Got hungry while walking in Colombia enjoying the views of historic churches and buildings. We came upon the Union Station Grill and were pleased with the ambience, service and food! We started with Bomb fries. Then ordered a House salad and peppercorn sauce steak with asparagus and potatoes. The steak was well seasoned, tender, juicy. We ordered two more bomb fries to go to share with family. We will definitely be back for steak and try their burgers. Unisex restroom was clean!!!! On the street parking. We were a party of 5. I did make a reservation because I wasn't sure on a Saturday night how busy it was going to be and I'm glad I did.. I have to say it was a very strange experience. The food was really good but drink served in Styrofoam cups was very offputting. Purchased some damn glasses!! I did not like that at all. Our server was OK. She did the best she could because it was busy. I had the old Bay burrito was freaking awesome. Two of my kids had pizza. We came on a Sunday afternoon where they only had their late night menu. We decided to order a variety and got old bay wings, crab dip fries, and cheesesteak egg rolls. The husband and I popped in to grab a bite. Cynthia, the bartender and our server was great; friendly and attentive. I ordered the Brussels sprouts...not sure how I'd like them as I'm particular with my sprouts. These were delicious. Interesting...but delicious!! The husband ordered a chicken sandwich of some sort and enjoyed it. My salmon tacos were ok. I did fill up on my brussel sprouts so I only ate 1...not sure I'd order them again. Purchased take out approximately one year ago, bill was $120.00. The food was horrible. Decided to give the restaurant another try and go for happy hour. We sat outside since it was a nice day and ordered off the happy hour menu. The bartender was attentive and kept the drinks coming. My pork sliders were black and dry. I was shocked that the kitchen would serve pork that looked like that. The brussel sprouts were sweet but, I did not read the menu stating they had caramel sauce on. Seems like the restaurant was gone down hill over the years. I am sorry to say, we will not go back for food. read more

Well, the cauliflower wings went down the tubes. Not the same anymore. Heavy breading, small pieces, not a healthy alternative any longer. So weird....they were so awesome last year. I love this spot as a place in a small town that ppl can go to. The service was great and the community is amazing. Found Union Station Grill online near us. Never been there before. What a fantastic experience. Chloe, our waitress was so calm and attentive. She didn't miss a step. The food was top tier. We got a cocktail named "Millions of Peaches", yummmmm!! We got six Thai chili wings. They were cooked perfectly and crispy and big. Excellent wings. We got three entrees, salmon burrito bowl, Caesar salad with salmon and a special Tropical salmon burrito bowl. All three were cooked perfectly, and presented well. The outside bar is on a quiet street and the whole place is just chill. What a perfect find. The chef even came to our table because my wife was asking about the salmon not being cooked in a seed oil. The chef came out to ask her questions so she could get it right, and then the chef came out again later to check on how we were doing. Amazing POSITIVE EXPERIENCE tucked away in the heart of Columbia. We will sooooooo be back and tell others!! Will definitely ask for Chloe. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. read more

Haven't been in years, but always remembered them having good food - and they still do! We weren't sure what the dine-in situation was, so we made a reservation in advance. Tables are seated every other and spatially distance, staff is wearing masks, tables being sanitized in between and QR code for online menu. Everything on the menu sounds very good and I like that they offer a little bit of everything. The portions are huge! Our table split the egg rolls and salad was enough for two meals. The chicken was nicely seasoned and moist. I also like that they use spring mix and not the traditional iceberg or romaine for a taco salad. The shell was extra crunchy and didn't get soggy. AMAZING!! Shannon was quick to refill our drinks, very attentive and is easy to have a conversation with. The crab dip had great flavor; the brioche chips were baked perfectly. Great find in Columbia, PA. About 40 min from Hershey. The crab dip over Old Bay beer battered fries was great - a house specialty. Right mix of salty and creamy. Followed that up with sandwiches. Craig had pastrami (genuine house made) with onion rings - all was really great. I had chicken Philly - pick your toppings which made it even more delicious. I got provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles with Dijon mustard. Bread was soft and crunchy and all was well flavored. We will be back - worth the drove. read more

I've eaten here twice and I've been very happy both times with my meal. One Wednesday they feature a huge rib rack with fries and Cole slaw for $14! I tried it one night and it was amazing. The ribs are so huge we joked about them looking like the ribs that Fred Flintstone gets in his car that tips the car over! They were more peppery than sweet which I normally don't get but I really liked their sauce, it was yummy. The other time I got the nachos with pulled pork which were another huge meal! Perfect for sharing with a big group or be prepared to leave some left on the table if you eat them by yourself. The staff is very pleasant, timely and helpful. I've had great experiences and I'll be back for sure! read more

This is a very nice place to come eat very close to the Columbia River. The staff is super friendly. Anything with the crab on the menu is delicious. They do have outside seating and plenty of cover from the sun. Full bar as well. As must try if you are in the Columbia PA area. read more

First time eating here and we were pleasantly surprised. 2 of us had the Crab Cobb salad and it was delicious. Plenty of crab meat and the presentation was great. orange crush was their drink special and it was very tasty. I had the chili which was very filling and very good. 2 others had the French onion soup and unfortunately it was swimming in butter, way too greasy. The taco salad was great along with the ceasar salad. Service was excellent. Will def be returning. read more

The food was better when they had different staff in the kitchen. I love the house drinks and seasonal cocktails they put out. The service is sketchy - was here for a drink with my boyfriend and the bartender was nodding out (obviously on drugs) while taking to us. No one else came to help or take over her duties. I stumbled upon this spot super randomly after a visit to the watch and clock museum last month, and was super impressed! Loved the ambiance of being a hole in the wall without being dingy. I LOVED the cheese fries, and the sangria I had was to die for. I also want to shout out my bartender - I'm so sorry, I can't recall her name!! - for being so willing to walk me through Pennsylvania alcohol laws. Texas doesn't let you buy cans at the bar and take them home, but it's also much easier to find a six-pack at grocery stores and corner stores, and I was LOST. Very thankful for the explanation and the peach ciders. :) read more

Ok! Where to start...Had a wonderful time! Loved our server and the food!! Now this is were my frustration comes in. As a server myself and hell also a bar tender and food runner, I myself became frustrated because even though my server was super present, attentive and just down right pleasant we had a slight emergency and needed a glass of water (and please note we all rejected the glass of water when we were first sat which our lovely server did offer to us) I went to the bartender the closest avenue to that said water and asked for said water... she was not happy that I asked her instead of our server, to the point that the bartender then went to our server and said something which in return caused our server to feel bad and so she and another server brought extra water to our table. This all being said.... We as restaurant owners/servers/bartenders/cooks/food runners and all those in between are and should be working as a unit not against each other! It's not this is your job and that my job environment. Union station is and has been one of my go to stops and when I see coworkers being treated miss poorly that truly prevents me from wanting to return. Again thank you to our server and your coworker for your attentiveness and I'm sorry for the actions of the bartender, you both did nothing wrong. Nim 5 starts for our severs 1 star for the bar tender! read more

This place was an unexpected treat. The Brussel Sprouts were some of the best I have ever had. The New York Sour was great and a nice change of pace for a cocktail. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the Columbia area. My only complain was the only outdoor seating is also where they allow smoking. So even though no one was there smoking, the whole area smelled of a dirty ashtray. We ended up sitting inside on a beautiful day! read more

I will say I was impressed the second time around, though the hollandaise sauce needs work! Here's a quick blender recipe Ingredients: 3 egg yolks, 1 tbsp lemon juice, pinch salt, 1/2 cup hot melted butter. No need to make it from powder. You "can" taste the difference! Side parking lot had a bit of a wet hole in the gravel and one handicap spot, but we squeezed in anyway.

The atmosphere was nice and there is a huge back section outside with rocks that the kids were able to play in since no one was seated there. They have a covered patio as well as an open area closer to the bar- lots of outdoor space. The food took a little bit to come out but they were understaffed. The food was DELICIOUS! We had mild wings, pretzel sticks and the famous PB burger. Everything was fresh and hot and perfectly seasoned. I'll say these were the best wings I've had in PA! Great spot, we will be back for sure, I highly recommend stopping in!!

I was really impressed by the freshness of my salad and the chicken was clearly cooked to order and well seasoned. I wanted something healthy after eating out for multiple days on end, and this dish made me feel so much better. My dad went with the roast beef which he really enjoyed and kept commenting on the tenderness of the beef. My mom and brother went with the crab cakes and the hot dog-which they both finished completely and reportedly enjoyed. For dessert, my parents went with ice cream and lemon meringue pie. I didn't try the ice cream because lactose intolerance -but the bite of the pie I sampled was delicious. There is also an adjacent gift shop next to the restaurant which had tons of different gift options. They also offered us free candy for international women's day, which was a nice touch! Hinkle's is definitely worth a visit, and I'd especially recommend a visit for families- and don't skip on the dessert!

My daughter is nursing, and my granddaughter has soy and dairy allergies, so we had to be very careful with her meal. Our waiter, Matt, was outstanding. He went above and beyond, checking with the kitchen multiple times to make sure everything was completely free of soy and dairy. He helped put together a custom salad bowl for her, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we had such a lovely experience--from the food to the atmosphere to the attentive service. I would absolutely recommend this spot and would gladly return.
