and my meal was good. Always have liked the vibe and use of the building. read more

Nathan has been one of the best bartenders I've ever had for almost a decade. He's always very personable to chat with but even when he gets super busy at the bar let's you know he will be right with you and makes the drinks perfect. I'm a local Hershey resident so I'd almost consider him a friend and is why I keep coming back. I've liked most other employees and bartenders I've met. Drinks and food are worth coming back for. Nate and Tim are awesome on bar, I show up for the quality of their product and friendly staff. French Onion soup and Chicken Avocado Egg rolls are the best. read more

We came in for a bite to eat before our long ride home and we were glad to do so. Located in an office complex downtown, its easy to park with an attached parking garage available. Service was quick, efficient, friendly and timely. Our server understood that getting the kids taken care of first is one of the keys to a successful meal and got her a juice and crayons right away. Food was good and very fairly priced. Everything we ordered came out as expected and there were no issues with taste or quality. Perfectly adequate for a quick meal if you are visiting the Hershey Experience. We ate dinner here after the museum and the food was a bit pricey, but tasted good and there were plenty of drink options. It's open concept seating l, so plenty of room for larger groups or a family of four. As loud as it was, it's more like a sports bar than a date location. Our service was great and the food came out reasonably fast. Portions were fine, and it was all pretty standard food and menu choices. Didn't see a ton of gluten free options, but they did have salads. read more

My friend wanted to come here I can say it wasn't my first choice but I was like ok and went with it as she really wanted to come here so that we did. They were decently busy but they were on it and we were seated very quickly and had drinks in our hands in no time. We went with the avocado chicken egg rolls to share for the beginning they were yummy filled with flavor and then when you add some of that salsa onto it they became even better as that salsa was quite yummy with a good flavor they went well with the egg rolls as well as some sour cream on the side. For what I ordered next was the BBQ bacon cheeseburger it was quite yummy on its own as it had some carnitas on top of it with some onion straws and that bacon and cheese it was overall quite yummy and definitely a yummy burger all for it's own. Overall this was a good night our food was yummy our service was good and this was just a good time all together. read more

Wife and I have wanted to try this place for awhile. Got lucky we were able to come in on a weekday. Food and service were excellent. Fancy fried cheese was nice and crispy and deliciously seasoned. We ordered the egg rolls which were pretty good and are main courses were the Fish and Chips and Wedge Steak Salad. Both came out promptly and hot, both were presented nicely on the plates. I stopped in after work on a Monday and ordered soup a chicken Ceaser salad and a Bloody Mary the bartender forgot my soup and the Bloody Mary was Horrible. even though, I came back the next day because I wanted baked potato soup, I ordered a bowl with no cheese, I got a cup with cheese, and a Guinness, While eating I ordered tacos with green beans, the order came out bagged to go with no explanation honestly I felt unwelcome possibly because I was in work cloths. I clearly was eating the soup and had a full beer in front of me. i also noticed orders come out for local customers that came after me. when i got home there was chips and salsa no green beans and my food was cold. these bartenders were terrible I wouldn't step foot in this place ever again. read more

The inside of the restaurant is very nice, a little chilly though. We had a little issue with who was serving us, so it took about 10 mins or so for them to even take our orders. However, our appetizer, crab and seafood dip, was delicious. The bread was nicely toasted and very crunchy and the dip was just delicious. I ordered the meatloaf and it was pretty good, it reminded me of Salisbury steak. As our dessert we order apple pie, and it was delicious! The pie was warm and the cold ice cream helped with the sweetness, and the caramel sauce brought it all together. Overall, a lovely restaurant that I would recommend. read more
