This is located in the bowling alley. Doubt they are part of the alley. Really friendly place. Most you will see are bowlers who stop through afterward or between sets. The food selection is plentiful. From light eating to stuffing yourself on pastas. I have enjoyed several things from this place. And never have I had any complaints. Above par food with good portions The staff is really attentive, talkative, and friendly. Anytime I am at this tournament. This is my go-to place. Drinks were good! The club was amazing! I ordered the taco Tuesday and order 2 soft and 2 hard. The soft were either put in an oven bc they definitely were hard and the hard were more like burnt. So I'm from out of town and stopped in here because it's 5 minutes from the hotel we are staying at. Our waitress honestly wasn't anything special. She was so condescending and not that nice. We got the spinach dip was was absolutely disgusting. It was basically just oil and like microwaved cheese and spinach. However I will say their pulled pork sandwich with cheese and the French fries were soooo good!! Which is why they get 3 stars instead of 2! read more

Came here early on Friday night to expose my toddler aged granddaughter to something new. The cold weather has left us with cabin fever and I'm always on the lookout for low cost ways that keep her entertained. Neither hubby nor I are avid bowlers but we have bowled for fun in the past. This was our first time at Clearview Lanes. The inside was typical of a bowling area with ample seating and lockers. There was pro shop and I believe a snack bar and arcade although we didn't see it. At the time of our visit, around 5;30ish, it wasn't overly crowded. We had no problem securing a lane. We went just for her and didn't plan on bowling ourselves. When we explained this, and that she would probably need us to help her, it was nice that they didn't require us to rent shoes. NOTE: the smallest kid size shoe starts at a 10, and the lightest balls are 6 lbs. Still a bit much for her but they suggested the use of a stand in addition to the bumpers. We never heard of this so I was glad they suggested it. However we were told it would be right over so we went to our lane to wait. And wait. And wait...till finally a good 10-15 minutes later I approached the cashier to let her know we still didn't get it. It'll be "right" over she said. And the waiting game continued.... Another 10 minutes later and we finally had a stand and could start our game. Anybody who's ever had to wait with a toddler while at a fun place will tell you that part isn't fun. But two games in and our toddler was pooped, and best of of all she loved it! And I loved the price tag - 2 games (kid's price) no shoes, free bumpers/stand for $5! She is one cheap date! We already made reservations for the family friendly glow bowl with music and neon lights in two weeks. Hopefully than we won't need to wait 20 minutes for a ball stand. read more

A small, uncomfortable, cold restaurant that served bar food. Not at all impressed Decor: We sat in the dining room (wished we sat in the bar area). It was uncomfortable and crowded. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but we were crowded from the tables and chairs. The chairs were uncomfortable and whenever someone walked by, they would bump into our chair. The air was also cold, so we ate with our jackets on. Everything inside appeared to be old and outdated. I would consider this a dive bar. Service: Our server Megan was nice. She was attentive and fast---at first. As soon as we placed our drink orders and food orders, it was hard to find her. We spent most of the night hoping she would come back to the table to check up on us. I would've understood if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn't. She only had one other table. This irritated me, especially because I wasn't too happy with their burgers. Food/Drinks Drinks were watered down and weak. THEIR BURGERS WERE NOT FRESH GROUND SIRLOIN!! This irritated me the most. I ordered the double patty burger that was stuffed in a grilled cheese sandwich. I told the waitress I wanted to order it medium well. She said okay. When I took a bite out of it--the texture, color, and taste was similar to boca burger (frozen veggie patty). This burger reminded me of a frozen patty that was already cooked. There was no way that you could've receive the burger at the temperature to your liking. Very disappointed. It was wing night (the reason why we were there). You get 20 wings for 10.95 or 20 wings and 20 steamed shrimp for 19.95. My mother and my boyfriend ordered the wings and shrimp combo. The shrimp was over cooked and tough. The wings were jumbo and okay. It didn't wow me. All in all, I probably wouldn't be back. There are a few other places around the area that serves wings. read more

Hennigan's used to be a good place to eat with a decent menu. However since the renovated the restaurant trying to make it seem a little more trendy and revamped the menu its just not a good place to go for food anymore. Menu seems really limited and unexciting. Food portions were really bad too. For example I ordered a Reuben and they were super skimpy on the corned beef. My daughter ordered the Caesar salad which, no exaggeration was a head of Romain lettuce that was slightly grilled. Now I realize it may be some fancy attempt at presenting the salad but fell super short. And the one dish they used to always do great at, the onion soup, was super salty and lacking. Unfortunately I won't be visiting them anymore unless they make some major changes. read more

I feel I am on the fence about this place.... This was our first visit, we were sat in the dining room which was pretty busy. Our server was very friendly and was trying his hardest to stay on top of everything. However, him getting 2 large tables, we were waiting around a lot. They seem that they could use more help for sure. When it came to the food, the prices were not bad and the amount of food you get is pretty large. We got the fried sample app which everything was cooked well and crispy. We had also both gotten the grilled cheese burger and were kind of disappointed. The place is more of a smaller, country, family owned dine than anything. Which I'm not a big fan of. Although it tasted alright, the food was more expensive than it should have been. We visited this place for a post funeral gathering of family and friends as our first choice was booked. The food selection is traditional pub style although they do have a small selection of formal dinners. We started with deck fries which held nothing to tj rockwells rhino fries. While they were ok it was a portion big enough for 2-3 people, overpriced for the size. Some others at the table got crab dip which not only took forever but came out in a tiny little bowl with crackers... Don't waste your money on this one as no crab could be found. We split wings which we asked for non spicy that came out smoking hot so they replaced them with barbecue which were average. We also got a California cheeseburger which came on a ciabatta roll. The burger was dry and rather unflavorful. My wife tried a pumpkin martini which she said was just ok. Some at the table got cheesecake which I was told tasted more like fudge than anything else. My little ones had to take a potty break so we visited the men's room. Needless to say the holes in the wall, sagging ceiling tiles and filthy separator between the sink and toilet made me cringe to use it. As many have said the decor is half early American half antiquish which was suitable I suppose. I will say our waitress was very nice and the owner stopped by many times to check in on us. In the end there are many other restaurants to visit in the area so unless you plan on drinking and bowling I'd advise going elsewhere. read more

Good Wings. Good Soup. They serve meals but their bar food (wings, fries, burgers, nachos, sandwiches, etc.) seem to be the most popular. I've never had "dinner" there but what I did have was good. They have a dining area so you can bring children but they also have a full bar. I had not been in Hennigan's for at least seven or eight years. Years ago, my wife and I stopped in for dinner. When we go there, we were told to wait just a minute while the hostess found us a table. When she went in to the dining room and mentioned to the waitress that she was getting another table, the waitress rolled her eyes and complained (loud enough for us to hear in the next room in a crowded bar). We left without getting a table. After the incident I wrote a letter to the owner explaining the incident and basically telling them that if I had a waitress that was driving away customers, I would want someone to tell me about it. I never received any acknowledgement that they received my letter. Like I said, that was almost a decade ago so I went back a few months ago. The place is the same but the annoying waitress is gone. It's pretty much like any other bar, nothing great and nothing terrible (any more). They are located on the main road just outside of Mount Joy. It's easy to find and there are no parking issues since they have their own parking lot. read more

The owner Sharon tried forcing a vaccine on us employees said we needed to wear mask or get the shot. Than looked at our kitchen manager and maybe a rude remark about her grandparents passing away when told it wasn't her business she than proceeded to laugh about. They spent $200,000 on golf simulators ( I was told from a source) they say they take care of their employees but they don't they take care of theirselves they could careless about the staff they have employed probably why everyone always leaves after a couple days. She will tell you "We take care of employees, and we doooooo" yeah right. Where's your employees raises? Where the money you promised everyone? Lately coming in here table service has not been great. Usually takes a while until the waitress comes by for drinks and then she disappears. To get the check at the end of your meal can be a 15 minute wait and then if you don't hand the payment to them immediately it's another 10-15min wait until they take it. You can have it sitting on edge of table and it will just be walked by 6 or 7 times. It's pretty much the one waitress that's the problem and unfortunately I can't remember her name. You get much better service if you sit at the bar, especially when Kelly is working. She's a great bartender and very personable. Lindsay is also good. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday because we just moved in down the street. First of all, you need to take this place as it is-- it's not meant to be a fine dining establishment. If you keep that in mind you'll have a good time. The food was satisfactory (our party sat at the bar and had tacos and the crab dip sandwich.) The soups here are by far some of the highlights on the menu; especially on a rainy night. Don't skip it. The outstanding thing here I'd have to say are the drink selections. They have a full martini menu and many other specialized drinks as well. I tried two-- both were great. Service was polite, attentive, and energetic. I have been coming to Hennigan's for many years living in Elizabethtown. I never had any bad experiences maybe a long wait but, food was always good. Haven't been here in a while and came tonight, they redid the restaurant but the food is terrible. Food came out half warm and half cold, also took forever for the appetizer which we got the crab dip that came out in a small cup with packets yes packets of crackers for it. I'm not sure if this place switched hands or what but I'm very disappointed on everything. I don't believe I will be coming back again. read more

We are here snacking while dad bowls in a tournament. My son loves the Chicken Fingers and Fries! I am happy this restaurant is here. Most bowling centers do not have as many options. They let us take our snack into the bowling center. My son has his Nintendo plugged into as well. The tournament lasts 4 hours. read more

I've heard from some regulars that if you happen to hear the train pass by,then there is a bell by the bar area which you should ring(I am not sure how far this is true). I have only been a patron of the bowling alley, and have not visited the restaurant portion of this establishment. But if you're looking for something inexpensive and family friendly to do, I would highly recommend bowling a few rounds here at Clearview Lanes. I love the program they have in the spring where they have a bus that picks kids up from local schools and bring them over to the alley. My son has such a good time. They even have a Kids Bowl Free program in the summer! For a few bucks, you can include a summer pass for you and your partner so all of you can go as often as you like and just pay for snacks and shoe rental if you don't have your own bowling shoes. Now on the topic of snacks, I didn't have many options the one time I tried to get something to eat. They were out of most of what I chose off their menu. But I settled on a soft pretzel that was very, very hard. But being that I was starving, it was edible. When I lived in Lancaster, I used to visit Leisure Lanes fairly often. But I do not miss that place one bit. The facility is clean and bright. The staff is so friendly. We'll continue to make coming here a habit for our family. read more

Always a good time! We eat here often. Food is always good and the specials are amazing. We especially like Schwing night on Thursday's. Shrimp and wings, a great combination. The inside of this restaurant's decor is very outdated as are the serving dishes. Ol mom & pop type feeling. The deck is nice with the exception of the speeding Amtrak train the comes thru with horns & and will jolt you to the point of possibly flinging some food or knocking over a table (if you've had a few of their cocktails). Wait staff was nice, just young & a little confused as to who had what responsibility, from the 10 min stand off on a slow night due to them not knowing where the "seater was, looking confused & apologetic but no one offered to seat us, just insisted we stand on the stairs until he was located. Service was a little slow, so I don't recommend this for a quick bite to eat, chances are the first beer will be gone by the time you appetizer heads your way. The food isn't anything to write home about, wings are okay, tend to end up more like a chicken jerky you have to gnaw at but no one seems to notice (cocktails) They do offer a cheeseburger challenge, 3lb bacon cheese burger (legit called the heart stopper with 2 lbs of fries (delicious coated & crispy) that will leave you having chest pains but comes with a free meal if you can eat it in thirty, with the cocktails I'm sure you'd have a group cheering you on. Other unique things on menu (cheeseburger with egg & peanut butter I had a southwest chicken which was very good, fresh and I didn't need any dressing with their amazing home made salsa on it. My husband had a big four, which is basically a cheeseburger in a smashed grilled cheese, and he had no complaints. They have specials (seafood feast etc.) which are a little pricey. Do not go to this shit hole of a place. For MONTHS before AND after the whole covid shit down happened, I've been getting phone calls from my 53 year old mother, Shelby, so upset because she was treated like complete shit while working here! My mom is an AMAZING server and has been one pretty much her whole life. She worked at mosbys for a pretty long time before coming to this disgusting place so many mount joy/Elizabethtown people probably know her! My stepfather has had 2 strokes within the past 5 years and can no longer work so all my mother was trying to was make a living and get her last child, still living at the house, through high school and it brings me to tears thinking about how she was treated. They would completely fill up all of the younger girls sections and my mom would have 1 table the entire night. I've wanted to call and talk to the owner (who my mom says is a great guy, it's the daughter that's "running" things over there) but she was against it because she was afraid of the repercussions from the daughter, but let's be serious, it couldn't have gotten any worse. She finally had enough and quit after getting pulled into the office yesterday and yelled at because the bartender walked by and saw an empty iced tea glass so she refilled it and the manager took it as my mom was "ignoring her table" complete fucking BULLSHIT!!! As someone who is in the restaurant industry and as a management perspective, its disgusting to think that my mom (or anyone) was bullied out of a job! You should never feel anxious or scared to go to work! I'm very happy she stood up for herself but let me tell you, I was thiiiiis close to contacting a lawyer for her. read more

My family often patronizes Hennigans and have never had a bad meal. My favorites are the crispy chicken salad with their own made hot bacon dressing (the BEST I've ever had), beef tips over sourdough bread and the chicken quesadillas. My husband and son love their rib dinner. The staff is always very nice and accommodating. This is definitely our go-to restaurant close to home when we want a good meal.
